I just download it and it seems to be very practical, easy to use, practical and accurate I like the fact that you can increase manually the tip percentage %. It doesn’t jump to ALL these advertisements before allowing to give the tip % the previous one I had was a disaster u had to go thru all the commercials in order to get to the calculator. Thanks

Excellent calculator in my view. Am impressed by no adds and the simple interface. Only thing I would request would be for the percentage number to remain at the last used rate upon reopening the app. I always use a 20% rate, and when I open the app the next time, it “defaults” back to 15% requiring me to adjust the rate back to my preferred 20%. No biggie but all in all a wonderful tool.

I just installed this app because I’m bad with math, especially when giving tips. What I like about this app is I just put the total and then move the slider left to right, and it calculates how much tip I need to give, for example, for 15% no ads, and it’s fast and quick so far. I love it.

This app is very fast and as accurate as you could want. Gives me confidence in giving the best tip for the service given.

This application makes it easy for me to figure out percentages. I never was good when it came to percentages.

I just wish it had a feature for splitting the bill with others

Great tip app.

This app makes it quick and convenient to access the proper tip amount. It would have been nice to have had the option of entering the number in your party so that if tips were to be split amongst several people it could quickly calculate that as well.

TL;DR for everyone: avoid. This app used to be decent, not good, decent. Is currently plagued by ad bombardments that span from fraudulent “your iPhone is infected” to adult material in ads. Actual review: I have had this app on my phone for years. It’s been my go to for calculating tips. While it hasn’t been perfect (tips were either calculated too highly or low) it was still close enough to warrant ignoring the issues. Over that time I started noticing the out of the way banner ad started to get more obnoxious but, as a banner, could safely be ignored. Sometime in the last year, full screen ads (like you see pop up in mobile games) started appearing. While I genuinely despise this style of advertising, I know bills need to be paid, I get it. Over the last six months however, I started to randomly get adult ads when opening the app. This. Should. Not. Happen. The first time I came across this was (of course) in a public restaurant. That can be genuinely embarrassing and cause a slew of problems for anyone using the app or witnessing it from a distance. Once I got an adult ad for a third time at a restaurant, I started calculating manually and decided to wait and see if things got better. Today I was greeted with a full screen ad “warning” me that my phone is “infected” and needs to have an app downloaded to fix it. That’s the final straw for me. As someone who works in technology, this app has become predatory. If I could give it a zero star rating I would. Fix this. Vet your advertising partners better. To anyone who is considering using this app. Don’t. Find something else.

Nice app. I used it for a long time. I didn’t mind the ads. But lately when you click on the app it switches over to Japanese ads that you can’t get out of. Sorry I don’t read Japanese and it doesn’t give you the option to ‘x’ out of the ad. So I had to remove the app from my phone. Deleted.

I had this app for months abd suddenly when i was trying to use it to round up a tip at a restaurant it kept sending me to a full page add dor some scam. I exited and come back to app after resetting phone’s cache and still did not allow me to use app and instead sent me to a website selling me something. After writing this review i am permanently deleting this app!

Lately an add pops up before I can use the all and takes up the entire screen, and won’t go away. Can’t use the so I’m deleting it.

I had use this app for several years on all my other iPhones and I really liked it, however, it does not work with my new phone. I will come back and change the star if you can fix this. Unable to change the percentage from 10%

Every time I use this app in a restaurant or diner, I would get blocked on the screen very hard to get rid of a scam saying that a charge has been put on my Apple account. Stay away from this app for your own good.

Unfortunately the ads that now pop up cover the entire screen. There’s no way to dismiss the ad, rendering the app completely unusable

Wasn’t expecting ads after reading another review. Ads are ok but the very first ad that popped up was for adults material.

This is by far the best Tip Calculator I’ve seen. It’s perfect in every way… except for one thing. The annoying adds. I noticed many complaints about the adds in the reviews, and couldn’t help but wonder why Tim O’s Studios dosen't take notice and come up with an add free paid version. The only reason I can think of is maybe there’s a much bigger profit in a free app with adds than a paid app without adds. So you’ve got to ask yourself, what’s really most important to Tim O’s Studios? Consumer satisfaction or the bottom line?

It works fine but it should have an ability to change the default top amount to what every you like
