AIPretty sure AI is now the culprit behind not letting users get past certain levels. At which point there are no balloons that pass to watch ads for boosters and there are also no boosters available to get when you watch ads at the end of a unbeaten level when events like the All Stars comes around. I am quite certain that not all the “users” are real, especially in the tournaments, they are there just to make it look like you’re behind someone sporadically throughout the game play so that you will buy more gold bars, boosters and etc just to get ahead. If you pay once for gold bars the option to get boosters by watching ads never come up again, also the random ballon that would cross on the main part of the app, non existent after paying for boosters. Also the Candy Royale should not even automatically start if don’t have any lives left, what’s the point. Speaking of which, boosters that have a timer should only count down when you are actually playing, and stop when navigating around in the app. Any game that you are forced to buy boosters just to pass to the next level is a money grab. They make you wait 30 minutes after you have used the 5 lives just to get one hoping that you will buy more to continue. If anything it should be another full set of five lives after 30 minutes at least. Don’t buy into it! Don’t feed their greed. This game has become a total scam. Impossible. A Literal Gamble.I am not a person who goes out of their way to write any kind of review (positive or negative) for any game or app, but if you are reading this before downloading this game, abandon any hope of finding any fun or appropriately challenging game. Level 155. Thats how far I got when I realized that I was not playing any strategy game at all. Level 155 is literally IMPOSSIBLE to beat on your own, you have to buy boosters if you do, otherwise just wither your lives away until literal chance lets you win, the boards are not made for you to win with the amount of turns they give you and even with some of the upgrade you’ll get the WORST starting set up possible EVERY TIME. The game is supposed to have you win on sheer strategy, after all, why would they give you x number of moves if someone hasn’t proven beat it in those moves or less?? But you literally have to keep trying until you somehow happen to get the right candies dropping through, not until you figure out the best strategy for the goal. And don’t even get me started on the “hints,” i played 5 games following JUST the hints, which are supposed to help you win eventually right?? Not. Even. Close. The game literally takes ANY combination of candy, regardless of the goal of the level, and tells you to try it. It’s annoying because at that point they just want to derail you, and that defeats the whole purpose of it. Don’t get this game. Good game but levels are poorly designedOnce you get well into the hundreds of levels (120, 140...) the levels start becoming hopelessly difficult. I got stuck on one level that requires like 10 bombs and 10 stripes, only gives you 13 moves, and has only 4 small (4x4) isolated places to work in. On top of that two of those places almost never have any moves in them. I tried with maximum power ups until I ran out, I still fell abysmally short. In total I probably died 100 times on the level and don’t expect I would ever pass it. I’m seasoned in these kind of games, playing Bejeweled and Zookeeper more than I would ever want to admit over the past decade, so I don’t miss good moves and am very good at manipulating the board (thinking ahead). But on this level often you only have one or two moves total anyway, which makes thinking ahead useless and turns the game into a “let’s see if I can flip s coin 20 times and get heads every time” game (actually that game would be easier to win). I even had hints turned on (which I hate) to make extra sure I never missed any opportunities. Clearly the design of this game is to eventually have people pay $10 per level when they get far enough in the game (power ups and extra lives). No game is worth spending money continuously to keep playing it. I was winning in my little weekly competition (and it’s Sunday, the day it ends), but I still uninstalled the game because some levels require a 1-in-14-million luck anomaly (even with maxed power ups) to pass. Level 1847Not beatable unless you have all the lollipops in the world. There is now way to beat this level without the extras like the spaceship, lollipops, or others. I have the extras like the chocolate sprinkle candies and the fishes and they don’t do ANYTHING to help!! You have to have in app purchases of the extras you can but while playing the game. Not okay! Rigged game. They say this game is fun to swipe the stress away. NOT! This game GIVES you the stress! Days later and still can’t pass the freaking level. I have had all the extras that you check off at the beginning of the game. And it just wastes them. The fish don’t go after the black blocks under the cherries. They do nothing that you really need them to do. Even when you get the black sprinkles with a stripped candy and can play that it STILL DOESNT GET THE BLACK BOXES UNDER THE CHERRIES!!!!!!! Pay to passIf you have extreme patients and don’t mind spending weeks playing the same level hoping they’ll finally let you pass this time, then this game is for you! If you like to actually progress through games in a responsible time line, I would not recommend! The game starts off easy enough. But eventually you start getting hit with levels that are next to impossible to beat without boosters. The first few are on the house and they’ll give them to you for free. But as the levels progress even harder, you’ll find yourself needing more boosters because “I was able to beat that one level with them!” But the catch is you done used your few free ones. If you want to get boosters now you have to PAY! And price is crazy high. $8 to buy 50 gold bars that’ll buy you just 1, and if you pick boosters that are cheaper, you can get 2 for $8! But the cheaper ones don’t work well enough to beat the game level and then you end up spending more to buy more to pass a level. I paid to beat 4 levels, and noticed a pattern and quickly deleted the game. So if you want to pay to pass, this is your game! If you wanna try and tough it out and spend weeks playing the same level, this is your game! Pay to loseLet’s start with me loving candy crush. I’m on level 1,933 I play almost every day. But, there’s so many things that are frustrating for users that want to continue to play the game. DisappointedSorry everyone, I just couldn’t stay silent anymore.. To start, I deleted all the Playx games due to the totally stupid, moronic boards. So I thought let’s go back to candy crush, well it’s gone and there’s all these other candy crush games. Candy Crush Saga is where we’re at. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in the death of candy crush, because all these run offs are a complete joke!!! I love a good challenge, but this game is a total disgrace to all gamers!!!! They have more boards that are so totally stupid and literally impossible to beat unless you get a miracle, like when Jesus rises from the dead on the 3rd day, oh wait sounds like this game. After wasting everything you’ve accomplished on the 3rd day Jesus rises from the dead and you beat the board with no weapons at all. While the game makers get rich from you watching all these ads, you sit there pulling your hair out over the stupidity of the design of the boards. This is from going all the way to level over 1500. It was cool till you get up to about 500, then you get the boards that are just so stupid and unbeatable no matter how much you have in your arsenal, but the game wants to sell you a package that’s 1/4 what you already have. This is typical for the genre of games out there that claim they’re “free” except for the well-known fact that they’re designed to allow the player to only get to a certain level. After that you’re forced to have to use what boosters you have and if you don’t have them you are forced to pay money for more boosters to continue. I have been stuck at the same level for several days but I thought I could get past it without purchasing some boosters. It is clear after multiple attempts that it is not possible without spending money, and regardless of how much of your hard-earned money you spend, there are no guarantees that you be able to advance. It’s only a game, so why do some people spend hundreds of dollars to achieve a high level? Bragging rights, perhaps, or an uncontrollable addiction that King exploits? Why do you think this company advertises on television? TV commercials are not cheap so that’s a testament to the amount of money they rake in. They would have been better off if they sold this game for a few dollars so players could enjoy the game without feeling pressure to spend large amounts of money. Really 🙄First of all, I was writing a really mad review for this and then it just exited me out and deleted everything so if this is harsh I actually have a reason. The first thing is that I’ve been reading other reviews that say that they can watch ads for extra lives and that’s cool and all but like… WHY CANT I!?! Good game but needs to be reviewed on a few subjectsI love this game but it is so annoying when I use the boosters at the bottom (like the red hand, the sucker, the disco thingy that lets out 3 wrapped candies) and they don’t even accomplish what I need to finish the level. Like for example I will have 3 different areas with one jelly in each. And I only have one move left. So theoretically I would use the disco thing that lets out 3 wrapped candies and they SHOULD put each exploding wrapped candy in each area of jelly since you are using a power up it should help you accomplish the goal of the level but more often than not it will maybe put one of the exploding wrapped candies in the area I need it but just puts the other two in areas that don’t help me at all. It’s so annoying especially since it’s hard to achieve those boosters. I’ve seen this problem with Swedish fish and the coconut wheels as well. If it’s not going to actually be helpful then it should let the player choose where the Swedish fish go, or which direction the coconut wheel goes, and where the exploding wrapped candies get placed. I’m on level 700 something and the levels are getting so hard that I need the boosters quite often. But when they aren’t even helpful it’s just annoying. I’ll probably bring quitting the game since I’m getting into the more complicated levels and the boosters don’t even really help. Please fix this issue and I will probably return. I’d really enjoy the game with little to no complaints if so. Also one other thing, I feel like after you complete a level successfully, and you go to replay it. Favorite gameI am a amending my past review. Please note: Candy Crush is absolutely packed with ads. They are constant and MOST of them appear to be scams. Fraudulent ads for games or programs promising free money, but every single one of these is a scam or a phishing program looking to steal info from users. Candy Crush developers clearly have ZERO conscience in their marketing and will promote these ads shamelessly as long as they get paid for it. Again: do NOT click on ANY ads in this game. They are phishing scams. To be honest, it’s the only game app I have besides Scrabble. I have played Angry Birds and occasionally have tried other games but have been playing this quite a while now. I like puzzles and to me this is a puzzle game. You can definitely get better at using the boosters and the design and ingredients in each puzzle. I get the frustrations of some reviewers, but my biggest issue is the constant pop up windows trying to get you to buy something or participate in some extra feature. Some of us just want to play the game. As far as spending money to pass levels or buy boosters, pay attention here: I am on level 13,407 and have never, not one single time, bought anything. I haven’t paid a dime for any extras like boosters or lives. I have been a tick on one level for several months before. I have passed 30 levels in a day before. Still, never cost me a penny. Way too frustrating.I am on level 4000. What I have learned is that every game now takes several days to a week to win unless you pay. I am really, really sick of this. It hasn’t been fun for some time now. I rarely play anymore because of the constant frustration of levels with too few moves and it has become obvious that they intentionally mess with your game so you cannot win. It is not random. Dum dumThis game is dumb, once you get in the 200 levels it all changes to make it so you have no chance at winning unless you use Gold that is impossible to earn to continue. all i can say it was fun till you realize it is just about buying wins ha. If you enjoy feeling cheated, this game is for you.All the negative reviews that you see are true. They make no effort whatsoever trying to hide their deception, their cheating and their greed. Once you get to a certain point, you will not move on until they want you to. They will make it impossible without using boosters that you can pay for or using gold bars for extra moves. They know how long you’ll put up with it and you won’t be able to make a wrong move and you’ll beat a level you’ve been stuck on for weeks without even trying. It’s all an algorithm to extract as much money as possible from you. There will be times that you’ll use a color bomb candy and it won’t clear all the candies that are the color you chose to clear. The striped candy used to be oriented the way that you completed the 4 candy combo, now it’s whatever way they see fit (usually it’ll go the way you don’t want it to go). If you use boosters before the round starts, they will often times make it so that you must use it right away and it will do little to nothing to help you out, making it a complete waste. Quickly becomes pay to winI only played up to level 100 and something because this game quickly becomes hard-to-impossible to play without boosters, which are few and far between without paying. Like, half the board is covered with ice cubes and locks and vinyls and growing chocolates that you need to basically blow up multiple times in order to begin to progress against the board. It’s not really a puzzle game. It really stops becoming a matching tiles game. You are desperately trying to get striped and wrapped candies you can combine to try and beat the board. Often times you have to use boosters which aren’t cheating but it does honestly feel like you’re cheating against the puzzles. When you’re doing “good” at a level you’re basically creating chain reactions of effects and just watching them fizzle across screen passively instead of having fun playing the game. The glitzy lights quickly lose their allure as I became stressed knowing I could only fail a puzzle a certain amount of time before getting locked out from trying again for a while. Oftentimes I would run out of moves in a game just a couple visible moves away from beating a puzzle and be offered a chance to buy a few more moves (not even as many moves I needed to beat the puzzle, but sometimes as few as 5 moves). If you play without doing any in-app purchases like me you are basically heavily relying on the game to randomly give you free boosters or the perfect combinations of tiles so you can build the explosive candies and win. I miss when I could actually play the gameI first downloaded this game in July 2022 and loved it for months. I didn’t play it every day but really enjoyed it. Now however it’s become less and less enjoyable to play it — I barely even GET to play it. I’ve been stuck on lvl 687 for about a week. I don’t want to spend any more money on this game but I have no boosters or gold bars and this level is impossible to beat without them. The funny thing is it’s not even labeled as a hard level. It should be easy but the amount of moves I’m given is nowhere close to being enough for me to beat it. I’m so frustrated. I love this game when I can actually play it, but it’s clear the devs only care about receiving money. Another thing is I’m no longer given the option to watch ads when I run out of moves to help me beat the level. They used to give me it often, then at some point the ads would go black and I’d be given no extra moves, and now the option is completely gone. Giving 1 Star!So despite rarely posting reviews. Digress. So putting this on every one of my games that I see the Candy Crush AD. They’ve lately been popping up on every game I play and they hold you prisoner past the little waiting line at the bottom to watch their stuff….then you try to exit “after” respectfully allowing them to show their stuff and they redirect you out of the game to the App Store so you are forced to escape “everything” to be back at candy crushes candy….and you just stare at it…looking at their candy forever. The other ad’s display a normal decent show and then let you decide yay or nay for now. Candy crush may be desperate. It makes me dislike them. And wouldn’t download there stuff simply due to BAD taste on their part for rigging up a prison hostage to watch there ad. Linking Facebook account does NOT save progress across devices!All of my progress from playing this game for YEARS (and spending a decent amount of $$) is now gone. I normally play on my iPad, but decided to play on my iPhone while away from home. I signed in with my Facebook account like I use on my iPad to play, and everything seemed to be fine. Later, when I went to play on my iPad, I was forced to sign in with my Facebook account which was strange. Normally the app recognizes that I am using my Facebook account to play. After I signed in, I was taken to Level 1, instead of where I left off when playing on my phone. I opened the app on my phone and was forced to sign in again with my Facebook account, and again I was taken to Level 1. All of my progress is GONE. I am so furious! Reaching out to their customer support team is useless. The email response I received was obviously from a bot or AI; the response was about a completely different issue than what I contacted them about. I'm deleting this app. Save yourself the hassle and don't bother downloading it. No Longer Fun, Just A Money Grab…I’ve been playing this game since it was originally released when it was only available to play on Facebook within a browser. Which is longer than a decade at this point but it’s gotten to the point where I no longer want to play. I will get a booster for unlimited lives only to be stuck on ONE LEVEL the entire time. I have used ALL of my boosters & extra lives on one level only to lose them all because I cannot pass the level. The game has become unfair to a ridiculous point. I have been stuck on one level for a MONTH! I’m no longer offered free boosters. I’m forced to exit past a bunch of ads to buy gold bars, which can take up to 2 minutes, after I lose a level which is horrible when I have boosters that are timed. This game used to be fun but if you buy gold bars at any point the game will make it so you can’t win levels without them. Too Many Pop-UpsI enjoy the actual game play, but for every level you play there’s about ten things popping up on your screen in between levels, reminding you about every event and deal and collaboration and whatever they have this week. Often times there’s 2 or 3 or 4 popping up before you have an actual chance to do anything with intent. It’s annoying and I really wish there was the ability to turn it off. This is especially with the Candy Royale thing they’re doing now- it would be cool, if it was actually optional to join rather than giving you no other buttons to push or way to avoid it, and if it didn’t pop up with a giant “You got kicked out” animation after every single time you don’t pass a level. It makes a game that’s marketed as a relaxing way to destress into something extremely frustrating. I enjoy playing, but if this stuff doesn’t change then I’ll stop. It’s not bad once or twice, but the fact that it’s constant is ruining the enjoyment I have, and the Royale animation takes a level that usually would feel like a tough but interesting challenge and makes it feel instead like failure after failure. Gambling app nowPromised myself I’d leave a review warning others if it wouldn’t let me pass another level without trying to force me to buy boosters. It’s become apparent that over the last year that they have try to manipulate players to basically gamble. I will be deleting the app from my phone after this. It must track your spending and really not less you pass a really hard level unless you buy their bars or boosters because you’ve played that level 20x and can’t pass. With inflation price have gone up and they target you harder than ever now. Not what it used to be .I’ve been playing this game for yearsss , since the game first launched in 2012 . Im only on level 1144 now but at one point I was on upwards of level 2500 . I wouldve been higher but I’ve always deleted and redownloaded it without saving my progress because sometimes I would either get stuck on a level for too long or find myself playing for to long but I would always come back to it . As of lately I’ve deleted the game because as you start reaching higher levels the game starts getting harder to a point it’s unbearable , I love a good challenge but even now with the chapter I was in there were 3 legendary levels and all other variations of hard levels with only 2 normal levels , and I can only imagine how it would be in higher chapters . This game is advertised to be a stress reliever game and for a while it was before it was ruined with all the challenges and hard variants of levels . Ads are ridiculous!!What’s going on!! Are you not going to stop adding seconds to the ads!! You starting having the ads last either 15 or 30 seconds in order to earn something to help you pass a level! Then you starting raising it a couple seconds here and there. Then I noticed the John Mayer ad for Sirius XM was lasting 33 seconds!! Now today I noticed a new John Mayer Sirius XM ad and it lasts 36 seconds!! I have played this game for years but I am about ready to delete it!! This is getting old! IssuesIts a really fun and addicting game don’t get me wrong, but I have contacting the company of this app many times using contact us website, but they always clear it up saying “it doesn’t transfer to your ipad!!” Let me tell you my problem. I had candy crush on my phone. I had many boosters and extra lives. (50+ extra lives, 99+ candy bombs, 99+ pink donut things, 50+ striped + wrapped candy, and 300+ gold to be exact.) I played a lot so I can use these things whenever I want without having to worry that I’m low on boosters. But ever since I downloaded candy crush on my iPad, I lost all of it even on my phone which doesnt make sense! HUGE RISE OF IN-GAME PURCHASE PRICE IS RIDICULOUS!I’m a huge fan of Candy Crush. It’s my number 1, go-to, fun app. First, I should say, I do not indulge in most “in app” purchases for boosters or “lives”. If I cannot win a level, I will continue to play with what I’ve got. It’s just not satisfying to advance in a game solely from advantages I’ve purchased versus my own effort. That said, occasionally, I WILL treat myself to cashing out the “piggy bank” of gold bars in Candy Crush so I can buy more “lives”. The bank has always held 60 bars...$2.99 to cash out. That amount alone (assuming I had zero bars reserved to supplement this amount) was pretty reasonable considering I could purchase 5 “lives” for 12 bars. A little over a month ago (possibly closer to 2 months), without a word, the “piggy bank” shrank down to 30 bars...cash out price STILL $2.99!!!! False advertisingFirst I would like to say that initially when I downloaded this game it was great. Slowly it got harder not because I was at a higher level but because they wanted you to spend money. They made it almost impossible for you to continue without spending money. That being said, all of the ads and all the little clips of the game I saw, whether in the App Store or an ad some where, I have never seen those scenarios in the actual game. I downloaded the game because I love the things that I saw on those ads. This is not the only game/app that has false videos or ads, making it look way better than it actually is. Glitch!!I will have almost all full gold bars and it keeps wiping it out! This is the 3rd time it has done this!!!!!!! I have contacted the customer service and instead they send me stupid links that take me to other people’s comments on the game. This game is ruinedThis game used to be very fun. I don’t know if they updated it or something, but now it’s almost impossible to play without buying gold bars and boosters.
