Skeptical at first, but no issues so farI was skeptical about this app due to the abundance of recent negative reviews. After downloading the app and completing the registration myself, I can only conclude that the issues others experience are due to user error, incomplete setup of initial patient info by their doctor’s office, or incomplete instructions provided by their doctor. I had no issues with signup and login. All information that I had already provided to my doctor was available. My pharmacy on file with my doctor’s office was already set up for me. It was honestly a breeze. Moderately good appIt lets me get to my information fairly well. However, when inputting things in the family history section I needed to check another app on my phone to make sure I had the right words and each time it threw away my place so I had to start over. I know I didn’t save it yet, but it shouldn’t, just for me putting the app down and grabbing another one. Throw what I’m doing away, in my opinion. He did this a lot while I was inputting my data. When I originally opened the app, I found all my personal data to be there and it was correct. I had previously completed an online pre appointment questionnaire from my home computer, on my medical office site prior to my first visit. All the data transferred correctly. After the exam, the Portal contained all the doctor's exam notes, etc.

I had a significant problem reached out on line to the office very early in the morning, I received a call back from the staff even before the office was opened and they were extremely compassionate and got me in immediately. Question/recomendationI try to use the App with an iPhone 12 and hearing aides connecting via Bluetooth. However with the current version of the app I have not been able to get the Bluetooth to link. It seems the app only accesses the speaker on the iPhone and the only way for me to hear is to turn the speaker gain to near max and to do the same for my hearing aides.
The higher gain settings cause some distortions and amplifications of unwanted noise. Can the app be modified to access the iPhone Bluetooth link through my hearing aid app/link? Using it this way it is difficult to hear the Dr..Jime1948Version: 7.9.0
Multiple Practices a PainI have two different physicians from two different practices who use this app. Switching between the two is not easy for intuitive. You have to logout of the current practice, change the URL, then login to the new practice. Since the practice URL is not part of the username/pwd, it is easier to make all the passwords the same across practices (security non-no) to enable password manager auto fill. GlitchedI can’t review because I am in a loop trying to reset my password. I request the email and click on the link. The link takes be to the App Store to load the app I already have but no help with the password. I should have known it would be a problem after spinning the dials for my date of birth when requesting a password change. I had it on ‘11” but “10” is what is put in the date field. Address EditI’ve started using this app because my doctor’s office requires it. It was great until it wasn’t. Please allow your doctor’s office to edit or clarify their physical address. I spent good 20 minutes going to the location however, there is hospital and 2 other plazas at the listed address. App Editing is Hit and MissThis app has several issues. One is that adding a pharmacy will take the new pharmacy information, but not allow it to be saved. There is no option to go to the next step. Glitchy and frustratingEvery time I go to use this app, I run into some sort of issue. I have 2 accounts, my children’s and mine. There is no ability to switch accounts. You have to log out and log in. But then for some reason the password I use (password manager) is always wrong, and the website and app don’t match up in my password manager, (I’ll get it reset one place, but it’s never the correct one when I go back) so I end up locked out (5 incorrect attempts) and have to call my provider, no way to answer security questions to do it yourself. I need a message my provider for a morning appointment, but I’m locked out, so I can’t even call to reset. When I try to use the reset link (before I got locked out) it just wants to open the app on my phone or download some weird file. Then when I do finally get it to work, the birthdate scroller is messed up, and subtracts one day, so if I want to put in the 2nd, I have to scroll to the 3rd. Next there was no way for me to upload photos through the phone app, if I remember correctly, there is no option to pick files. I have to log into the web version of the app, when all my photos are on my phone, super annoying.

Not as good as MyChartMy dermatologist uses the APPatient app while my family doctor, urologist, and orthopedic doctors all use MyChart. MyChart allows me to scan my insurance cards, and shows my vaccines, prescriptions, lab tests, etc. MyChart also links up to my fitbit, veriosync, and Withings accounts so it tracks my daily steps, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar. As you can see MyChart is a much more useful app than APPatient. I finished copying all of my prescriptions into APPatient. I selected my pharmacy Kroger in Marysville, OH and it showed the pharmacy location on Google maps but it was unable to save the pharmacy as my preferred pharmacy.
I had entered all of my prescriptions into APPatient. When I showed up for my appointment the receptionist had me fill out all of my prescriptions on a paper form. I asked her why the paper copy since I had entered all my prescriptions into the app. She said that none of my prescriptions were showing up. I opened the app and showed her that all my prescriptions were there. She claimed that the app rarely works. The dermatologist Dr. Koriann Reed also told me that the app is very poor. It only really works for billing. She agrees that MyChart is a much better app but her practice uses APPatient..Engineer DavidVersion: 7.2.0
Expressly NOT interested in their customers who are the PatientsOtherwise routine app interaction but doesn’t work w my Mac, just the phone. And, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Practice links on the phone don’t work. So I read those ouside the and learned they have a host of advertising partners who receive cookies (HIPPA compliant parameters)but that you may opt out by sending an email to their support. I did.
Separately, I sent a message about the glitch with their links and that I look forward to a version that’s compatible with Macs. Modernizing Medicine’s response was that they don’t offer support to patients but I should take up my concern with my provider. As if the doc or her office treat software problems, or there’s time in my visit to discuss it.

Problem with multiple providersI have app downloaded for ENT. My dermatologist uses it now, too, and it doesn’t let me see her on the app. I have to click the link to add her, and it will pull just her information up. I even made the login and password the same for both. If I get out of her link to the app and just click on the app, I only see the ENT. I literally have to go to the link from my dermatologist in text message to get into her information…so, I can’t delete her text.
Tried googling answer to add other provider so I can be in app and just scroll to select which one, but there isn’t any information out there for patients. The app developer site came up in the search, so I clicked to find it there, but there’s nothing there for it. Then, I tried clicking “Contact” while on their site and it says if you’re a patient, you have to go through your provider! Can not use.After I was unable to get in to the website on my iPhone, (logging in merely gives me a set of curly braces on a black page) I was told by my provider that Safari wasn’t supported. This is somewhat infuriating considering it’s the second most used mobile browser at 30% market share this year. However, they offered an alternative in this app. Okay, annoying to have to download yet another app for something that should just work as a webpage, but I can manage. Downloaded the app. Logged in. Got prompted to agree to the ToS and privacy policy. Clicked on them to read them. Nothing happens. Restart the app, log in again, try clicking again. Nothing happens. Not useful for more than one providerI am a huge fan of medical apps to make is easier to check-in, see appointments, results, etc. This one is so disappointing because I have 2 different service providers who use this service, but the app doesn’t support the capability to toggle between 2 different medical organizations/providers.
When you open the app, it always defaults to the one you used last. In order to change to the other provider, I have to go lookup their URL to paste it into the field. It’s too many steps to get the URL and login info for the 2nd provider in to be able to access the right portal.
With other medical apps, I’m able to link multiple providers, login with one set of credentials and toggle between providers. Not this one, which makes us not worth using for more than one provider. Very disappointing..Spish67Version: 7.9.0
UselessI followed the instructions for logging on to the app. It did not matter since even after following the directions, I still got an error:
This error had to do with the system generated email that directed me to log on before my appt. The problem was a broken link in the log on email. The link does not take me to the log on page of the app. It drops me back in the App Store (Apple device).
Fortunately, I am technically savvy enough to know how to get into an app. However once I was there, I encountered my second error. I returned to an email that my doctor’s office sent me that contained my UserID, as well as the name of the practice’s URL I was able to copy and paste the URL that designated my doctor’s office in order to enter it without any typos. Using the practice url, along with my last name and birth date resulted in another error. I thought to take a screen print of the page with the error but I cannot insert it here.
Developer should take NOTE and get it fixed, so it isn’t a problem in the future.
The resulting error message said:
A server with the specified HOST name
could not be found.
That is the point at which I decided to cut
my losses. If my doctor’s office doesn’t see me because I didn’t get logged on to an app used for telehealth (which I have no intention of using because an orthopaedic doctor needs to be hands on look at a person and determine what hurts and why) then it is time for me to find a new doctor!!
I am leaving this review since it is the only way I could communicate with the app’s developers. I could not get on it so have no other experience but what I have included here..K9loverkjkVersion: 7.6.0
The worst “medical” appThis app doesn’t play nice with multiple providers, there’s no way to switch between them. And once you get stuck in that loop, it’s impossible to figure out which one is which—it messes with your login credentials and basically you’re never able to log in. Even once I figured out which, separated the logins and reset both passwords, I made it a point to only use the app for one provider, it still won’t let me log in. It’s completely frustrating! Trying to get help with password resetHaven’t really used this APP since I set up the portal, but so far, it doesn’t work. My password from my initial portal set up wasn’t working, so tried to use “forgot password”. Got auto response that an email would be sent to me, which I got. Tried about 4 times to get the usual instruction to reset, but every time I clicked on the link that was sent to me, as instructed, that emailed link took me to the APP page, not a password reset page. And, I’d get a page that required my password again. Can’t use the original password which I found in the meantime, and I can’t set up a new one to log in.

Very Poor AppThis app would not let me sign in and locked me out at the first attempt to sign in. I had to the call doctor’s office to get my account unlocked to sign in. Also, I tried to replace my old pharmacy (Walgreens) with CVS. It looks simple enough. I first deleted Walgreens. Then I clicked on the “add pharmacy” option and the app brings up a list pharmacies. After I click on the radio button to add CVS as a pharmacy, it does not do anything. Also, my allergy information is missing from this app. It is going to take a lot of time for me to add all my allergies. Did anyone at my doctor’s office do any testing before imposing such a poor app on its patients? I have two other apps with other medical groups and those apps are excellent! Bad patient user experienceGlitchy and out-of-date. No character count listed on “describe detailed symptoms “ text input and error msg is “too long” when typing more than a sentence. Had trouble signing up/in as a new patient. There’s no new patient/existing patient selector when you try to set up an appointment without an account. When that was finally sorted, I got an automated text saying I needed to download this mobile version of this app and pre-check in for my appt the following day. After installing the app and setting up credentials, it errored stating the download text info was out-of-date, so I cannot pre-check in. No clear way to add insurance informationI’m going to sound like a boomer but I’m so tired of needing apps for every little thing. This app seems pretty poorly designed on the UI side. I didn’t see anywhere to add insurance information while I was checking in. It just said I didn’t have insurance. Then after I checked in, I went and looked at my profile and everything and there was no way to add any insurance information. When I updated my address, despite hitting continue or whatever the button to advance was, it didn’t save any of that information. Seems like the app was quickly and poorly designed. App or Doc’s Office?I don’t know if the issue is with the app, or the Doctor’s office not providing accurate information to sign in. I’ve installed the app, and it just keeps taking me to the password screen, but I have no password. I tried entering one, thinking perhaps I’m supposed to choose one, but nothing. I clicked on forgot password, but same issue, it’s like this infinite loop, no matter what is done, I end right back at the login page, not having our knowing any password. Did the doctor’s office fail to send accurate info due to poor IT personnel, or did the app give bad info for the doctor’s office to send? Works ok but unnecessary as a requirementSuppose if you had a number of providers using this system it would make sense but for just one place it is the definition of forcing a solution. Nothing about the app suggested something that would be hard to do on a mobile website and instead, it’s one more place to have to enter login info and manage.
Once signed in (which is a bit clunky but not terribly so), it works pretty much as expected. The UI has some quirks along the way or perhaps it’s just my provider setting up strange questions, but made it all through. Suppose i’ll have to reinstall it again next year again..Ted S27Version: 7.5.0
Terrible clunky appThe app continuously either logs out or restarts from the beginning, requiring the user to reenter all the info again. For example I went to get my cc for payment. Took less than 60 seconds and it restarted the process. Same when I went to get my med bottle. Also would not allow me to add a pharmacy even after finding the pharmacy. And at one point stopped my registration and gave me an error that said “low memory, cannot continue”. However it just reset the process and allowed me to continue (while also requiring me to input all my data again). Needs a major upgradeBoth the app and the website need a major update. I can’t message my provider on either platform. When you type in your providers name or the name of the location you’re trying to reach, nothing happens. There’s also no drop down option so that you can select it vs typing it. Also there’s no way for you to see an after visit summary on either platform. Please fix this, I don’t want to call the office every time I have a minor question, I should be able to simply message my provider. After several disastrous experiences I do not allow apps to update themselves without permission. When I went into the App Store to check for updates on my apps I saw one for APPatient, which I’d never heard of. Fearing some kind of scam, I wasted time searching for APPatient on my phone and even calling my doctor’s office, only to find out it’s basically second verse, same as the first.

UselessThis app is useless if you cannot login. Dozens of complaints in the reviews. The creator responds that they will “look into it” which is a lie since the same login problem still exists. If you go to reset your password, you get an email with a link that loops back to the login page. No way to reset the password. No way to access the app. No fix from the creator. Shameful. Would give it zero stars if that were an option. Oh, and if you click on app help? You get an information page with no app help. Doctors need to ditch this pointless app. What are they paying for? Just wondering when you will actually do something about resetting passwords. If I spend the time to make sure the URL for my provider is perfect. Then enter my information. Can't Reset PasswordPassword reset link was sent to my email, but it doesn't take me to a password reset page. It just forces the app's store page to open (here in the app store). It makes no sense. I can't access important information because the link is messed up and there's no way to contact app support.
I've tried uninstalling the app, but that doesn't work. I've tried copying the link and pasting it into different browsers, still doesn't work.

Horrid appDifficult to login. The app tells you to copy the URL, but when you do so it tells you to delete characters that are part of the URL.. Once you finally figure out how to login, you will find that the app itself is missing things every other similar app has—the ability to print . This app is so bad that I called today to change my dermatologist to another practice that uses MyChart app. This app just cost my doctor another patient, and his nurse says I’m one of many. Ms Laura BrownDr Gu at my first visit seemed to be thorough making sure he got all images,etc. but after he received my MRI he did not disclose to me the extent of why I was in excruciating pain. Severe spinal stenosis is my diagnosis and he figured that injections would relieve the pain. After the first injection only made me worse I refused more injections and he discharged me still without disclosing my real condition. I sought further help from an orthopedic doctor who said I need surgery immediately or I’d be in a wheelchair. What doctor (Dr Gu) does that. DO NOT TRUST DR YAOMING GU WITH YOUR HEALTH. Useless & frustratingI truly dislike this app. It never works. It ask me to set up an account every time I log in, or it will tell me my password is incorrect when it’s a saved password.
When I ask to change my password it sends me a link, when I click the link it sends me to the App Store to open the app. When I opening it takes me back to the log in page, and the cycle continues. Incredibly frustrating.

Can’t find a way to create an account!I received a text message from my dermatologist about my upcoming appointment with a link to download this app. I managed the download with no problems, but when you open the app, it states that before you can login, you obviously need to sign up for an account to get login credentials. Where it says “Read More”, every time I tap it, it doesn’t respond. A Google search has been absolutely useless in trying to find a way to sign up for account either. Doctor’s office need to educate betterThe app is basic, but allows our patients to do what they need to - update health records, view appointment data & contact us/send images if necessary & engage in Telehealth visits. The experience via the app is much smoother than via the website. There are many steps on the “back end” that a doctors office needs to do to make the patient’s experience more seamless - i have a feeling most don’t do this.
Need to add basic things like attaching images, filling requests for insurance card images, etc.

Hate this appIf I could give them zero stars I would. I have not been able to get into this app from two different doctors at all. Set it up and then it won’t take my name or BD and locks me out. Says contact doctors office to unlock yet no one can seem to figure out how to do that. How am I supposed to use an app if it never works? Date of Birth IssueOne of my physicians uses this app so, I downloaded it and created an account. The app is unusable for me because I refuse to scroll backwards 64 years just to enter my date of birth. They don't allow you to enter it manually and every time you try it brings up a calendar that defaults to the current date. I'm sure that I'm not the only person who has experienced this. So, until the developer changes this issue, I refuse to use it and endlessly scroll backwards to the 1960s.

Poor systemWhile trying to enter45+ years of history, if I touch wrong thing when trying to input info, I get kicked out and the info being inserted is lost and I have to re e get it. This is especially bad when putting in meds for med history. It is consuming a great deal of time and this is info JHCFW has had for many years. Very frustrating and needs to be corrected so if page is lost, one can go back and it. There is no place to include modifications of meds such as when Triamterene75mg/HTCZ 50mg tabs are shown, not allowed to state that I only take 1/2 tab daily..TinycottonVersion: 7.4.0
Worst app ever!I got an email that a bill was ready. Tried to log into the app and evidently I didn’t remember the password I used. I click the forgot password button. Answer all the questions. A password reset email was sent. When I clicked the link and n the reset email. It takes me to the App Store to open the app I already have. When I open the app it’s on the login screen that I started with. I’ve tried several times and it keeps sending me in circles.

Locked outI had a user name and password for this app that worked fine in the past, but when I tried to log in for my upcoming appointment it didn’t recognize it. Tried using the reset my password feature but the link from the email took me right back to the pre filled in old “wrong” password and said login failed. I could not remove the old password from the password field, even tried closing and reopening the app completely to try again… no luck. Locked out. Was told to call doctors office. Sheesh. DisappointedThis App is very limited what you can do. You can’t view your payments made through the App (I have to request a receipt at the Doctors office), and when you tell the receptionist about this they don’t want to even look into trying to fix it. You can’t schedule an appointment. You can only view your upcoming appointments. You can pay for your upcoming appointment with no receipt. Add medications that you’re allergic to. Password reset???? Non existent loopI have tried for 2 days to set up my account. They Give you a user name clinics practice id but no password ?!!!? Not even a temp one. So you got to sign in bu tv you Can’t because no password. You try to reset password what fires it do send an email saying use this link your to reset. Ask great EXCEPT link takes you back to the app starting login screen Where you need your password to login. WHO designed your app?? Obviously this is a big problem making app worthless to use. Very poor onboardingI use a password manager and set complex passwords. The app offers no guidance to what it will accept. The browser link to “change” the password, which is also used to set an initial password, doesn’t work from the computer only the phone. That’s because it browser link opens the app on the phone. God forbid you have to switch to the password manager to copy the password because that throws you back to the beginning of the process. All because it would not accept my original complex password.

WorthlessClinic sent me a link to download the app, that worked. They then sent me another link to finish the set up and login process…that just sent me back to down load the app from Apple App Store again, no login or nothing just redownload the app. Pointless. If an app can’t get its clients to get their own clients to utilize this app…then this app is pointless, no use for it, waste of time and money. I suggested significant resources need to be funded to teach their corporate clients on how to utilize this app properly and fix the bugs asap before this app goes bye bye in the huge bin of garbage/neglected apps..TexDakotaVersion: 7.0.0
Completely UselessThe app asks for a password that I never set. Then it offers to send me an e-mail link to set a new password. But the link in the email takes me right back to the App with no tab or other link therein to reset the password. I tried it four times before concluding it simply doesn't work.
I'll be letting my physician know that this app is completely worthless and reflects poorly on her practice.

Worst InstructionsOf all the medical apps I have downloaded this has the worst details for how to load online to start. I keep getting locked out for this app because I have to spend time figuring it out and I know how to use computers. When I write instructions I write like I was teaching early elementary/middle school. So now I have to wait to get to the doctor’s office to get this unlocked and they have to keep entering it for me.
