Enchanting for Skyrim ® App Comments & Reviews

Enchanting for Skyrim ® Positive Reviews

FantasticThis is a fantastic app! I also use the spells app and it's just as useful, the creator is very open to suggestions too. I've only encountered one problem with this one, it tends to crash on my iPhone 4s when I create a new "outfit" for an existing character. It doesn't lose the information though and opens fast, it's just inconvenient. I love it for planing what to make..Version: 1.6

I’m happyMy biggest drawback is due mainly to the game itself. It can be a little complicated, but the game is complicated. It will help immensely when you are trying to bolster your character. I find the premise easy to use, succinct, and makes keeping track of your abilities much easier! Thanks!.Version: 1.8

Awesome work (also, Ahzidal RULES)!Your app is incredibly helpful! However, I believe you missed an enchantment: Fortify Barter..Version: 1.8

Still works on iOS 10, 6+Now that Skyrim Remaster is coming out for the new generation of consoles (PS4, Xbox One, and PC's) I thought I'd check to see if the old app (having not been updated since 2013) still worked. It does currently work on my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 10. It's still the best companion to the game as you can note what enchantments you already have when selling items to a vendor or debating whether or not to purchase a magic item from a store (do I have the paralyze enchantment yet?) The alternative to this app is writing down on paper what you have and need, or running to an enchanted in-game to check. This app also allows you to enter your skills and buffs to see beforehand what strength enchantments you can make. Overall would highly recommend downloading..Version: 1.7

Nifty app, but maybe not a necessityThis app is one of the best (if not the best) app I know of for enchanting in skyrim. It lets you catalogue the enchantments you know which is nice. It also asks for all available and relevant information for enchanting and calculates their effects so you don't have to. Probably the best feature of the app is one which lets you plan out a full set of enchanted gear and see what the net effect is. It might not be worth the money for those who don't mind the extra work to do everything by hand or for those who aren't too serious about enchanting. A convenient app. However, not nearly a necessity like the maker's alchemy app. But If you have an extra $2, I'd say go for it..Version: 1.41

Good, basic reference. This app could benefit from the following additions and tweaks: Which creatures give which souls; possible list by rank of "most beneficial" or "effective;" but the one that would make this app truly killer? Which enchantments are most beneficial to which characters? For example: a rogue or warrior who is much more into physical stamina than mental/magical ability would need enchantments dealing more in stealth, physical toughness/durability, speed and strength of attack, etc. So why "waste time" with enchantments that don't make sense for your character's role? But the cross referencing and programming needed would probably make it more than $.99 Which, in the end, makes this a helpful app to have, if not *as useful* as the potion app..Version: 1.2

HelpfulThree reasons this is helpful; 1) remember which enchantments you have; so you can sell loot you don't need, or buy that item that you'd want to disenchant. 2) some items you loot might be better than anything you could creat yourself; it's nice to know that before you disenchant it or sell it. 3) Planning it all out at the table - which enchants go where (head, neck, etc) - is NOT as easy as planning it all out beforehand with the app. And once you drink that 'fortify enchantment' potion, you've only got 30 seconds..Version: 1.41

Awesome appI love this author, and all his apps are superb. I really appreciate these guide apps because they are inexpensive and more convenient than using Steam Overlay. I'm leaving five stars, but I hope the author will update this app to include effects from Dragonborn and the other dlc if applicable. For instance you can learn the chaos enchant and add it to your weapons. It is not currently on the list of things you can learn. Overall the app is still very helpful and deserves five stars..Version: 1.50

*****5 Stars^sratS 5*****Have been playing since its release almost a year ago. I bought the Official Guide Book for $20 or $25 and spent countless hours pouring over its content. Nothing that I've found or read comes close to the info and content within this app. Always keep my iPhone at my side while playing. Don't know how people play without this app and the others. Keep up the great work..Version: 1.50

Best place to organize enchantingI wanted to be an enchanter but honestly, it confused the hell out of me. Petty, lesser, common, oh my! That's when I found Alan Cave's Enchanting Guide for the Elder Scroll's V: Skyrim. It puts everything I need to know in the palm of my hand, at my fingertips, and right there in front of me! Wow! Seriously though, this is necessary. And his alchemy app. Get it. Updated frequently. While supplies last, participation may vary. Haha just kidding..Version: 1.6

Super comprehensive.I'm pretty bad at keeping track of the different enchantments and where they can be placed and what gem is which so just that part is nice. Request: A page showing which creature has which kind of soul for filling soul gems. I put too many petty souls in common gems, which is annoying. Thanks for the app..Version: 1.0

Still works!Genius. Still good after 6 years away. The best companion apps to Skyrim. I reached for these apps within an hour of booting up Special Edition, and was not disappointed. If you're going to put some hours into Skyrim, spend the money on Alan's apps. Hours saved and my playing experience vastly improved. No more pen and paper!!.Version: 1.7

Skyrim perfection in an AppThis is a must purchase for Skyrim. Use it constantly. The app helped me understand the process of enchanting and why its necessary to advance in the game. The author is very responsive to advice and works hard to keep it up to date. Looking forward to other skyrim apps from the developer..Version: 1.3

Good App! Fix one thingGood app, only flaw is when keeping a list of known enchantments it is difficult to thumb up and down the list without adding or removing what you have listed. Fix so scrolling is protected with edit or some function to protect the accuracy of the list. Thanks.Version: 1.50

Awesome appI never understood enchanting too well in skyrim and now since it's been updated for iPhone 5 screen I will use it on my iPhone a lot more. I personally don't have the time with school to learn ios app development with xcode. I can do html web apps (I guess I'm a html developer) so thank you for your work..Version: 1.6

Great updateThank you for this update. Adding the ability for a second character is a nice addition, My brother and I both play skyrim and we would have to keep erasing each other's information. This is a great update worth every penny..Version: 1.6

Outstanding! This app is incredibly useful. When exploring, I come across items I want to pick up, but am over encumbered. With this app I can pick and choose which magical items to take based on what I have already unlocked. Essential in combination with alchemy..Version: 1.41

Good AppThis is a good app. Could use a few additions, such as a list of what creatures have what soul, but overall is great. Not sure if my known enchantment checklist is transferring to enchanting page, but that is minor. Good buy for enchanting characters to preplan their work!.Version: 1.2

Always greatVery helpful Some apps usefulness becomes obsolete because they lack updates. This app tries to stay on top of things, and I'm sure the gamers appreciate it. A new review every once in a while is a small price to pay for updated info. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK..Version: 1.6

Phenomenally helpful app! Both this and Alan's alchemy app are worth buying if you play this game. Either for the casual player who needs some help or for the min/maxer that has to eke that last percentage out if their equipment, accept no substitutions. And for you rules lawyers out there phbbphhttphbt..Version: 1.4

Good, but missing somethingWhile it does have armor, weapons, clothes, and jewelry, it does not have multiple weapon options. Some people will only use a bow or a two handed weapon, but some people dual-wield swords, and there is no dual wield option..Version: 1.7

Customer service too!!!This app is great but what makes it so good in my book is the option to contact the maker. I did this and he actualy took time out of his life and responded with a good attitude and took my advice! 5 stars all the way.Version: 1.7

Lacking nothingFinally added the soul gem size and it is perfect now. This app and the alchemy app is perfect for in game play for checking quick things and making money..Version: 1.3

Top enchanting appThis and their entire suite of skyrim apps rock! I now use nothing else. I'm trying to think of a down side but can't think of anything. If ur a skyrim fan, their suite of alchemy/smithing/enchanting are the only helpers you'll need. Great job guys..Version: 1.6

Just Awesome!!!This app was great before and now it's better than ever! Perfect for managing multiple characters. Don't forget to get his alchemy app (SR Alchemy). Use them together and become unstoppable, even while playing legendary difficulty!.Version: 1.6

Great AppIf it would work in landscape on my iPad I would have given it 5 stars. I was looking all over the internet for something like this and this app gives me exactly what I wanted. Just add landscape please!.Version: 1.41

Great App If You're Into Skyrim EnchantingI love this app. I use it to help me plan out enchanted gear for both my character and my followers. I particularly love how it allows you to have profiles for multiple characters. Good job!.Version: 1.7

Very Well DoneWonderfully simple interface paired with up-to-date insight make this app a great tool. The only thing it is missing is a slider for weapon enchantments and between power and charges..Version: 1.41

Wow!Love it.. Being able to make classes makes this app more than worth it! Works great & makes planning that much easier..Version: 1.3

Amazing tool for learningI was a bit confused with the fine details for enchanting... This app was awesome for getting me up to speed and understanding what would help my character most..Version: 1.41

Must-have app for Skyrim! If you play Skyrim regularly or just want to get the most out of the game, then I highly recommend this app and the others by the same author..Version: 1.7

Wonderfully helpful!Very helpful and in-depth for keeping track of your characters' clothing and enchantments. My only complaint is that the majority of the app is black and white, where color could liven it up..Version: 1.7

Totally greatAbsolutely everything you need on enchanting, and links to the other Skyrim crafting apps if you want them. Tips on enchanting I'd never seen anywhere else. Amazing..Version: 1.50

It helped me!I would give this app 10 stars! If you want to plan out your enchantment sets in skyrim, this is the app for you! Also the author's Alchemy and Spell apps are both excellent!!.Version: 1.6

Easy to UseI like that you can save multiple set ups and see tallied stats. A definite help when trying to max stats to survive legendary level..Version: 1.6

Useful Skyrim AppThis is a great app! Now I can tell which enchants each of my chars has without taking them to the enchanting table! Keep up the good work! Appreciate the updates!.Version: 1.6

Extremely useful toolIf you play Skyrim then get this app. The tool is easy to use and has what you need for enchanting. Looking forward to the next version..Version: 1.41

YesExactly the kind of organized information you need to get the most out of your enchanting experiments..Version: 1.4

Tremendous Help.Thank you, these updates give you outstanding information and help with this great game that I love. Please keep up the good work. Thanks again!.Version: 1.7

Love itI use this and the alchemy app frequently. The game got 100 times better with both of this developer's apps. They are both a must have!.Version: 1.41

Still great and always kept currentStill great and always kept current.Version: 1.6

Good, but with errors.Would be an excellent app if it weren't for certain mistakes. For example, Fortify Magicka says "Increase your Magicka by 43% points." Is it by points or by percentage? Also, Resist Shock is definitely not available for arms. Please take a closer look at those..Version: 1.2

Great planning toolI love your apps, they are super useful when planning out strategies, I only wish I discovered them sooner. Keep up the good work!.Version: 1.50

Nearly perfectThe only thing that bugs me is that in-game weapon enchants are listed first and in the app clothing enchants are listed first. Still nearly perfect.Version: 1.3

Great apps by this guyI bought this app because the related alchemy app has served me well for many months, 2$ is well worth another great app!.Version: 1.7

Great app!I second the request for a chart of what creature fills what soul gem. Also, please add "Fiery Soul Trap" to the weapons enchantments. Like the potions app by the same developer, this is a must-have..Version: 1.2

Works as advertised! This app is great for everything Skyrim enchanting-wise. There is also a separate Alchemy app that is massively awesome. What would be nice is an app to keep track of what spells you know. Wink wink nudge nudge..Version: 1.41

Great start to a robust app yet still lackingThe base for a solid enchanting app is there but it needs a few more things to be worthwhile. 1. A select/deselect all button for building checklists of available enchants. 2. Character profiles for multiple characters for checklist Building. 3. List locations on how to find rare or guaranteed drop locations. 4. Option for dual wield or shield for character building. 5. Ability to sort the enchant list in alphabetical order as they appear in game..Version: 1.4

So helpfulGreat app! Very helpful in planning!.Version: 1.7

Skyrim enchantingVery useful.Version: 1.6

I was a grate help in enchatingWheel here is what it dose It helps you enchate.Version: 1.50

AwesomeIs very effective and defiantly worth the two dollars ANYONE who enchants in skyrim needs this app it saves do much time!!!!.Version: 1.41

Excellent appAfter using the SR Alchemy app, this one was a no brainer. Excellent, easy to use reference and planning aid. Well worth it..Version: 1.4

EpicBefore this app, I did my enchantment planning with a really awkward excel sheet. This not only avoids that, but also calculates the effects of the enchantments based on your stats. Combined with the author's Alchemy app, these are everything you need to make truly epic equipment..Version: 1.0

A Must Buy paws down. This Khajiit kitty is a big fan of Alan Cave's Apps, so when I heard that he made another Skyrim App I ran to buy it as my tail waging big time, for good reason because it's super great. Don't think, don't ponder, just buy it because you will not be disappointed..Version: 1.0
