Bevel: AI Health Coach App Comments & Reviews
Bevel: AI Health Coach Positive Reviews
Best food tracking I’ve ever worked withI got this app because my husband loves his Whoop and wanted me to get one but I don’t want another wearable and I NEED the Apple Watch to ping my phone or answer texts or calls when my hands are full with the kids. So the whoop similar stats are great and helped me realize I was absolutely not recovering with lack of sleep from baby and working out normally. BUT I didn’t expect the food logging to be so wonderful! I love the ability to take a picture of the food and have AI guess it! I usually have to modify but sometimes I don’t and I’m super impressed because it makes it so much easier to track (don’t recommend if you haven’t tracked cals and macros before though - just stick to straight up logging the ingredients until you get a solid idea of everything). I also LOVE that it tells me how many cals I have burned today (mostly by just being alive and moving around as well as the workouts) and then tells me how many cals I have consumed and if I’m in a surplus or deficit. No calorie “goals” or “you didn’t hit your macro target” or cyber guilting in any way! It’s helped my motivation for eating in a deficit feel more intrinsic than externally motivated by trying to please the app (iykyk). I totally didn’t expect this app to heal my neurotic food logging that always made me feel worse. Instead, I feel capable of logging food that is fueling me for my activity and strain level that day and seeing macros at a glance helps inform me what my next meal should have a little more of. I have been logging food for almost a month now and I’ve never felt better about my nutrition and energy levels and relationship with food!.Version: 2.2.3
Finally, my perfect fitness app!I’m a long time Garmin watch user and I’ve also had extensive experience with the Polar, Whoop, Apple and Amazfit fitness ecosystems. Bevel health is by far my favorite fitness app so far. It lets me use any device (or combination of devices) I want and does a great job of reconciling data from multiple devices and deleting duplicates. It even takes the raw data from devices and does it own calculations (e.g., HRV) to provide better consistency. Its AI system works really well for me, whether it’s designing a workout program, putting in my meals, or helping me interpret my metrics. The strength training app works very well for me. Designing custom resistance workout templates is very easy (unlike the Garmin nightmare). The presentation of the data is also excellent. Even the free app is very useful, but getting access to the AI through the subscription is worth it for me. I’ve only been using the app for a few days but already amazed at what it can do, and will happily pay the subscription price to get these features. Hopefully they can fight off the lawsuit from one of their competitors because I don’t want to go back to a single device system, and the only other multi device app I tried was nowhere near as good..Version: 3.0.8
Really liking what this app offersThis being the first day of public release I wanted to set my expectations low. So far from what I am seeing it is fantastic. There was no need for low expectations as this app has hit the ground running right from the start. I did find one not big bug but so far a really nice experience. If you are familiar with Whoop, Athlytic or Garmin this will feel similar but it does well with offering a fresh way of looking at your data. I really like that it already supports updating the widgets on the desktop of my Mac. I have apps the I have used for years that still have not started with that feature. So far I have not come to a conclusion that the subscription price is fair for what you are getting. I am leaning to yeah it’s fair, there is nice value here. I will admit I am not someone who is bothered much by subscriptions if I am likening the product. I never go right to the full year. I always go monthly for a month or two and if after that I am using the app regularly I pay for the year. My guess is after a month I will just do the year as I have been in the app multiple times today..Version: 1.0.6
Coming from Whoop, this is greatI was a Whoop user for years and years because although the price is ridiculous I loved the algorithm they used to crunch my metrics and they did innovate and add new features that kept me around. After upgrading to the Whoop MG, I was super unhappy because the sensors on the new devices never collected accurate heart rate data no matter where I wore it, essentially invalidating all other metrics calculated with their algorithm. Looking into Whoop alternatives, I stumbled across Bevel and I’m so happy I did! Not only is it a similar layout to Whoop so it was easy for me to learn, but I felt like the Bevel AI coach was better than what Whoop offered and the metrics give me more valuable information to base my training off of. Add to it, I can now use the superior sensors inside my Apple Watch to calculate this data, this is like a match made in heaven. Bevel is also considerably more affordable than Whoop, what I paid per month is what I pay per year for Bevel. Couldn’t recommend this enough if you’re someone like me that likes to look at your health data with more transparency and understanding..Version: 2.5.0
3.0 broke itI’ve gone back and forth with positive or negative review of this app. I never tried it until after they got the AI. I loved it but then they changed it again so recently after a major update. Giving the bevel bot a personality seems like a good idea but I have the commander & he’s soft. If you’re going to name a bot “commander” make him like David Goggins not Me. Rodger’s. The bot has less personality and says much less in general now. If I try to argue with it I get the now classic “Listen here” like I’m getting lectured by an old fat broad. They took out the Liquid Glass look and made the UI for the chats boring and flat. I can’t change the text size because that’s totally normal for legally blind people to not have a setting to fix that, oh wait we do in Apple setting but the app developer won’t activate it so I get eye strain trying to read it. Good thing it has less to say for me to strain to read. Seriously it doesn’t say as much as it used to and the info is less helpful. I’m also tired of correcting the bot that used to know more about me but now is telling me fake news about myself such as encouraging workouts on a rest day (it used to know my rest days) & it will assume my splits even though I’ve told it repeatedly it’s on a rotational basis & it won’t ever know but it tries and fails anyways. It takes much longer to think now to o & it’s gotta tell me what it’s thinking about because it thinks so slowly they’re using “what it’s doing” as the load screen while you wait. Yah it’s answers and commentary got downgraded. I’m just not enjoying it like I used to. The conversations aren’t the same. It’s not the same bot, the one I like is gone or in one of the other personalities because the wimp commander isn’t it..Version: 3.0.5
Amazing App but a bit clunky (UPDATED)UPDATE: this team of developers is next level. Consistent, responsive, fast and open minded. Love the new updates and I am blown away by the app/team. This app seriously has given me the information/guidance and coaching to get into the best shape of my life as I near 40. Can’t say enough how grateful I am to have found it. OLD REVIEW: my experience with the App has been amazing. Great tool that’s changed the way I live. Areas where I’d love to see improvements: (1) macros - would love more insight. Other than carbs, protein and fats there isn’t much. Although when you click on individual items you can see all the nutritional values (sodium, added sugars etc). Would love to be able to see all of that at a glance as well- even if it is just another screen you have to drill down into. I love the focus on carbs, fats and protein but it would be nice to see the others as well especially as all the information is already there. (2) id love more insight on the food scores. Don’t really see a lot of rationale for how the calculations are made (3) would love to see a bit more of the Apple specs regarding health available so I don’t need to shuffle between apps (4) would love if the keyboard didn’t auto pop up when you’re selecting a recipe. Always makes me accidentally click. (5) would love to be able to log different types of workouts (stroller walks) Again. Amazing app. Very grateful for the functionality..Version: 2.2.9
Bevel has quickly become my favorite Health AplI have been a long time user of Oura, however as the life of my battery started to decline (down to 2 days) I went in search of a replacement. I have been using Bevel for a couple of months now and can’t imagine living without it. For the way I use both apps (there are a lot of features that I don’t use regularly), following is quick compare/contrast: - For REM and Deep sleep the two apps are directionally similar. Not sure which one is more accurate. - There is a LOT more movement in the Bevel sleep score, which I like. My Oura sleep score tends to be in a narrow range which makes it less useful. - There is even more variability with the Bevel Recover score vs. Oura’s Readiness score. I find that Bevel is way more in line with how I feel. - Bevel has a Strain recommendation (how hard you should work out that day) based on your sleep/recover, which I find very useful. This has helped to reduce the amount I over train. - Bevel tracks your stress throughout the day. I consider myself having very low stress however I have learned that the stress from some of my workouts stays with me throughout the day. - My wife got sick and all of the Bevel scores I have mentioned above enabled her to be smart about her recovery and getting back to training. With Oura I really like the Heart Rate graph and the HRV graph, neither of which currently exist within Bevel (though they are on the feature request list)..Version: 1.2.5
Whoop KillerThis app is amazing. It’s not even because of the data, which is on par with Whoop. The transparency to roadmap and community input/developer responses are freaking amazing. You can tell how much the team really cares about creating something useful to everyone vs. something they think is cool (the downfall of so many companies). The integrations/UI aren’t overcomplicated. The native watch app is killer, given Whoop will never have one. You’re able to customize heart rate zones by preferred method. I love that you’re able to be more in control over your own preferences vs. a black box of data. I have no doubt that this app will just get better and better. I subscribed today after getting timely input on an issue I was having. Knowing there is a person with a name fielding things gives me a fuzzy feeling vs. a massive company that really doesn’t launch much at all given the size of their team. I’m rooting for this team and canceling Whoop today!.Version: 2.0.9
Time to ditch WhoopThis app is so great! I was a Whoop user and actually worth both my Apple Watch and Whoop. Not only does this app allow me to use my Apple Watch for tracking, but it does a phenomenal job at health tracking and AI-based analysis. Not only is Bevel considerably less expensive than Whoop, but it actually offers more and better functionality. The UI is beautiful and very intuitive. The tracking uses “rings” similar to Apple Health and the colors and charts make all of the info super easy to consume. Bevel offers scoring on Strain, Recovery, and Sleep which are all based on stats collected via Apple Health and the watch. In my time testing this, these scores are super accurate and a great way to truly understand how the body is handling activity and rest. Each area in the app has an AI-based summary that analyzes the data and makes recommendations. You can even ask it follow up questions and it will provide coaching. The food tracking is also great and it allowed me to end my MyFitnessPal subscription. Super easy to enter food, search, and even track using image recognition. Nutrition scoring and analytics is really impressive. There is also a workout function that allows you to create workout templates. I haven’t tried this yet, but it looks really great. Overal, Bevel is awesome and it allowed me to end subscriptions at both Whoop and MyFitnessPal for WAY less money..Version: 2.5.4
BEST WHOOP ALTERNATIVE AND WORTH ITTL;DR - just like if not better than whoop with more features. Only downside is no 24/7 wear or auto workout detection but it’s understandable and worth it. I usually don’t leave reviews for apps but this app is actually the best like ever. I had whoop for 2 years and I really hated the pricing but still stuck with it because I couldn’t find alternatives that met the standards that I set. Just this Christmas I got an Apple Watch and decided to get rid of my whoop and switch over but I still wanted the metrics and records. This app literally does every single thing that the whoop does AND MORE with workouts and meal logs and hydration logs. This is honestly the best thing ever. The only downsides are the non-automatic workout tracking and not being able to wear it 24/7 as you have to charge your watch and you could charge the whoop while wearing it. But honestly it’s worth the trade for the things you get with this app..Version: 2.4.3
Life-Changing App – Truly Impressive WorkI’m not one to leave reviews, but this app deserves it. Bethel has genuinely changed my life. When iOS 26 came out, the team hopped on Liquid Glass right away—and the UI is unbelievably fast and smooth. Food logging is effortless, and now having these fitness features on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 is awesome. As a former Garmin user, I really missed things like advanced weight training metrics, hydration tracking, and battery insights. Bethel not only brings all of those to Apple Watch, but honestly does them so much better than Garmin ever did. What makes it even more incredible is that you get these insanely powerful insights without any hit to battery life—because Bethel simply leverages data the Apple Watch is already collecting all day long. No extra sensors, no constant pings—just brilliant. The battery energy level feature is something I never knew I needed but now check constantly. And the AI… hands down the most comprehensive I’ve ever seen in an app. It takes in a huge amount of data and gives back thoughtful, actionable recommendations that actually make sense in real life. One thing I hope the team continues to focus on is privacy and data hardening—because the data is powerful, and protecting it is just as important. That said, I also love the request-to-feature board. You can throw out ideas, vote on others, and see the status directly from the team. It shows they’re actually listening to users. Bethel is not just an app, it feels like a company that’s pushing health and AI forward in a serious way. Huge props to the team—you’ve built something incredible..Version: 2.2.4
Everything I’ve been looking forOh my God, this app is beyond my expectations. It truly has everything I need in one place: workouts, health guidance, structure — all of it. What really sets this app apart is the AI. In other health apps, I usually just see random numbers and stats, and then I have to search elsewhere to understand what they even mean. Here, the AI explains everything instantly — clearly, simply, and in a way that actually makes sense for me. One feature I especially love is the AI’s memory. It actually remembers previous conversations and details about me, and then uses that context to give more personalized and relevant answers over time. The memory feels genuinely strong compared to most other AIs I’ve tried. The only thing I would love to see added is a built-in voice conversation feature. I know there are voice-to-text options on the keyboard, but they don’t work nearly as well. It would be amazing to have something more like ChatGPT’s voice experience — where you can actually talk to the AI instead of typing. Sometimes there’s just no time to type, or your hands are busy, and voice would make the experience even better. I absolutely love this app. I’m genuinely impressed, a little obsessed, and honestly — I think I’m in love. 💖 This is the first health app that truly feels complete..Version: 2.4.3
Just keeps getting betterI’ve loved Bevel since starting it a year ago, especially the recovery score. But what is really blowing me away is the AI integration, which has been updated since it stated. The AI remembers details about my health, preferences and triangulates that across my workouts and daily schedule. The more I use it, the better it becomes. I work with a health coach who provides big picture goals and overall programming, but Bevel’s AI helps with the day to day questions like, “should I rest today” or “how can I adjust my workouts because of travel” or even “why is my sleep poor and how should I reschedule my workouts this week based on my work schedule”. It’s my favorite app. Huge applause to the Bevel team for continuing to advance the app functions and listen to customer feedback! Really excited to see where it goes..Version: 2.5.8
Update: Accurate and customizable presentation made this app essential after testing for a yearAfter trying the top four contenders for health and wellness, Bevel stood above the rest for me — especially with the recent, major update. I find its readings to be most useful in determining where I’m at, why, and what I can do with what I have for any given day. The recent AI update catapulted this app over the threshold of excellence, in my opinion. The detailed feedback with prompt interactions and subsequent adaptability I receive is proving incredibly helpful for staying within safe ranges and not overdoing it. Bevel is exactly what I was looking for and unmatched by anything else I have found, tested, and concluded after subscribing to the top apps in this space for a year. Try and see for yourself, but I highly recommend Bevel Health! Thank you, guys!!!.Version: 2.3.5
Great App and Customer Experience. Highly Recommend.I own an Oura ring, Whoop and AWU 2 (don’t judge, I like data) and if I were to recommend one, it would be the Apple Watch + Bevel (If you don’t mind the wrist-only form factor and more frequent charging). This combo essentially gives the same data driven insight/summaries as Oura and Whoop (especially Whoop). While it may currently not provide some “nice to have/cool”features seen in other wearables, like a biological age proxy, one of the things that separates Bevel from competitors (i.e., wearables and similar apps) is that the Bevel team actively engages with their customer base and listens to their feedback (like feedback on customer feature requests). You can also integrate data from other wearables if you already have one. In summary, great user experience overall and actionable data insights..Version: 2.4.1
A great start, but not perfectFirst, the positives — Bevel has the capabilities of at least 3 other health and fitness apps that I currently use. Adding those other subscriptions together and Bevel makes a lot of sense, even at a whopping $99/year. This is literally the only app I know of that combines fitness, nutrition, and blood test results into a single “wellness” overview. However, this enormity of features is one of its biggest drawbacks. Bevel has a lot of friction. And I mean A LOT. I find myself tapping all over the place just to perform simple tasks like reviewing my past workouts and adding missing information. The interface is kinda buggy, freezing or stuttering at times, or displaying elements where they shouldn’t be (like the AI chat button in the middle of the screen). On top of that, I found myself questioning my eyesight, until I realized that in dark mode, I was trying to read medium gray text in a dark gray box, on a darker gray background. There is no true black option, and even the colors are muted in dark mode. Nice for a Linux theme…bad for an iPhone app. Entering bodyweight exercises is super hokey. Even after following the directions and using “0” for the weight, it tells me my short pull-up exercise netted me 1300+ pounds, while 130 squats and 100 push ups were a total of 0. Makes no sense. None of these drawbacks are significant alone, but taken together I’d rather continue using multiple, well-designed and bug-free apps than shelling out $99 for Bevel. I will likely come back and try it again in a year to see if they’ve made some more progress..Version: 3.0.1
Back to using my Apple WatchTo preempt my new years resolutions, I decided try out using the Apple watch again towards the end of 2024 after more than a 1 seeing if I could get back into better sleep habits and a regular exercise routine. After reading some reddit posts on Bevel, I gave the trial a try to see if I could gamify my sleep and strain scores. I am now a daily user of the app with the annual subscription, and would like to see even more features beyond sleep and strain tracking. While I don’t get much utility from the battery score, I’d love to use the journaling feature even more than I already do. It would be great if it integrated it with food calorie/macro tracking and possibly glucose tracking as well as fasting in the future :) All in all a great app so far. Would love to try the Beta..Version: 1.3.17
Best health app no doubtI don’t usually write reviews but I’m going out of my way to write this one, this is by far the best health app I’ve ever used,it has so much data that u can use and draw from your health devices, even if u don’t have a smart watch or ring or health devices like that it has so many features to still help you,the base app is FREE btw which is honestly insane, imo the base app is all I rlly need too so that’s a win, also I stumbled upon a “recommended a feature” page and was able to recommend some things I’d like to see in the future which is honestly rlly nice to see that they’re working on making this the best health app out there,it’s so refreshing to have an app like this where you have something all in one place and the makers of the app arnt trying to get your money.Version: 2.5.8
Amazing SupportMoving from a Garmin to an AW Ultra 2, I tried several apps to try and replicate the health data/analysis I was used to seeing with the Garmin. I settled on Bevel, mostly due to the interface and the fact that its analysis felt closer to what I was used to with the Garmin, and how I was feeling. What has made me really know I made the right decision, was when I had some issues with getting my Oura data working correctly with the app. The Catch-22 with the AW, 3rd party apps and other fitness trackers is that you have all these input/analysis options compared to the Garmin but it can take some work to make sure right data is getting to your app. The Bevel support team has been nothing but amazing in terms of working through this with me. No generic AI responses. Couldn’t be more impressed..Version: 2.0.8
What whoop and Garmin Connect wish they were!I’ve spent way too much time jumping between apps to figure out if I’m actually recovered or just lazy. Bevel finally fixed that. It takes everything: my Peloton rides, my running pace, and even my work stress, and gives me one clear plan. The recovery insights are freakishly accurate, and I much prefer it over my Garmin for tracking training load. It doesn’t just give you a score; it explains how much sleep you need to pay back your "debt" or if you should push hard today. For anyone else like me grinding in Hyrox or endurance sports, this is the missing piece of the puzzle. Garmin feels like reading a spreadsheet from 2005, and Whoop is just another monthly bill I don't need. Bevel is clean, simple, and actually useful..Version: 2.5.7
FINALLY, the all-in-one app!I’ve been using Bevel for just a week, and I’m already blown away. This app has everything I’ve been looking for—seamlessly integrating fitness, nutrition, health tracking, and habit building all in one place. It’s rare to find an app that covers so much without feeling overwhelming, but Bevel nails it. After searching high and low for something like this, I’m so glad I finally stumbled upon it. What makes it even better is that they give you enough time to try it out before committing to the pro version (which, in my opinion, is absolutely worth it). The interface strikes the perfect balance between intuitive and detailed. It’s user-friendly but also lets you dive deep into specific data points, helping you understand your health metrics and how to make positive changes in your nutrition, activity, and overall wellness. One of my favorite features is how well it integrates with my Ultra Human Ring Air Smart Ring and Apple Watch, giving me full control over where it pulls data from. In short, Bevel has exceeded my expectations. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for, and I highly recommend it to anyone serious about their health and fitness goals..Version: 2.0.3
Outstanding all-in-one health ecosystem. Easily replaced two separate appsI’m only on day 4 of my 7-day trial, and I’m already completely sold. Bevel is exactly what a health and fitness app should be. Its integration with Apple Health is seamless—it reads and writes data perfectly without any of the glitchy sync delays you get with other platforms. What really blew me away is how much it consolidates. I’ve already been able to completely delete my dedicated meal logging app and my weight training tracker. Having my strength workouts, macro tracking, and deep recovery metrics all under one roof—and talking to each other—is a game-changer. If you’re tired of app fatigue and want a clean, intelligent, unified view of your health, just start the trial. You won’t look back..Version: 3.0.7
Overheats phoneI love this app, it’s amazing. I’ve learned so much health facts that I would’ve never even thought about with the built in AI. Taking photos with a brief description of food makes logging food so much faster and easier (of course it gets things wrong but it’s 90% correct). Using the AI to create custom recipes or building a macro/micro list for custom foods also saves me a ton of time. Overall amazing! I only have one complaint: I use this app a lot, and I noticed that when I use it, my phone gets extremely hot! At first I thought it was just an iOS/phone issue but it seems to only occur when I have the app running or if I just recently opened it. Hopefully whatever that is, if it’s a bug, the developers can fix it!.Version: 2.5.6
Excellent app! Incorrect nutrition infoEdit March 2026: I’ve became a power user and now that I am tracking nutrients, I noticed that these quite a bit of issues on the food database where the nutrients are either incorrect or they’re non existent. For example, Folate. For a few foods I’ve seen, their folate content is wrong or it’s missing. Original: Don’t usually leave reviews but this app is so well done in every aspect that I just had to. Props to the developer. The data is easy to analyze, the app is well designed, it has everything you need to track performance all in one app. The workout tracking is phenomenal too. I don’t have any complains. The only thing I think can be slightly improved is the food logging. It’s a bit cumbersome sometimes. Other than that, phenomenal app! Thanks (:.Version: 2.5.7
Simple, solid and dependableThere are a lot of health and fitness related apps out there and I’ve tried several. Just my personal preference, mind you; YMMV. I found Bevel to be the best of the bunch. It has a clean UI, loads and syncs quickly, tracks all the metrics that I care about. Most similar apps focus on workouts and maybe sleep. Very few also pay attention to nutrition, and I don’t know of any others that will sync with a CGM to track your blood glucose. Bevel includes all these and doesn’t require a second mortgage to cover the suckscription. The devs are working constantly to polish and improve and release regular updates and they’re very responsive.. The app looks and works great on all my iDevices too - phone, iPad and watch. Works for me!.Version: 2.1.6
Amazing health awarenessI never usually write reviews for apps but this app deserves one with how good and underrated it is. I LOVE how the app’s interface is so simple and satisfying, please keep it the same. I’m a fan of minimalistic but aesthetic interfaces of apps and not a lot of apps have that because it’s bloated with too many things but this app nails it in that area. Keeping track of my HR for stress is a really big help to my awareness towards my health so I love that most of all. The energy level tracker is also a big plus from me. I can’t wait to see what other things are added to app but I hope it doesn’t get bloated or lose its appealing interface. Thank you for creating this app! It has improved my awareness for my health..Version: 1.3.10
My go-to wellness appI’ve tried so many wellness and wearable apps, and this one honestly feels like getting like 5 apps in one. Recovery, tracking, workouts, sleep, and goal setting all in one place. The updates have been great too. You can tell the team actually listens to feedback because the app has improved with way more features since I first downloaded it. I’m always recommending Bevel to people. My friends complain about their wearable apps and think they need to buy a whole new device, but this app fixes most of what they don’t like. It does everything in one spot and feels easy to use. It’s become part of my daily routine and I actually enjoy opening it. Highly recommend!.Version: 2.3.0
The app we’ve all been waiting for. This app is “the dream”.Other than being able to track food as it goes down my esophagus, I’m not sure how much better this app can get. I am extremely impressed by how accurate and Intuitive the app is communicating across all my different health tracking platforms. My Apple Watch now truly feels like a REAL health tracker specifically because of the capabilities of this app. If you love data, and are serious about going next level with your health, this app is for you. And if you’re not serious yet, just ask the AI within the app and it will help guide you in your fitness journey. If I could give this app 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Bevel!.Version: 3.0.5
Friggin’ Amazing!!I’ve been using this app for a couple of weeks and I’m blown away by how refined and intuitive it is. After 16 years in the Garmin ecosystem, 8 years with the Oura Ring, and a brief stint with the Whoop band, I decided to switch to the Apple Watch Ultra full time and started testing both Athlytic and Bevel apps. Bevel quickly learned my patterns and now tracks my effort and recovery with impressive accuracy. The journal is highly customizable, easy to use, and lets me track more metrics than any other app. The strength-training feature is the best I’ve used! It is fast, flexible, and PERFECT for personalized workouts. The built-in insights are practical and helpful. This is by far the best fitness and training app I’ve ever used..Version: 2.2.6
This app really is All-In-One and the Price is RightThis app kills the competition (Whoop, Hume, FitBit, Fitbod, Zing, Myfitness Pal, etc.). I’ve tried them all of the course of several years. If Bevel doesn’t have it, they’re working on it. They work on the most requested features based on real customer feedback in the app. Instead of having multiple tracking devices and multiple apps to get the overall health picture, this one does most and they’re working to do it all. Their pricing is the great too. No more $200+ Whoop fees and no more checking multiple apps to track nutrition, workouts, sleep, recovery, stress, etc. Plus, Bevel’s Ai bot gives expert level advice for improving your health..Version: 2.4.3
Awesome appInsane amount of quality metrics in one app. Starting at the new year I have gone through 3 workout apps after finding better versions and this one is top tier for recording strength workouts. Tracks muscle groups worked and has a great integration with quick sync features for tracking sets and reps either on the phone or on the watch. You can actually screenshot or take a picture of a list of past workout sets if you write down the workout them weightxreps and it logs it in this app for past weight progression tracking. And that’s only one of the features! This app is awesome since they have made everything free..Version: 2.4.3
Fantastic appI don’t know if I’ve ever left a review for an app before, which says something about Bevel. I used to use an app to log strength training, and an app to log food. Bevel does both of these things with excellence, on top of reading and interpreting health data from my Apple Watch (also with excellence). But too much data and my eyes start to glaze over… which is where their AI comes in. I was expecting a generic, poorly constructed AI chat when I tried it, but again… with excellence. The AI is extremely good at interpreting my questions and using my health data to provide a thoughtful response. This app is incredible. Thank you devs for making it!.Version: 2.5.2
AmazingIt is actually hard to describe just how good this app is. I have tried so many all inclusive, comprehensive health apps and all seem to fall short. Not Bevel. It really does it all. It tracks everything you want sleep, stress, cardio, recovery, etc. You can log your food daily so you know what you’re eating and track your calories and macros. So now I’m not using multiple apps and trying to combine the results into something I can manage. However, that is not what really sets this app from the competition. The AI feature on Bevel is what truly sets this application apart from the rest. The daily advice per metric, the ability to answer questions you have from nutrition to weightlifting to sleep is really quite amazing. Remembers their questions and its answers and follows up with you when I asked on a daily basis if need be. Again it’s hard to describe just how useful this feature is. You just have to treat it like a personal coach that’s available to you at all times . Dig yourself a favor and buy this app!!.Version: 2.4.3
Room for improvement but awesome concepts so farThe ability to track and scan my food is really cool, however it’s not very accurate at all. If you submit a picture of food it will be very off, even if you give good detailed subscriptions of what’s in there. Whenever i go to search up foods that are name brand that usually doesn’t work very well or it’s complicated trying to look for the food i’m eating. The barcode scanner is usually my go to but not always accurate so I have to make slight changes which takes forever, and i want accuracy so i must do it. Other than that it’s a pretty good app and a decent way to track your fitness, eating, and overall lifestyle..Version: 2.5.8
Comprehensive visualisation of wearable dataAfter using the app (free version) for about a week, I can confidently state that this is a great app which delivers on what it promises. I believe this is the best free app on Apple AppStore that lets you visualise and, in many cases, better interpret your wearable health device data without having you jump through hoops/paywalls. Very impressive and intuitive UI. I appreciate that one can log their strength workouts and choose from hundreds of pre-programmed workouts and create their own if needed with ease. Highly recommend it, I will continue to use it and consider purchasing the full version..Version: 3.0.7
FineThe app is fine. Compared to others, slightly above average to be sure. However, the AI in this app is 100% useless. Far and away the worst part of this app is the one thing that’s behind a paywall. Do not purchase, just use free. When you manually search for food, it’s not always correct despite the blue checkmark. Even uploading a picture of the nutrition label will NOT make the app change. You will have to go in and fist yourself doing each individual label amount. This app is absolutely not optimized for people who might not be paying attention and it throws off the values for the whole week. Download it? Yes. Pay for it? Hell no. Not until they get their AI model into the year 2026. Right now it’s like that 2014 AI video of will smith eating spaghetti….Version: 2.5.6
My go-to app every morning!I was originally introduced to this app a few months ago as a beta tester. I have been using it daily since then and always make it my go-to app when I wake up in the morning. I have used competitor apps in the past, and this one is way easier to understand and has a clean look. I love that it syncs with Apple Health and doesn’t need to store information on external servers. This app is new and growing quickly. So checkout their website to get a peek at what’s coming. The monthly fee is a bit more than competitors, but the annual fee is worth it! They developers are very active on Reddit..Version: 1.3.17
I don’t usually write theseI have to say out of every app I’ve tried for fitness or calorie tracking/ food tracking. This is the best thing ever. I feel actually motivated to keep track and create workouts. More importantly finish them. It allows me to see what the workouts are and makes routines for me to follow. Very helpful and very easy to use. They put a lot of thought into this app and I am hoping that with its help I will be a better me. So thank you. This is the first time I actually wrote a review in a long time, and it’s for a free app. I’ve suggested this to several friends and family too.Version: 2.5.10
Favorite health appI never write reviews, but after trying so many different calorie tracking and health apps, this is one of the best one. Not only is the UI beautiful, it’s intuitive too. There’s a lot I can track on here, and it gives a lot of helpful insights throughout the day. There are some things about the nutrition logging I would like added/changed but honestly this app has been my favorite so far compared to the popular ones, it doesn’t force you to pay for any of the features that all other tracking apps lock. Amazing job to the team behind this.Version: 2.5.9
Incredible app and exciting visionI’ve tried practically every fitness gadget and app on the market e.g. Whoop, Oura, Fitbit…you name it. I have a high bar for fitness apps because I use them multiple times a day, and I don’t want to spend time navigating ugly, buggy and hard to use UI. This app not only delivers above and beyond anything I’ve tried, it does so with a meticulous attention to detail that really shows. There are still some kinks to iron out, but that’s hardly worth noting for an app out publicly for only a few months. I’m really excited by the direction and potential of this app! Keep up the great work..Version: 1.2.12
Absolute gamechanger for Oura usersSix stars. I was ready to throw out my Gen 2 Oura ring after months of seeing important metrics being horribly distorted by both gaps in nighttime readings and too much fiddling by Oura with the raw data it does collect. As of February, Bevel now takes your raw data direct from Oura (no more need to go through Apple Health distortion) and applies a much more accurate interpolation. If you want real numbers, especially from "noisy nights" this is a must have. Free version is fine, no need to add coaching for me, Oura's was just annoying. Great work by Bevel, now Oura is back to the serious health tool it started as..Version: 2.5.4
Great except for optimizationApp is great, good design but some functions I feel like could be optimized to take fewer clicks to get to. Love the easy journaling. Only problem is how the app feels slightly heavy when it comes to performance. I use iPhone 14PM and it’s 3 years old but performance is good enough for vast majority of apps. This app feels slightly laggy on my phone and is using a ton of power. I played around for 40 mins at initial setup and it used 37 percent of battery which is nuts. I hope the devs can put in more work to make it feel more snappy and more energy efficient, other than that it’s awesome..Version: 2.4.1
The ai intergrated is like nothing elseI never write reviews but in the new update they rolled out the ai feature and it blows my mind. This is years ahead of its time. I explained to the app why my recovery score is low due to congestion and they told me exactly what i was asking about on how hard to take it. Also have your data all in one with sleep recovery and ur workouts is genius these people have something good in there future. Also the price is incredible (if it doesn’t change) worth it. I think it’s 100% worth if it of the data interests you and want to live a healthier life.Version: 2.2.4
Great for fitness readinessFor ones looking for alternative to Garmin, Polar, or Suunto level fitness and training monitoring on Apple Watch, there are in my opinion two apps come close (not so close but ok): Superset and Athlytic. I hope more and more people use; this app has a great potential. Wish we had this kind of functionality in Apple Watch itself that we pay hundreds of dollars for. Apple should bundle their watches with apps like Superset (and give percentage to app developers). Overall this app is one of the golden ones that represents data in a very intuitive way. Thanks tons to the makers..Version: 1.0.16
Just Do It.Just like Whoop but way cheaper on an annual basis. I loved my Whoop but the annual price was just ludicrous. Bevel has been able to supplement 90-95% of the data that I would get from Whoop for 20% of the price. PLEASE UPDATE: The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the inability to update your sleep/naps to categorize them as either a sleep or nap. There are times where I fall asleep on the couch and it tracks that as my sleep for the night and then when I get into bed it tracks it as a nap so my recovery is messed up. The ability to manually go in and update the times in which you were asleep and categorize it as either sleep or nap would be HUGE..Version: 2.1.8
Incredible Health and Wellness AppI love this app. I can’t say enough great things about it. The AI companion is super helpful with helping me assess problem areas and brainstorm improvements, helps me understand cardio training and design workouts, helps me troubleshoot my sleep and recommends helpful habits. I am taking better care of myself than I ever have. Even without the AI tool, the data itself is super clear, the journaling tool is super easy and customizable (although i do wish we could add custom mood tags for the mood journal - the built ins generally don’t work for me). 10/10 recommend!.Version: 2.4.3
Incredible recovery trackingAmazing for recovery and sleep tracking, miles ahead of any comparable app I've seen within the App Store thus far. However, the workout section is a bit lacking. I currently use Strong premium, but I really want to switch to this because it just offers so much more. If there was a way to add custom exercises and designate "warmup sets", "super sets" (lol), and "drop sets", this would be an absolute winner. Cannot wait to see what this team does with this, I think with improvements to the workout tracking section as described it will put all other fitness apps to shame. Don't sleep on this!.Version: 1.1.4
