Deceptive AdvertisingThe ad I saw for this on Twitter gives the impression that the user can choose what they want changed and what they want it changed to. It shows the walls being highlighted (presumably by the user—it looks like a finger is tracing the area) then choosing a new paint color, the floor being highlight and changed to different flooring, etc. But that’s not actually what happens at all in this app. Instead, after you upload an image of a room, the app generates a whole new room, without any input from the user except what budget the user has and whether or not they want to DIY build any furniture. I picked $500 (the lowest option) and no DIY furniture. I never got the opportunity to tell the app if I wanted the walls changed another color, the flooring replaced… Nothing like that. Instead it generated an entirely different room with a whole new fireplace, new flooring, all new furniture…. Nobody is going to be able to do all that for $500! Not only did I have no desire for an entirely new room with every single element from paint color to fireplace to furniture completely replaced, it didn’t even ask me what style I wanted this new room to be in. I’m a home stager and I was hoping I could use this app to show clients what their room would look like after making some minor cosmetic changes, like wall color. Maybe the pro version is different, but no way I’m paying for it without being able to try those features first (if they even exist)..ErynnsheakellyVersion: 1.1.5
Do not waste your money!First, let me say I bought the pro version. Accidentally purchasing a year instead of a week. I tried to receive my money back from Apple, but they declined it. I canceled my purchase with an hours of accidentally purchasing. I canceled my subscription before I was even charged by Apple. I explained to Apple that I did not want a year subscription. They refused to refund my money and now I’m stuck with an app that I don’t like that has no real features for a year.
Second, as I mentioned, this app is useless. All you do is add a picture of your house and it generates a picture. There’s no option to add anything or subtract anything or any kind of suggestions. Half the time it doesn’t even recognize certain portions of a wall. In one of the pictures I have an ombre wall because of the sunlight. Be careful if you have any kind of vaulted ceiling because it won’t recognize that either. Don’t bother using this if you have an angled wall or anything outside of a normal square room with 8 foot ceilings. and I hope all of your furniture is put in exact place that you like it because there won’t be any suggestions of how it could look better and it will just generate slightly different furniture in the exact same space. Waste of money, time, and phone spaceI bought this app before closing on my and my husbands forever home. I very much wanted to love this app and have given it two weeks to “grow on me”. It hasn’t. The “Pro” version is a waste of money. The app in general is a waste of space. If you have a specific idea for a room and want a loose visual of that specific idea before actually committing it to, this is *not* the app for that. If you have no specific idea and want a random AI generator to spit random ideas out, this *is* the app for that.
Unfortunately, I am looking for the first case. To give an example: I asked for the AI to “Paint the lower kitchen cabinets black. Make the upper kitchen cabinets stained wood.” The AI generated all black kitchen cabinets. I went through almost all the styles and not a single one yielded what I asked for. So then I asked the AI to “Paint the lower kitchen cabinets a dark color. Paint the upper kitchen cabinets a light color.” I still didn’t get the image I wanted. Cool concept, but doesn’t do as much as ad suggestsI purchased this app to see possibilities for the exterior of our home. It is a nice app to have to see general updates that can be made to the exterior façade, but it did not change the style of the windows as the ad suggested, which is a major part of changing the look of a structure. I purchased thinking that $40 was worth seeing what the house could look like, but am disappointed in the results. Doesn’t workThe AI is completely ineffective and will generate random shapes laid over the room sometimes. The only tool that works okay is the styling tool if you make zero changes. But it kept generating the wrong floors when I would select a specific one or if I tried to change curtains, windows, etc. it would lay the new picture over the old ones so you couldn’t see what anything would actually look like. I thought $30-40 was worth it to help with my home reno but I know when they don’t have a free trial. Each attempt to generate a new facade for our house did not work. 7 to 9 minutes into the download, the progress twirly thingy was still twirling but nothing intelligible was ever generated.
