Hey Nextdoor neighbors, The last couple of years l've been collecting gold and silver coins and bullion. Im the youngest coin collector that attends the Marietta coin show once every month. As being apart of the younger generation the history behind the currency is just a none stop learning experience as of the earlier assumed date is around 650 BC a still going on today. I'm trying to clear out some of my lower valued coins to invest in coins with higher value. Also it is a great way to start teaching the children how to invest into gold and silver which in this market is rarely a decrease in the face value. With gold and silver coins there's a lot of different ways to price certain coins such as one being either gold or silver value as-well as the coins face or natural coloring in the coin. Overall, this app really does a great job identifying most coins. It does a decent job grading most coins as well and generally, I like this app. What I wish for is if it would list your total collection by Troy ounces for the various metals instead of just grams. It does have a slight lag as to when it pulls current metal spot prices so verify on your other apps for true spot price before you trust this app 100%. It does not do very well identifying medallions or other non-coin products produced from the US mint. It would be nice if this app could allow for cataloging of bullion rounds and bars just that way you have a singular platform for tracking your holdings and collections. As far as the AI goes and mint error or variety detection they point you in the correct direction but they'll give you generic examples from other coins to show a double dye or rotated dye or other various defects. It doesn't reference the specific coin that you just scanned such as some of the varieties of Morgan dollars so it gives you general ideas to what to look for but not any great phenomenal detail in the AI just isn't quite there yet to spot a variety of a Morgan dollar or a penny with a wide a.m.. I like this app I enjoy it.

This is the app that I have needed for a few years now. I really never bothered to look through the App Store because I just assumed there would not be an app that could actually do everything that I needed done. I buy & sale antiques & vintage items & occasionally I will see a good deal on a bulk coin Lot, so I usually have to go thru the whole lot one by one and look up the info on each one, and while it is a lot of fun & very interesting, it’s very time consuming.. so I just happened to look in the App store and this app scans the coin, tells you everything about the coin in a matter of seconds & lists in a collection for you. It can also grade the coin for you and has alot of other features as well. So basically, this App covers any & everything that someone may need done when collecting coins of any kind. Not just American coins… all foreign coins as well. Excellent App for coin collectors or for anyone that may be just needing to identify what type of coin, grade, estimated price, ect… of just a few coins.

And really easy to use and most importantly you get really excited when you take a picture of a coin and the pricing that shows up as like $6,000, yup even I had not just one but maybe like 2 or 3 that said it was worth more than $6,000 so it gets exciting when that happens. There’s a lot more things that this app can do for free so much I can’t really think of all of them lol. It’s and amazing app you learn about coins and have some excitement and some fun as well I highly recommend this app even if your not into coins like that I would just try it out and I’m telling you’ll end up being so into coins, and of course if you are already into coins and some reason you have found or downloaded this is well just say your missing out lol👍💙

CoinSnap is essential in organizing and sorting the collections, whether professional, amateur or simply informal. Accuracy, although NOT perfect is very high and primarily in identifying correct mint marks. Keeping up with new coinage is obviously an ongoing, never-ending process and CoinSnap generally meets this challenge, although still working on 2024 US coinage, most of which must be manually documented (at this time). 2025 coinage is seriously lacking and although already past the first quarter of this year, very few coins are accurately identified. CoinSnap developers “might” consider accepting new coin scans performed by selected users to help develop the next new year of mintage. *1st SUGGESTION: Would like to be able to manually move my custom sets in preferred order, instead of order by use. *2nd SUGGESTION: Would like to move sets into “sub-category” or “folder”… for example: • I compiled a set of birth-year coins for each family member for Christmas gifts. Each set identified by family member initials and date-of-birth. This set also provided estimated values for each set BUT the printout for each set was too small to be legible AND the set remains in MY record, although given to family (no longer in my possession). While still waiting for the 2024 & 2025 “updates” I am still a solid CoinSnap supporter and continue to use it for every new addition to my collection. gds

I use this app on a day to day basis to scan coins such as loose change that I get as change from buying things. The app works great! A lot of amazing features come even with the free version of the app. I use the free version and I have unlimited identifications of coins and, as far as I know, I can also add an unlimited amount of coins to my collection. This tells you a lot about the coin that you scanned and it shows you the value. My only recommendation would be that if you scan a coin multiple times and you don’t think it’s giving you the right result, check the example photos and see if those photos match your coin, and also make sure it’s the right variant too (ex. A silver quarter vs a non-silver quarter.) This is only if you have scanned one coin multiple times and it is showing different results, which is quite a rare occurrence. Overall, amazing app, lots of features for free, good job!

Started collecting coins with my kids few years ago, now we’re in the process of cataloging, grading (with our nonprofessional eyes) and valuing the collection..one coin at a time. I spent hours taking photos of coins and looking up specs and history of each coin on the internet. Weighing and measuring, it’s been about 2 coins an hour until I found CoinSnap. We just got the app and have gone through two coins but it’s a fantastic app for what I need. I just put the coin on a flat surface with good light and good contrast between the coin and background. I’m using a black mouse pad, works great. The app guides you through taking the picture, it tells you when to snap the pic. It only took the app 2 or 3 seconds to identify and grade the coin. It presents you with all of the coin attributes you could want, specs (thickness, weight, diameter, scent). I definitely recommend this app based on my use so far.

This is a pretty good app. I’m impressed with how well the camera on this app picks up the details on the coins. You can start collections of what coins you have and even look up foreign coins. So your able yo do enough without buying. The one thing I would change is the error check. Right now, you snap a pic, then have option to grade the coin or see the know error coins for that year. With in the error coin section it give you the option to ‘check’ but its only a very generic and a bit vague description of the type of error. I’d much rather have a separate ‘learning’ type of section telling about the different kinds of error coins out there and under check have some pictures of the actual error coins or examples of other. It would also be nice to have a daily/streak bonus of some kind to entice me to come back on more of a regular basis. Maybe a silly game type of component, or a daily coin to collect would be sweet.

This app is great in identifying coins and categorizing them where you can come back to update or decide on sending them to be professionally graded. It would be even better if it could assign a numerical number to the graded coin such as AU58 or MS70, currently the best I can get is the letter designation of the grade. Also it doesn’t distinguish between Mint state or proof grade either only shows results as mint state coins for all of the mints. Another important part of grading a coin is the type of finish on the coin such as cameo or deep cameo which would also be a great improvement to this app. Currently the user has to manually input these selections to correctly log the completed coin entry. With these improvements to the imaging gathering aspect of the app it would definitely be a “have to have” tool for any collector, amateur or professional.

Great app for a novice coin collector. But there are GUI issues. For example, when you “grade” a coin (by taking its photo), and decide to “add it to a collection”, it doesn’t store the photo you just took. Instead, it stores a generic reference photo in your collection in addition to its Grade. If you want the actual photo (without the Grade), you have to use the different camera icon. When you manually add the value of the coin, the pop up window with the number-pad totally covers the rest of the screen & its difficult to close the number-pad (ie, no ‘cancel’, ‘close’ or ‘ok’ button). Overall, good app if you just want simple grading. In fact, I have several PCGS graded coins that the app gave the same grade too. Only real drawback on grading (which is very subjective), is that the app will only grade ranges, not specific values. For example, it will grade a coin as MS but not specifically MS63. This is a bit frustrating since MS runs from MS60-MS70.

There are no decent apps that I have uncovered if your aim is to value your coin (and bullion) collection. It has been my intention to find an easy-to-use app that will allow me to create a digital collection of all my coins and bullion, so that I have an inventory list along with an approximate valuation for each piece and the collection as a whole. This app is so far the closest I have found, and I believe that the developers can get it there with a little more effort. Coin valuation: the built-in grading system works well overall. I’m confounded that when you choose to grade a coin it displays a singular estimated value, yet when you go to look at your coin later in after added to your collection it will only show you a range based on current market conditions and not the specific value it originally estimated. This is problematic as the range displayed is usually quite wide. Somehow the app has the original value stored as it will display the collection’s estimated value at the top of the screen. Yes, there is an ability for the user to directly input a singular value but that defeats the purpose of measuring your collection’s value as markets change. I assume I am not the only person who collects silver rounds, 90% junk or other PM’s for their metal content as well as numismatic coins. I would like to see an option to create a collection where the user can input bullion coin type and quantity, displaying value based on spot pricing. There are other improvements needed, but these two would go a long, long way. I hope the development team reads this.

I love this app, but it has its problems. First of all I have the premium subscription for this app and it still has the same problems… frustrating! The main problem with this app is that whenever I open the app on my iPad it automatically rotates to the side… meaning that I have to hold my iPad all weird. With it rotated like that it’s really hard to take pictures on this app because of my iPad case. I have tried everything but nothing can fix it. It’s very frustrating to be paying for this and have the same bad issues! It would make sense for it to rotate if this app was for phones alone, but it says that it is a iPhone and iPad app. That’s primarily the only reason that I am giving this app a three star rating. I do love the rating system tho! developers, please read.

I love Coin Snap! I went yesterday to Tyler Texas to 2 Coin buyer shops I mentioned Coin Snap already thoroughly verified every coin it took me 3 days to check out! He immediately said bad things about Coin Snap and as a devoted Christian I told him he lied and Coin Snap was honest and fantastic and had a very high rating! I won’t lie! I walked out! The other was about the same she said never believe anything online! I said bye I grabbed my coins and left! I’m proud to be a member of Coin Snap! I have lung cancer and I have over $25,000 worth of coins I am asking Coin Snap help me to sell them for my chemo treatments! Friends, please don’t listen to these people who doesn’t want you to use Coin Snap! I’ve never been interested in coins, but while clearing clutter throughout my house I found over $300 in coins. Some foreign currency, old coins, & otherwise interesting coins. I tried a few coin identification apps and quickly selected this one! The scanning feature is flawless and very forgiving even when I wasn’t holding the camera very steadily. The app is very user friendly and intuitive. I love how I can quickly see enough to decide if each coin was a keep or spend, plus there’s a surprising amount of interesting information. I easily created custom categories to organize the coins I wanted to keep It worked perfectly during the 7-day free trial and I was able to easily scan all my coins in that time. I hadn’t planned to pay for the app, but I learned so much about my coins and had so much fun scanning them that I paid for a year and I now scan every coin I get! The only glitch I found is sometimes when I start scanning coins, the first time I try to add them to one of my categories, they don’t show up as an option. If I go to the collections tab and look at my categories, THEN go back to save a new coin, my categories are available!

I sent a message earlier when asked about if I was a collector. I would like to add a little more to my answer I have saved some coins through out my time. I also have some coins that my mother had saved. I feel the need to update my answers to the questions. I , along with everything I had said, I am kinda starting to get into the mindset that it would be something I would like doing. My eyes are getting so bad it’s hard for me to see the dates on most coins. I believe that is one reason I have such a hard time getting excited. I would like also add that while metal detecting I found a 1989 Indian head Penny from Illinois and a 1890 from Texas. I wish I had more experience as a younger person. I could have really liked it and my brain was a little bit sharper. Thank you again.

Great app I have had old coins. That people told me were worth money googling them ya you see that. But this app gives a pro grade algorithm to go off of. Although some pictures don’t show the coin and its details good sometimes or the color or shine it still has. I placed every coin in a little bag so they are not getting air out being touched. So taking a picture through the bag makes it look different. So sometimes it gets a lower quality value and grading. I wish the was a place to put them up to see if people are interested in them. Negotiate a fair price for everyone from the grading and with the coin actually looks like on how much they actually want. If there is a place to put them up for sale or at least up for auction that be cool.

So I find CoinSnap to be incredibly useful and keeping my collection organized. I don’t give too much credit to the valuation of each individual coin as I believe there are factors that CoinSnap just can’t pick up on. However, I have learned a lot about my own personal collection and there’s something to be said for the organization that it provides for larger collections over 1000 pieces. like most any app one needs to be patient. It crashes on occasion, but it does not lose any data. I wish you were a little bit easier to sort/search through a collection when adding new pieces. this process can get a little tedious when you have over 70 to 80 countries to sort through.

I’m enjoying using this app heavily. Sometimes it misses but usually fixes itself on the next try. I really like the auto snap which can go quickly if you’re scanning a lot of coins. That being said, I would like to see better, more accurate price estimates perhaps using an API that updates maybe not constantly but even once a day would be better than showing MS-69 Silver Eagles being only worth $51 when melt is $58, and if you input your own valuation it doesn’t show the new amount next to the coin image/listing although it seems to add it in the set total. wish it graded color for cents, and more error varieties in the ID function. There, you asked! Good value and I use it every day 😺😺

I find Coin Snap to be easy to use and very useful. There is a feature I would like to see that would make information available which is already in your database. Occasionally I want to look up information on a specific coin but the app does not allow that function. If you had the coin in hand it would give you the info but there is no way I know of to inquire about a coin without actually having it. I still love the app and recommend it to others. Also, I find it to be consistent in giving the same reading on a coin at different times. So far I have been able to give it international coins and it identifies them quickly. Great app

Great App! I’m really enjoying it! I do wish that there were more photos of each coin and year. Especially for the error coins and understanding of each type of coin error. Perhaps you could use the best pictures that are uploaded on here on this app to give better detail on each specific coin and it’s errors. I volunteer for my coin scans to be used as examples (If you find any good ones!) I’m sure others would love to as well so we can all learn more details on all of coins. Maybe give a free year membership or do a contest for some prizes. Anywho, looking forward to your app’s next improvements and updates! Thank you!!! You guys rock!!!

Okay, i love the app and all it makes my life so much easier trying to figure out what my coins are, because the same task takes 10 minutes will google images, but i scanned a 25 years in Texas coin to see how much it was worth, and it said it was a special Olympian collectible. And the app basically tried to gaslight me into thinking that the coin was an olympian coin of some sort. It even said the text said something completely different on the coin. I KNOW HOW TO READ!!!. And i saw that you need a member ship for more accurate results. Why do i need to pay 9+ dollars a month to figure what my Japanese coin is. After i already paid to get the coin itself. It makes me mad. Developers, please fix this it would be amazing

It’s a very nice app it’s good to get a roundabout price. It would be nice to tell you what the imperfections are in the coins that are worth a lot. For instance, it could be worth between eight cents and $256,000 and that’s with the date, and the mint stamp on it, so then I have to go to a different site and see what people are selling it for and see what the imperfections are. That’s about the only problem I have with the app. It’s been great. I haven’t pulled out my coin collection since I was 13 and now I am 42 and some of the stuff I have seems like it could be worth a lot of money. So now I’m gonna go to a coin specialist and get them appraised. And I wouldn’t have done that without this site I seen it, and it made me remember about my coins in my old hope chest

I have definitely enjoyed getting to learn about the different types of coins, not just from the United States but ones I had from other countries. It does definitely educate you and also helps you understand about how coins are graded and/or valued. I never knew any information, but I had a bunch of change and I was curious so I tried it out. The only thing that I wish that it also had was a way that you could advertise your coins if they were legitimately valuable to other collectors that might be interested to help you sell them, especially if you are not a hobbyist with coins. It has peekef my interest now in collecting coins.

Very impressed with coin snap. I downloaded it from the App Store, entered the required card info, and was checking my first coin all within 5 minutes. I don’t know anything about checking the value of coins but this app seems to know quite a bit. I snapped a picture front and back of a nickel laying on the table and hit “check” within seconds I was provided with all kinds of information including value which as it turns out was worth more than 5 cents five times more actually! The trial period is only 7 days but I’m already contemplating the annual fee of $29. Who knows with this app I might find one coin that can pay that off 😁

While no photo can perfectly capture a coin’s true value, the detailed data provided for each cataloged coin—along with access to expert data and reviews and a robust library of reference books—makes this an incredibly powerful tool. I’m genuinely enjoying everything it offers and now have a clear and reasonable understanding of what my collection may be worth. Easily a five-star app and highly recommended.

As a novice in simply trying to identify the value of some coins I’ve had sitting around, this app is easy to use and provides me with a great amount of detail for each coin, and the ability to create sets of those coins that are more valuable than expected. With that said, I feel the video ads that led me to use this app are a bit misleading in that it appears that one can scan the coin, get the value, and have the choice at that point to sell the coin directly from the app. This I don’t believe is true. It would be nice to have that option, or at least provide reference to reputable resources or partners that recognize your results that I could sell direct to. Remember, I’m a novice.

Honestly, this app is really great. It’s not always 100% accurate, but it is definitely 95% accurate most of the time. It’s been really useful for me since I’ve started using it, and I have become more interested in collecting coins. There’s just one thing I hope they update, which is 2025 coins. When scanning a coin, you can change the date and mintmark if they got it incorrectly, but whenever I scan my 2025 coins, it doesn’t give me the option to change it to 2025, and the latest year is 2024. I hope they change this soon but either way, it is still a really good app for anyone interested in coins.

I really like this app, works well as far as it goes. However I’m not a gambler and since the developer does not reveal what options you get if you pay for it, I’m unwilling to spend money to find out if you can organize your coins into groups such as country of origin or types of coins and to print out the results. I used the app to identify more than 50 coins and it accurately identified 49 of them. Mint marks were accurately noted in about half, but condition and therefore value were way too generous. You have to scan the coin twice to get the condition and that value isn’t adjustable as the mint mark judgments are. If the above conditions were corrected, this app would be well worth it.

Sometimes when I take pictures of coins with tails first then heads, it swaps them to the correct order. Other times it leaves it in the wrong order, or if it’s in the right order it swaps it to the wrong order. This is very confusing and I have to take multiple tries for each coin to make heads come first. Please make it so either you can choose the order of the pictures, or make it so heads automatically comes first and you can swap it if you want. Very annoying for things like my state coin collection where half of them show heads and half show tails. I want to be able to have them all in the same orientation so I can easily see which ones I have.

You can scan add to your stacks to keep track of the value of your hoard based on the current and ever changing SPOT price of that super sexy metal… S I L V E R and her friend Gold A N D also immediately scam identify and appraise any of those obscure 1 Oz. bullion bars, rounds or that 3.5 Oz coin from Uzbekuhrhabuhflabumhenuhkrackistan that’s worth a bugillion Greenland Flogers…seriously this APP will tell what your coin is worth…so get it, subscribe, use it and keep track of your coins and bullion! But that’s just my 2 cents…

I got the this app because I recently started my own coin collection. It looks a tiny bit complicated at first, but you can easily figure out the whole app within a few minutes. There’s a collectors guide and a camera feature you can use to learn more about a coin and what it is worth in collectors eyes and basic reference value. But there was just one thing I was a little annoyed at. They used the same picture for a variety of coins that has different montages and dates instead of having individual pictures. If they update that this app is 11/10 for sure. (Comes with a free trial!!)

Like most people you get a weird coin in your change. Rather than sending it back, you put it in your pocket. Same for when you travel. You usually put them in a container and forget them. Now this app makes it so easy to take a picture (both sides) of the coin and find its origin and value. I was pleasantly surprised when I scanned a really dirty US quarter. Even though I couldn’t see it, it was minted in 1943 and was worth a lot more then $0.25. Try it. It’s fun, you may get some or a lot of current currency in exchange.

This is a good app for identifying coins. It can tell you where the coin is from, the condition of the coin, the coin’s value, and sometimes it can even tell you what year it is from! All you have to do is scan the two sides of the coin. Once you scan the coin you can save it to your "collection" where you can view a list of all of the coins you have saved to your collection. You can also look at a map where you can see the geographic distribution of your coins. It also tells you how many countries you have coins from and how many coins you have from each country.

I love this app, though it has one problem. It keeps track of your official sets, which is nice because I collect them to put into quarter books. Unfortunately everything isn’t apart of their “official sets” but they fix this by allowing you to add your own sets. My one thing about this feature, is in order to use it you must add the quarters as you scan them. This is not too much of an inconvenience but I found this feature after scanning all of my coins. This is a great app that I would recommend, just would like if they made it where you can select the coins you previously scanned and add them to a set.

Is pretty close pretty good most of the points is on a point and I like it because sometimes you don’t pay attention but this website can show you or remind you of that a.m. there’s so many that as we all know there’s so many of them but this website helped you too pinpoint them for you. So you won’t miss anything. Pricing is AI so you have to make sure that you understand the prize is in the market and compare compared to the price if they have and stick with the price that you wanna pay for that that’s it overall one of the best website I ever come by so far.

I find that my CoinSnap app is a great tool to catalog all of my coins. It’s simple to use and I love the fact that I could have multiple collections. However, I do not like that. It does not total the value that I put in and only totals what the app says it is worth which unfortunately is incorrect 30 to 40% of the time because it does not account for errors, and variety’s that effect price like first strike, Dcam…ect. Also many times far over estimating the value. I would it to show me both totals. It would also be helpful if it reminded me of known errors to look for with a graphic of what and where I am looking for it. Good app…could be great.

This app is by far the best for coins. It gives you so much details, and I think the last thing to make this app even better would be to add a place to sell them. People have a hard time finding someone to sell coins, at least I do, and I know that if we could sell them that would make it so much easier on me. Please consider it. But even if you don’t sell the coins if we choose to put them up for sale, it’s an amazing app. If I could give it higher than a five out of five I would. Keep it up! I love using the CoinSnap app, it’s correct almost all the time. As long as the picture is clear it’s hardly ever wrong. I have had it be wrong with a couple coins it didn’t readily recognize. I like the fact that you can change the year on the coin if it’s wrong, however what I really love about the app is the description it gives on the coin along with whether the coin is common or rare. It truly is a great site to use to identify coins, and it also puts your coins into a collection that you can save. There are many great features with this app.

Doesn’t recognize some coins but the camera does all the adjustedments on its own and even snaps the pic when It’s ready so all u have to do is point the phone with one hand and rotate the coin in the other it the app does everything else for u and makes it pretty easy .

It literally thought a coin worth like 0.37cents was an Italian WW1 coin which is like 24$ so CoinSnap is sooo nice😁

I have a 2023 Elsie MacGill Colored BU, One Dollar Loonie, Canadian $1. The app is unable to identify it because the app hasn’t been updated to recognize 2023 coins. Otherwise this app is amazing and you don’t need the pro version to identify coins which is awesome.

Works great for majority of world coins I wish it would have error identifiers under varietys or separate columns

Love this app. I think some coins should have a little more value since the years are over 15 years old. I wish it could do this for bills as well. Overall love it.

CoinSnap is a great resource for quickly identifying a collection of coins or just every time you find one that you’re finding on a daily basis it’s the easiest just pulling up the app on your phone. It’s super easy to use and I am happy that I have it.

Absolutely bothers app

I’ve tried a number of coin apps and this app by far is the best laid out, visually appealing, most detailed information with text and images. Easy to use, scans the best of all the other apps. And immediate results. Customer service is quick to reply with detailed and understandable responses. I hope the developers keep up the great work by adding valuable features and different types of sorting and identifying features to keep above the other apps. Well done. March 17, 2026

I love this app and it isn’t a money grab like they don’t only let do like two analysts then be like ohh you need to pay big bucks to do more. You have a lot of scans and I haven’t reached the limit yet once I can afford to get the subscription def will get it mainly cuz they deserve it

Worked well for what I needed although many of the “collector” coins it identifies as worth 2 to 3 times their face value, are not worth trying to sell because “everyone” saved them.

I took a star off because the reference image for seated dollars still shows a counterfeit coin. This seems like a pet peeve but it’s my favorite series so I’m biased. I am a coin dealer who has been involved in the hobby for 13 years. I saw the clickbait ads showing pocket change coins being valued at $5-$500 so I figured I’d give the app a shot. The identification works as expected but many apps have done this before. The price guide isn’t accurate but I’d argue no price guide today, even something like Greysheet wholesale bid isn’t accurate to the true market value of a coin as there are so many factors that influence the value. Finally the grading. I’m actually impressed how decently well this app grades. It gives a broad range but I can forgive that as I know grading isn’t an exact science. It shows Goods and Goods, VG’s as VG’s, VF’s as VF’s, AU’s as AU’s. I’m pleasantly surprised it works decently well. I feel it may have a bias for brighter or dipped coins and a bias against darker coins with XF-AU level of detail but the app I feel still grades pretty well to give someone who is not as informed a general idea as to the grade of their coin. Not sure what the subscription thing is for. I hate subscription services. Just let me pay a flat 30 bucks to access all the features permanently dammit! Anyways despite the ads being obnoxious I’m surprised the app is of much higher quality then I expected.

Me and my grandpa collect coins together so when I saw a ad for this I knew that it was exactly what I needed and I got it and it did bombard me with subscriptions and premium deals which was really annoying and it also only lets premium members use the extra good identification so I am mad about that but other than that it was pretty good but the developers need to make the extra good identification for everyone because it is not fair and I should not have to pay 9+ dollars a month so that I get a specific answer from the app when I downloaded it to give me specific answers also I was trying to identify one of my grandpas coins that is rare and is from ancient china so I specified the exact dynasty and that coin identifier robot guy denied the empire ever existed and would not give me a straight answer and then at the end it asked me if the results were satisfactory and I said no and it said the developers are always working to improve it wich I do not believe because if that was true then it would have been made completely free a long time ago. The normal coin identification process is actually pretty well made so I can give the developers that but it definitely needs improvement

It was good but it really could have been a little more specific with all of the pricing it gave. Me and my younger sister don't have the money for it but as it said. Free 7 day trial but after I had deleted the app it popped up again and asked if I was going to continue the subscription when I didn't subscribe to anything except the free trial and this app should not charge me because I only used it for a couple minutes and only ONE day. It should not continue the subscription if someone only used it one time and that one time is only 15 minutes max. I understand about losing money if people download and delete it over and over again but that isn't with everyone. Some people just need to check the priced if their coins because they just want to check for fun and it is no fun if you are also having to pay a fee that you basically didn't even use. This coin game have better not charged this account because that is not fair to the 15 minute user on this app. I have already deleted it so please don't charge the account given on. It is not like I would be using a coin app every single day for years to come. Please, i'm asking the owner of this app to not charge this account for 15 minutes of usage. Thank you.

Considering:The biggest issue is there no security services for data transmission also you don’t need our personal identity there lot apps out there not gathering your personal identity about us I mean is if your company computers get hacked by other countries they will have our personal identity , to credit other personal information it will happens I know couple yrs ago a bank and some companies where hacked. Any data collected from other app through through a secure connection. So I give better rating if the was some security services put up. I know a police chief where I live will say same thing. That’s why I give on star there no security for data collecting. I will download again if there is security devices innext update for data transfer and linked not to our personal identity. Developers did a poor in sight about security services in data collectingand for linking in personal identity to the company computer. Pros: the grading, information, value, reading heavily worn coins it’s a nice app. But the cons listed above is why I give a poor rating with one star. So maybe if developers add security services and the app not linked our personal identity to your server’s I will give a better rating and reinstall the app

This game is amazing. It’s useful and perfect for me since I love collecting old things because it’s cool to think about- but that’s past the point. All the info on the coins inputted are spectacular, but, I do have one grudge with one of my coins, which, shows up as some different coin when I take a picture of it. The coin is this “library coin” and it’s super interesting. But it just doesn’t look like my coin when I see the actual pictures of it. But anyways- some of my other critiques, are easy to handle. 4/5 for that because it’s SO hard to get the perfect fit for my coins. But it’s amazing and organized and super easy to find what I want to look at. My last problem is that it’s SO SLOWW. It has a few bugs especially when it comes to the loading the coin pages up. Every time it can’t load, I have to double click the button, restart the app and take another picture of it. That’s one of the burg reasons I put a 3. Still, overall a great app to approach if you have a coin collection and you want to know the value. Stay safe :)

I had downloaded the trial on my iPad to see if it would us usful enough to look up some things for my father. Before getting to try out the app I broke my iPad and had to make a claim on replacement. I received it and had to use a iCloud back up from my iPhone instead of the tablet I originally installed on. The same night I activated my replacement tablet with my carrier I received a notification from PayPal with a unfamiliar charge from apple. It was this app charging me for a full year sub. I immediately cancelled and contacted apple and PayPal for a dispute as I felt I had never gotten the chance to either use the app at all nor a chance to cancel before getting charged since I replaced my ipad. Thinking I’d get an understanding response for my situation, these lowlifes apparently need that money more than my family and are actually refuting my request for a refund. I’ll be reviewing and sharing this experience anywhere I can with my spare time. Avoid this app, they are horrible at communicating when a concern comes to rise.

I signed up for a free one week subscription, and there was a very clear notice that said I would not be charged for a yearly subscription after the one week. There was another notice that said they would send me a reminder when the subscription ended and before I would be charged for the yearly subscription. This did not happen. No notification was sent and I was charged for the yearly subscription a day before the one week free subscription ended. Apple denied my refund. Now I am stuck with paying $50 for your subscription of an app that I tested a few times and found it to not work very accurately. Be aware that this app is not accurate and it’s results as it found a Canadian quarter I had and said it was a US quarter and many other mistakes. Also, this is a bit of a scam with the subscription free for a week and charging you before the week is up without any notifications that they claim they will send prior to charging you.

I have a premium membership and I really have a loved it. Extremely helpful on foreign coins. But the reason I can’t give it five stars is because I can find no way to import the coins that don’t photograph well enough for the app. Some of us collectors have very old, if not ancient coins that we have researched and know what it is, but there’s no way to put it in our collection inside the app because it doesn’t photograph well enough. It would be great to see an option after the photograph is taken that you can click on input coin data if it is wrong. Currently you’re limited to maybe changing a year and a grading but no way to change the name of the type of coin. If there is an option, and I just can’t find it, let me know and I will change my rating, because I do really enjoyed the app!

Do not go with this service and do not fall for their “free trial period”. I had an expired card so the payment didn’t go through when the trial period ended and I got an email notifying me of that. So I promptly deleted the app to avoid being charged, the app also refused to work until I updated the card. It did not matter, it charged $40 a full month later when I updated my card with Apple. Which means I paid for “premium access” and did not get to utilize for one second after the “free trial period”. I didn’t even have the app in my phone when I was charged. I was able to cancel the subscription but of course that won’t be cancelled until next year. Other coin apps (like CoinFacts) are free, work well and aren’t trying to take advantage of most people not knowing how to cancel a subscription until it’s technically too late. It is deeply disappointing when companies function like this.

So I was really excited to sort out this jar of pennies I have into “Spend” and “Get Appraised”. I thought this app would be a HUGE help-I was wrong. Not only does the app not tell me if I have an error coin, it also only provides brief descriptions about the coin’s POTENTIAL errors. And not even customized descriptions either. 1984 pennies mention possible errors of die breaks or off center strikes, but heavens forbid it bothers to mention double ears or other visual cues to pick up on. And even if you understand the very vague descriptions there aren’t any pictures specific to each coin so I’ve got something to compare with. This is with premium service! Paying for premium, I’d expect a catalog of references for error coins for visual comparison, since the AI doesn’t actually seem to ID error coins like we’re led to believe. Very disappointed.

Read review with excitement I downloaded app and uploaded my first coin thinking this app was gonna help me with my collected coins I’ve gathered over a lifetime but then I realized there wasn’t an option for circulated coins I’ve acquired (which pretty much is my whole collection) -when grading coins this app only allows for uncirculated coins I guess. I didn’t see an option to select ie: pocket change or coins acquired in circulation or found coin from change etc as I believe other downloaders of this app assumed besides me- mislead by advertisements THIS APP DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE VALUE OF YOUR OLD COINS YOU'VE COLLECTED OVER THE YEARS - it only gives the expected value of minted or proof uncirculated collected coins which most people don’t really have or care about I want to know how much value if any my old coins found over the years have -meaning: does this 1965 silver quarter I found while doing laundry have a value more than the 25 cents it’ll credit me in this washing machine right now?! If you add this ”circulated option” to your “grading and value search” in your coin app then I’ll give you five stars and a favorite app of all time review.

First of all I’ll start by saying an app like this is very hobby oriented and helpful and I like the option of knowing that curiosity is key and having an app like this helps hone in on a specific hobby with nice precision and easy to navigate…however to charge $40 is crazy…anyone just getting into coin collecting or watching in general will inevitably feel defeated before you start…like you can’t casually show interest then get more involved or invested..the app is like learn the controls in a week then $40 and honestly this isn’t an app you use daily unless this is you line of work or lifestyle choice…sorry for the rant I just wish it was more accessible/affordable for those who are more intro to maybe…ya know reel’em in then take my money lol…now if this is for the elite then correct me and I’ll change my view on the app all together

On the CoinSnap application CoinSnap told me to do a review so here how it goes. The reason why I’m giving CoinSnap a 1 star review is because of multiple things I dislike about the app. 1.This app exits its self out frequently and also when taking pictures of coins most of the time the app will show you a picture of a coin that is way different then the one that you try/tried to take a picture of. 2.This app will not let you or anyone else view each other’s coin collection or sell them on there Facebook page (for the fact these things I wrote on number 2 is not even listed on the game description on the App Store so the people that are thinking to download the app don’t know about this). 3.After downloading the app, once you enter through the app you are immediately required to accept a 7 day free trial in order to use the CoinSnap app with no warning and after the 7 day free trial you are required to pay a yearly subscription in order to use the app (also not said on the app description on the App Store). I think the only reason why CoinSnap is forcing us to a subscription is because who would give/pay this app money to use it when it’s not even worth paying for. Please read and enjoy this 1 star rating before downloading the CoinSnap app.

I had a bunch of coins and I went through all of them and thought I had some good ones took them to a coin buyer and they were worth nothing so that was a waste of money and time.

It’s been a good app this far. Some coins for some reason it can’t get right, even when the date is clear. The other issue I have is, it seems to lose coins that you have saved. Not just a couple but several and how do you know which ones have gotten deleted somehow. 3.5 stars for sure, if it wasn’t for it losing coins that you saved if definitely would of gave it 4.5

It says free but you can’t use it unless you agree to pay. Can’t even scan 1 coin so I can’t even see if it works. I won’t pre-agree to a subscription.

Doesn’t find errors. I’ve put many coins in this apps scope that have defined and noticeable errors and it does not spot them. It’s a good app but by no means is it what it is advertised as. This app could loose you a lot of value in your coin. It’s designed to spot “known” errors…possibly. Will not find new errors at all.

I gave it a try and it misidentified the first coin I checked. Not only that, it dated it as from 1947 when the coin clearly had a date of 1982 on it. Thank god I didn’t go for the $39.99 subscription

Not useful. Was scanning a family member’s collection and it is a joke. For example, we have a 2014 $3 Canadian coin with the spider on the web. It is in pristine condition still in the case and the app says it’s worth $18. Online, these coins are between $50-$115. I scanned an American gold coin commemorating the World Trade Centre in New York and the app thinks it is a Ukrainian coin. Unbelievable. Deleting the app now.

Gives unrealistic value for coins, if you think my toonie is worth 5 bucks then find me a buyer lol

I purchased this app because I have a huge amount of coins and I wanted something to easily identify and sell them. After paying for a year subscription, I find out you actually can’t sell them on this platform. They make it look like any coin you find that has value will be sold automatically. This is not the case! Buyer beware.

Doesn’t work as good as expected I tested it by taking a photo of a newer coin on one side and an older coin on the other side and it did not even notice that the two sides were from different years

I tried for testing purposes to check some game coins from Chucky Cheese. The app told me this is from I don’t know which country and it worth more than 700 dollars. How can I trust this app after that ?
