I am honestly pleasantly surprised! I have 3 kids who look forward to using this app everyday. It is fun, friendly and very engaging. The app is simple and easy to use. I like how the curriculum is broken down. It follows the appropriate grade levels. I appreciate the “Smart Path” function that adapts to each of their learning needs. This has made homeschooling a little bit easier. I have to switch between resources consistently because they learn best through gamification. They love the games, so I’ve been able to use these as incentives and rewards. The only gripe that I have at the moment is that it does glitch sometimes. My son’s coins didn’t update properly at one point, and the profiles didn’t switch. It would freeze on a particular profile. It’s not a deterrent though because the profile issue happened once. I will continue to use the app because it has helped, and my kids enjoy it.
Splash learn has been a powerful part of our homeschool routine! It allows each of my children to learn at their own level while tracking their progress clearly. We use the reading, ELA and Math version. The interactive lessons keep them engaged, strength, and math and reading skills, and build real confidence. It’s flexible, structured, and extremely effective for independent learning! Most of all my children have fun and the daily classes with teachers proves effective for reinforcement for my children! While you will need separate instruction material for teaching concepts, Splashlearn is great for gaps and reinforcement! Lastly, as a homeschool parent, it is hard to keep track of which skills are mastered versus skills that are only attempted, and SplashLearn does a really good job of letting the parent know where the children need to improve or might need more practice or instruction. So the daily report and the overall reports are phenomenal for anyone trying to figure out where their child might be on the learning curve! Splash learn is a permanent part of our homeschool routine!
My 5-year-old absolutely loves the Splash Reading Kids Learning App, and honestly, it has been such a great experience for our family. As a parent, I was looking for something educational that would actually keep my child interested and excited to learn, and this app has exceeded my expectations. The lessons are fun, colorful, interactive, and designed perfectly for young kids, so learning never feels boring or stressful. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my child’s reading, letter recognition, vocabulary, and even basic math skills since we started using the app regularly. The games and activities are engaging enough to hold my child’s attention, which can be difficult at this age. I also appreciate that the app adjusts to their learning pace and builds confidence with positive encouragement and rewards. One of my favorite things is how easy the app is to navigate. My child can use it independently without constantly needing help, which makes learning feel empowering and fun. It’s also a great alternative to regular screen time because I know my child is actually learning valuable skills while enjoying themselves. Overall, I highly recommend the Splash Reading Kids Learning App to any parent with young children. It’s educational, entertaining, easy to use, and truly helps kids develop important early learning skills in a fun and exciting way.
I wanted something that covered a wide range of math topics for my kid to get some extra but fun practice. He has set some goals for himself as he progresses through the app. Each correct answer results in earning a coin. He was determined to get to 2000 of those! He recently did that after months of ~45 minutes a week in the app. His next goal is to acquire all of the stars in his grade level and then the next grade after that. I have noticed some syncing issues between devices as mentioned in some other reviews. This probably has to do with the servers or something. It would be nice to be able to see this improved.
This app is one of the best app available on the App Store. It’s is brightly coloured, interactive, and safe to hand your device over to your child to keep them busy while learning. I recommend this app to all parents of young children and look forward to using it in the future for children in my life. It’s hard to find educational app that children want to play, but this is one. For once, I don’t have to worry much about the screen time or suitable games. I bought them the app and they are learning without even realising it. And best of all they can’t get enough of it. I also feel like my child has grabbed ahold of the math concepts more quickly than some of the other kids of his age. The games are very appropriate for kids and keep them occupied. The graphics and sound are better than other I have seen. Job well done!!!

My first granddaughter, now 5, was eager to go back to this app to “play games”. I would watch her “play” and continued to be impressed on how innovative Splash Learn was (and still is)! My daughter-in-law is very strict when it comes to her two girls “playing games” on our phones. After I showed her the program and how the girls were always eager to choose Splash Learn, it is now one of the few “approved” games she can play on my iPhone or iPad. That, to me, confirmed what a wonderful “game” Splash Learn was while teaching how to write the letters of the alphabet. Figure out correlations/differences between the size of objects, etc.
This is such a wonderful app for my soon to be three-year-old. In just two weeks she has learned so much and surprised me with so much more. Before this app entered our lives, associating letters with sounds was proving to be a difficult challenge, but in the time that we have incorporated “school“ into our morning routine, she has been able to find letter letters in the grocery store and recite the sound without coaching. She is even starting to work on her math skills. Her development has amazed me so far and I can’t wait to see her progress further.
I love this app. It's helped my son learn so much and keep him busy when I'm trying to get thing down around the house. He's always finding something new to do in the app and will sometimes replay games/ levels he's already completed. I truely recommend this app for any parent thinking to improve their child's skills.
My son is 4 and has started to recognize words and advanced in math skills. He has expressed his love for learning through this app. Preparing him for kinder! I love that the app provides parents feedback and you can monitor their improvement and what areas they can work on. He enjoys the different games and learning activities. We started with the trial and my son enjoyed it so much and strived to “level up” everyday, we ended up purchasing the whole year. Great app!
This is an amazing learning app, it is very interactive and everyday the activities gets better, my son loves it, he’s able to navigate through the app without my assistance, also they have an option to upgrade to have you child have a live video class, my son loves the live classes, he has been doing well, the teacher interaction with the kids are amazing. I have a 1 year subscription and I will definitely upgrade when it expires.
The Splash learning app has been really fun for our kids. We do not do a ton of screen time in our house, but when we do the kids get to play on splash! The math and writing games are some of their favorites. We love the options for the differences in ages for our kids, they each have their own profile, and it's all tailored to their age and skill level. There are a ton of learning apps out there, but we would recommend splash to anybody!
My 7 year old daughter had been using this app for a while now ! she has improved so much in her letter recognition and her reading as well as being able to put phrases together im so grateful for this app and i would recommend this app to anyone with kids struggling to read or letter recognition its been a huge help to my family and i ! if i could give 100 stars i would thank you splash reading for the huge help.
SplashLearn has been a great tool to supplement my kids learning. I originally was using it to challenge my daughter who is above her grade level in elementary. The lessons are interactive and match my state standards. SplashLearn strives for students to master the standard and even provides you a curriculum path. I even started using it for my 3 year old and learning letters. He sings, dances and loves it! Impressive that this app keeps different age levels engaged and learning!
This is the only “game” I let my kids play on my iPad. My older child (7) is a hesitant reader and this has helped him gain a little confidence without really thinking about it as something to help specifically with reading. My younger child (5) is very advanced for his age and I liked that I was able to set up a more challenging profile for him (at his request) once he saw that he could do the things the older one was working on.
In the middle of last year, I had to pull my son from school due to behavior issues. She excels in math, but his teacher kept telling me he was on track for reading but him having a sister a year behind I knew for a fact he was behind. After working with/learn reading he has picked up reading so much better and he’s really starting to understand so this has been a blessing for our family.
Hi! This is Isa. My mom always has told me to go on this app to move on to fourth grade otherwise if I do not try this then during the first day of school my teacher will kick me out of the grade after lunch and I will be really disappointed. Also I have a suggestion. Maybe if I get all the three stars and complete the math you can add like a pretend play game in the game section and I can tap on it and it gives me like a character’s mansion where you can take care of him/her and it can have the same stuff like in the bungalow location I like to play with in Toca Life: World. The mansion can have lots of buildings and the city can look like this: ☁️☀️✈️ ☁️🚁 🔽 🌳🏫🕍🌳🌳🌴🌴🚏 🌴🌴🏥🌴🌳🏠🌳🕋🌳 🚗🚕🚙🚌🚒🚐🚎🚛🚚🏎🛵🏍🛴🚲🚃🚋 🚓 🚐🚜🚌🚎🚐🛵🚐🚤🚃
I have been using this app for about 2 years when my younger daughter was 3 years old. I am now using this app with my second daughter who is now also 3 years old. This app is fantastic. Great for teaching number identification, sequencing numbers, greater than or less than. My kids also love the “Chef Yum Yum” game and always want to play it. Great educational app that feels like a video game and keeps kids motivated!
My child (5 years old) has done well on this app. She loves that she can do various things and most importantly is able to have fun on it. We’ve tried various educational apps like ABC mouse and such and she liked this one more. This keeps her engaged and keeps her learning. I am excited to see what new content they will have in the future as my daughter continues to grow and learn with technology.
My daughter has never been very strong in math. She struggled her way through 1st through 3rd, not quite at the bottom, but never really understanding the material. 4th grade hit her like a Mac truck, and because math wasn't my strong subject either, I knew she was in trouble. Then I found Splash Math. I purchased it out of pure desperation. The $10 a moth fee seemed worth it, because it was either that or hire an expensive tutor. I am SO glad I decided to try it!!! At 20 mins a day and only a few weeks into school, my daughter has reached the top of her class in math!!! Her teacher is astounded at just how easily the material is for her (as am I, since my daughter was never a math genius.) If your child needs help, do yourself a favor and get them this app. You won't regret it!!
We’ve had a great experience with Splash Reading! The program makes learning fun and engaging, and it really helps build reading confidence. The activities are interactive and keep kids interested while still focusing on important skills. I’ve noticed real improvement and would definitely recommend it to other families looking to support their child’s reading development.
My son is on the more severe end of the autism spectrum and we struggle to find entertainment for him that's both educational and holds his attention. The different games on this app fit the bill! He especially loves the letting tracing games (he'll play for hours if we let him!) which we've seen translate into actual writing with crayons on paper! We're so thankful we found this app!
This app gets my children excited to learn. There is a Math section and an English section of games to improve their reading, writing, and mathematical skills. The app allows you to set up different profiles for each child. You can also adjust the profiles to your child’s need so that they are learning within they’re educational parameters.
I downloaded this app for my son while we were standing in a store and I needed to distract him. It has been wonderful. He loves waking up and the first thing he wants to do is his daily work in this app. He’s learning to read and spell with this app and it’s one of his favorites. I also love that I don’t have to monitor the work because the app is great for kids. My son is 5!
This app is a great tool for helping kids learn to read. It has fun stories, colorful pictures, and interactive games that keep children engaged. The app is easy to use and offers different reading levels, so it works well for both beginners and more confident readers. It's a fun and educational way to build reading skills at home or on the go!
We use SplashLearn at home to supplement higher-level learning, and it’s made a huge difference! My kids are thriving at school, and I credit a lot of that to the extra practice and challenge they get through this program. They love the fun games and interactive lessons, and I love how it supports their progress and builds confidence. Highly recommend!
I believe that early recognition really works. My son was just 2 when we started and while his attention span is 2 minutes he still enjoys the interaction especially when I sit down with him. I allow him to choose and offer more direction as he needs it. As a mom of five children, I think this is a great app for learning.
This app has been an amazing tool for our child. He’s been able to find a fun outlet that builds early learning skills. The tiered system helps tailor the learning for him. The gamification of learning creates fun incentives and a token economy that encourages him to learn more and move on to the next step. Very happy with our purchase of the full access to the games.
My 2 and 4 year old love this app. They use it about 20 mins every other week as a reward after completing their homeschool. We love how easy it is to navigate. They are both able to find games that are educational and on their learning level. I will always recommend this app for homeschool and fun learning.
We love that Splash Learn adapts to each child’s specific needs, my daughter absolutely loves using the app, it’s easy to manage, fun, interactive and keeps things different each time . She learned to read in no time. Definitely recommend to all parents struggling to get their little ones to start reading!
I have been homeschooling my kiddo since he started Pre-K. I use this as a supplement to his daily work. He is a fast learner and this helps review important subjects throughout math & science. The app is constantly being updated and I see bugs being worked out every time I open. Definitely worth the investment!
We home school, and this has been an absolutely wonderful addition to our curriculum. My 7 year old LOVES the live classes and cannot wait to get on them. Beyond the live classes the curriculum provided feels like to her that she’s playing games but I know that she’s getting in solid lessons.
My 3 year old loves playing splash learn. I limit his screen time as much as I can but he can be on this for like30 minutes to an hour which I don’t mind because he’s learning. He has live classes too! He’s learned to trace and problem solve, I also get reports emailed to me and I love seeing what he’s improving on.
SplashLearn is fantastic for after-school practice! My child absolutely loves the fun games and vibrant graphics, making learning feel like play. It's incredibly helpful for reinforcing concepts taught in school, and I appreciate how it aligns with the curriculum. We've seen a noticeable boost in confidence and improved learning outcomes. Highly recommend!
(This review is part of a contest to win but in no way is effecting my rating or opinion) My son now practices Math weekly awesome, easy, kids/friendly app. Tracks improvements, accuracy and time spent on app. My sons math level is above average according to school tests and the app still offers him challenging levels. I did recommend it to my sister and friend who both love it.
My son absolutely loves SplashLearn. The games are highly interactive and keep him fully engaged, especially the spelling activities. He has learned so much and actually looks forward to using it every day. As a homeschooling mom, this app has become a pivotal part of his success. Truly worth every penny.
SplashLearn has been a fun and engaging learning tool for my 5-year-old. The games keep my child interested while reinforcing essential reading and math skills. I’ve noticed improved confidence and progress in both subjects. It’s easy to use, colorful, and perfect for young learners at home or on the go.
SplashLearn has been a game-changer for my child. The fun, interactive games make learning math and reading exciting. My child loves earning rewards, exploring colorful levels, and feeling accomplished after each challenge. It’s engaging, educational, and keeps them motivated every day while making learning feel like playtime!
I had a traumatic brain injury several years ago. Unfortunately, I have had to relearn all my basic skills again. Splash Math has been a God send. I am mastering skills that have left my doctors speechless over the years. Thank you, Splash Math, for making learning more enjoyable, easier to learn, and in a format that stays with me.
Great educational app great way to keep up with your child’s learning progress Great for your child’s education fun experience for your child with out them having a hard time makes it fun to learn for my daughter helps her with sight words to letters to reading to number comprehension
I tried the free trial when I first saw it and my daughter seemed interested. I bought it and she actually requests to do her lessons. It has greatly improved her math and reading this year! We are excited to use it over the summer and see what her teachers think this coming year!
As a parent, I am extremely cautious about the apps I allow my kids to have access to on the iPad. My kids love this, and I find peace of mind knowing that they are receiving engaging content that is age appropriate and educational. Overall, we love the app. Would not change a single thing.
My daughter ask everyday to play this app. She knows it is a learning app (which she did not like any others and we tried a lot). The games are very interactive and easy to do for little fingers. Highly recommend for Pre-K or any kids that may be struggling in school.
I use Splash Reading daily with my 2nd grader, and it’s been an amazing supplement to her schoolwork. The lessons are fun, interactive and keep her challenged. She’s now working a full grade level ahead and loves reading every day! Highly recommend for any parent wanting extra practice at home.
I love this app
Soooo, I had issues with my math but this app tought alllll of the math and now I get it 🥰
Very good tool and well done.... I've spotted a few math mistakes though... Please think about the rest of the world and put other language support... french, spanish...etc... thanks
Please, If your children are having difficulty with math, this is a game you should download for them. It really helps. This is for any grade! It improves the child’s math :)
Just make sure that the measurement is Canadian to Canadian citizen.
It may cost a few money but it is very educational and vvvvvvveeeeeeerrrrrrrryyyyyy fun
As a full time Math teacher I am aware that parents are very busy being a parent I know what to review with your child can be overwhelming, this app empowers both parent and child to engage in Math learning. It is a very effective tool for learning. I was grateful when I I found this app as it supports what my son is learning in school and rewards him for his efforts. Well worth the purchase!!!
This is a wonderful program, full of awesome things for my son to learn
I love when my kids play splash math.and they improved a lot with there brain.
I like it
Great way to get kids interested and to build confidence!
This helped me sooooo much with my math! I went from A's AND B's to straight A's📚📖🎨📇📁📂✏✂📎📕📗📘📙📓📔📒 this is the best math program ever!
Good app. My daughter finds it easy to maneuver through & helpful in keeping her math skills up.
This game was fun to teach math and awesome!

Very nice math app..... a big thank you for the lite version to try before purchasing..
My 9-year-old son thinks there should be more stars than five. Yes, it did require a little parental explanation to get him started. But after doing a worksheet together with me, he now works independently and is learning well.
Both my son and I love this app. I love it because it sends me a weekly email that shows me how many worksheets and sessions were complete with marks. Need more reading apps like this one
Great app!!!
Splash Reading: Games For Kids Negative Reviews and Ratings
The games are fun, my kids love them but you are limited to 2 games per day so I went ahead and paid for the yearly subscription. They promised a 7 day trial, yet charged me the same day for the year. I upgraded from my son's account but we have a family shared id for purchases, the app didn't update, I then created a new account using my apple ID that was used to pay, still didn't work. My child loss all of his progress because you can't merge accounts, i contacted support, they were useless- no resolution for neither the login issue nor the trial. I have followed their instructions to a T and still cannot log into the paid membership- this is NOT user friendly (I have an IT background so I'm not a complete idiot) - Customer service still has not refunded me so I guess I have to involve my credit card company now. Proceed with caution if you end up upgrading to the paid version.
Ok, so I’m only giving this 2 stars because I’m not sure if the problem is with my daughter’s phone or the app it’s self. I got the app for my daughter to brush up on her math skills a subject she has been struggling in since we switched to online learning. We went to start the app. It should a loaded screen and then the page went blank. I tried restarting the app 2 more times and the same thing happened. Now my daughter has my old phone an Apple 6S. The only think I can think of is maybe this app is not compatible with such an old phone. But all the other apps we have gotten her on the App Store work just fine. I think it’s really odd that this one did not. If the makers of this app would like to reach out to me and offer advice on what we can do to fix the problem I would be happy to change my rating.
I’m writing this review because in my opinion you can’t really play with it. What I’m saying is that you can’t play until you pay the trial that costs like $30 or more! And that might too expensive for just a child that is trying to learn a little more about math. And the crazy part is that I haven’t evan played the game yet because you have to pay the “expensive” trial. But it would be better if they liwer down the price a bit😁But besides that if you do pay the trial it would be an amazing game because it gives you a little sneak peek on what it’s going to be like. So if you’re willing to pay for the game and have an amazing time go right ahead but I’m just going to let this game be for now.
This program has way to many glitches between its apps for the kids and the parent app and the website. They do not sync well together. I got this because I wanted to keep track of my kids work from my iPhone when they do there learning game on there iPads but the systems are not updating and it's very annoying. What should be done is give us a partial refund for paying so much to access all the grades and not have the program work as stated. I also wish there was a way to turn off the non learning games on the app or track the usage of that as well to make sure our kids are not just playing that.
We generally love this app, and it has significantly helped my child improve their reading skills. However, we frequently encounter technical issues that disrupt the experience. The app often gets stuck on the loading page, requiring a restart, and some activities fail to load, redirecting us back to the main page. As premium members, these persistent glitches are disappointing and detract from an otherwise great tool. We hope these issues can be addressed to improve reliability.
I signed up for the trial to see if this would help my daughter (10 years old) to learn and be more interested in math. My card was charged after 5 days versus the 7 day period as stated. There was absolutely no way to contact anyone to get a refund of my $80. She was not very interested in the app/games and said, “I already know this stuff, we learned this in fourth grade.” My 4 year old plays with it more.....so at least someone is getting some use out of it but definitely not worth $80. Super disappointed and wish I could get a partial refund.....at least!
1 Get the annoying hippo to go away. He is super duper annoying and I hate when he pops up and says something annoying. 2 Why do you have to pay for stuff it is annoying but it is also a waste of money think about all the other things that people can do with the money. 3 I would like an update to this app so people would like it more. If you do this I will give you five stars. From BellePeach
Horrible and stupid
I really want to try this app but it keeps on kicking me out of the app so yeah if the developers can fix that for me thank you
Stupid stupid stupid stupid
We have to do homeschool now as all of you, and in school I was learning division but it skipped rite to long division. I’m in grade 4 maybe it though because I was in grade 4 that I would know that but I don’t. P.S. In school we were JUST about to learn long division
I just finished third grade, so I thought I might wanna practice some fourth grade math, you know, to learn some things. When I found this app and looked through the photos, I thought it would be great, so I downloaded it. I started doing multiplication, and it started off awesome. But then, after I reached 1 star, I tried to continue on multiplication, but it said I had to pay a trial. I mean, no way was I going to do that. And, I knew my parents wouldn’t be willing to spend all of their money on this app. I tried to play every other subject, and I couldn’t. To the creators of this app, I would like it if we didn’t have to pay to play.
I thought it was free but no. The app was free but not because after she did one game thay asks for money
Sucks
I paid $50 for the software package, now one year later I have lost access and support is unable to help.
I did not have the money so I deleted it instantly
I needed a password a parents email and WHEN I WAS GONNA PLAY, IT CHARGED ME MORE THAN 40 DOLLARS DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!
Hi people, I play this game myself, but I think it sucks. You get a trial but then you have to pay to move on and play. That sucks! If you got to play without paying, then it would have 🎖🎖🎖🎖 from me. Another reason is that it doesn't tell you how to answer a question, and if you get a question wrong it doesn't tell you what you got wrong. Also I tried to make sound work, but it couldn't work. So this game to me sucks. I'm probably gonna delete this app.
When I played it just gives you one and I didn't even know it and if didn't tell you the answer
I'll try this again....even writing the review is frustrating. Not user friendly at ALL. Free trial moves to charges on your account quickly and its difficult to cancel your account. I wonder if that nickname is taken? My other review (s) do not get posted because "user name is taken"
So, in not sure if this is a good app. Apparently, this app needs a "parents email"! That's so stupid!! And I was so looking forwarded to try out the app!! 😢😭😢
You start playing the game and just when the child starts to get involved a message pops up stating that you need to buy the full version to get past 20 questions!! Wish I had known that b4 downloading!
It takes for ever to download
I like it, but I agree with Kinda. It is just like they said and I don't like the daily limits. It is very expensive items in the aquarium game and.…… Yeah. :( I was hoping it would be good. 😔😔
It's kinda good but a little boring
Well I paid ten dollars for grace four math and it doesn't include the basic multiplication tables, Instead it offers more complex objectives that the children won't be doing until closer to the end of the year. There are a few fun number games, but annoying that the basic 1-12 multiplication is only in the grade three portion which I am assuming I have to unlock for another 10.00. An expensive app. Probably the most money I have ever spent on an app and the most disappointed.
As a busy parent I don't find the time to teach my daughter Math, this app is great and you get sent a weekly report, my daughter gets to play on the iPad and learn.
It doesn't explain to the kids what to do, or why they got it wrong. I though it would have explained the tasks. But it doesn't. I found this a waste of time and money. All my son would do is guess ... What's the point of that? I wanted something that would teach my son something. Doesn't teach nothing but guess what's the answer!
