Rural FM approvesSome of my patients have alarmingly poorly controlled diabetes. I'm a youngish family med doc and don't feel super comfortable managing patients whose A1cs just refuse to dip below 12. The nearest endocrinologist is 80 miles away, though, and many of my patients don't trust the system and aren't going to go to anyone but me. Flattering but frustrating.
