It just looks so fun and finishes so quickly and she said it’s because it’s so easy we got the app six months ago and now she’s been working with grade’s that’s over her grade 😲.
My son finished all math facts (+-/x through 12) in the middle of 2nd grade. This was well ahead of his classmates who were all still learning addition. I really wanted to find a way to keep him interested in math that would also help him learn new concepts when he was ready for them. I discovered SplashMath ad he started working on it over the summer. He has loved every minute of it! He "plays" it on his own without me having to ask (and without a fight from him). He started with 3rd grade math, which he finished in July. He moved on to 4th grade...and he just completed that yesterday - and it's just the first week of 3rd grade for him! He has learned complicated fractions, beginning algebra, geometry, decimals, long division and so much more. I shared his progress with his new teacher and told her that I highly recommend this app. While my son thinks it's a "game" that he loves to play, I love that he can learn at his own pace. I just wish it would go beyond 5th grade because I don't know what I'll do with him when he finishes the 5th grade section! I also want to mention the parents' app and weekly progress reports - I love this because I get to see what he's doing and I can share his progress with others (grandparents, teacher). This app is wonderful and I'm so happy I found it!
Really appreciate the thoughtfulness put into design of this app, with ability to have multiple children profiles, and view diagnostics about their progress and challenge areas. Our kids would love to see some variation in the screen, background, or cartoon characters as they progress through levels or answer correctly on consecutive problems. They were getting a little bored with the same character and background settings on each level. They asked if there would be other animals, or if they could change scenery or if a newer/cooler scene would pop up with each completed level. Awesome otherwise in all areas!
The first time I played it was in the early days when I played it on a laptop with my wife in the middle and it was a blast to play with my wife and I played with her all the way to school in a school game that we were all in and she loved the idea and we played with her in it as it is a fun game to play it with kids who are older but have more fun playing wthan wwe than with other games we played together with other games with them in our childhood it has become very different experiences with them as a family they both play games with different people they play with different games with their kids they are all.
I have 3 kids, grades 1,3, and 5. I downloaded all the grades so they could slowly move up trough the different programs. I set up an account through the 3rd grade app and it asked if there were any other kids, so I signed up my other 2, thinking that I could go to that grade app and sign in and have my 5th grader under the 5th grade app and 1st grader under their grade. Nope. I have all 3 kids under the 3rd grade ocean theme. It's cute but if I would have known they would all be in one app, I would have chosen the Space version. We can access all grade levels through the app I signed up under but that's it. So now we are stuck with the ocean theme.

Hi! I’m Kate, And I have had a fun learning experience. I learned division, fractions and multiplication. It’s also summer so I know when I go back into school i will be ready for third grade! I hope you can add like 4 free activities because two a day will never prepare me. I also have no money for the pass. Please consider my idea or at least respond. I love the app also! Have a great day/night : )
My 3rd grader was instructed by her teacher to find her own math homework. I thought, I'm sure there's an app out there that could help. And so far, so good! I like that she'll be able to progress within the app to more challenging math problems. I'll be anxious to see how this reflects on her tests at school....especially because math is a subject she struggles with.
This game is really good for my child she loves it she needed help in math and she has learned so much she's talking a lot to me about multiplication and division and fractions she works on it with her little sister and they switch from third grade to kindergarten it's really good the two kids love it and I just want to say that it's awesome and you should really get it
I’m a 29 year old mom and my child is really smart! She is only 5 and has more than grade 2 math!! I didn’t know which math app was perfect for her till I found this!! At 1st she thought it was interesting but now it’s her favourite game!! So thank you splash math for helping me and my daughter
We don’t use a lot of app but this one really engages my kids. It covers every math domain for each grade level K-5 and in a way that challenges them. I work along side them to help introduce new concepts/vocabulary. I prefer that though so it’s not just virtual. The kid’s only complaint is they want more levels. :)
After my iPad broke 3 years ago I decided to ask my brother to get me one. And then I saw splash math and told my brother to get me this. Since I'm in fourth grade i started to play it was really fun! And by the way thanks for adding that pencil just in case some levels are tricky because I really needed it.
I am in second grade and I know all math facts almost all and I know some division facts and I’m kind a bit great but not really good and at school we do a thing called XtraMath and I passed addition and subtraction and right now I’m on Multiplication and I’m on 92 that’s my score and I really good, but first I did not know some and I’m going to pass soon.
I’m sorry for making you guys feel bad. I really really like your guys app, but I just wish one thing I wish all this stuff. Plus all of the games are really fun.
Ever since I’ve been playing this it was pretty fun. I’m pretty happy my mom brought this for me. I’ve been playing this math game since 1st grade in 2019. I’m going to 3rd grade now and this game is great to learn math on. But what I would like on this game is reading, writing, history and science. Sincerely, Tatiana
Great app, keeps kids engaged. Expensive when purchasing for a full year but I have 3 elementary age kids and it covers them all. Currently having an issues with it closing out during use, hoping it's fixed in the next update.
As a teacher, I am skeptical of apps. This app is designed very intentionally for comprehension, not just rote learning. There are only minor changes I would make. Overall, worth the price!!!
A wonderful, developing program with a bright, intuitive interface will become an indispensable friend and teacher for children. It is known that the best training is training in the form of a game. This is exactly what this program offers.
I love this app so much because it’s free and make math more fun for me because I’m learning now way fast for math. I was never the best at it but now I’m getting better even when I only had it for 1 day! I JUST LOVE THIS FUN LEARNING APP FOR KIDS I RECOMMEND IT
So yeah there’s that the pay have to buy the new one but it’s a great game so I would say it’s good but you have to pay so that’s why it doesn’t get bad and there’s hidden fees that’s why it doesn’t get no five stars and that doesn’t mean
Four stars because when you reach the second level on a subject it changes the way your child is learning and it confuses them 🤯🤯🤯
This game is so cool my daughter is a big fan and she is just in 1st and she plays this game this game is the best you can learn and it’s fun my daughter is taking about every day so everyone should have this fun game
My son is a very good math student and I have found that this program is a very good supplement to his school work. He can do most of the modules on his own and not have me sit with him. We have been very pleased.
SplashLearn grade 3 is the best app for a little kids to have fun and learn plus Harmony loves it every day and she plays it every day we love this app and we would like you to make more please!!!!
This is a great platform for practicing. However it does not teach new concept and my son introduce a new idea. He says that he wanted a boss mode where you have limited time to answer or you will lose the match.
I like getting to help see what skills she is supposed to be learning based on grade. She likes getting to earn incentives to play games. It's been a good summer tool to stay fresh skills.
I’m on grade level down but that’s just because I have trouble with math but this is a great game and we bought the whole pack but this game is just awesome and I have so many grade levels
So I love this it has games that you can unlock by doing math and I have been doing this every day!!and It has grades up from kindergarten to 5th grade and it has what you need to learn in your grade!!
Thank you so much for the awesome customer support. These guys acted instantly when I had a problem and quickly resolved it. 5 star service!!!
This is going to be such a wonderful addition to our Homeschool program! 15 minutes a day of 3rd grade math skills with fun graphics, encouragement and incentives. Thanks so much!
OMG the best app ever please get your child this if you they need some extra help with there multiplication subtraction it’s the real deal trust me!! and also ahh this is the best app :)
This is a nice game
The practice activities are fun and actually teach. My kids are really enjoying the 2nd and 3rd grade activities. I'm using it to help build on and practice what they know.
Amazing app keeps my 7 year engaged while prepping her for third grade. You can customize it to the desired level and set reminders and timers for each lesson.
My son is on second grade, but has tested above his grade. I got this so he could do 3rd grade math. He’s almost done with 2nd grade in about a month! He’s been in 3rd grade multiplication and division as well.
Hi this game is helping my child do well on her tests and she’s improving on her math skills and she thinks it’s very fun and loves to go online and play this game so I suggest you try it with your kid!😃
I’m learning lots from this and it’s not that boring the only thing is there’s a very annoying hippo
Bo-ring
It’s the best
Splash math is so fun and helpful
My kids love it. I love how all grades from K to 5 are integrated in one app if you pay for the yearly subscription.
My kids learning well in this app.
Awesome
It is a great game toodles
We have 3 and 8 years old and both are very much interested in every practice. We love it. So colorful and interactive. Thank u
My son loves using this app and it helps him to boost his confidence in his learning path. The app is very engaging in multiple topics and offers great ways to learning each topic through repetition of each section yet offering different approach through each step to keep kids engaged. This app is highly recommended for anyone interested to do extra work at home with lots of creativity and fun.
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
Great app. Our kids use it all the time.
So far this is awesome for my child. She is great at math and knows her times tables very well. THANK YOU SO MUCH who ever made this game! ITS AWESOME FOR MY DAUGHTER!
One of the best educational app I have seen in App Store so far.
As a teacher, I love using this app to re-enforce key elements of the curriculum. The kids love it and want to play all the time.
I bought the family version for my 2 kids. They enjoy doing the math problems and it's a fun way for them to practice their math skills. Parents get reports to see how the kids are doing too.
I downloaded this app for $11.99. So far it is the most I ever paid for a app. Initially it was not optimized for the iPad pro. Since the update the app is even better to use. My daughter is gaining confidence and skills with this program. I recommend this to all.
Great way to develop math skills.
I love this app
I think this game is awesome⚡️
This app is excellent and affective. I am a teacher and will use this in my class. My daughter is able to make sense of math much easier now. Great job applying scaffolding to this program.
My daughter loves to play this and earn points to get more fish for her tank.
Splash Mini: Multiplication Negative Reviews and Ratings
This may be a great app BUT, I’ll never know because you have to start with the free one month trial before anything. We all know how that goes. If you fail to cancel then BAM! $10 bucks a month until you cancel. I suspected that would happen but I thought I’d take a chance because the “in-app purchases” menu in the App Store showed an option for “3rd grade lifetime for $9.99”. Not that I was gonna do that but I wanted to actually see if it was in fact an option. Maybe it is, but like I said, you gotta do the free trial to get anywhere in this app. I stopped buying apps a long time ago when things moved to subscriptions. This was a stab just to see if anybody was still allowing one time purchases. As suspected it was a classic bait and switch. I guess they’re happy though because they at least got my email and age now so they can sell my info and continue to bombard me with spam long after I’ve deleted the app as soon as I’m done writing this review.
I understand free trials are limited ( but I was charged for a monthly subscription before my free trial was even up). This was done by their design, because I canceled on Sept 4th and was shocked to find I was charged on Sept 5th for a full month subscription. There is no customer service link so Even when I went again to confirm the subscription was canceled it stated I still would be subscribed till October 5th. Otherwise the app itself is pleasant and my granddaughter liked all the different programs. But continuing should be by my choic. Not them charging after the fact when the trial subscription was previously cancelled.
I love the game and it makes it easy to learn and I could play it all day, but it keeps having advertisements for a membership and it lets you play the games without the membership but every time I click on a game it shows up with an add for the membership and it’s so annoying , I click the ❌ and it gets out of the add then I click back on the game but it shows up with it again. I did that a few times but it did the same thing over and over again so eventually I got rid of the game. And I have been trying to find a new game for math but I couldn’t find one. I would advise on not getting this game.
Heads up, this is a “free trial that goes into auto payment” after a week. You have to make an effort to “cancel” within 24 hours of the renewal automatically beginning in order to not be charged. That’s a very recuse and small window with a purpose most parents will forget and they make their money no matter of you intended on keeping the ap or not. I want to help my kid learn and practice their math, not add yet another thing into my calendar to watch and “catch” in time to not incur fees. Ain’t no one got time for that. Deleted before even beginning the “free trial” and wanted to give other parents a heads up. If you want something free, really free, this is not for you. Keep searching.
This is a review of the service, not the app itself. Splash Math’s “free trial” and “cancel anytime” is untrue. If you don’t cancel 24-hours *prior* to the end of the trial period, they will charge you $60 for a year’s subscription. And “cancel anytime” actually means you can cancel your RENEWAL, but not the year’s subscription you just paid for. If you email them, they tell you that they cannot authorize a refund through Apple/iTunes and to contact Apple directly. Apple won’t refund either. It’s just splash maths way of passing the buck. Disappointed in the customer service, and in myself for not reading all of the teeny tiny fine print. No more Splash Math products for me.
It’s good but if you do yearly you have to pay 90 dollars if you do monthly you have to pay 12 dollars so I’m 8 and I love how it’s good for kids but if you don’t pay it says says please ask a parent it won’t let me play any games once I hit that limit of time please fix that so I thought it was the best game ever! But it’s really not sorry so I haven’t experienced any adds yet it’s a scam bc I paid on accident and it still did that that’s why I deleted
The fact that I paid $60 for this app and it keeps glitching is very frustrating. when I’m trying to work on it with my kiddos, It’ll close unexpectedly on us and sometimes it won’t read out the questions. Other than that it’s a great app. My kids love it and it’s really helping them. Just wish we’d be able to work on it more often without it closing on us.
Nothing peeves me more than paying for a game that then changes tack and begins charging subscription based services. It’s a bait and switch and that's what this app has done. We paid a flat fee for the app and the; the app revamped and won't load because they’ve switched to subscription. People in this situation should be given their money back for a product that doesn’t work.
We had originally bought this app during the school year ( the bundle package). We cancelled it after a bit. I recently renewed it and paid 9.99 for this month. However, it is telling me to log into 2nd grade ( which I’ve done) and then it keeps trying to charge me again. Only lets us do the trial. I contacted customer support but have not heard anything back for over a week. Very disappointed, and Apple won’t let me cancel payment.
This is great but kinda annoying because of the money thingy u should make something like V.I.P where u can do anything u want on the app and unlimited subjects while normal 1 subject pair day not u have to pay in order to even use the website for a month and a free trail should be a month and u should ask and notify the person other then that it’s great From a child
Well i do like how it teaches and my child and I downloaded it, then after 15 minuets my child comes up to me and says “hey mom they want us to have a free trial”. Well I said exit out. Then he tried to click on multiplication skill and said “it won’t work”. I grabbed my phone and said “ I think u have to be a VIP” to DO MATH. I THINK THAT TO TEACH A CHILD TO LEARN, EVEN THAT COST MONEY!!! I’m very upset with this app. Sincerely, A teaching parent 😔😌
Signed up for app only to find cost is $9 per month after 7 day trial. Did not even use free trial bc simply too expensive. Tried to back out of app but not sure if they are going to charge my card so had to email technical support. There is no option to cancel or undo info. Just received email that I’ll hear back in 48 hours. Which is now just another thing I have to keep track of and follow up on. App may be spectacular but this is a little ridiculous...seems deceptive. I Strongly Suggest developer is more transparent up front to prevent angry reviews from parents like myself who have not even tried app. Where is option to cancel? 😡🙄
I have one year subscription and this app is build with basic questions for beginners not advanced level. Some questions are not worded correctly. And the app doesn’t clearly explain how he derived at a particular answer.
Total waste of time. My son completed a couple of math problems, then kicked to a screen telling him to purchase a membership. We tried every other section of the app, only to be told the same. As a busy mom of 3, there is a high probability that I will not recognize the end of the “free trial” and be stuck paying a ridiculous amount of money for a kids game.
First it collects your personal, information - kids grade, etc, your email - sends you a pin to verify email and then once you enter it - the app says start your free trial. I decided not to click on that as I do not want to go to the hassle of having to remember to cancel if my daughter doesn’t like it. Just say subscription required at the beginning and be done with it.
Very interesting app it covers quite a bit from the math curriculum. However, it’s a bit misleading because it says free in the App Store but when you download it you’re only allowed 10 questions per day. If you want more questions you have pay for it...#robbery
It’s so boring do something for Much happier like you’re making ice cream and you have to learn how many people are there and then you had to ask him what does everybody want for ice cream and then you’ll make it and then they all want that and then it will cost what you learned it and it’s not supposed to be born I’m giving you guys one star
Takes a bit to download but overall good
Gets you to sign up, accepts payment, then asks you to protect your purchase with your account email and always says not ready for you. Even entering a new email address, KEEP AWAY AND CANCEL IMMEDIATELY
I deleted this after 5 minutes because it only allows me to do ten questions a day!!! I did them in under 2 minutes. Then I was kinda bored, so I explored a bit more to see what else I could do. That’s when I found out I had to pay 70$ do do more stuff! That’s very expensive! But that’s okay, because I can cope with only ten questions a day. But the worst part is that whenever I answer a question, right or wrong, it kicks me off! I do not recommend, and developers, please make this app free, or give an update!
It’s ok until you want to cancel. I think I paid for an extra 15 months as cancelling the subscription involved a lengthy process that was difficult to understand and had more than one false road. I would never get this as a subscription again, never. As to who’s at fault (Apple or the app and I’m not sure who’s to blame)makes no difference to me. Waste of money and and even greater waste of time trying to cancel. Also, it lead to arguments with my spouse as to how to cancel and who ordered it etc. I have enough stress without having to deal with the garbage processing of cancelling this. Don’t subscribe. Don’t subscribe. Don’t subscribe. Don’t subscribe. Don’t subscribe don’t subscribe don’t subscribe don’t subscribe DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE DON’T SUBSCRIBE
Very misleading. Poses as a free app, however, only allows your child to do 10 questions per activity/ day....meaning my 8 year old in total spent 1 minute 16 sec of answering 10 questions, and being kicked off the app. How is a parent suppose to commit to a $70/ year price is there no opportunity to see if this app catches my childs attention and challenges her? Very disappointing.
Says a Free but won’t let you do anything till you subscribe. Very misleading!!
Every time I try to do a math test I have to pay and I don’t want to spend money for it.Covid-19 is out and I don’t want to spend money on a game. I want to save my money for important things like medicine!
This app is very invasive, predatory and requires a subscription. Not recommended.
Alright. Listen up, I’m eight and this is uselessssss. It keeps saying I have to do the free trial. And when I put my email in it sends nothing. I extremely don’t recommend this app. I struggle in school and nobody cares to help a kid out for FREE
Expensive (over $70 a year!)
The program works well, but the subscription process is set up to make it difficult to remove, so you can end up billed regularly for something you don’t use
You can only do a math question and when you finish one stage, for an example algebra, you can’t do another stage. It comes up FREE trial after you tap on another math stage, AND WHAT THE HECK!? After you have to pay like, 75 a year!? Not cool.
It says free but you actually have to pay for it.
I only can do fifteen questions I want to do 50
Paid for two of my children to use it and somehow their names were removed.
No different than other math programs except it is hard to delete while it holds you ransom for money! Avoid this!!
This game isn’t working but it’s awsome but it’s just not working
Should cost at least 75% less!
Why advertise this product as free with in-app purchases if you can't even play to try out without first signing up with an account with "negative billing". False advertising in my opinion. Edit: The developer actually contacted me to explain the trial and billing process. That's a significant sign of potential good customer service for those who use this product. Just to add - my review is based on the advertising of this product as free when it's not; my review is not based on the quality of the product itself since I haven't and will not be trying it.
THIS STUPID COW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please stop the cow it’s so annoying
It just keeps going directly to the subscription page.
They say it's free with in-app purchases, but in order to get a free trial, you have to sign up for a subscription, which will start automatically once your trial ends. Of course this means I have to have enough $$ in my iTunes acct to cover this supposed subscription, even if I plan on cancelling it before the trial is up. Can't even try it out.... this sucks. I am not saying it is t a good app, just don't like the set up of the free trial.
My daughter is struggling with grade 3 math but she could only do a few questions before we were forced to commit to buying at a monthly rate. We didn't even evaluate it yet.
It's a 3 because I wish it was free if it was free and u didn't have to pay monthly and yearly and weekly I would always use it I would use it EVRYDAY.
I could get way better for free
Don't waste your time with this app. You get to do one preview then you have to purchase everything else....
