Being over 50, I wanted a calculator whose buttons and display would be large and easy to read without reading glasses. This app fits the bill. My only complaint is, the division and multiplication symbols are on the left, which is different from most other calculators, which slows me down and/or causes keying errors, since I often have to make multiple calculations quickly. It would be nice if both calculator apps and "real" calculators had standardized key positioning like alpha keyboards do!

I bought a couple other calculators -- the screen were crowded with functions I just don't ever need and, to make things worse, the advertisements were constant and sometimes wouldn't allow the calculator to function until the "ad time" elapsed. This one is pure-T perfect. Sure, if you're a scientist of an engineer, you might need one of the other ones, but I'm not and having unused functions on the screen is a waste of space. This one is great across the board.

I compared the TOP 10 calculators, and this is THE VERY BEST CALCULATOR APP... IF you're looking for the following qualities: 1) BASIC, SIMPLE 0-9 +-x ONLY...without all of the "Bells & Whistles" (I think the geeks call those "Scientific Calculators"?) Simple! Simple! Simple! 2) THIS CALCULATOR OPENS INSTANTLY! In my opinion my calculator should be there, READY to do a quick calculation, so I can continue my work seamlessly without delays. Waiting for a BASIC HELPER-APP to open, while deep in my work, TOTALLY breaks my train of thought. (MANY of the highly-downloaded calcs that I compared took 15-THIRTY SECONDS just to OPEN! That's like a LIFETIME when you are on a roll, working. Completely unacceptable. 3) !!!!!!!!NO ADVERTISEMENTS!!!!!!!! (However, even if there WERE ads, and I was offered the option to pay $.99 to remove them, I would TOTALLY pay the $.99. It's THAT good of a SIMPLE CALCULATOR! 4) VERY EASY ON THE EYES.

This is a great no frills calculator and is big enough for 60 plus eyes. Deleted the one that came with iPad Air. My one small but is that bright red background of the "C". It is just like the red notifications on FB or Messenger or Mail!! Drives me crazy. Every time I would open iPad, I'd for a split second, think I had notifications. Had to move it off home page so I now have to swipe to use it. Change it to some other color or give us a choice.

Has everything I need. Percentages, square roots, basic math. I had one with trig functions, which was overkill. Trig was the only class I ever failed in high school, so cosines and tangents are not useful for me. And so far it hasn't shown any ads. (I don't mind an ad placed discreetly, but the first two iPad calculators I tried had banner ads at the bottom with lights moving around the borders – very very distracting. I also wouldn't mind paying for simple calculator app like this to keep it ad free

I have had no problems with the Ap,even though at one time Apple wanted it removed and replaced because of potential security issues. I looked for other Ap's, but none of them were as satisfactory as this is. The others had a ton of advertising I had to go through, so they were uninstalled. I was never a Apple Type Computer user, but I am changing because so far, their security is the best I have worked with so far!

I have used many online calculator App’s. This one is; by far my favorite. It just seems to be the most user friendly and easy to use. I also LOVE the larger button keys! The older that I get it seems I desire and.... yes NEED this to be a true and useable option. It seems like it is a real NEED FOR ME at this point. I been using this calculator app for several years now. It's stays on my device even after resetting or reformatting my device it's a must have for my device. I tried others in the beginning of my search, this was the winner for me. Simple uncomplicated and no hassles or stress. It gives me all that I need in a qualified but simple calculator for my needs. It also don't seem to be "taxing" on my device that I noticed. Great job developers, thanks!!!

I've tried the other two top calculator apps and this one is by far my favorite. It doesn't lag while computing like one of them, and you don't have to toggle screens for basic button applications. Aside from that it utilizes the watches haptic feature which helps to feel when you've selected a number. The plus, minus, etc. is highlighted in blue to let you know what you've selected as well.

Basic and easy to use I’d give 5 stars if the tap the star thing worked- then today I use it and my phone starts talking!!! After I left the app! I get back to it to see what’s happening and it’s running an ad and apparently it doesn’t care what else you may be doing at the time. You better tell me this is a bug or I’ll start looking for another calculator Phone was defective and replaced. Now seems to work right again

Love this calculator! Use it mostly in landscape mode. Full screen, easy to see and use, and ads are present, but not obnoxious, being seen across the bottom of the screen. Highly recommend for basic tasks/day to day use. Not sure why only three stars showed up, as definitely a five star app! No changes in the past two years per app developer website, but doesn't need any! Thank you!

I have an iPad from the Flinstones era. When I finally got a new one, I had to have this calculator app since this is what I had in the old iPad. I love how it’s simple, none of that scientific stuff that causes my brain to want to jump out of skull. Nice little ads on the bottom that don’t interfere with anything. It’s appears crisp and large and my old eyes can actually see it without reading glasses. Love this app!

I like this app because it’s by far the easiest calculator app I’ve had and used. It’s just simple. All I really need an app like this to do is add subtract times and divide. This does it and I don’t have to deal with all the extras. I’m giving this review right now because I just needed to do some adding and bam there’s my answer. I’ve used this several times now and I’m always pleased with the ease.

This is almost perfect for the Apple Watch. My only gripe is that the effect when pressing a number button is hard to notice, since the keys have to be small to fit on the small watch screen. Would give 5 stars if the number button press effect was more prominent, clearly identifying which number is pressed. This would clear up mistakes and let me slide over to the right number, rather than clearing and starting over.

OK, the Apple Gestapo decides we don't need a calculator and leaves it out of included apps. So now we must look for a simple replacement for light, everyday use. Thanks a lot, Big Brother! Luckily, after passing on the for-pay & ad-annoying calculator apps, I found this one. Simple, easy, no ads or in-app purchases or pop-ups. Fills the void that Big Brother created. A big "Thanks!" to the developer.

I have always loved the layout, simplicity and look of this app. My number 1 recommendation to friends until today. There is nothing I hate more than ADs! I know there never used to be ads in the version I had purchased but suddenly not only are they there but they get in the way if you click too near a bottom button edge. What happened?

Great Calculator! It performs every operation we've ever requested of it. The adjustable screen option is a plus! The display's size option is awesome! We love it! We recently discovered certain other 'goodies' in it, such as the very discrete additional screen field of more options of calculations when in landscape reading mode. All of the above made us easily rate the application as simply: Excellent!

I had Apple’s calculator application and for a month it double digit adding. I could of in the past clicked on something that changed it but I tried to figure out by touching all over the open app and could not locate a setting to change to normal u.s. calculations. This App I installed today and it works like a charm. I love it because it is multi calculator that I can use for Math apps too.

This app is my favorite when I need help with any calculation while away from home. The ergonomic arrangement of numbers, functions, and clear delineation, made this instrument easy to use in a matter of minutes. I felt comfortable and confident using this tool. And unlike the operator, this little powerhouse has never made a mistake.

I had been using another app for years amd then they started popping up ads when I would try amd use the calculator and in the middle of my using the calculator. It got to be very annoying, so I demoted it amd found this one, which is even nicer in size than the other I was using and easier to use. Thank you!

I had downloaded another calculator but found it much too advanced for my needs. All I need to do is add, subtract, multiply, and occasionally divide. This calculator is very easy to use and I really like the LARGE numbers - I have the “fat fingers” problem that comes with age and I have no trouble pressing the number key I aimed for! Thank you.

Love this calculator and I’m fine with the ad at the bottom banner, but some time back, the ads have started popping up and interrupting my work. So so inconvenient. How do I make those full screen ads stop? If they can’t be stopped, I’ll have to uninstall and find an alternative.

I love this basic calculator. Especially the ease of calculating percentages. Need a quick calcualtion for a tip... Just enter the total hit the + enter the 15 or 20 then "%" and it gives you the tip amount, hit "=" and you get the total. All you have to do is enter numbers on yout receipt. Accurate- easy-love it! Do the same when subtracting a percentage for discounts.

I love this because it functions like a simple calculator, for example, featuring the sum after each addition or subtraction. Unlike the way iPhone’s calculator, after their latest update, where it just continues the equation out without totaling, making it take more steps to balance my checkbook.

After searching for just a plain old calculator simple and basic, I found this one. It's a little more classy than I was is looking for. However it turns out it's very easy to use, no algebra or crazy number calculations. Just your every day type of needs. And a little extra. But not much. Perfect for me!

I'm in a hurry to use this app and right now you block me from using it until I write a review. Well defeated fecal matter. Here is your review. The app is great , but the people making it are more interested in their needs instead of the needs of their customer. Get a better business plan.

Thank you for this app! This is perfect for anyone (including the visually impaired) to use with ease. My iPhone came with a pre-installed calculator app. I was surprised that my iPad didn’t come with one. I found this app and enjoyed using this every since I installed it on my iPad. I plan to keep and use this wonderful app for years to come. Awesome!

Apple changed its calculator to accommodate scholars and engineers. Making a simple grocery price calculation became impossible. I don’t know why Apple didn’t give us a choice but I had to delete its calculator and go with this new one. I love it, it is simple and I recommend it to anyone who is not working to build a rocket

Calculators like this one are hard to find! This calc has the functions I need with big bold keys. The setup is attractive and easy to use. I've tried lots of calculators before but I've stuck by this one. I wish I could change the colors around but that's hardly important. If you're in the market for a straightforward calculator, try this one!

This is a fine app. I really don't understand how there would be any misunderstanding of 21 divided by 7 not equaling 3. If the numbers are put in correct, the desired answer comes out. That is USER error and not the fault of the app, or its programmer. That being said, this app is what I was looking for. No ads. Big numbers (old eyes), and a percent key (landscape orientation). Good job.

Great basic calculator. Stable operation. As other reviewers have stated, a basic calculator not cluttered with extra functions is sometimes the best tool. Get rid of the ads, which in an app are ALWAYS annoying and insulting. Charge a sensible purchase price (i.e., license fee) and this app is definitely five star. Maybe add some fun skins that could be extra cost options that would generate extra revenue?

I work with 5th and 6th grade autistic students who are highly distractible. Your calculator is PERFECT for our students to use! There are no annoying or inappropriate ads that pop up as they are struggling to learn and stay on task! BRAVO! It is the best calculator I had ever used and seen in my whole entire life it is the best and it's three I would give this a top rating of five stars so I know some people have calculators on iPhones and iPads also computers Lasley iPods but this one is a great check you later because it can calculate anything so I survive you do get this calculator thank you and enjoy!

I had a calculator on my iPhone that was just stolen and used it daily for my line of work. It was simple and I could figure everything out on it. Now that it's stolen I'm using my iPad as my main unit and phone but, it didnt have a calculator app. I downloaded this one because I need a calculator every 5 mins and this one is identical. It's an awesome but, simple calculator!

I can do most 3 digit figures in my head, but sometimes you just need to have something to figure out multiple combinations. This is great for those everyday calculations that you want to have quick and accurate. Thanks for the simple interface and clean look of this app.

When I first started it years ago, it was awesome! But the last year, year and a half, it has gotten commercial. Seems it’s getting worse as time goes on. It still does what I need without to much problems, yet. But looks like I might have to look around for another sooner rather than later.

I downloaded this little calculator app for my Apple Watch 3. I was pleasantly surprised that it works quite well and is easy to use on the watch. This is definitely a nice basic calculator to use. I search for quite a while and looked at different apps for the calculator And this one hands-down Thank You Florida Les

This is a great simple app and I use it often. I would give it 5 stars if it had a percent % button on the vertical portrait setting of calculator. If you use the wide landscape view there is a % button. I never use the +/- button and agree with another reviewer that it should be replaced when the % button.

I have used a different calculator since I got my phone (years ago). I think it's the one that's automatically there with purchase. Somehow I deleted the app. Was going to use the same one until I saw this calculator. I absolutely luv it!! It's so easy to read and has a 3D effect. Don't plan on ever switching back!🤗

This app is my go-to calculator app. I love the large buttons and accuracy! I typically don’t write negative reviews, but I am very frustrated that the developer would tamper with a good thing by moving to full page ads. Just when I need a quick result, I am greeted by a full page ad, making me figure out where the darn close button is or worse yet opening up the ad. Half of the time, I can’t remember what I was going to calculate in the first place, after the intrusion of a stupid full page ad! This app is easily a 5-star app when it comes to visual layout and functionality. But, it fails when you factor in the ads component. The developer is obviously more intent on making more ad revenue than pleasing their customer base. So, I have reduced my rating to 2 stars. The more I see the full page ads, the more I think about searching for another calculator! Developer - take note! Your decision to move to full page ads to generate more revenue might actually cost you customers which would generate $0 of revenue!

I absolutely loved the simplicity and ease of use for this calculator app. And then, relatively recently, they started interrupting your ability to use it without first looking at super annoying full screen ads. Now it takes longer to use for even the most simple calculations, and is frankly just super annoying. I loved this app for many years, but now I think it’s time to move on. I’d definitely pay a small one-time fee (couple/few bucks) to avoid the ads but until that becomes an option, I’m probably going to seek out a different one that’s either free or let’s me pay to go ad-free. They ruined a good thing.

Have been using this app for about 8+ years. Loved it. Now, not so much. I open it and start to use it and a full page ad pops up. It takes what seems to be 30 secs before I can click out of it. It is so annoying! Used to be noise at the bottom. Now I am searching for a new one. Just can’t take these ads anymore. Hey, I’ll pay .99 for it but PLEASE stop with these ads! There are so many other apps out there so I’m guessing you are driving people away due to this. Please fix this! I’ll check back in a few months to see if things have changed but I am now searching for a new app.

I got this app because I have an iPad, which doesn't come with the standard apple calculator, so I got this one it worked fine for a while but every once and a while it would exit out automatically. It kept happening more and more frequently, until I couldn't even use it any longer! Another reason why this is the worst calculator app is because you can only preform multiplication, division addition and subtraction. It also constantly runs adds at the bottom of the screen which you can't even turn off with airplane mode. I switched to "the calculator" which is a way better calculator with manny more applications.

I despise forced ads that consume screen space. When the developer doesn’t provide a way to eliminate ads, the program is annoying. I’ve tried this a few weeks and I have yet to find a method to block or turn off ads, so I deleted it from my devices. I don’t need more crap on my systems. Goodbye to this program. Maybe I’m missing a link on the site, still ads distract, track, take space I don’t wish to relinquish to an stupid advertisement for a product I don’t want, will not use, utilize service etc. it makes the app feel cheap and over hyped.

Many of these comments are people saying they are happy to just have the basic functions, which I understand. However, The Calculator is better. You can set it to only have the basic functions. You can also choose to display the scientific calculator functions or even a currency translator! Not to mention there are also many themes you can pick and when your device is sideways you can also see your calculation history. Basically, get The Calculator.

I have used this app for over 10 years with no problem. Suddenly started running highly intrusive and interruptive ads. Today I needed to quickly run some numbers while making a deal over the phone. App immediately ran a lengthy ad about a stupid truck game and then locked up. Had to run across the house and get my iPhone. I was fortunately dealing with a patient person, so it didn’t cause a problem this time. No way to pay and avoid ads. I highly recommend against this particular calc app and I will be deleting it myself.

Have had the Calculator App for about two-three weeks, with the C button instead on a back key button, that the Apple calculator app did away with. Just a nice simple, button in the right spots. All of sudden today, an Ad pops up! Never did since I downloaded the app, until now. And each time I would go back to use it for a quick thing, and the ad comes up each time, before I can touch a button. So what did is what I do when I get interrupted with an Ad, is delete the app. Goodbye...

Been using this simple app for years but recently big ads have been popping up. Shutting down and restarting the app helps with them but I should have to take these extra steps just to use a calculator. Why this decision was made I don’t know but might start looking for another calculator that’s add free (didn’t mind the banner ones on the bottom)

I was using this calculator all the time. I work in a hospital and sometimes need to calculate a dose of medication for pediatric patients. I started doing it today and suddenly my phone started running an ad for something totally unrelated. I couldn’t stop it, it was loud and totally embarrassing as I was standing in a front of the patient it his family. I will look for another option for a different calculator. It’s totally unacceptable.
