Period Diary Ovulation Tracker App Comments & Reviews

Period Diary Ovulation Tracker Positive Reviews

Idea for ImprovementThis is a great app, I really appreciate the ease of use. The ability to keep notes on each day. I just have an idea to improve the weight feature. The temperature feature when activated by double tap is automatically at 98.0 which is average for most people, however with the weight one it is automatically at 110.0 which is not as average for every person using this app. Weight is very fluctuating for many and I know that for myself, I have to scroll a lot to get to my weight. I feel like there should either be a way to type in your weight or if you keep the scroll make it so when you double tap it to activate it is set at your last recorded weight and then you can scroll and adjust from there. Either one would be more efficient. Thank you for this app and I hope to see this improvement in the future!.Version: 4.3.6

Staying on TOP of HormonesI started using the period calendar 2-years ago after having a partial hysterectomy to keep up with the revolving hormonal toll that happens every 28-days. I was looking to make a few calendar notes of cramps, hot flashes, nausea and stuff — instead I have learned MUCH MORE about my body than I could have ever anticipated. This calendar has flowers on it every month that point out to me that these are days of Ovulation. Prior to using this calendar I had trouble keeping up with that stuff. At this stage in my life it Really Makes A Difference. I am 48 and officially in menopause and thanks (in part), to this calendar I am not having a scary and unpredictable time. In fact it’s very predictable (hot flashes, chocolate cravings, sore breast, etc) thanks to this chronicling calendar. I also love that it allows me to make notes on each calendar day about intimacies or fluctuating feelings. Thanks Developers! Way to go!.Version: 3.8

All-Around Great TrackerI downloaded Period Diary about 4 years after I got my Mirena IUD. For those first few blissful years, I had no period whatsoever and life was grand. When it came back, I started tracking so that I could know when I needed to have pads and tampons on hand. As I logged more information, the tracker became more accurate and I was able to better estimate my cycle length and ovulation by pairing the app’s predictions with my physiological observations. It also comes in handy when at the gynecologist’s office and I’m asked for the date of my last menstrual period. I am not at the point of trying to conceive, but I imagine Period Tracker becomes even more useful in that scenario. Logging my period makes even that less than fun time of month a little brighter. The app is very easy to use and good at what it does. I’ll continue to use it for as long as I have a period!.Version: 3.6

Best Period tracking/mood appThis is hands down the best period app I’ve ever tried (and I’ve downloaded and/or paid for quite a few over the years). I’ve had really heavy periods along with intense PMS each month for years, and wanted to try the app to help balance my mood swings and PMS, along with letting me know my cycle better. Along with helping to sync up my cycle so I know when I’m ovulating and allowing me to know ahead of time when my expected period will be, the app also does a great job every day of letting me know additional information like what vitamins I may need, or the best foods to accompany my flow. It also suggests workouts that are best, depending on the time in my cycle, which are great. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my PMS/cravings/mood each cycle and realize my body needed more nutrients than I was giving it..Version: 4.3.6

Erased dataUPDATE: time zones affect the data on your calendar so heads up if you’re going on vacation and see that your data’s been erased?!?! The team responded to my email and once arriving home, my data was recovered. I’ve been using this app for over two years and have grown from just logging my periods. I would log my intimate dates and end up using this as a legitimate diary to log about my days. I traveled today and when I opened my app to show a friend something, all my logs were erased with the exception of one I wrote two days ago. Alongside all the days I was intimate have been eradicated and it’s frustrating to lose all this data. For two years I’ve written down dreams and much more and would rate this 5 stars if I could get my data back😕😕😕..Version: 3.6

Some good and badI’ve been a user for so long. And updates are normal, like updates help fix bugs, and make the app match new styles of the company and apps. But there was a recent update that I myself and others don’t really like. The “log your symptoms” has changed so much. And now all I log in is if my period is heavy, light, medium, if I have acne, blackheads and consolation, and my mood (confused, angry, and calm). Like wth! Those are my only options. Before I could log if I was hungry, if I had back pain, am I bloated, how bad is my constipation, etc. Oh and before the update I could log in my notes etc! I honestly wish this new update kept the format of the others for the symptom thingy because this is the only app that I can use that doesn’t say it’s for 9+ and has chat rooms, and videos on “educational” thingssss. Please take this into consideration before making the next update..Version: 4.3.2

A few bugs.First off before I criticize this app I must say it is still an app on my phone and I use it and it is very handy and is the best period tracker I've used. Now there is one bug. When I start my period the app sill says I'm late. And everyday of my period I have to manually click on each and everyday I'm on it, and it keeps saying can not change can not change, or it will delete my Previous day of starting my period, or it will think I started my period everytime. It does not manually count I have to click each and everyday from start to end my period, or it will say my period lasted 1 day. So I kinda have to fight with it to get my start to end date correct. It just a little bug. Idk how to fix it. Or if it is indeed supposed to do that. Other than that I love the app and a little fighting is worth keeping it on my phone..Version: 3.6

Best period tracking appI’ve used this app every month to keep track of my period since 2014. I like to know what day I will likely be starting my period without having to calculate the days since my last period or remember the dates myself. So easy to use, just open the app and it gives you a countdown to what day your period should start, and in my experience it is usually very accurate down to the day. When first starting to track your period with this app, you will want to keep in mind that it will take a few months of logging your cycle for the app to accurately calculate when your next period will be, since everyone is different and it is based on how long your past cycles have been. Thanks so much for this app!.Version: 3.6

Flower period appThis app is the best one I have found. My daughter just turned 13 and will not download it on her phone. She’s very embarrassed and doesn’t want anyone to see it. So, it’s on my phone. She just calls to tell me her cycle started or ended. She was pretty cute when we told her about her period would be coming in the next few years. She asked “ does it only happen one time”? I said “no, it happens every month”. That didn’t go over well at all. Then she asked “ how many times total would she get it?” I said for about 40 years. It was totally hysterical to me how she reacted but she was completely mortified. So, going back to the original question- yes! It’s a fantastic app and I hope it gets off my phone soon. I’m 49, I did my time!!.Version: 3.6

No bugs - mmpbTo previous reviewer - I think it’s just the way the app is programed —so you would need to enter just start date & end date of your periods (not every single day you’re on) so yeah. i like this app. Just 1 added feature i’d like to see: if there could be a summary list for all the notes i’ve taken every day. idk if other ladies would take different notes other than the available ones that are available in the app such as mood, temp etc, but i do keep track of my bm & what other intimate things i note. so i’d love love it if i can view all my notes on 1 page say for like the week or the month and then if incan export it or take pic of it or send to my notes for data keeps, that'll b super awesome. thanks-.Version: 3.6

New & happy user!Recently I left using an app that I had been using for many years (has the same name as my favorite board game) because they took away almost all the analysis, predictions, and easy-to-read views and put it behind a paywall. I’ve been a Bellabeat Leaf user for many years, too, so when I saw Bellabeat had a period tracking app I decided to give it a try. I’ve used it for a week, but I’m already a happy user. The analysis and predictions are easily accessible and FREE! Plus the user-interface is really nice. Before this I would recommend your fitness tracker/app to everyone. Now I’ll recommend Period Diary, too! Thank you, Bellabeat!.Version: 5.3.7

I like itI love this application for tracking my period it has a lot of nice features. But the updated version is kind of ugly to me. The old one had a pretty flower that made me feel empowered to be a woman ( for the tabs) and also I really think they need to add on the feature when you get pregnant. Im very surprised they don’t have that already in there. Other than that I really enjoy this app. It has helped me keep track of my period cycle, and ovulation days which is so important! Unfortunately, when the app updated itself it deleted allllll my past loggings so that was slightly devastating. But for it being free it has helped a lot..Version: 4.3.5

Great app, wish it was apple watch compatible!Great app and fairly easy to use (I have run into a bit of difficulty adjusting period length/start date, but that could just be me). I love that you can get pretty detailed with everything and that there’s a daily note section where you can add whatever you want, I just wish I could have a version of it on my watch too! Sometimes I don’t have my phone on me, so it would be great if I could record data from my watch and it sync with the app on my phone. Doesn’t have to be as detailed as the phone app, but even just something basic would be great!.Version: 5.1.4

Please expand appThis is truly a great app. It can be a little confusing at first but this is about periods - we’re all confused - yes??? Anyway - I would love for the developers to expand this app into the perimenopause/menopause area. I’ve been searching and searching and there’s not an app that bridges from menstruation and ovulation into the premenopausal time of a woman’s life. IMO - it’s a greatly needed area as women’s bodies are changing A LOT and an app like this would be greatly helpful for the user and the healthcare professionals trying to get us through this strange time in life. Please consider this - you have a HUGE population of women either in peri menopause or are approaching that time. Tracking periods and moods while in these older years can be extremely helpful while working with healthcare staff to get through it. Thx!!.Version: 3.6

Best period trackerI’ve been using this app for over a year, and haven’t had any problems with it. I’d love for there to a notification option, or better yet, an email option. So that you could receive a private email reminder (or app notification) when you’re 5-7 days away from starting. In some weeks, I’ve used the notes sections, but I find that I rarely remember to use it. At the risk of being annoying, it might be helpful to have a “What are your symptoms and emotions today?” notification in the evenings during your period, and maybe a day or two before and after? I’m definitely satisfied with the app as it stands though! (obviously, I’ve used it every month for a year and a half!).Version: 3.6

3 babies in 4 years and done!Using this tracker I successfully planned 3 pregnancies in 4 years. I liked that it gave a range of ovulation days, so we knew which week we should be "trying" on. Each time it was accurate because only once did it take us more than 2 months of trying. And one time it only took the one try. Perhaps we are just really fertile, but it was good to know when I would be fertile so we could also plan not to get pregnant in between babies. Now I'm done with baby making and I use it to track my period just so I know when it's coming and I like that I can add notes about my emotions and how heavy the flow is on each day..Version: 3.6

Added “start period” buttonLol, I came here to specifically complain about not being able to press “start period.” Every time I started I would have an issue locating it, after the remake, but this time I pressed it and checked back a couple of days later and it still was counting down my period! That was a very convenient button on the last version before the app revamp. I’ve been using PD for 10 years now and it’s always been user friendly. I understand with a revamp changes will still be made and suggestions will be weighed heavily. I’m glad y’all listened and added that button that was so useful, simple and quick on the older version..Version: 4.3.3

Unexpectedly the bestOkay listen, I NEVER write reviews because I can never be bothered to; yet I rely on reviews for everything I buy lol. ANYWAY. I literally downloaded this around 5 years ago because it was the first app I saw and it was free, so I was like “cool whatever yeah.” As time has gone on, the app has really adjusted to my cycle and since I’ve had it as a teenager and I’ve had my cycle figure itself out, now as I get my period and I go to log it in the app, the countdown is almost always at “0 days left!” Aka my period is going to start. It’s INSANE. I don’t use the app to track for fertility or anything, it’s literally just so I know when it’s coming up. I love this app..Version: 3.6

Best ads, no in app purchase, no hidden feeHonest app that works are so hard to find these days, and this is one of them. I have been replying on this app since 2012, and it has always been accurate predicting my time of the month. No surprises blood spots! There are no pop ups, no in app purchase for some simple features, and no ads hopping out left and right like all the other period trackers out there. I especially dislike other apps with fake reviews, bumping their app to a 5 Star. This app however, star rating is not enough to even describe how much it has served me. It’s more reliable than my husband and I’d so marry it!.Version: 3.6

Like the app but it needs key itemsAs a female ovulation and period tracker it seems like it’s missing one big “term” for flow under symptoms. Spotting is such a big thing in female Menstruation and it would be very beneficial to be able to log how many days prior to starting period or between periods a person spots. Being able to have it available with period info would make it a lot simpler when discussing with doctor. Another item I feel really should be added to this app is the ability to add the date of your last Pap smear and when the next one is due. Having all that information available in one app would be very beneficial to so many women..Version: 4.3.6

Accurate for a few months, then becomes unpredictableI’ve had this app off and on for several years. I say “off and on” because the calendar is accurate for 6 months or so, then derails itself so I have to delete the app, re-download, and have another accurate reading for 6 more months until it screws up again. I understand that it “learns” your cycle after so many periods, and will change its predictions accordingly. Well, I have a very regular cycle (5 days menstruating during a 28 day cycle, sorry if tmi) and after so many months it will change my predictions to last 8 days or longer! One time it had me down for a 14 day period! It’s too unpredictable, so I am finally deleting it for good. I’ve saved all of my dates and am trying a new app..Version: 3.6

7 year userI have used this app for 7 years and have recommended it on many occasions because I loved it so much. To be honest, I’m not at all happy with the recent design update. I feel the calendar is too busy and unorganized to the eye and isn’t as easy to read at a glance. The old calendar had clear boxes like a regular calendar which was a quick reference. If there is a way to change it, I have been unable to find it. Honestly, I dislike the design layout so much, I may be looking for a new app which I hate because this app holds years of important information for me. Like most women, I have a busy schedule and I need something I can quick reference at a glance. Sorry, but the simplicity of this app was the reason I loved it. 😔.Version: 3.8

Most useful app I’ve ever usedI’ve been using this app since 2012. It takes only a few months for it to establish your pattern and it makes pretty accurate predictions. I knew exactly when I was ovulating and it helped make getting pregnant easier. I have recommended it to friends, who were also trying to get pregnant, and they too had successes using this apps predictions. I have been on and off birth control for the last 5 years and this app is the only thing that helps me know when I can expect my period. I also like how I can download my data so that I can keep it for future reference..Version: 3.6

Pretty goodI love using this app because I know when to start preparing for my period. There are a couple minor things though. First of all when I got this app I was so confused on how to use it. When I was on my period it said like "19 days left" or something and I thought "My period will end in 19 days?" I have figured this out though. So it would be nice if you could do a small tutorial video. Second of all, I applied a password but a couple months later I tried logging in and it said my password was incorrect and I know I did it right. I had to delete the app and download it again. Not sure if this is normal or not. But still I like it and would recommend it to friends. 👍.Version: 3.6

Pop ups galore; it does it's jobI have never been able to properly keep track for whatever reason. This app has been great in keeping me on top of it. No more guessing! I love how it estimates the days for me and averages everything out. Easy to use, minus a star for all of the ridiculously annoying pop ups that fill the screen and/or suddenly appear when you go to click on something. Edit: I've apparently been using this app since 2011 and I still love it! They got rid of the pop-ups and I love how you can sync it with your calendar...(is that weird?) Anyhow, highly recommend it. Updated to 5 stars!.Version: 3.6

Longtime userI love this period tracker app. I’ve used 2 different ones over the course of my life and this one helps me the most. One feature I would love to be added in an update: birth control methods, including surgical sterilization. I wish these period tracker apps would allow me to add in birth control. I love that it tracks my fertility, when I’m ovulating, and when I could be fertile. However I recently became surgically sterile. But I still get my periods. I would like to continue to use this app for tracking when I get my periods, but I wish I could turn off the fertility feature..Version: 4.3.6

Wonderful AppI got this app because I would constantly stress about when my period would start and then it would start at the most unexpected time. As you could guess this was quite frustrating. I tried a few different apps and they all wanted you to pay to have full access to the app. After I came across this, I was shocked at how well of an app it is. I found a simple layout with many different features, such as what symptoms I was experiencing and what’s moods i felt throughout the day. Overall I love this app and it makes my life a whole lot easier. I highly recommend it to all girls!.Version: 3.6

The old previous design was way betterThank you, Period Diary, for upgrading the app into something fancy and more feminine. I appreciate your efforts to make the app users happy and want us to enjoy the app. I just updated the P.D app and get to see what's new. Now that I have seen the updated features, I find the old (which was the previous one) design more accessible, convenient, and easy to use. One thing I noticed that didn't help was the one tone color in the 'Calendar' field, the old design has an easy-to-read feature than the new one. I'm sorry I had to say these, but I hope all your efforts won't be put to nothing, some areas may still be changed for a more convenient app. Again, thank you and Merry Christmas!⛄️.Version: 4.0.4

Idea for improvementOne of the best period apps I’ve come across. The design is simple and easy to use and doesn’t overcomplicate or overwhelm like other period apps do. I also appreciate the motto that this app should be free for women! The one thing that made me turn away from the app is because it doesn’t have a basal body temperature chart. The current app I use has a terrible user interface but I stick with it simply because the temperature charts make for a more accurate prediction and better understanding of my body. I will retry this app if they ever come out with a chart as that is the main thing I’m looking for..Version: 5.1.2

Update gone wrong?I’ve had this app for more than a year now. I really loved it. I could track a lot of things on it as well as put in notes. Even if I forgot to start the tracker, I could always back track. This new update doesn’t allow me to back track, or start with continuous tracking, if I try to start it a day or two later. It is only start and stop. And if I’m in the middle of my week and I start the tracking late, i can’t adjust it until after my time is over. Therefore it’s not tracking me anymore. I love the new look, but disappointed in the downgrade of certain features. Will see if I continue to use it since I did love it in the past...Version: 5.0.7

Great trackerHave had this app for years now. Love being able to keep track of everything to do with my femininity! Easy to use and highly reliable! Thank you.Version: 3.6

BugI really like this calendar keeping track of stuff but for the past week it’s glitching. I will mark something for a Wednesday and it’s putting it for Thursday and Saturday. Please fix.Version: 4.3.1

Using it for many years and loveGreat App! I’ve never had any issues and have been using it for probably more than ten years! Super user friendly..Version: 5.2.13

Great trackerLove convenience.Version: 5.2.14

Great!Helps me a lot. :).Version: 5.2.10

Good easy appFriendly to track period.Version: 5.2.7

BEST PERIOD APPLove this app!!.Version: 5.2.7

Great app!I’ve been using this app for more than 7 years now. I am happy to have it as it keeps all the info that i need about my secret days ;).Version: 5.2.5

Update issueFor anyone having issues after update you'll have to delete app and re instal in order for it to work. You'll lose your data and history but it's the only way I could get it to work. Hope this helps.Version: 5.2.7

Super applicationElle est très fiable apres seulement quelques cycles..Version: 5.2.2

Not workingSo sad app not working after the update. Hopefully it gets fixed. I’ve used this tracker for years don’t fail me now!.Version: 5.2.5

Love it ! This app has really changed my period life !I would highly recommend it. Have been using it since many years !.Version: 5.2.5

GreatSuper helpful app. Easy to use and they have thought of all the little details.Version: 5.1.8

Easy to useOne less think to keep track of thanks to P.D..Version: 5.1.7

PdEasy to use.Version: 5.1.8

I absolutely loveVery accurate. Help me to predict my next period so I can plan events..Version: 5.1.7

The App Was Great Until the UpdateThis app was great, it worked perfectly fine and it was easy to use. But, as of the new update, the interface is just too hard to understand. It looks completely different from what it looked like just about a month ago. I’m very sorry, but since I can no longer understand the app, I will not be using it anymore..Version: 5.0.7

Update makes it not user friendlyThe new update made it difficult to change your period start and end date. I’ve been using this app for 10 years and I don’t know why you have to complicate things.Version: 5.0.8

Better than beforeIve had this app for around 10 years now. At first i really loved it, everything worked really well and there was tons of options for symptoms and tracking. Then a few years ago they completely revamped the app and i HATED it. It would crash every time i tried using it and wasn't as great as before. I stuck with it because i had invested so much time at that point. A few weeks ago (i think) they updated/revamped the app again. This time i actually don't mind what they've done. Everything seems to be working (finally) and there’s a lot of newer features on the app (or maybe they were always there and I couldn't find them before). I’m giving 3 stars mostly to be hopeful that this app has returned to actually being good..Version: 5.0.2
