Misleading and FaultyThe AT&T 5G tower locations are not accurately represented in this app. According to a map shown to me by an AT&T representative yesterday, there are four 5G towers within a one-mile radius of my location. However, this app doesn’t display any 5G towers nearby. I purchased the 7-day subscription to evaluate the app’s features, but several functions do not work as expected. Many buttons return only error messages when pressed, and the AR feature is essentially unusable. It initially indicated a tower was 19 meters away, but as I walked toward it, the distance inexplicably increased to 110 meters. If you’re looking for reliable cellular signal information, I would advise against using this app. It’s misleading and falls short of its promises. It’s unfortunate that finding a trustworthy product often requires wasting time and money testing apps that aren’t ready for prime time. Consumers shouldn’t have to pay to be beta testers for incomplete or underdeveloped software. Unfortunately this is the world we live in. When everyone has the ability to develop an app, you end up with 900 different app options that state the exact same lie with a slightly different appearance. Ad overdose! Constant flashing alerts and fake mail messagesAll I was looking for was a simple app to show me where the closest 5G tower was. I installed the free version of this which promptly tried to get me to subscribe. The “mailbox “icon near the bottom of the screen will constantly flash bright red, claiming you qualified for $1000 gift card and other spam scams. The map direction does not update when you move the phone around which makes a difficult to use this app to point an antenna to the closest cell tower. Inaccurate data- uselessThis app isn’t good at all to be nice about it. It didn’t show cell towers that I knew where they were. It didn’t give accurate information about the cell towers, when it did show the locations. The ones that I already knew the information and was testing against. App is mostly worthlessThere are too many issues to list here. In essence, 5G (new Radio) doesn’t even show up on the app. There isn’t much info listed on each of the towers and several of the features of the app are non functional. Also, when using filters, it takes quite awhile to scroll through the provider list and when you find the right provider, it shows many multiples of the same provider with no distinguishing info so you don’t know what to select. Junk.Just downloaded the app and started to look at cell towers. It shows that the majority of the towers in my neighborhood are Sprint (many years ago absorbed by T-Mobile). No.This app was recommended in a couple of articles I had read about, so I got it and actually went ahead and subscribed for a week. It did not refresh correctly. It did not show where the towers were, and worst of all the compass was backwards. Right in the middle of a swamp. None of it is real. Not helpful in mountains. Expensive, especially for zero value.This app provides: - some useful information (carrier, lattitude, longitude, distance), - a lot of useless information (that is probably helpful to field engineers or network administrators, but not to end users -- like me), - but not any HELPFUL data. When I'm in the mountains, looking for a good signal, knowing the lat/long or distance to a tower is not helpful if I can't connect to it. No benefit from premiumI paid for the premium subscription to lookup a tower by carrier. The app shows the carrier by MCC and MNC but there is no way to limit the map to just that carrier.
