Splash Math: K-5 Learning App Customer Service

Was desperately looking for some sort of game or some thing to help my 2nd grader daughter with Math. Needed to figure out a way to have her practice bath without screaming and freaking out. I saw that the trial was very short and that this program seemed expensive, but because I was so desperate I had to at least take the chance. And OMG this is so perfect for her! She is in second grade and literally the games follow her curriculum chapters perfectly. We just started doing The time and money games which especially with time she would just get so confused it would drive me crazy. She literally had to do it over and over again on the game for like an hour before she finally got it! But she finally understood and I said the next game is actually corresponding to her next chapter in math which is counting within 1000. Wish I had gotten this for her sooner. I am so excited honestly this is well worth the $59. It would cost me at least that to hire a tutor for one hour. This was surprisingly worth it!

Splash Math is a great app to get kids learn and get ready for school tests assessments more get ready for school. Downloaded this for my 6 year old daughter to help her with math. It challenges enough and she is enjoying it. I was going to just do the free trial but after just one day I’ve decided to purchase it monthly. Absolutely 💖 this app. So far in this past weeks some of the practice has actually helped her with math skills. It’s easier than trying to use workbooks. Some kids have different learning techniques and this app has touched on many different technique uses. I really appreciate Splash Math. I hope it will help you people too!!! 😊😀😀

I like the pace of this app. My daughter is struggling with basic math facts; not having a timer is extremely encouraging for her. We are just starting our trial; however, I have a good feeling about this app. The little guy saying " You Rock" every time she answers a question is a bit annoying, but that's coming from old mom. $76 for a year seems a expensive, but if she's able to get a better grasp of math concepts from using this app, I would gladly pay double that amount.

My children are in public school and both have learning disabilities. This app is perfectly designed as a quick and fun review or extra practice during the week. The lessons are engaging enough to keep their attention and make it fun and short enough to not feel like work. I love that there are online classes they can attend with a real teachers for that extra learning support. The only criticism I have is that there isn’t a help button for the lessons and learning games that I have found and my children have a hard time hearing the spelling words correctly. I would definitely say it is worth the money.

After trying several apps we were introduced to IXL through my child's school. Everyone is happy! Mom's happy because her daughter is getting the reinforcement she needs to improve on her math skills and work towards mastery. Child is happy because she doesn't feel the rush that other sites create with a timer and is having fun even though she is doing schoolwork. Thank you IXL for creating a site that truly is helping my child succeed in math.

Love this app! Helping my child out with her school! One thing that I would like to add is to have an explanation as to why the answer chosen is wrong. I agree that the parents should explain it themselves but sometimes I get busy at home and she would end up just pushing past questions and getting them wrong because there was no explanation. Great app though! Thank u!

My kids ( 3 and 5) both were using this daily. One at the K setting, the other at grade 1. They both enjoyed it and continued on well until the little one got to a point in the Kindergarten platform that required her to be able to read text answers, since she can’t read she can no longer work independently on the program, and consequently she spends less time in the app. Otherwise, it is a nice app that a range of ages and abilities can use

My 8 year old daughter has academic issues and struggles on a daily basis with her class work and homework. She loves the games and having the multiple choices helps build her confidence with each question. She doesn’t ask to play many educational games but she has loved her first week and keeps asking to play.

I’m only 7 years old. But I wonder why I can’t try all of them we are usually out of school right now... and I’m in 2nd grade!! So when I first downloaded this game.... I wrote my name and I can try all of these cool stuff! But when I almost finished all of them... it said start a free trial I asked my mom and she said no so I couldn’t do all of them. So what should I do? Please read my note and tell me what should I do

So I just got this for my daughter like three months ago and her grade have gotten better. I really recommend this app if you’re looking for a app to help you. I a telling you that this is the best app for this kind of stuff that I have ever used

My kids got into Advanced Academic Program because of this App. My daughter has been using this App for two years now, 35 min a day and my Son is right behind. She tested 9A in CogTest among highest 3% in the nation. Best money spent on this membership.

My daughter has tried other apps but the time clock factor is a feature that has really discouraged her from using. This app gamifies it more and she loves to practice math, asking more than the minimum required time!

I have a kid that struggles with math. I tried a handful of different apps. This one is worth it and you can check their progress in the parents app. This is perfect and worth the money for sure. And the little fish are super cute so my daughter likes to do it.

This app makes learning more fun then ever this has so many activities but one thing I’m concerned about is paying money but it deserves more then five good thing to tell u

I downloaded this app on a whim of searching. My second grader has loved it! Even request to play her math game. The token reward is a great visual system and she is learning new techniques. We have really enjoyed the app.

It’s worth it! It’s like pulling teeth to get her to use it but it is the one thing we’ve been consistent with over the years. And it has helped her tremendously.

I purchased for my grandson who needed to focus more with math. Love the daily reminders and it also gets him excited as he likes to see the weekly percentage increase as well as the in app encouragement!

App does not give any explanation of how to do new problems. You will have to explain and teach how to tell time and how to add double digit numbers if your child does not already know how. Not sure it’s worth the $10 a month because of this.

My son didn’t want to do this app, thinking it was more homework he had to do. Now he asks for me phone after finishing his homework to do his Splash math. Great app!

I love this I’m about to go to 2nd grade I’m learning to much I’ll know what and how to solve hard stuff in 2nd grade I recommend this to everyone going to 2nd grade

This game teaches a lot of math but if you do not have a membership you can only answer 10 questions. And it only goes up to 5th grade.

Good math games for kids ages 6-8 and the subscription was good and math facts you can play 40+ games. Good deal, I feel good about it and it’s been good you can add 3 players

Can’t try all of them I’m just 7 years old and I’m in second grade

My daughter absolutely loves it!!! After I downloaded it she was on for an hour! I had to tell her to put it down for dinner lol

My daughter can do a couple minutes of math every day at home and earn coins to fill her fish tank. I love that it emails you a progress report. The only thing I would change is on the quick addition I would like the questions to switch direction from on top of each other to side by side.

I purchased this for homeschooling. It is excellent! The children love it and their skills are improving.

Very good app. An improvement I could suggest would be to better indicate the correct answer when an error is made, and maybe some instruction on new topics when they arise

It's easy to convince my kids practice math with this app, ended up purchasing the gr1-5 app too.

We've purchased splash math for two summers in a row now for our daughter to review her math skills before the coming year. She finds it fun, and likes the games. We like that if she has missed some concepts during the year she is caught up and ready for the next grade. The price is a bit high for an app, but when you consider the price of one tutoring session, it doesn't seem so high!

My kids love this app! We loved it for extra practice and review. My kids forget they doing “school work” and just think that they are playing a game. Splash math is a great way to make learning fun!

My little sister doing this app and she's really good and like's it a lot. I find much better then many other math apps for a number of reason's. Also I love the open variety of math, difficulty settings and E-mail reports.

I purchased the premium subscription for this app specifically to access the 16+ live classes for my child. The payment was successfully processed, and the money was taken from my account. However, I never received access to the premium features I paid for. When I contacted customer support, they insisted that I only had the regular subscription-even though I clearly paid for premium. To make matters worse, they told me to provide proof of purchase (a receipt), even though they should already have that information on file. I paid for a service I didn't receive, and now I'm being asked to jump through hoops to fix their mistake. This feels like a scammy way to avoid responsibility.

Along with this app is supposed to come the ability to make multiple profiles. But this is simply not possible. It gives you an error message and tells you that your email is already in use and you will have to select another email (and pay a new subscription fee!) to add a profile for another child. So I went ahead and contacted support. They were not helpful at all. They told me that multiple profiles aren’t supported unless I buy from Apple ITunes store. So I sent them a screenshot back showing that I had bought from Apple and requesting help setting up another profile. That was on April 17. It’s now April 28 and I haven’t heard a word from them in response.

We love this app in concept. However, the inability to sync between devices (while In prior years syncing happened automatically) is a fatal flaw. In addition, the bugs in the app make it impossible to send data to the developer to fix without getting kicked out of the app. I have raised these issues multiple times and am always told the app will be updated to fix these issues and it still hasn’t. The developer has now gone radio silent after I paid for the full version. I don’t want my money back - I just want it to work as advertised.

Well, I like OK it’s just that your kids don’t really get that much activities cause they just keep you only two activities every day. It’s really unfair and you really want to have like some more games for them to play like five but I think I’m giving one star. Thanks a lot. It’s just a little too upsetting. I really don’t like how my kid keeps on fussing at me because there’s no more games to play and they only let you play too. There’s a fact that they should add something better like that. Then that cause they should do something about it, but you can just letting kids 😭 lol it’s not cool😡

When my daughter works on the language art portion it freezes, the screen will turn blue and she dose not get her coins and loses her progress. We have tried deleting and re downloading and it was showing the fish in the clouds for 5 minutes.

I was hoping I could work on different things with my kids, we have to do what comes up, no toggling between subtraction or addition, you have to do what automatically pops up from the app. It does have lots of different learning games, but I just wanted to get to the point of adding and subtraction.

This is good learning game but I was on the first level and I left the first level then I tried to get back to it but it said I had to PAY and I’m only 7 years old so I’m not going to pay and my parents will not let me so I’m going to delete it ☹️

This app requires your email address to advance through set up but doesn’t reveal ahead of time that it’s not free. It costs 9.99 a month or 4.99 a month if you subscribe for a year. There’s no reason to give your personal information out unless you’re looking for a subscription plan.

They claim it can be used for free, but that is only true if you sign up for a subscription before you can access the "free" portion. They are obviously hoping you forget to cancel your subscription and pay for the year. If it is a free trial, it should be free. Once I decide I like it for my kids, I could then subscribe.

App has bugs. Reports incorrect number of right and wrong answers. Data sent to developer is never sent to to error with program

I liked it at first, but it just didn’t let me after it locked all of the games I tried to play, but it didn’t work, but it still was a good game for the time I played

Only half the sound works. Stating the problem only, character sound isn’t working when the child gets the answer right or wrong.

I signed up for it because we saw some advertisements for it. They give you a free seven day trial but if you don’t sign up for it they get you with the annual subscription at $69. Not happy about that.

When my child tried to play it said we had to pay for a monthly subscription. We didn’t even get a chance to check it out to see if he would have liked it. No thank you.

Another crappy app that is geared towards making money than teaching math. The free part is pitiful at best. Maybe it would be better to just charge to begin with than waste our time setting up only to be constantly badgered with subscription offers.

I don’t like signing up for an app to find it has hidden costs and only a trial run before you start paying and you still haven’t been told what the cost is going to be. So I deleted before I started the trial. If you were up front I think I might have given it a chance.

The upgrade doesn’t work! Also can’t use unless on-line. Message “Please wait while we fetch all your games on this device” message for hours. I have a few more aps with them, they all work and I’m ignoring the update message.

Why it is a bad game because like you need to pay and blah blah blah but the games that you don’t have to pay download them now

Signed up for trail of kindergarten math, Unable to cancel subscription. Emailed support but they won’t help and asked me to cancel through iTunes. They didn’t refund my money for something I never used. They don’t care of their customers. If they didn’t cancel & refund, could have atleast provided access to kindergarten stuff. Looks like that’s their standard reply for all refund requests. Not a bit helpful. They are happy once the trial finishes and one is charged. Very unhappy customer here.

I’ve messaged the owners of this app multiple times. I paid for this app in February and have not been able to get access. They assure me they’re not frauds or scam artists, but I see no evidence of such claims. I’d actually like a refund with interest and am growing more frustrated by the day them trying to come across like they’re trying to fix the issues but I’m in no way tangibly closet to having my kids be able to use this app.

I'm a teacher and this is just awful. Very flat, uninteresting and not educational.
