HP Positive Reviews
HP is Always There for MeAs the use of AI moves into more and more aspects of our daily lives, it is becoming more and more difficult to reach a live person when calling a large corporation for customer service for just about any product one can imagine. While I am not totally naïve when it comes to the use of my phone and computer, I do experience frequent problems with which I need assistance. Often it’s very, very difficult to reach a live person. This has not been my experience with HP. For over 20 years I have used HP home printers due to the fact that I can always reach a live person with a minimum of time and difficulty who can then solve my problem. In addition, the HP products themselves are very dependable as my problems virtually always originate from my low level of technical skills. My HP home printers have invariably functioned for many years with almost no problems integral to the printers themselves, and I have no reservations whatsoever with recommending HP products to my friends and relatives. The HP printers are economical, generally trouble free for many years, and customer service with a live person who is friendly, courteous and highly knowledgeable is easy to reach 24/7..Version: 26.1.3
Mixed feelingsAlmost from Day One with this printer (Envy 4500) I have not been able to print from my HP Spectre laptop using HP Smart. Either I can’t print at all, or when it does print, it never prints in color. It will copy in color, but will not print documents from my PC in color. It will however, print color documents from my Lenovo laptop. This makes me skeptical about the Instant Ink scam that perhaps it is by design to mostly fail to print my color documents to avoid replacing my color inks. However, I am able to successfully work around my inability to print from my laptop by sending my documents to my email, and then open them and print them from my phone using HP Smart. And for that I am happy. However, I should not have to take the extra steps. And yes, I have contacted HP support. They failed to resolve my problem. After about two hours on the phone with support a few months ago, I was able to print in color from my laptop, but as soon as I restarted my computer, I have the same problem. I have bought my last couple of HP products. No more HP laptops or printers and instant ink is a scam. “Never run out of ink”. Well, during this same time, even through my phone, the color cartridge was failing to dispense yellow. Again, an hour with support until it was decided the cartridge was defective. They will send out another, but due to “supply chain issues” it will take about three weeks to receive. That did not help me when I needed my documents today. Anyway, the HP Smart mobile app was helpful when everything else HP in my life failed..Version: 8.10.1
Great app, but suddenly doesn’t open on iPhone XR.This app is great for printing, & my printer is old enough it won’t scan using the app but the Camera Scan feature has been an absolute LIFE SAVER!!! However, today I went to scan using my iPhone, & it flashed the splash screen up & then immediately closed again. I tried on my partner’s iPhone 8, same response. As an I.T. guy, I deleted the apps, hard reset the phones, then reloaded them to no avail. THEN I cut the router & printer power for over 60 seconds, powered the router & once it was all the way on, powered the printer (a Photosmart C7280 AIO, just fyi, which is the best & fastest printer I’ve had & that they’ve made, imho. I worked in their marketing dept when it was on the market & had the C6180 that was practically the same machine prior. I bought the 6180 around 2007 & had so much ink (these use a permanent print head built into the printer & the ink is pulled in through tiny tubes & there are 6 colors to make photos brilliant - & they truly are! So when the C6180 went out on me about 3 years ago w/a permanent “Paper Jam” msg, I bought a still-in-the-box C7280 & still can use my inks.) Anyway, once I make the connection through HP Smart to the printer, the program now won’t stay open. The MOMENT it connects to the printer from any phone, it WILL print via 3rd party apps by sending them to HP Smart BUT the Camera Scan & all other features no longer are available. I hope they fix this soon, as this program is SO useful! And btw, even though this happens when it connects to the printer, the printer is not the problem. This is, however, my 1st time having such a problem so I still rate the program at 5 stars. I REALLY hope HP sees this & fixes the bug right away!.Version: 7.3
Works really good so farVery happy. Going to save me on buying to get my pictures developed I get my pictures develop just about every week. I take a lot of pictures of my kids. So I already have a lot that I have had to pay for. Now I can start doing my scrapbooks again. I love it so far like I said works very good. Also just started to play around with it today. So very excited about the things that I can actually do with it. Was definitely worth the money got it on sale for Christmas it’s going to save me money but also the money I would spend on getting them developed now I can put that money toward getting the paper that I need to print my pictures and depending on size the paper it’s self can be pricey but the money that I spend in a month from getting them developed I can buy the photo paper almost 4 time for it to add up what I spend a month on getting them developed it’s my kids I take pics of so of course I’m get them developed because to me that’s memories that I have of my children birthday first day of school whatever got to do it while there young that way I always have the memories of my kids been a certain age or whatever ..Version: 20.2.0
Wonderful printer!I used to have an HP printer and it was injured beyond repair in a move. That printer was my best friend sometimes and I was so indecisive when considering a new one. It has taken me years to commit to a new printer; I've picked up second hand ones, emailed documents to printing shops or used the library printer. This HP Deskjet 4100e was given to me as a gift (from someone who probably thought I was ridiculous to not have a printer-considering my working/volunteering/Momming from home). I was reluctant to have a brand new-fresh out of the box printer, but I couldn't refuse the gift. I honestly couldn't have imagined the ease of setting this printer up. (It sat new in the box for a few days; we blinked at each other for a bit). I finally opened it up and wow! Bluetooth communication is so liberating! I can relax and send to print as I scroll. The only drawback is it holds a small amount of paper-which is a good thing in my case so I can spare some trees and be mindful of my environmental footprint. (I'm guessing it holds a half an inch of paper-haven't counted how many pages. I prefer to read, not count). Anyways, this is a great printer overall and I'm happy with everything about it!.Version: 9.4
Pretty good appFirst off, I was never a fan of the big common printer names such as HP, epsom and the like. I felt like they gave printers away cheap only to price gouge on ink and do everything in their power to prevent the use of 3rd party cartridges. I preferred Brother and the fact I could use any ink. This tactic would trick a lot of people who aren’t tech savvy. Well I currently have an hp due to my elderly mother insisting and Its not as bad as it used to be. Hardware is pretty good, ink is reasonably priced and the app is great. The app makes using your hp printer much easier and gives full access to all advanced printer features and modes (scan, fax, copy, print). Nice to have that on a mobile device. I usually opt to use this app and my iPad over my PC or MacBook. I’ll just save the documents to iCloud and that’s that. I also love the fax feature and use it all the time. We have a dedicated fax line for our HP printer, but I always use this app bc it’s much easier to work with. So no need to get or keep a fax line. If only I could convince my stubborn mom to get rid of the line!.Version: 9.0
HP Smart for MacThe HP smart is a good way to access mobile uses, printer setup settings, and various other useful tools. The software seems to work well. However, the development team seems to have left out a very important function for Apple Mac users that used to be in the old “HP Utility” application before “HP Smart” came around. The printers have a “scan to computer” function where you stand at the printer and load files and press the printers touch screen button to scan the loaded pages directly to a computer. This function can only be turned on to recognize a Mac computer to scan to by turning on the tool under the “HP Utility” scan settings on the computer itself and not through the printers webpage settings. Now that HP Utility is no more and we only have HP Smart this scan to computer setting is missing. There is no longer a way to scan straight from the printer to a Mac. Instead now you have to load the items to scan at the printer and then walk back to the Mac to press the scan button on the HP Smart app and then go back and forth to the printer again to retrieve the hard copy pages. Additionally, I assume an update to the software would be in the works to better support the apple silicon devices. The current version has to run in Rosetta..Version: 8.5.1
WhyEither the app is too stupid or I am, because I couldn’t figure out how to scan a document directly using the printer, so I tried the app. It tried to only print out an attached note, duh what? I put the whole document with the note attached because I want a copy of the note as I received it so I went back and moving the dots managed to include the a whole as I presented it to the scanner. It printed out a copy of the note and a copy of the note including the document as I wanted. The whole document as presented great… the copy of the color note attached as a separate document was a waste of ink and kinda an annoyance since, if I actually wanted a copy of the note by itself. I could have placed it on the glass by itself. If you insist on using the app alone to monitor which inks I’m actually using. Yes, I’m using HP inks… Then you could at least make the app allow simplicity without printing out whole pages of what I don’t need. After it printed out both I went back to figure out what happened. Saw that it showed two pages. Okay, now I now know why, but there was no way to select only the page I wanted, because it only gave me a choice of starting over or cancelling when I tried to select the unnecessary page to make it go away..Version: 17.20.1
Printer won’t work without a subscription.I’ve owned several printers over the years, but this HP printer has been the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had. The printer requires you to enroll in HP’s ink subscription service, and if your payment method expires or the subscription lapses for any reason, the printer completely locks you out — even if you already have full ink cartridges installed. That’s right — HP sends you ink as part of their subscription, but if your billing information isn’t current, the printer simply refuses to print. You can’t even use the ink that’s physically in the printer! It basically turns into a useless brick until you update your payment method and restart the subscription. This kind of control over something I own feels incredibly unfair. I bought the printer, I bought the ink, and I should be able to use it without being held hostage by a subscription service. I strongly recommend avoiding HP printers that require an ink plan — look for one that lets you buy and use your own cartridges freely. Once you received the money for the cartridges sent don’t shut off my printer with your greedy services. Printers have been around forever. There’s no reason for something that’s almost obsolete to be so costly..Version: 20.1.2
Hello?? listen to our issues!!I used to be able to change the color options to print in black/white or color. but for some reason, that option is no longer there. i've last used the b/w option because i didn't need any color at the time. now i'm stuck with b/w with no option to change it. however, fortunately, that option is available when i use a pc to access hp smart. but it's so inconvenient to turn on my pc for a simple document that i can pull up on my phone. so basically, the hp smart app for iphone/ipad is useless, unless i'm printing in b/w. the only answer you get from their support is to go to the color option and switch from b/w to color. but it's a useless answer because that option is LITERALLY not there! that's what their support is not understanding! there is probably some bug/glitch that needs to be fixed, the option to change colors/bw print is not there! i've watched the yt videos from hp themselves on how to change the printing colors on the hp smart app and i wish the option was there and i know it was ONCE there, but it isn't there anymore!! i was frustrated for a whole hour before i decided to use my pc instead..Version: 9.6.1
Scanning and EnailingMy review score of three stars reflects a frustration with HP. When I first bought my Office Jet Pro 9015 about three years ago, the scanning app had this nice email feature, which was quick and simple. I would scan and immediately had the option to email, at which point it would load an email with the attachment. All I needed to do was address it and send. Now, If I want to email a scanned document, I need to scan the document, save to my desktop, go to Outlook, draft a new email, go back to my desktop and attach the newly saved pdf file. Some brilliant mind at HP thought I would enjoy pointing and clicking my mouse all afternoon. Another option would be for me to create an address book in the app. Why on earth would I waste my time doing that? I don’t know what motives your marketing crew, but it sure does not seem like it’s user-friendliness. Otherwise you would have left the app alone so people like me could direct our frustrations toward other tech companies, like Microsoft..Version: 9.4
Set up challenging. After persevering, seems fantastic!! Need phone help when directions and apps are coming at you from all directions, some scan-a-codes provide nothing ( out of date?? Or just not functioning well during covid? ). Since Tango X printer was on Apple and ordered thru them, I expected grtr ease of setup because Apple has been very good at insisting on that in past, just by nature of Apple carrying product when not an Apple product. Idea of automatically paying monthly for a printer plan and having ink arrive when I’ll be needing it is fantastic. I have no computer just phone and ipad, but so far so good. Why do we even need computers anymore for home use where we don’t do significant qty of printing—I’ll happily go to print/shop store if needed for great quantities. BUT set up definitely needs availability of someone to talk to when difficulty occurs, in part because at some point in my way past I had been HP printer registered owner, also, HP says go them to get app, I went directly to Apple for dwnload before realizing HP’s recommendation, so i was already off course to begin with!.Version: 8.5.1
Works but Needs workI buy my own HP ink and the printer does not let you use all the ink before it starts printing faded pages. According to the graphic in the app a quarter of the ink is wasted. Also sometimes after manually adjusting the image and test printing it defaults back to original image not giving me a chance to tweak my adjustment or reprint it. Having to login to check ink levels or make printer adjustments is inconvenient. Pop up adds promoting the easy ink program is annoying too. No tutorial after major app updates. My access to select my photos is buried below other folders so it does not show up on. my screen. So you have to scroll down to see it. At first I didn’t know there was other folders below what was on the screen so I could find my photos folder so I didn’t use the iPad app. It was only after another app update that I noticed upon loading that it showed all the folders then resized to show only a few folders on my screen. so I tried scrolling down and found my photos folder. I’ve had this printer for 5 years and when it breaks down I will be looking at other brands..Version: 20.2.0
Very good equipment; not great customer service.I acquired a new Deskjet printer for Christmas from my daughter at Thanksgiving because she knew I needed it and they were visiting from 400 miles away and I would not know how to set it up but her husband would/did. I had a bit of a hard time connecting it to the laptop, but eventually did. My son-in-law had hooked it up to my phone but I had a harder time printing from my phone than from the computer, but eventually figured it out. I wondered if a warranty had come with it, because there was none in the box. There were only several advertisements to get three months of free ink and then be charged monthly from that point on. But, no warranty. I called the customer service number and it took about 15 or 20 minutes to be allowed to talk to a real person!! The same unhelpful options were given over and over and I had to answer the same questions over and over! When I finally did get to talk to a real person, they said I would go on this link they sent me and find warranty. I put in the serial number a few times – –“ no results,” was the message I received. I put in the name of the computer—“ no results.” I called back and then was informed that if I go on the website and put in the serial number on my laptop (as opposed to my phone I guess) my warranty would come up which was good for a year. I hope I don’t ever need to use it and I don’t expect to, but to not just have the little card that used to come with all equipment/devices when you bought them is kind of cheap. I always saved all my warrantees in a large envelope, and I thought how easy it would be to be told “we have no information about you” if we did have a problem and tried to get it taken care of when you had no hardcopy anything to show for it. Perhaps that is the way business is done today, and I am from decades ago, but I have to say I don’t like it; it is not preferable to old people that’s for sure..Version: 17.35.1
21st Century AppI used to work in Information Technology back in the 20th century. I used to build exchange and NT servers for IBM when the internet for most was obtained by a screeching modem call. Oh how times have changed!! I love this app I might just do a scene from “Office Space” on my old laptop because I might not need it anymore! I can batch scan a document from my iPhone. The document to be scanned I put in the document feed tray on my printer. The document feed tray scanned it and then I edited the scan all on my phone. I then had multiple file types to choose. I saved it as a pdf which took hardly any space and I saved to a location of my choice. You pay a bit more for HP printers but “Brother;-)” it works so much better than my last multi-function printer(MFC) which was a lot less than this model. This scan to phone is new because I was using the scan to email which was a bit hit or miss. This scan to app is 100 times better way to go HP, I am liking the 21 century app! Bravo Zulu to you!.Version: 8.6.1
Phone and printer combo is amazingI just want to say that I think all these apps and new features on these printers are just amazing and I think it makes it easy for people like myself who uses my phone more than I use my laptop I have this really cheap laptop that is very slow and I’m kind of likeWhy should I buy an expensive laptop that I’m barely going to use because I have a printer that I barely use and I go through printers yearly no matter how expensive they are because I would have them sit there and the ink dry out and damage the printer so I only use my printer once or twice a yearSo instead of me rushing to the store to spend money for a decent working laptop I use my phone and print from my phone scan from my phone I mean my head just exploded because I was so excited I was able to scan a document that I need to really quickly and email it right away from my phone and I just think that was just amazing and I’m so happy thank you , thank you keep these new features coming.Version: 8.4
HP is deadHP printers work for a little while. And then they just stop. The printer is substandard. Their technology is substandard. Their customer service is nonexistent if you’re not within your warranty or purchasing the ridiculous printer ink that doesn’t work after a while. My printer has not been working now for months. It always takes a while to set it up wirelessly no matter what. Every HP printer I’ve had throughout my life. Today I spent over eight hours troubleshooting, wasted all of my ink, paper, etc., etc. moved the printer all around had to reset my entire Internet because I was instructed to hold the back of my router until the light stopped blinking on my printer, but it never did so now I have to reset all my devices I had to call my Internet provider. When I called tech-support finally got through after hours and hours of looking online at scam websites that claim they work for HP and HP is well aware of them. I’m sure they get a kickback. I finally get through to Customer Service and they want to charge me $20. I told them that my Apple warranty for my MacBook has run out for a while, but they don’t have any problem helping me for hours and hours. They have no regard or respect for their customers and their products are really not good at all. People just need to stop purchasing these items because all they are are rip offs and scam artist. I will never purchase another one again. As I told the gentleman before I hung up on him and then had to just now get off the phone with my Internet service for hours trying to reset my whole Internet because of this ridiculousness. I will never ever buy another HP product again. I will buy canon. I will buy anything, but I will never ever purchase another HP. If people stop buying their products, maybe they start caring about their customers and do some actual research in technology..Version: 17.20.1
Troubles with scanningWhen I start a scan job that is supposed to scan several pages, process them, and then upload them to Dropbox the job never finishes. It just spins on “Processing page x”, where x is the last page. Just keeps spinning. Never quits. I just have to force-kill the app. I’ve had to disable the final upload step and do it manually. It had previously been a really efficient way to process a bunch of multi-page scans. Today the printer/scanner had a real fit. It kept “processing” even after I force-killed it. I’d restart it, still “processing”. It finally lost network connectivity. I tried to get to the web interface to cycle power but the pages took forever to load and then wouldn’t execute correctly. Finally all connectivity disappeared, and the front screen went blank. After several tries I finally was able to get it to shut down. Started it up and tried scanning with manual processing and what I did worked fine. Seems like a race/memory leak or something. Is anyone else now having problems? I just upgraded to iPadOS 14.0.0. Five stars if it would work correctly again..Version: 7.3.1
HP Smart app Makes a Difference! The tasks that I can do at home now pretty much makes a difference in my sanity. I have so many documents and paperwork that need to be faxed, copied, scanned and communicated in general business procedures daily. Before I retired I was allowed to stay after work and take care of a lot of these tasks with the full permission of my boss and company. They were very pleased with my job performance and were very glad to help me get some of these personal tasks out of the way without having to drive to town and Go to an office store to complete necessary personal business. It was helpful beyond words, but once I retired, I still had the personal business to take care of and it wasn't so much a business but taking care of some very disabled and sick family members with all the paperwork involved dealing with hospitals and insurance companies etc. When I spent hours in the office at home with simply a little HP printer/scanner, my computer and cell phone, I just do everything from home using the smart app. Otherwise I would be having to drive 20 minutes without a lot of traffic one way every day and with traffic you could almost double it plus the time and money in the store. I just faxed six pages and a cover sheet to an insurance company a few minutes ago from my phone. I have so much to do and I just saved myself three hours easy by being able to do it here. Obviously I'm a happy customer!.Version: 17.30.1
My beautiful, useful and user friendly all in all printerThis is the best, most user friendly printing experience I’ve ever had! I love this little machine. Everything is so simplistic. I never have to worry about ink, it actually tells my suppliers when it’s running low and they just send the ink to me in the mail! I love my beautiful, useful, user friendly all in all printer! I’ve done it all with this one machine! I have faxed, scanned, copied, printed, stored documents, edited and uploaded them to others all on this all and all printer. I’m not very computer literate but it easily syncs with my phone and laptop. I have gained so much confidence in my office skills, I now want to further my educational experience! Everything is online, now I feel that I can very successfully complete all of my goals! Thanks so much! Oh yes, last but not least the price is so reasonable. It will pay for itself within the first month! -especially if you like to print your own photos!.Version: 8.2.1
Outstanding App!I’ve been using the same HP printer (Officejet Pro 8600) with my iPhones through the years. About 4 iOS updates ago my printer option suddenly disappeared from my phone. Now don’t get me wrong. Yes I have a computer and yes I can print from there, but it’s not convenient to have to boot it up just to print an important email that just came in or a form I need to bring with to an appt as I’m heading out the door, which I can access on my mobile device. Enter HP Smart, the miracle I absolutely needed to continue using my smartphone to simplify my life. Download is quick, setup was effortless, and it quickly found my 2 printers (I have 2 for different types of print jobs/functions). *Make sure your printers are on the same wifi as your device or the aforementioned won’t happen.* I just upgraded my iPhone and immediately downloaded HP Smart. I’m not wasting time with the hit-or-miss airprinter nonsense. HP Smart ALL THE WAY!👍🏽 UPDATE: The panel on my printer went all white. I cannot see or use any of the functions I used to be able to do manually (mostly scan). I looked at ordering a new panel, but the cost was around $75 for a used unit. That I would have to install myself. You know how that goes - go through all the trouble, complete the install and if it doesn’t work the seller can blame me and I’m back to square 1 minus $75. Not gonna happen. Why? Because I can use this app to do all the things I did before! Woo hoo! This is a great printer, I’m so happy I found a way to continue being able to use it..Version: 8.5.1
EhI’ve had major issues printing from my iPhone to my HP network printer because it chops off the bottom in the top of images when I print them from my phone and I can’t choose the size or change hardly any parameters, so I’ve stayed frustrated trying to use the print-from-phone feature.. So I downloaded this app in hopes that it would work, and it does! I printed the whole image and the quality is great! But WHY am I limited to printing five? I needed to print 15 copies so I had to do it three times, and it says “stay on the screen until your print job is submitted” but it stays on that screen the whole time. Also, the verify you’re a human was really annoying. And I had to do it three times. Why do I have to set up an account to use your app to print my own printer it’s made by your company? It’s a little weird. Maybe this is not an HP app. I don’t know . I was able to print my image the way I needed to print it so I will continue to use this, but it’s not quite as seamless or user-friendly as I had hoped. But still better than nothing!.Version: 8.10.1
Could not have been easier setting up my new ENVY InspireThis was, hands down, one of the easiest set-up processes I’ve ever encountered. Just follow the cues, let it do its thing, and voilà, this new printer connected itself to my secure Wifi, it visually guides you for everything, it senses if you’ve maybe skipped ahead (or forgot to remove a piece of packing material). Mine came with six free months of HP+ which is definitely worth trying. I’m eager to see if it truly does anticipate when I’ll need fresh ink so that I don’t run out. I also have no issue with using HP’s own ink for the life of the printer. My last printer, a workhorse HP Officejet, lasted for many years… until I cheaped out one day and put in generic ink. That was the beginning of the end for that printer. I don’t usually write long reviews like this but this new printer, it’s software, and the promise of years of trouble-free printing, really has me feeling like I made the right decision sticking with HP. Highly recommend..Version: 9.1
Sometimes great sometimes eghBasically the title says it. Also, I don’t think my ink and paper membership is fair or even worth it yet if you don’t have the right amount, you basically are screwed. It needs to have a less rigid option for people to either be able to have an “as you need” type of way for people like me who may not use my printer for months but then might need to use it like 20 times in a week. It’s also annoying and hurtful that the constant ink and paper I’m paying for by the monthly membership doesn’t seem to have “holdover”/rollover benefits! I’m not even getting quality content printed despite it being “full” on inks etc! They have lines throughout it all half the time, the colors are always dull and sometimes literally look like it’s out on one color which makes whatever it is look weird! It’s annoying to be paying over what I typically use to BE ABLE to use it when I need it and still, I feel like I never have the correct ink printing capabilities!.Version: 17.35.1
HP Printing ReviewThis app is amazing! Here there are 5 people in my house, and only 1 working computer! As my sister is working on her Spanish project, I have to work on Science Fair, and my brother working on his Heritage project, we’re all fighting for the computer. I need to print out my graphs and photos and data tables, and this app makes it easy for my to do that. This app is very accessible and has many features provided. I will definitely be using this app 24/7! I think this app is only for HP printers (because of the app title), but I don’t think it has to be a color printer. My printer is a color printer so I’m not very sure, but if you have a HP printer, I 100% advise you to get this app! This app is free and you don’t have to pay anything to extra features. I love this app and I’ve LITERALLY had it for not even 5 minutes. I got to resize my photo and in one button press print! This app is phenomenal and it is extremely helpful for those with a single computer and struggles around their home..Version: 5.6
TEMP FIX SINCE IOS 16.2 on iPad killed HP Smart AppWorked for years. HP needs to create a patch now. I cannot connect to my HP Laserjet 4300N which is very old but always worked thru the app, but I can connect to a new HP Envy 6255. Every time I go to print to the HP Laserjet 4300n I got as far as a spinning “Processing” and nothing more. Never had that issue in years and years of using this app. After days and days of messing with this, I found a workaround that really got me back to printing with the old laserjet. Whatever document or snapshot I save, I save it to Files or even Photos. I open the Smart APP first. Make sure I am on the screen of the printer I want to use, this being the Laserjet 4300n, go to menu at bottom that says VIEW & PRINT, which takes me to choices where my document is saved. I select document, then PRINT PREVIEW, AND IT PRINTS! So far this is the only way I can get it to recognize the printer without that spinning message..Version: 9.7.2
Saves my life all the time! What an amazing app!! Here are just a few things I live about this app: 1) mobile fax - not having to go to UPS store every random time I need to fax something is amazing! AND I have received faxes too and been able to print and digital save as PDF. Super duper convenient. 2) Scan to phone - I use my iCloud for all my documents. With the app I can load on the printer/scanner and hit scan on phone and it will scan a pdf that is super clear and easy to save. 3) No extra charge! Before I realized I had this app and how to work it, I was subscribed to a monthly e-fax app and it was a waste of money for the rare case I needed faxing. Saves me a ton of money I’m sure. 4) Activity is saved. I still have records of faxes I sent and received from 2018 - and it has saved me a couple times that I was still able to print the fax confirmation or copy of my documents. Things that I do not love about the app: 1) in order to fax a document - it must first be saved to the HP Smart Folder. So because I prefer to save directly to my iCloud, I either save it to iCloud and then save a copy to HP smart or I have to save directly to HP Smart Folder. Makes it harder to search for a document unless I remember faxing it then I just go to the app’s log. That’s is lol not much to not love! It’s a must have app for an HP printer/scanner/fax machine!! Thanks HP!.Version: 9.7.2
A lot of workThis printer has caused us difficulty since the beginning with print quality, clunky functionality and multiple calls to HP tech support. They first wanted to see if it was the toner we were using even though it was HP. They sent us a new cartridge and the print quality was still bad. I called back to report this and was told it was the photo paper I was using (glossy) and I needed to go out and buy matte for it to work. I started searching around the Web and found all kinds of videos about this but they were all about printing from a computer. I want to be able to print from my phone. The whole point of getting the photo printer was to print photos! Easily! Today, tried again and the pictures printed fine from my phone…on glossy paper! So not sure what happened but I worked on it until it was fixed. It was nothing any HP employee did. I will likely try figuring things out on my own again, before I call HP. They tried but really didn’t help at all..Version: 17.0.1
Not much help when you really need it.This app is primarily designed to drain your credit for instant ink. Pro tip if you do not use it often opt for the 99 cent a month. I use my printer mainly for scanning. It was really frustrating to find out my printer would not operate when the “Free trial” of instant ink ended. The 99 cent option is still cheaper than buying cartridges and having them dry out or empty out when the printer performs cleanings. I just print master copies and xerox my work forms at work. It is aggravating that I have to sign in every time the app is updated. The fax feature is terrible. You can’t fax files or add multiple files to a fax that you have already scanned and saved on the iPad. It will only access photos and only allow you to fax one at a time. The only work around is to add all the pages to word processor document then save them as one PDF on a cloud account like Google Drive then have the mobile fax import the document to send. Poor design what it so “SMART” about it?.Version: 16.5.1.2557
Doing amazing jobA must have app if you have a wireless HP printer.Version: 5.5

✔️I love the printing experience on hp application but just I found some complications when I need to open the screen during the print time.Version: 16.12.1
HP Smart printerI am not sure what’s wrong with this printer that it’s not printing properly with the ink. It’s all blue and yellow in colour and cannot see the photos I am printing. This is just a newly bought printer and I expect it to be more reliable but seems more complicated and more giving me a headache trying to fix it..Version: 16.12.1
AmazingGreat Printer for the price and easy to set up.Version: 16.5.1.2557

Piss poor connection between Apple IPhone 11Pro Max and HP printersPiss poor connection between Apple IPhone 11Pro Max and HP Printers!!! So frustrating, as it took me 2 Hours to install the network connections so I could print 1 page. I’ve had mostly HP printers all my life and this one is brand new as my old HP printer stopped and HP doesn’t make ink for my old HP Printer. I bought this printer as HP duped me with their slick advertising on easy printing from your mobile devices. Had HP added Apple’s AirPrint to their printers they would be head and shoulders above the competition. I think I’m gonna buy from a different printer company next time. You’re loosing a loyal customer HP..Version: 7.1,2
