SkyFor the longest time I have had trouble remembering the Insertions and origins using flash cards and looking at charts. There were SO many muscles grouped together and when taking a test I had to remember all of them spelled correctly or I would miss the question 😵‍💫. Now that I have this app I have noticed the difference! This makes it fun and is always there for you, which is great when you are trying to recall the information halfway through the day to yourself. I have noticed Major differences when I take quizzes since I started using this app! Love it!👍👍👍💪 GET THIS!.Version: 8.0.76

Just wonderfulBack in the 70s, I had to research so many books at different libraries investing so much time just to have an idea on how the human body moved and other topics. It was just impossible to imagine the ins and outs of the human body. But now...students have a myriad of choices to learn about the human body. This app is for me a treasure that I can share with my patients and help them understand about their condition. Being concious about it, they can take an informed decision on how to take care of themselves. Thank you for all the effort you put into developing this app. Blessings..Version: 9.0.50

Phenomenal app100% worth the money. I am currently in school for physical therapy and this app has been such a useful tool to study and learn on the go. The images are clear and it has a ton of useful information and easy to navigate through. They even have practice quizzes and you can take and you can pin point muscles or areas on the body and place a note there for added study help. The pathologies are also a bonus! You have the entire human body broken down by body part, bone, nerves, blood vessels, and muscles with detailed precise information. Best app I have seen for A&P! Gorgeous graphics.Version: 7.1.02

Great appI’m not in the medical field but I love this app. I originally got it because I had chronic pain in my hip that various doctors couldn’t seem to diagnose. So I took it upon myself to try to figure it out. This app helped me to communicate to my doctors a more precise location of the deep hip pain I had. I found though that I enjoyed learning about anatomy and the way the body works. 5 stars!!.Version: 7.1.02

Well worth the moneyAs a layperson myself trying to learn about my body to address several issues I have found this app to be invaluable..Version: 8.0.76

Good start, but limits soon apparentThe resources are amazing, but the limits soon become apparent. For all the technical accuracy, modeling, displays, the real utility comes in the areas which - despite purchasing the full bundle package - still require additional purchase. Additionally, the quiz sections seem to be at a basic level, with the same questions repeating, no additional levels available. This is a fascinating and informative app, but the limitations keep it from being a great app..Version: 8.0.76

Not perfect but still greatThe joint mechanics animations are not accurate but overall this is an amazing tool. I wish that there was a fair way to buy everything for a reasonable price rather than buying what you think is everything and finding more layers of things to buy. Feels like a bit of a cheat and greedy. Poor business model..Version: 8.0.76

Best App for Self Discovery and NavigationI have appreciated this app since day one. A perfect companion for those with heightened internal awareness. Certainly, movers and healers, but honestly, shouldn’t every human want to know what is inside their own meat suit?.Version: 9.0.50

Great for studyingI am a Speech-Language Pathologist in acute care and inpatient rehab settings and this program is great for studying head and neck muscles as it gives the origin and insertion, innervation by what cranial nerves, and the basic function of the muscles. I'm retaining much more studying with this program than I ever did in grad school and the 3D aspect makes visualizing and understanding muscle relationships between each other much clearer than I ever was able to get from a book or non-dynamic image. Thank you for making this program. I also love the quiz feature, and while basic, it helps in the retention process. You may want to allow users to customize quizzes such as not only being quizzed on muscle identification but also selecting what cranial nerves innervate it and also the basic functions of the muscles possibly in multiple choice format. That would make the quizzes even better! Being able to study by muscle groups or single muscles helps. Very good separation of muscle groups. Before this program trying to memorize all the muscles seemed confusing and insurmountable, with this program I study a group a day or few days until I am confident in it then move on to another group all the while using quizzes to help keep things fresh..Version: 1.5.0

Great app!My chiropractor showed me this app on his iPad and I was amazed, so I bought it for me (professional singer and voice teacher) and my husband (who is in massage therapy school). It's great to be able to show my students what happens when they do something as common as taking a breath, and my husband appreciates being able to see all actions related to specific movements. The ability to take notes and send screen grabs to people is a nice little bonus. On a side note, a recent reviewer noted that they were having issues getting the app to run on 6.0.1 (which is what I am running). I called my chiro who confirmed that he is running 6.0.1 on his iPad. I also contacted customer service before I bought it and they reassured me that it was working. I bought it on Dec 23 and have had no issues. All features appear to be working fine, but I do know that if you have too many apps open (or didn't power down your device since upgrading the iOS) that apps can appear to be broken. This is well worth the price, especially if you are a student, teacher or professional user of your body (musician, athlete, etc)..Version: 2.0.0

Much Deeper Than Just MusclesThis app is still awesome; making muscles faded and seeing how the system works with the skeleton makes learning so much easier, particularly in the 3D space. I am not sure there is anything out there that shows the spatial relationships as well or makes the origins and insertions so clear. ____This is an impressive program, particularly since it is such a deep dive into the muscular system. In college I learned the origins and insertions on static plates so it was a bit tough to correlate bony regions with their muscular partners. This app makes the connection so much easier to understand especially with the pins and color maps and ability to hide, show and fade structures. The textures look very realistic but still clearly delineate the line between muscle bellies and their tendons. I wish my old anatomy atlas could have spun around as smoothly as this and allowed me to dissect the muscles so easily. Great app!.Version: 1.2.0

Finally Apps Med. Students Can UseWhen the "Atlas 2" came out I was impressed. It was the best anatomical app, but still not detailed enough for med or chiropractic students. I wrote a review begging for apps with this amount of detail, and stated that I would be happy to pay $100 for such an app since that is the price of a text book anyway... They are here!!! This app and the "Premium Skeletal" app have this level of detail and, in combination with its unrivaled interactive ability, these apps are a must have for students or for doctor's use as a reference. I am studying Neurology, and so I would like to now beg... PLEASE VISIBLE BODY MAKE AN APP FOR THE NERVOUS SYSTEM!!! I know the "Atlas" and the "Muscular P.A." apps have nerves in them, but I mean an app dedicated to neurology. This would obviously require by far the most amount of detail, so I state again... I WOULD GLADLY PAY $100 FOR IT, AND I KNOW PLENTY OF FELLOW STUDENTS THAT AGREE!!!.Version: 3.0.0

Excellent App for All Sorts of UsersA gorgeously constructed app that seriously delivers in terms of functionality: it's instructive for beginnings and for those looking to brush up alike, and it's accessible for users both inside and outside of the fields relevant to the subject matter. I personally preferred using it in conjunction with some of the other related apps to get both the overview and the specific approaches, particularly in gauging the use of the app across contexts and for various purposes (exam review, initial exposure, satisfying curiosity, self-edification, etc.), but it is also fully functional on its own, so long as the information required is that contained within this app as a standalone purchase. One note to keep in mind: the app is understandably (and necessarily) graphic intensive, takes up a lot of space, and requires some power to run with real efficiency--using it with older versions of iOS and/or on the iPad 2, tends to involve some consistent crashing--tend toward newer models for a smoother user experience..Version: 4.2.04

Great app! One usability issue in latest versionI have been having longstanding problems with back and neck pain, and have found Muscle Premium a really useful way to understand my body better, using the wonderful 3-D interactive touchscreen UI. One usability issue in the current release (5); the older version had a menu item called "full musculature" which showed you all the muscles of the entire body at once. That feature still exists in the current version, but is hard to find. The user has to select any specific muscle, then click on the ">" in the top left hand corner of the screen. This will open a drop-down menu, with the first item being "Muscular System". Click there, and you can see the whole body again..Version: 5.1.05

SkcajI have been really enjoying this app. It is very good for demonstrating to patients how various muscles are integrated together to perform actions and how a patient's activities can cause pain or irritation. There are a lot of good attributes in this app, but there is also some room for improvement. I am having trouble opening the "superficial wrist muscles" section under the "attachment and action" tab. Every time I click on it, the program shuts down and I tried everything listed in the trouble shooting section, none of which worked. One thing I would like to see is a pathology/gallery section similar to the one seen in the skeletal anatomy app by Visible Body. One that would demonstrate how poor body mechanics can lead to disability. I would also like to have the ability to add/remove/fade various parts during the action videos myself..Version: 3.1.0

What I Was Looking ForAs someone who is interested in deepening her understanding of the human body, I couldn't be happier with this app. I am not a med school student (although if you are, I cannot even begin to imagine how helpful this app would be to you), but anatomy has always been on my list of things to study. I have a body, so why shouldn't I try to understand what's up beneath the skin? This seems like an intuitive way to expand my study. The interface is idiot-proof and I cannot stop thinking how much a book that covers this much information would cost. Hundreds of dollars more, I bet. This is way cheaper and you get the added bonus of being able to manipulate the images. A very solid buy..Version: 4.2.04

Excellent study toolAs a personal trainer it's helps tremendously to know movements and muscles that cause the movements. I'm more of a visual learner so actually being able to see the movement involved in 3D is an extra (you can rotate the view of the muscles while they are Moving). I'd suggest you watch their video of how it works to get a clearer understanding. Their quizzes are ok, but not the greatest, and the definitions of structures are in a plain format, so kind of boring which is why i gave 4 stars. Overall it's good if your trying to understand movement, muscle/tendon, skeleton, nerve structure etc, it does help and I would recommend it for people that want to understand anatomy and motion, if they found a way to make the definitions/explanations more interesting with a little more visuals I would definitely give 5 stars. I hope this helped.Version: 3.2.9

A high 4 Star. Bodies are so freaking cool!I wish I had access ten years ago to the technologies we have today. This app would have been an awesome learning tool as a Nursing student; and a fledgling, arm-chair evolutionary biologist. No need for stinky dead cats and a scalpel? Probably not, but this would have been an extra, highly useful tool. Now, as someone greatly interested in evolutionary biology and as an older dude trying to become an athlete, this app is just cool! Want to see how the neck muscles turn our heads, and locate where your crick is? Pull up the app and check out why there is an impingement and where it is and how turning your head is affecting it. Running got your foot in shambles? Well, look at the structure! There's a lot to go wrong...and right there is what's aching. Twist it, turn it, zoom it, flex it, remove it. This app is also great for those who want to see what an exercise may put your muscular structure through. Valuable for planning a full body workout that isn't based on a simple curl, bench or squat. My only complaints are: 1. Can't seem to find a way to center what I want to look at. 2. Navigation is a little blunt. Otherwise, the depth of info is fantastic, as are the graphics. A high 4 star!.Version: 4.2.04

Good but...Very good and amazing graphics! Great for learning about muscles. BUT! It lacks some pretty basic features, which makes the app far less useful than it could have been: 1) There is no way to save a view. It can take several minutes to get just the view you want and if you frequently need that view, it gets quite frustrating having to redo it every time! 2) When you click on an animation link, there is no back button, so whatever view you came from is lost and has to be re-done 3) When you exit the app and later come back in, it very frequently loses where you were, again making you start from scratch at the home screen. 4) With all the anatomy terminology, it would be very useful to be able to tap on a word get a definition as well as the option to Google it (or at least copy to clipboard, so that you can switch to the browser and paste it there) 5) Please include common plain-English terms in your keyword search. For example, if you search for "ham strings", you currently get no match. It would be great if it would match the corresponding muscle group, so you do not have to know the Latin name when trying to look up a muscle. Please address this and the app would be a 5-star app in my book!.Version: 3.2.9

Very valuable toolAmazingly realistic and captivating illustrations of the anatomy. The instructions are clear and he app is easy to use. Rotate, zoom, and pan features are easy to perform and are very helpful. I love being able to watch the animations in 3D from any and all angles. As a medical device developer, this app is great for educating other engineers, collaborating with cross functional team members, and even serves as a nice tool to think creatively about new product ideas. On a side note, as a person who's undergone orthopedic surgeries, watching the joints move from various angles with different muscles highlighted was very cool to see and helped educate me on proper joint function and how my shoulder might be compromised from surgery..Version: 4.2.04

Wish they would make just 1 change...This is a great app overall and I would recommend it HOWEVER there is one thing that I would LOVE to have seen them do. I bought this app specifically for the actions of the muscles... So here goes.... I wish they would have broken down each muscle and animated the action. Right now they show the actions of all the muscles responsible for that particular motion ie head flexion or shoulder elevation. But you can't see that isolated muscle doing the motion unless it is the most superficial muscle. There is no way to see muscles that are deeper. Usually you can hide structures in this app which I love but for some reason you can't when it's showing the motion. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE take this review into consideration, VISIBLE BODY!!!! Otherwise the app is wonderful! Definitely worth the money..Version: 4.3.02

Absolutely amazing and worth every dollar!!!Absolutely amazing and worth every dollar!!!.Version: 8.0.76

UnparalledAn exquisite, immersive tool whereby the (remarkable) technology recedes into background noise as you open upon a field of learning. Visually, it's stunning. The highest recommendation..Version: 4.2.04

Videos close appThe Static visuals of the app is great but when I try to watch the videos it crashes the app......every time. I was quite excited to purchase the premium app because of the videos. Disappointed.Version: 7.1.02

Visible Body -- muscle premiumMind blowing !! Works fantastic !! I sprained my rotator cuff. -- right shoulder --wanted to know more about it. Showed it to doctor, physiotherapist, and chiropractor -- they loved it, and intend to buy it! My chiropractor said he paid $1500. For a British program that is not nearly as good!.Version: 4.1.02

StudentGreat help to study from.Version: 4.1.02

Just perfect! This application is perfect for learning the muscular groups required for all movement in every body articulations. Now that the learning is over I use it to show to my clients why they hurt where it hurts, as a registered massage therapist I recommend this application to everyone doing any type of physical therapy..Version: 2.0.0

Good product!I've been using this in my residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. It's been quite useful for origins and insertions of muscles. Also good for the relationships between muscles!.Version: 3.2.9

DrThis is quite good. It shows movement but its confusing which muscles are doing the contracting. A colour variation coordinated with muscle contraction tone would be helpful.Version: 3.2.9

Very impressive and useful apps but crashes very 10min or soI use an iPad 2 with iOS 4.35 and installed the latest April 2013 version of this app. This apps is very useful in my study of functional anatomy but it crashes very 10 minutes of usage. Please resolve this with an update as soon as possible since it is very unproductive to have to re-boot the iPad every 10 minutes in the course of my study. Thank you so much in advance..Version: 3.1.0

Muscle Premium from Visible BodyThis app has proven invaluable to me for explaining how joints and muscles are used to apply joint locks and techniques to safely restrain our partners in the practice of martial arts..Version: 3.1.0

Awesome appI'm a physiotherapy student and this app has helped me / will help me in a lot in my anatomy courses. I use it on my ipad mini when studying or showing patients images. Over all I would give it 4.25/5. I would like to see blood supply and the vascular system added. Also when getting the information for muscles, I would like the ability to add custom pins along with being able to attach notes to the custom pins for studying reasons. All in all it is a great app and I would recommend it to anyone in the medical field. For an average person, this may be too intensive..Version: 3.0.0

Excellent app w/ a few things to improve on.It is an amazing app that I have seen so far for MSK review. The only comparable one on PC IS Multifit but unfortunately no ipad version. It would be nicer though if a few things can be improved on: 1) muscles can be deselected. 2) transparency can be adjusted. 3) screen shot function can be available on all sections. 4) muscle name next to the pronunciation can be linked to the muscle page. However, overall this is the best muscle app I have seen..Version: 2.0.0

Med StudentA great muscle anatomy app. Visualizing the muscles in three dimensions is very helpful in determining the function and position. You are able to hide muscles to reveal deeper compartments and read descriptions about selected items. I was worried that the app wouldn't have the bones labelled (as it is a muscle app and they could have another app for bones) but I was happy to find it did..Version: 2.0.0

10starsCan't recommend this enough. Simply, intuitive and makes the human body easier to understand. Can't imagine learning anatomy any other way. Thanks for making this available!!!.Version: 2.0.0

Excellent resource for artistsI'm studying drawing and painting with the live model and this app is great. Being able to turn the 3d model to the same view as the model helps to understand exactly what is going on under the skin. In a future update it would be great to be able to pose the 3d model in different realistic poses. I've had the app a coup,e of days and already feel that my knowledge of a smooth has grown extensively..Version: 2.0.0
