Depop - Buy & Sell Clothes App Comments & Reviews

Depop - Buy & Sell Clothes Positive Reviews

Need to fix update and work on customer serviceI’ve been selling on here for over 2 years now and this is my poor experience. The app keeps crashing every time I try to check my notifications or even if I’m sharing my own listings. App tends to freeze and then close, super frustrating please fix this. I also want to complain about the scammers on your platform you never seem to care about. The customer service is awful I keep getting my listings deleted because they are too much of a great quality and Depop automatically assumes I stole and re-listed stock photos. Also if you have any issue they take MONTHS to solve it let alone solve your issue. I had to wait over a year to get some fees reimbursed after I did a refund for a few customers. I suggest trying another selling platform like vinted, ebay, poshmark, tradesy, Shopify and so on. I’m a top rated plus seller and to be honest Depop needs a lot of improvements. I’ve also had accounts steal my photos and Depop did nothing about it even after bringing up my issue to customer care. They tend to favor big shops even if they are not following guidelines. That is the honest truth as to why I don’t even try to sell anymore on this platform. Scammers are also everywhere be cautious if you sell designer or high priced items they tend to send messages trying to scam sellers but Depop does nothing about it..Version: 2.196

ImprovementsI appreciate the overall concept and certain aspects of Depop because I can conveniently make money off used clothes and also develop a clothing brand of my own , but there are a couple of features I would love to see Depop revamp/implement. First , I get it that sellers probably shouldn’t be notified which particular potential buyers have bagged their items so they won’t pressure the buyer into making that purchase , but it would be very helpful for sellers to get an idea of what time range the buyer added said item to their cart so we can make offers to users who liked that item(s) throughout the time range. Secondly, Depop could have a little tiny section maybe just a small corner of the home page that tells you which times in your time zone generate the most overall Depop activity. Going a step further, eventually the technology could improve to share the activity of users surrounding particular styles of items which you are selling. Lastly, I feel Depop should allow more leniency to sellers and rid the site of the “seller usually ships in ___ days” section of the bio. As a seller of both second hand and custom pieces, a second hand piece takes thirty minutes to assemble and drop off at the post office , whereas a cusom piece can take multiple days to perfect and ship out. Bc of the large difference in time I do not think it is fair for the ship time to account for only the longest amount of time..Version: 2.255

Overall company improvementI sold with Depop for about 6 years and have had no issues with the app up until recently. My PayPal disconnected from my Depop account so I could no longer make purchases or sales. I tried multiple times to reconnect the accounts but in the end couldn’t. At least on my end. This caused me to use other methods for payment means. I only made two transactions with other Depop accounts (who were also dealing with the same PayPal issue). Less than a few weeks pass and Depop suspends my account indefinitely. The emails I received explained that there had sent me many warnings which they did not and when I tried to explain this they defended themselves and said that their decision would not change. This has happened to many Depop stores. I had read under their one of Depop’s twitter page posts that a girl’s store was suspended for bullying when one of her buyers called her a racial slur. She provided screenshots as evidence and they never gave her account back. Depop needs to open up the payment options and allow users to dispute suspensions if the seller has proof and Depop should HONOR it. PayPal is a very buggy website and does not work for everyone. Instead of punishing the stores that are honest and true they should focus on better means for transactions, policies, and dispute customer service needs..Version: 2.103

ImprovementsSo far I like this app to get a couple bucks in my pockets. I think it's a great app and has a lot of potential to grow a lot more. I used to use another buy & sell app (not mentioning the name because I don't want to be on here promoting another app) but that other app has made me A LOT of money simply because that app made it so so easy for users to find my listings. I think Depop should me make a couple improvements when it comes to the listings. 1.Create a new feature where we can actually share our listings therefore i listings are getting views and are not forgotten in our feed. By us being able to share new listings are listing are going to be visible to others because it will go in the feed. The more we share the more are listings get views. So for example we we have a homepage and everytime our friends share a listing of their own items or other friends items it goes into our feed"homepage" and walaaah! We are able to see new items and have a lot more potential sales. Also having a "favorite" option to add our favorite users would be great because that way we can always easily go back to their feed and see if they posted new things. I have a lot more feedback. Hopefully these ones are taken into consideration as I do believe that making the listings more visible would me great for the app..Version: 2.29.1

The future is brightThere is a lot about this app that I like! The shipping process is very simple! Leaving buyers & sellers reviews is super easy! The percentage Depop earns is low so you get a larger portion of what you sell in comparison to similar apps. If you’re looking for unique items this is an app for you. Unique items are everywhere & not everything has to be name brand. I find beautiful items all the time that are stylish & aren’t name brand. The focus should be on esthetic & how you style an item. My absolute favorite part is the expression of creativity. Depop is a place where you can bring the creative vision you have for your shop alive! Everyone puts a lot of thought into bringing their vision alive! Each shop has its own vibe, & I think that’s so cool! My only complaint is that it is very hard to get ahold of anyone at Depop. If you ever have a pressing issue the process is really annoying & time consuming. Returns & exchanges should be easier. But above all else communication should definitely be improved! Whether it be through email, phone, or through the app there should be a point of contact. It means a lot to hear a voice on the other end of the phone, or knowing there’s a real person emailing you who is concerned & willing to help. In my opinion this app could use some work here & there but 90% of it is working & very user friendly! I can’t wait to see what this app will be like in a year or two. ❤️.Version: 2.23.2

PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR SELLERSI think the app is good but there’s obviously some bugs. This isn’t really isn’t about my experience because I was lucky enough to have a good experience with depop so far. I convinced my bf and sister to get depop to let go some of their items & make cash. However both of them experienced not receiving shipping labels EVEN WHEN THEIR PAYPALS ARE VERIFIED. And I’m sorry depop but your support team needs a lot of work. For my bf it took two weeks to get the shipping label for ONE out of TWO items people bought from him. My sister is STILL WAITING for them to get back to her. My bf deleted his old depop account to try and see if it’ll work on his new account and the SAME THING HAPPENED. Plus the support team sent the same advice to verify your account to my bf when he had already made it clear that it was already verified and he couldn’t get the label. He ended up paying out of pocket for shipping for one of the items because he wasn’t able to access the shipping label. Now that the same incident is happening again to my bf it is stressing him out because he might have to go through this process all over again. He’s going to check one more time to see if his account is verified for sure. He told me that if this doesn’t get resolved he’s going to quit depop and sell elsewhere..Version: 2.96

Good enough for meI’ve had Depop for a while now and I’ve enjoyed it a lot for the most part as a buyer (haven’t experienced selling yet). I thought I hated shopping for clothing before I found Depop. I guess I just hate leaving my cozy home and the general styles I see at the mall and whatnot, but while using Depop I’m able to shop from the comfort of my house and find a variety of cute options of clothing in much lesser time than I would at a physical store. It’s easy to use and I’ve found so many nice outfits that I adore, and most are vintage meaning it’s likely I never would have had the opportunity to purchase without Depop. Plus, buying second hand clothing is environment friendly :) One complaint I do have though is that the app exits me out after a certain amount a time, which can get a bit irritating because I lose where I’m browsing. I hope this gets fixed, or that an option to check our browsing history is made available. I’m also glad that the app doesn’t give annoying notifications, except when they’re necessary, like follower updates/pm messages/comments from other users etc. I’ve seen that a lot of people have other (less positive) things to say about it, but for a shopping app, I think it’s a lot better in comparison to others and that it’s done a great job for the most part..Version: 2.19.1

Awesome, butI love this app! It’s so much more aesthetically pleasing and simplistic compared to other apps, and it’s super easy to get a hang of! The app itself is great in function, but it can be really difficult to find good stuff since a lot of people find a $3 toddler shirt thrifting and then sell it for $47 as a “rare baby tee”. It’s also REALLY common for people to put the brand as Brandy Melville just for exposure when it’s actually something from H&M. The app tried to discourage from doing this, but everyone does it anyway. However, you can still find a gem at a great price every once in a while. I have a suggestion that would make the app easier to use- while there are filters on the app to easily find what you’re looking for, I think it would make it even easier if there was a “sort by” option- ex. newest to oldest, lowest to highest price. This would be especially helpful for the “saved” section. I also think it would be great if you could automatically see which items you liked are already sold, similar to how you can see the word “sold” on top of items that you’ve saved. There are a few things that aren’t perfect, but overall, this app that’s structured almost like social media makes buying and selling secondhand clothing really easy and fun!.Version: 2.103

Updated ReviewUPDATE: After writing this review, a developer reached out sending me a link to re-appeal the decision. Upon doing so, a new person took over my case and was able to remove the review. I am very appreciative and will continue to do business on Depop. I will keep my original comment down below in case anyone may find themselves in a similar situation. I’ve been an active seller on Depop for about two years. For the most part I’ve had good experiences until recently. I sold a pair of shoes, advertised as a size 6 to a buyer. The buyer rated me a 1 star because the shoes were too big & she compared them to a European size despite me never listing them as so. She also made some petty comments confirming that she knew she was in the wrong. Regardless I reported this to Depop as this was a clear unfair review. The buyer also reached out to me ADMITTING it was her fault and she was not interested in a dispute because she “donated” the shoes. Depop told me they will not remove the review because the buyer is refusing to open a dispute. Despite all the evidence I submitted, I kept getting the same bot response. So for that reason I made the choice to leave depop and sell somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous but whatever, Depop would rather lose $$$ than help their sellers..Version: 2.313

Great app, still has room to improveI have been buying and selling through Depop for almost a year now. It’s very easy to use on both counts, and I’ve found some really unique pieces I love. I have very alternative taste in clothing, so I can’t generally find things in typical high street stores, but Depop always has stuff that’s perfect for me. My main complaint is the massive influx in dropshipping. If Depop won’t ban it outright, they should create a separate section for it. It’s difficult to search for anything when the app is clogged up with hundreds of people selling the exact same cheap Chinese knockoffs, and annoying to see listings for something for $50 that you can buy from Wish or Aliexpress yourself for $5. It’s especially scummy that they never disclose that this is what they’re doing, and often explain the 4 to 6 week shipping time as the item being ‘made to order’, which implies that *they* are the one making it, not some Chinese sweatshop. That’s borderline scamming, and I think they should at least be required to make it clear when they’re dropshipping. The misusing of tags also needs to be fixed, because as is, it’s almost impossible to find a specific brand when sellers flood the tags with unrelated items. Finally, I wish they’d ditch the fuzzy searching - for example, searching the keyword ‘clown’ will also return results for ‘crown’, etc..Version: 2.56

Great findsI used to use depop to both sell and buy but I found it quite hard to sell even trendier items at the most affordable prices. But something is up with Depops featured/explore page. It’s ALWAYS the same sellers and even items that were sold a week ago that are still being featured. That’s frustrating for both sellers looking to be noticed, and buyers looking for good items. I hate when I click on something from the featured page thinking “oh this is cute” only to find that it was sold 6 days ago — why is it still even there?? It’s also frustrating to be scrolling down that page and you see... the same of everything. 90% striped clothing. Two days later, 90% blue things. Few days later the explore page is 90% belts, or some other random accessory. Does that happen to anybody else or am I crazy? I hate it. That being said, I have found some great stuff as a buyer. Some of my favorite items in my wardrobe are from depop and I love the sellers that go the extra mile to create a good transaction. I believe depop recently began giving buyers a tailored page “just for you” and your individual interests. Is this supposed to be based on your personal searches? Because at this moment, my “just for you” page is mainly comprised of dad sneakers... which I have never searched or clicked on once during my entire time on depop. I’ve shown 0 interest in them ... so why are they all I’m seeing?.Version: 2.43.2

Great App BUT One Major Flaw For SellersMy main issue with DePop, is an issue no other selling app like it’s competitors have such as; eBay, Poshmark, etc., is when someone makes you an offer, and you (the seller) accept the offer then the deal should be approved right then and there. Just like eBay, Poshmark, etc. INSTEAD, it sends ANOTHER redundant and unnecessary request back to the buyer to basically have them confirm AGAIN, that the seller in fact accepted your offer, are you sure you’d still like to buy this? Leaves a massive flaw and hole with this platform, the others are structured much better so it doesn’t waste the sellers time. I can’t tell you the amount of missed sales, ignored DMs, etc., after someone sends an offer, for me to accept it, then not even get the sale. It makes no sense. If you’re at an auction or any type of setting like that and make an offer to a seller, then they accept, the deal is done. So I warn sellers, this has potential to be a great platform for you to sell your stuff wether you’re a legit business or someone selling old clothes. Unfortunately, the platform has so much potential and will give it one last shot as I’ve only been doing this for 6+ months, but the app is designed in a weird way to where you will be wasting a lot of time and missed opportunities for sales due to the redundant offer system DePop sets up for their buyers..Version: 2.308

Best Buying/Selling App EverI started using Depop around 4 months ago, because I was really into vintage clothing at the time and was looking to find some nice deals. I was so used to using eBay and other apps, but I was very excited to find an app dedicated to mainly clothes only. I found some awesome stuff, and was buying avidly on Depop. I just loved the way the app was set up and just everything about it. The format and everything. It was awesome. Then, one day I decided to try to sell some stuff. I wanted to give it a shot to see if I could get some extra cash. I started off my selling my old clothes. It took a couple weeks of likes on items and messages until I finally had my first sale. It was very exciting for me and I thought I was the coolest person ever that at the age of 14 I sold an item. But my business took off after that sale. It then became a habit of myself and my brother who also has a Depop shop, going to thrift stores every weekend to find cool vintage pieces to re sell on our Depop accounts. Since my first sale, I’ve made about 60+ more sales, and have great feedback from all customers. I’ve made a bunch of money, and I just can’t believe I’m doing this as a 14 year old. It’s truly a great way to become a young entrepreneur. 5 stars..Version: 2.21

Sellers be cautiousI do like the app but i think depop sides more with buyers when it comes to returns and staff for depop customer service doesn’t know much and give conflicting information. I had someone mark something as “not described” that was as described. I sent photos and explained to them it is indeed as described and they still sided with the buyer even though I had proven it was fine They then said they would take the refund out of depop account and not my bank and they took it directly from my bank account. I also sell on other sites such as p0sh and had a similar issue although this buyer was much kinder and understanding, (this item was damaged in the mail by usps) the buyer was able to keep the item and receive a full refund and i was able to keep my money as well but again this was on P0sh. Funny how things are handled much differently…depop just sides with buyers and the staff gives the wrong information when you ask questions. I asked one person a question such as how does the refund work and I didn’t want it taken from my bank and they said it just stays negative in my depop until I make another sell but that was WRONG. What if I was overdraft!? I wasn’t but I could’ve been. I asked another person why it was taken from my account and they pretty much just said that’s standard. So makes no sense. Poorly informed customer service..Version: 2.305.1

Amazing, forward thinking, caring, also slowDepop is an amazing company behind I a huge vintage clothing boom. I really don’t have many Criticisms for this app other than the UI can be a bit buggy and their are a large amount of spam accounts (but they are doing a good job at lowering the amount of spam accounts over the years) if you decide to become a seller be prepared for a fairly easy and quick process before you make your sale. Depop is also active and has fixed a previous bug after I mentioned it here on the App Store reviews * I have to edit my review for this app again as I’m still having problems with clickable hashtags on mobile. Some listings are a little bit better than others but with the iPhone 12 Pro Max I can’t get to hashtag listings unless I slam and spam the hashtag, this is specifically for my listings as a seller account… as a seller when you go to click on hashtags that are your own they do not register.. PLEASE FIX * offers from buyers as a seller on this app are pretty terrible in the aspect they let buyers send you offers for items without securing their payment before offer, this ends in a lot of frustration as you take time to contemplate the offer and maybe finally accept, then you wait 24 hours to have that buyer not follow through… please take a note out of Mercari offer system, much better..Version: 2.215

DepopI love selling on depop and promoting shopping secondhand; however, this app really needs to step it up. It constantly crashes, freezes, and glitches. My phone temperature heats up nearly every time I am trying to post something or even when I’m just browsing the app. Depop support is the worst customer service I’ve ever had to work with, as their help bar is such a process to work through (it offers specific topics to ask for help on but not all) and when you do get in touch with them it feels so depersonalized and not at all like the other end is truly hearing out your issue and actively working to solve it. If you have an issue your best bet is to reach out through twitter which is so extra. Depop also often spotlights the worst sellers who don’t shop sustainably themselves and often post fast fashion items and play them off as vintage, only because their accounts do so well and they’re a popular presence on the app. It’s very tiring trying to become a successful seller on depop when your potential sources of inspiration are sneaky and terrible people who don’t uphold the wonderful values that Depop pushes out, it feels like such a double standard. I’m really frustrated with this selling platform because I want to love it and I want to continue sharing my love for shopping secondhand but it’s so exhausting here..Version: 2.281

{EDITED} suuuper buggy.EDIT: haven’t had any of these things happen in a while- great job !! ^__^ depop has a lot of great items, but the bugs make it unbearable and almost unusable- when i want to open the app it sometimes takes 20+ minutes of trying and retrying to get into the app. i’ll click on it and it’ll show the depop logo on a white screen, sit there for a minute or two- and then crash. i’ve tried deleting the app, updating, restarting, refreshing, it’s just a lost cause unless the depop developers can fix this. also, sometimes when i’m scrolling though items, the top bar will glitch and suddenly i cant scroll anymore, i can only exit the items which takes me back to the very top of ur page which is really annoying ! >_< i’ve talked to friends of mine with depop and they say they have this problem too. also when the searches say they have, for example, “50 new items” i’ll click on the search and go to the newest items sorting but there won’t be any new items :( sorry this is so long but i just wish depop wasn’t so buggy. please fix these minor things and i’ll change my review- thank you so much for your time.Version: 2.143

Buying fees are way too high!!!I’ve been on depop for years and used to love buying and selling. For the sellers perspective, losing less money is great and I enjoy keeping most of my profit, BUT personally, I prefer the older model where sellers would lose 10% of their profit. This allowed me to price items accordingly and the buyer could buy an item without so many fees added to the total cost. I think it’s ridiculous that when you’re trying to buy an item i can expect at least $10 increase in what i’m actually buying just on fees and tax alone. It completely ruins the whole point of depop and truthfully makes me no longer want to buy on the app because of how heavy the fees are. I also think depop should bring back comments!! They’ve been gone for awhile but I genuinely think this will stop sellers from selling $7 walmart shirts for $30-50. Like seriously this is an app for second hand clothing @_@ and now it’s just a place where people price gauge and the depop forces you to pay even more in fees. like why am i trying to buy something listed at $65 with $5 and ending up with a $78 total? I can literally buy the skirt new for that price •_• i remeber one of my first depop purchase being the white and black tuk kitty cat shoes and i paid exactly $30 because the seller paid for shipping 😭.Version: 2.311.1

Laggy, buggy, and slow with all the new updatesI’ve been selling on depop for 3 years now and i miss how simple it was in the past. So much has changed with the app’s interface in such a short amount of time and not really for the better. Because of all the new updates the app is infuriatingly buggy and slow. the app constantly crashes and exits out, making listing things a nightmare. forget even trying to open another app, depop will exit out which makes even the scrolling / shopping experience unpleasant because i have to search and scroll all over again to get back to where i was. other platforms have offer and boost options with little to no interface issues so i’m not sure why depop has yet to try to address these issues. also, notifications are pretty annoying for lack of better words. i get ‘reminder’ notifications to ship items that have not even been sold for 2 days and despite having them toggled off i am still getting notifications for other sellers’ offers or if a seller reduced an item i liked price. pretty lame because all in all i do love depop and i’ve had some pretty amazing buying / selling experiences on the app but i simply cannot keep pretending that the recent interface issues are not a major pain..Version: 2.297

Mobile app is great- desktop is bafflingly glitchyI use my laptop extensively on a daily basis, and today I tried to use Depop there (for convenience and better visuals); and I had one baffling technical problem after another. From my (correct) password not being accepted resulting in my getting locked out of my account, to not being able to upload a profile pic (no option), to the pay screen not registering my name/address info (as though I hadn’t filled out all required fields; I had) to finally alerting me that a seller in the US could not ship to my country (I’m also in the US). To Depop’s credit, their customer service was relatively quick to jump in (via email) and help troubleshoot with a very human presence and clear directions. However, most of their suggestions were already tried, or weren’t applicable. After feeling fed up and stepping away from the madness, I found that uploading a pic on the mobile app was simple and intuitive, and filling out my info to pay proved to be no trouble at all. Tl;dr- there is no rhyme or reason for the load of trouble you may encounter using Depop on a desktop; understand that it is intended primarily for mobile use and use it there if at all possible..Version: 2.266

Well I'm happy with itI see a lot of mixed reviews here that I've taken the time to read. I think people are expecting a lot from this app, which is very good; though demanding all of the kinks and tweaks to be made ASAP I don't necessarily agree with. In my opinion the app does what it is supposed to. I'm seeing a lot of complaints about the explorer page but come on. Okay yes, I get that it helps sell items but is it really that big of a deal? So the same, relatively well known sellers get a spot more frequently than the rest of us but that's just something that needs to be worked out. And, if you asked me, doesn't take away from the functionality of the app. To me, the app is lovely and I spend a lot of time paroozing through clothes just to pass time. I know the app has a couple of things that need a bit of TLC but I'm going to stick by the app and support it because I think it's a great concept. All apps have things that they need to work out, I mean come on.. that new snapchat update?... Instagram's chronological issue that they haven't changed bc they won't acknowledge that we all loath is? No. That is not this app. This app, as I have seen, listens to the critique of its users. I love this app for that. And I think it deserves more than people care to give it..Version: 2.14

I need help!So I really loved this app but would never really get any shells but I thought I would keep selling in there anyway. Then I accidentally logged out of it and when I tried to log back in it wouldn’t let me. Sooo I thought okay maybe I need to reset my password so I reset it from my email and then tried again and it still wouldn’t let me:( so then I looked it up and it said to try and delete the app and download it again and so that’s what I did. But then it still wouldn’t let me and it says “the operation could not be completed. Please try again later” and I don’t know what to do because I have tried to get back in and can’t. And I fear that someone may want to buy something and I have know clue. Or my account will be taken down due to “inactivity” but I simply can’t get in. I really need help. UPDATE:!!!! I am back in!!!!! I looked it up for more research and I found some info! So it said to try and turn your phone off and back on to see if it works and then if it doesn’t then turn off your WiFi and try again( that’s when mine worked— when I turned off my WiFi— ) and then if it doesn’t work when you turn off your WiFi, you can email depop about it! Hope this helps anyone with the same issue!:).Version: 2.105

Payment should be changedThis app is great, i love to scroll, buy, and sell on here. it’s incredibly easy to post items, and easy to purchase them, too. A feature i really like is the available articles to read that explains different things such as selling tips, money, etc. it makes everything easy to understand. My complaint is the payment processing, it is so frustrating and annoying to have to wait so long after a purchase to get paid. I do this on the side for a little extra money and to clear out clothes i don’t wear often, but when i am selling something for 20$, after fees and everything (which i’m not complaining about cus i know everyone needs to make their money), i make under 20$ that i have to wait 2 weeks from the day for. so unless i sell multiple things a day, i will get paid like a couple bucks every so often. i wish that there was a way it could be paid bi-weekly like a job would be, let the money build up to be cleared altogether or something. I hate looking at my account and seeing my 84$ balance but then seeing in my payments that two days from now i’ll get to have 14$ of it and i’ve got to keep on waiting for the rest, its so frustrating. i wish there was a payday and get it all at once..Version: 2.289

ImprovementsI love this app a lot but there are a few things that need to change. First i think it would be cool if instead of liking something on the app, people could create seperate folders and lists for different things they like, like separating skirts and shirts. It’s also pretty annoying when something I like gets sold and I have to go in and manually unlike that item. It should just be taken out of my list automatically and maybe put into a seperate folder marked “sold” so I know it was sold without having to take it out of my liked list myself. Also trying to sell clothes on Depop is confusing because I wasn’t sure how to add shipping cost, as it’s not included in the listing. I’ve also been scammed on that app multiple times with people claiming to sell certain items with certain photos but the item is actually way different than the actual item because the photos were edited, and when I get the item there isn’t anything I can do about it because some sellers don’t have a refund or return policy. Depop should monitor the photos people put up for sale better because they tend to edit out the backgrounds and put up vague pictures that don’t tell much about the item. And that way people get scammed..Version: 2.305

SuggestionsThe idea of this app is smart and could save people lots of money and help clear out closets; however, I am a little wary of the depop protection after what I recently experienced. I bought an item that never was shipped to me and made sure to wait a decent amount of time after contacting the seller (approximately a month) before contacting depop about it. When I contacted depop they said they would contact the seller and if they did not respond in a few days I should make a claim/start a dispute through PayPal. After a few days and no response, I went to make a dispute; however, I realized that PayPal never sent me a receipt so I did not have a transaction number nor proof through the PayPal app that I made this purchase. Although, looking at my bank account, it was clear that money was taken out of my account through depop. I then called PayPal customer service and was on hold for almost an hour waiting to talk to a real person. The lady on the phone was very nice and helped me get my money back; however, I do think this process could have been a lot easier if depop took it in their hands instead of making their customers figure it out. I also would suggest having a “cancel order” option (like Poshmark) to cancel an order that was never shipped and get money back an easier way..Version: 2.31

WarningApp is great, just warning other users out there. i just got scammed for $160 by a girl who said she would sell me 3 brandy melville items. i should have seen the signs because she said she couldn’t send me pics of the items bc they were already in their packages. she wanted me to pay her through paypal and not depop, which i did and since then she has deleted her account meaning she has no intentions of sending me the items i paid $160 for. it’s a great app, so many nice people just watch out for scammers i dont want anyone else to have this happen to them 🥺.Version: 2.91

Depop appOk i’ve been using this app lately for a little side hustle and it is amazing. super fast and easy process for shipping out the items and posting them. only inconvenience is how much they take out on your sale. for example, if you sell something at 100$ they take 23$ + the taxes wich is almost 1/4 plus, you have to pay shipping with the remaining money, wich is why I give it 3 stars..Version: 2.290

Insanely slowGreat for buying and selling vintage clothes, but genuinely the slowest and clunkiest app I have *ever* used. It also drains my battery like crazy. Not sure why it’s like this because I’ve never had this issue with similar apps like Poshmark or Etsy..Version: 2.306

App is becoming unusable on iPhoneMy Depop app is currently up to date on updates but is becoming almost unusable on my iPhone. It’s seriously lagging, glitching and overheating my phone. Like the app but needs some updating!.Version: 2.280

GLITCHY!!SUPER glitchy on IOS 16. Things constantly left loading forever. I can only click on up to four listings before it starts lagging and loading forever, and then giving up and saying somethings wrong. Super super annoying, everything else on my new phone works fine, but I CONSTANTLY close and open and close and open this app to get it to work for 5 minutes at a time. I hate it so much..Version: 2.219
