Best $5 I’ve ever spent on an appBuy this App. We have a sport fishing boat in Alaska - which we use continuously for 3 - 5 day trips, 20 to 60 miles out of town/on the ocean. Our need to tie and splice various lines is non stop. This fantastic app has made it easy for any of us on the boat to become expert at just the right knot for any occasion. Even better on iPadAs a longtime user of the iPhone version I was very glad to see the release of an iPad app. This has the same high quality graphics, animations, and knot information you've come to expect from Grog, but now larger! I especially like the usability and navigation of the app in landscape mode. If you want the best resource for learning to tie knots this is the app for you. I know knot experts that love Animated Knots by Grog, but it's especially invaluable for someone like me who does not find themselves dealing with knots often enough to memorize the various ones and how to utilize them, let alone tie them! Good App, Must Pay For Each Platform!The knot app itself is good. Just a heads up, you must pay for each platform. So, if you happen to buy it while on your iPad, and then want to load it on your iPhone, no good. I thought I must be doing something wrong, since I had never run into that before, so I contacted the company. They confirmed that, yes, you must pay for each platform separately. My problem is that they don't mention that anywhere in the app description. It's certainly not the norm. Again, good app, except now I'm stuck with it on my iPad, when I really wanted it on my phone. Combines the best of boat, scout and para cord knotsGlad I bought this app. Worried it was not worth the $5, but after spending over $50 for ebooks on para cord, marine knots, and other apps, I'm really glad I took the plunge. The animation is first rate on my iPad. The color is magnificent and the knot list exceeds comprehensive. I forget how to tie knots when I am out and about. Best knot appThis is my fave knot app! It has tons of knots, and the pictures are easy to follow. My favorite thing about this app over others, is that it demonstrates hand wrapping and one handed tying methods. The categories are well laid out. With this and Knots3d, I can tie any knot. Amazing animation, Great appLove this app. Step-by-step pictures are so easy to follow. I can use it in camp and in the boat when I'm away from the internet. Ok, butI found this app because I was making paracord bracelets so I got it thinking it had decorative knots. It's a ok app but it really doesn't have that many knots, not 5$ worth. There's only about 15 decorative knots. Sorry guess it is ok, just not what I needed. I have no problem paying for good apps. There are just to few knots for 5$.
