An expressive, matrix-controlled arpeggiator designed to play with your thumbs. Control super fast arpeggios with precision, and apply pitchbend, tremolo, and vibrato with the iPad’s accelerometer.

• "Arpeggionome makes amazing patterns in arrays of pulsing circles" (Peter Kirn, Create Digital Music)
• "A masterpiece in design and functionality" (smitematter.com)
• Rated as the "Most Creative MIDI App" by iPadMusic.com
• "Arpeggionome Pro is a very very powerful arpeggiator that can really take your music to the next level" (Chip Boaz, iosmusicandyou.com)
• "If you like great Arpeggiators, this is it!" (Jordan Rudess)

Design an arpeggio pattern with various knobs and buttons, then move up-and-down the matrix to set its speed, or left-and-right to set its pitch. Tilt the device to control volume and pitchbend, or shake for vibrato. Arpeggionome Pro also features a robust MIDI implementation, allowing you to control other iOS music apps, external gear, and computer software like never before**.

*An arpeggio is a musical technique where notes in a chord are played in sequence, rather than together.

** MIDI input and output is recommended for iPad 2 and later.

Supports MIDI, Ableton Link, Audiobus 3, and Inter-App Audio.

Please note, the App Preview video features Arpeggionome Pro controlling Animoog, an incredible synthesizer app created by Moog. Arpeggionome Pro does a have a built-in synthesizer, but... it doesn't sound as good that :]

Arpeggionome Pro | matrix arpeggiator Positive Reviews

A great take on the ARPThis is just a great overall arpeggio app. Take the time to go through the built in documentation (which was simple but clear) and you will be rewarded with a very useful tool for inspiration and playing music. Or just dive in and have fun. It isn’t hard to get good results in minutes. I used it to run synths on my iPad as well as hooked it up to synths through my DAW on my Mac using USB Midi and it was a joy to use. There are many different ways to make an arp tool. This is one of the more unique ones I have tried and is a welcome addition to my music gear. My only complaint is no AU support. But it is still a 5 star app regardless of that..Version: 1.3.0

Fun, but missing a very basic control option.Had a lot of fun playing with this and showing it to my son, but then hit a brick wall that ruined it for us. I was trying to show him how the Stranger Things theme was made and in setting up the basic arpeggio of C2,E2,G2,B2,C3 I found that it was basically impossible in Arpeggionome Pro. I can set the key to Ionic, the number of notes to 5 and the note pattern to up and down, and the note steps to 2. But that does a pattern of C2,E2,G2,B2,D3, not C3. Just one note off. It’s using steps instead of actually trying to play the chord. And as far as I can tell, there’s no way to specify exactly which notes are played in your arpeggio pattern. You can only control it with the steps and scales. So there’s no way to actually get that exact chord to play. Ironic that Arpeggionome Pro can’t play probably the most well-known arpeggio of the last 10 years..Version: 1.3.0

Update Adds Link and Audiobus 3 SupportA very good arp for live play and can now be easily integrated with other MIDI apps and Link support allows it to easily sync and play in time. The app supports a wide variety of scales, controls for octaves, notes, step distances, playback styles, gate, and velocity. Adding the app to an Audiobus 3 MIDI setup allows you to add MIDI effects to further transform your playing so you can do chords or have multi-timbral setups..Version: 1.3.0

Arpeggi-NationThose with mono synths will appreciate how arpeggios substitute for chords, and this is the best thing for it..Version: 1.3.0

Excellent but doesn’t play well with othersWould really like to use as an instrument in iMPC Pro 2. Or even work with Audiobus 3. But, it doesn’t. Other than that, it’s really really fun to play with!.Version: 1.3.0

Needs new updateI use this all the time. Sounds great with Bose Speakers. But it’s time for an update. Last 1 was 4 years ago. Maybe more colors. Please add all you avid users of this app. Let’s keep this going..Version: 1.3.0

This app has glitchesOne glitch is that when you use Siri assistant while it’s playing it goes really fast way faster than normal..Version: 1.3.0

CrippledThis app is perhaps fun to use and as such, a toy, it’s pretty well designed. Unfortunately, it is seriously crippled if you want to use it for more serious applications. The reason is the lack of ability to create your own scales. Any decent arpeggio generator allows at the minimum a creation of your own scale. This app is missing all 7th chord scales which are a must in any music, same goes for augmented and diminished scales. Yes, you can create some of those by using a chromatic scale and then finding a combination of notes distance but then you are limited only to that very specific note distance (I was able to create a diminished scale this way but that is only because of its symmetrical nature, very hard if not impossible to create 7th scale). In addition, surprisingly the app does NOT offer ability to create arpeggios on the fly based on the notes you press on a MIDI keyboard or the built in keyboard (which is there only to provide visual representation of the arpeggio) - this is something that almost every arpeggio generator has, both software and hardware. All you can control with the incoming MIDI is either changes of patterns or programs, NOT individual notes! I noticed that this developer does not like 7th chords / scales as they are also missing in the Fugue Machine preset scales, but since in Fugue Machine you can input your own notes using chromatic scale, this is not a big problem. Phrygian scale is included but nothing 7th scale (Phrygian scale can be achieved simply by starting on the 3rd degree of a major scale, no separate scale needed). All in all, this app has a great potential but is leaning on the side of being a gimmick, a toy and not a more serious music creation app. Another note, the video included in the Preview above on the App Store is misleading and suggests that the matrix can take multi touch (there are two points in performance matrix and two flashing cross hairs). This is not how the app works, in fact it states in the manual that “when the performance matrix receives multiple touches, only the last touch is active”..Version: 1.3.0

Home Run!If you've skimmed through the other reviews then you already know that this is a very easy to use music creation tool. I can't really say it any better than they already have. But there is something that people are missing. This is also a very good relaxation therapy app. Even if you only use the internal synth you can't help but feel good as you create random patterns that are wonderfully musical. You might stumble upon a progression to use in a song while simply trying to relax. Pick this app up. You won't regret it and it won't be useless by next month. It just keeps giving..Version: 1.0.1

Well worth it...I thought $20 was kind of steep for an arpeggiator, but after about 5 minutes I was very happy I went for it. I love the simple sounds that come with it, but it really shines when controlling my external hardware and even other iOS synths. So many options and different styles make it incredibly versatile and the possibilities are virtually endless! Newly added Audiobus support makes it a no brainer. If you want the best arpeggiator for iOS, look no further! L.R.A.D. Check me out on iTunes.Version: 1.1

Instant joy and plays nice with other appsWell done! This thing was intuitive and useful right out of the box, a great UI that makes it easy to be creative. A nice addition is being able to change the color scheme to make the buttons more readable. Lots of great patterns here, and TONS of user presets to save a gajillion of my own patterns. With virtualMIDI it plays nicely with Sampletank and SampleWiz as well as all the other apps mentioned already, so I can arpeggiate with my own sounds until the cows come home. Nice! Add Audiobus support and I'll come back and add a 5th star!.Version: 1.0.1

Okay app, suggestion for the developerThis app is okay. Although the concept is good, I find the implementation very basic and with limited possibilities. Here are my impressions and suggestions: 1) the scale knob is very hard to turn to the right scale. I would recommend a drop down list. (I have a nice iPad with retina display) 2) why I cannot edit my own arpeggio by simply tapping on the keyboard my own keys ? 2) exporting the pattern in midi format would be useful. 3) an alternative vertical view of the keys with the arpeggio pattern would be much more effective and helpful than current keyboard view. 4)when changing arpeggio parameters would be helpful to have a preview scale mode that show in a different color all the keys at once. 5) remove some knobs and employ a list controller where the number of values is high. 6) the app is really worthy $ 5-6 . Why charge a so much higher price when could target so many other customers ?.Version: 1.2.1

Love this app! This app seems to have limitless possibilities. I recommend going to settings and setting the knobs to horizontal for easier use. Once they are set, touch the knob, drag your finger vertically then horizontally, this will let you see what the knob is set to. ( this would have been a better default setting as the knobs are difficult to use otherwise). The more I experiment with this the more fun it becomes..Version: 1.2.1

InspirationalArp Pro is one of a few go to apps when my inspiration needs a boost. Complicated enough to never be boring but, delivers when a new arp is needed. Only recommendation...on the update put just a little attitude in the mix while keeping the basic sound intact. Maybe asking to much? It's just that Arp Pro is that good. Keep keep it coming!.Version: 1.1

AwesomeSuch a cool transformation of an iPad into a really useful customizable synth. Really great. You can tell it's not up to par with figure by propellerheads but only in its slightly cramped controls. Easily makes up for it with so many though. ONE THING ID REALLY LIKE TO SEE is the knobs to be controlled by linear motion of your finger so instead of having to actually rotate the knob with your finger you'd just hit the knob and "rotate" it just by sliding your finger up or down like you would if there were a fader there..Version: 1.2.0

Fun out of the box; some suggestionsMuch thought has already gone into this. There's a lot to absorb, but you don't have to grasp everything all at once. After I'd had the app for a couple weeks, I reread the "iOS Music and You" review on the web, and a number of things fell into place. Some things that I think would be reasonable to expect in a v1.1 or 1.2: 1. Landscape mode with slightly larger note buttons and a narrower range of rhythms. As Chip points out in the aforementioned review, it's rare to move between whole notes and 128th notes in a single song. I have average-size fingertips and find the note buttons just a tiny bit small. 2. Audiobus controls. I don't need to record the internal synth, but I would like transport controls for the app I'm recording another synth into..Version: 1.0.1

Great app, but not universalAs others have noted, this is a fantastic arp that opens up a ton of creative possibilities. My only complaint is that it isn't universal, so if I want to have this on my iPhone as well as my iPad, I have to buy the app again. And then since they're separate apps, synching your custom presets between devices is a tedious export/import process rather than seamless/automatic. It loses a star for this, but otherwise is outstanding..Version: 1.2.0

Absolutely worth the money! This app is phenomenal. It is a must-have in your iOS music-making arsenal. Many a times I have used this app when I was stuck in a rut writing, and I've stumbled across a new idea. Use it to control all your other virtual MIDI synths, and come across some great sounds. Seriously, don't hesitate. Buy it. It's that good..Version: 1.2.1

No landscape orientation support!?Oh please! $20 and it doesn't bloody support landscape orientation!! It's does have some great features and is playable without reading the tutorial! :-) As a matter of fact I can't tear myself away from it to read it! LOL It's jam packed with features!!.Version: 1.0.1

Steep price, great application...I think $20 (plus tax . . . 10% where I am) is way too much for this application. However . . . it is fantastic. Drive anything with it. Easily. If you need an arpeggiator, this is THE one. I just wish the developer would get the price point to a more reasonable place. Don't sweat whether it's good or not, though . . . because it is better than good..Version: 1.1

One minor issueOne thing I find very annoying about this app is it doesn't support screen rotation. Most of the music apps I've used are landscape layout so bouncing between apps means rotating my tablet back and forth, this is a speed bump in work flow. Beyond that its of my fav apps, it works with my maudio UNO with a camera connector and can brings some amazing arps to my hardware synths..Version: 1.0.1

So good, not quite what it could be...Incredible app. IOS musicians rejoice! Love the interaction with other core midi apps. The one thing holding this app back from being really a great and perfect 5 stars is the glaring omission of audiobus. Alex..GET ON THE BUS ASAP, pretty please!!! Serious IOS musicians require audiobus support to truly make each and every app work to its full potential!.Version: 1.0.1

Amazing! So much fun. A really nice departure from StepPolyArp making those 2 arpeggiators a powerful complimentary package. I stitched it in to Funkbox, Animoog and Loopy HD and…man…you can pretty much do anything. Thanks Alexander for such a creative approach to arpeggiators. We needed it! Would love to see a landscape orientation in future releases..Version: 1.0.1

Get This sequencerI have bought about every sequencer for ipad. I have to say, this one gives you VERY interesting results. I ran my Mopho and Tetr4 Thru it and this sequencer made them sound like an expensive modular environment! Thanks to the developer!.Version: 1.0.1

Top notch appTorn between too complicated to master and too simple to be useful, this app is a masterful blend of creative inspiration and practical utility. The porridge in this product is 'just right' and easily worth the price!.Version: 1.2.1

It's okay, needs an updateGreat tool for creating interesting arpeggios. This needs ableton link in a bad way. No update in over two years...a lot has happened in mobile music in two years. This app is only becoming obsolete the longer it goes without an update..Version: 1.2.1

Love itAmazingly useful app. Now even better with landscape support. Use it to control my VSTs through wifi. Highly recommended and well worth the price..Version: 1.1

It's okay, more capability please?I like the interface, but I wish it had a more user friendly interface. Also, the vibrato and volume are too sensitive to actually use them..Version: 1.2.1

I love and use this daily!I use this for many many things. It is great to compose with using the built in synth. I use it to trigger hardware synths while I dial in my patches. I use it to trigger my favorite Apps. Sooooo fun!!!!!!.Version: 1.2.0

A must-have pro-level performance arpeggiator at a bargain price! What a great app. A full-fledged performance controller at your fingertips. Easy to use with other apps and hardware. Slays the pricier competition..Version: 1.0.1

FinallyI have not been using this excellent app because of no Audiobus and no landscape mode. This update adds both. Fantastic..Version: 1.1

Ableton link? Otherwise great for Arp'sA lot of fun to get a melody going in no time at all. Would love to use this with ableton link though. Controlling other iOS synths through midi is as easy as it should be. Fun times messing with this one..Version: 1.2.1

IndustriousStraight forward easy enough to manipulate especially on iPad but deeper than what it appears. Real cool for controlling other MIDI friendly apps too!.Version: 1.2.1

No Ableton link?I don't understand why your other app has link and this one does not! It would be amazing if you added support for link. Please please please please please please....Version: 1.2.1

Landscape support added!Very happy to have landscape mode. Most apps I use are in landscape. Works great with Animoog. Really like how it uses iPad's accelerometers..Version: 1.1

Lots of fun...butI connected various apps via MIDI and the rhythmic sounds i create are awesome. One problem that bugs me is the rotary buttons are SO SENSITIVE. Please fix it. Other than that I'm having fun. Thanks!.Version: 1.2.1

Good. Only one suggestion..I love this app. Only suggestion is some automation would be cool. Def worth the money in my opinion..Version: 1.2.1

Instantly musicalIncredibly well thought out!.Version: 1.0.1

So awesomeI highly recommend this app if you are looking for an awesome arpeggiator. Get it now it will not disappoint..Version: 1.2.0

Thank you!A great tool just got better!.Version: 1.2.0

WonderfulSimple to use, great in-app instructions, and a great price tag! developer is kind and helpful as well, i had a small issue w/ midi clock sync and he helped me straighten it out quickly. 6 stars if i could!.Version: 1.1

Definitely buy it!Generate crazy sequences of notes that sound awesome. Tons of customization, easy to use. Midi in/out make this a masterpiece when you can arpeggiate other synths..Version: 1.3.0

One of the best apps i've ever usedArp pro is one of the best apps—i don't mean best *music* app—i mean best app of any category, that i have ever used. it's so well thought out and put together. absolutely love it!.Version: 1.3.0

Good appIt's very good. I have to comment on the guy who likes the app but only gave 1 star because of the price. Think for a minute my friend. You are saying that the app is no good only because it's $15. Would you give it 5 stars if it was $5? Why do you think we rate apps? It's to help others to know if it's good or not. If you think the app is good but too expensive, you might want to rate it without considering the price and mention in the review that you think it's too expensive and why. The problem your way is that people see the number of stars and won't even read the reviews. How can you give such a bad rating for an app like this only because it's $15. That's the price of a meal at Macdonald's or a coffee and muffin for you and a friend. $15 is nothing these days. Do you know how hard it is to create an app like this? Very very hard. Very few developers can do it. Think before you give a rating. Think about what it's for. It's not for you to express your frustration about being broke and expecting all apps to be free or $1.99. Just try to create a simple music app and you will have a new appreciation..Version: 1.3.0

Great AppMost complete arpeggio machine on the planet..Version: 1.3.0

AmazingSuch a great app to drive arpeggios. I love playing with this. Looking forward to trying out this latest update..Version: 1.3.0

Creative and FlawlessEndlessly usable, plenty of customization, and has played well with all my external MIDI so far. Worth every dollar!.Version: 1.2.1

Really creativeSimply easy, creative! and musical! not expensive for all it's does! thx.Version: 1.1

Good concept, good implementationExtensive, deep arpeggio functionality. Picked this up shortly after Cthulu VST. Nice tool to have..Version: 1.1

Awesome...!This is really nice, works very well, extremely usable, a secret weapon in any arsenal....Version: 1.0.1

Very Complete and Full-Featured AppWorth the money - you get what you pay for. The MIDI implementation is the best I have seen on iOS so far. The arpeggiation options are if anything, TOO full featured! High price but high value..Version: 1.1

Almost too much fun. This thing is so crazy I can't believe it's even LEGAL. *update: Again, the best money I've spent on an app since Lemur but one thing it desperately needs is panorama view. This is a great tool for controlling synths in your DAW via a dock or something, and most decent synth apps in the iPad don't have portrait view so either way you'll have to be rotating the iPad. Now, this might sound like a small, whiny complaint but it's actually a compliment to the Arpeggionome itself... It's so useful and brilliant and fun and DEEP that you don't want even the slightest interruption once you get going with it. SO WORTH HAVING, it's making every app & instrument in my computer come alive and seem brand new again. And I haven't even tried it on a drum kit yet..Version: 1.0.1
