Extremely difficult to useIt's very hard to play music on here, if you play music then switch out of the app, then come back to it to choose another song, it simply will not play. No matter how many times you click the play button, it will not play, forcing you to completely close the app - and most of the time that still wont even work. You have to play another song, wait for it to load for a long time, and when its playing, click the song you originally wanted so you can play it. That is the huge issue, you shouldnt have to learn its quirks and work around it, it should just be plug and play, click and play. No fumbling around, waiting several minutes for a short song to play while you have full bars and connected to wifi. This app just doesnt work how you want it to most of the time. Which is a shame because i love the format of it, i love how you can choose songs from many different sources, and customization is great even for a free user. Please fix this bug.I like this app, no annoying adds, dont have to pay to listen to certain songs like other apps like “SoundCloud” etc. BUT theres a few bugs and the most annoying one is : When I favorite a song and/or add it to a playlist, it randomly gets removed from the playlist AND my favorites, so if i cabt remember the name of the song I cant even look for it because its not in my favorites anymore. Another bug that bothers me is when i search up a song and let it play, once its finished, it continues on to play song that i ahve saved, instead of playing similar music to the song that i played. I remember Musi had that good feature of playing similar music after the song you played finished and i really liked it because I could find similar music to my liking. A few suggestions that could make the app better: Add music to play offline, Have an option where we can look at songs that we recently played even if we didnt have them saved. Great app, not so great freeI have used this app for nearly two years now. I have enjoyed every aspect of it and thoroughly used all of the features. I have it set up for premium on my main account, but due to being locked out from updating any of my apps, I had to switch to a different account that does not have premium, and I cannot afford to pay for the lifetime subscription anymore. That being said, the only thing I do not enjoy is that it stops background play completely. That is the main reason I was even using it because I cannot afford anything else. I will unfortunately be switching apps now because of this. It was a very good run that I had with it, but until I can afford to purchase premium again, I will be using something else. World Class!I’ve been using Demus on my MBA, and I absolutely love it! It’s a great overall experience. I personally just shuffle my playlists, which can be imported from Musi too which I am very happy about :). It’s a simple app and no music ads. What is SO cool about it is that the little music player is Apple Music-like in terms of look and functionality, letting you see similar songs to the one playing and lyrics that follow along with the song, I love it!! What really bothers me on the MacBook though is that I can’t control the music with the media keys on the keyboard, as it always just opens Apple Music. The music doesn’t show up as a “Now Playing” on the Mac, I guess that’s related to the issue. An alternative if that cant be fixed is the ability to picture-in-picture and re-size the little music player and be able to pin it on top of all the windows for a cool way to also see and control the music ur playing..WC :]Version: 1.6.35

I love DemusDemus is an amazing app. I don’t have the money right now to buy premium, but honestly, it’s perfectly functional without it. And don’t get me wrong - it’s not at all expensive, I’m just broke, lol. And the advertisements are not at all distracting or in your face. The way in which it’s formatted, and how premium adds to the app but it isn’t unusable without it, is incredibly ethical and useful considering the commercial and monetary priorities that monopoly developers hold in this day and age. It’s perfect and suits all my needs, and is very impressive as a solo project. I have been struggling to find a music streaming platform that isn’t incredibly obnoxious and transparently money grabbing. If you have too, I’m telling you, this is the one. Underrated!I never write reviews, and I was honestly hesitant to try this app since it doesn’t have that many ratings, but I’m so glad I did. My experience has been amazing so far. I’m genuinely surprised more people aren’t talking about it. The UI is super clean and visually appealing. Great, but a few issues..I’m not sure if this issue is intentional, but when I shuffle my playlist and have it on while I’m doing other stuff on my phone, it’ll stop the shuffle and just stop playing music in general, that’s my only issue with this app, I love everything about it as someone who used to listen to music on Musi, which got deleted sadly.. On there I could shuffle the songs without interruptions, it isn’t ads playing that interrupts it, it’s literally just that the shuffle stops in general for no reason, and another problem that can occur is that a song will just skip randomly or not play at all, it will not load or play during a shuffle.. Musi’s sister app!!!I was def skeptical at first because I didn’t want to purchase the subscription. It’s only 1.99 a month!! Not bad at all!! And you can transfer all your Musi playlists into this app. I just got a new phone and i was stressing about which music app to go to next and this one is AMAZING. You can stream off of wifi as well. I tried Musicana, and I couldn’t even stream songs off of wifi which sucked. BUT All my songs and playlists transferred to Demus within seconds. There is a specific option to transfer your songs from musi, just by using the playlist link!! I appreciate how easy they made it. Best out thereI love love this app, I appreciate the endless amount of music provided (few bugs that say error if a song won’t play) I don’t get any ads. I love all the access to unreleased music. Problems I’ve had which are fairly recent is that when I play any song regardless if on playlist, in the collection, or after I search it up I have to press play and even that wouldn’t be such a big deal if after a song plays it would play the next song. It will just endlessly play the same song over and over unless I skip it, only then will it play the next song. Which is honestly disappointing because I love this app! LOVEEE!!!I really like this app, such a good free music streaming service. I'm always skeptical of free music apps but this one surpassed my expectations. The developer contacted me, which I was originally going to ignore but after trying the app I don't regret it. Its a really good alternative to apple music, for a price of $0. Some features Id like to see would be Siri compatibility because I don't think that's a feature yet. Could be betterIt’s okay. That’s really it. I guess i shouldn’t expect much from a Musi dupe, but I would love it if my playlists were fully imported. I imported a playlist with 530 songs and I only got 200 of them. This also happened to me with a larger playlist (2000 ish songs to 830 only). All the songs and lyrics load all the time which I find annoying. There’s no feature to request a song that they don’t have. When I added songs to a playlist, they didn’t include them and I had to add them again(sometimes repeatedly). Playlists have never fully been imported, I’ve tried everything. The “add to playlist” button when you save a song from “add music” doesn’t work properly either. I really tried to like this app, but I think I’ll have to find something else. Offline feature and be able to create an account!I love this app, I just wish I had an offline feature where you could download the music off-line in case you don’t get good reception are you going on a trip with no service or something because I’m mostly go out on trips and my reception is always bad and I work in the area that has not that much service so it’s hard to listen to music. Love app, wish it supported offline streamingI've had the app for a couple of months now, and while I had the free version, the ads weren't too crazy to handle. I eventually decided to pay for the lifetime service, and so far haven't been disappointed. I do sincerely wish there was a way to keep my music available offline, I like to take roadtrips with my music on, but whenever I try and hit a no signal zone it just stops playing and won't even load. Pretty good app, a major bugThere is a lag when listening to a playlist. At first I thought it was my cell connection, but it persisted even on WiFi. It’s annoying to have to restart. It will trick you because the first song plays smoothly sometimes, only to have it get hung up on the second or third. This is consistent no matter how many times I restart it. Love itIt's very rare to find something this convenient on the App Store. No issues or bugs so far, the app is true to its word and does not have any advertisements that interrupt music. The actual ads are not disruptive and visual-only. The app itself is easy to navigate with many of the basic features on other platforms. Love it, but skips songsIt’s not all the time, but sometimes when I’m listening to one of my playlists and a song ends it’ll jump to some other song in the playlist instead of playing the one that was supposed to be next, if that makes sense? Also, if I wanted to replay a song and hit the back button it’ll jump to the song before it, and just won’t play the song again. I’d have to go into the song history and select the song myself in order to replay it, which bothers me a lot. Other than these issues, I love it very much! I love this app and I’ve been using it for five months, however these are my problems.1. when I go to my listening history it only shows the first 3-4 songs, instead of my actual recent listening history 2. It defaults to the add music tab in the background when I fullscreen the music player 3. Love the app, however…This app is great everything this app does is amazing, however after idling away from the app for a while to do other things on your phone, the app closes and you have to go back into the app and find your song again. This is annoying as when I try to play a song by pressing the “play” button on my AirPods it doesn’t do anything cause the app closed. Crash & serious bugsIt’s an amazing app! I’ve had it for a few months now, and I enjoy using it. I just wish this bug would be fixed. Big playlist crash the app.This and the fact that not all songs can be found is the only problems I’ve faced. My playlist that I’ve transferred over with 5k songs crashes the app from trying to load every song. Before I would I have to wait like 5-10 seconds for the playlist to load and it would work but now after I wait and click shuffle, the app crashes not even a minute into the song. Demus not workingI have been using this app since December of 2025 and its been good to me until feb 1st i was playing my music as usual but it stopped playing all of a sudden and now it says to sign in to my account with every song and when i click on the video section it says “sign in to confirm you’re not a bot” and proceeds to skip the songs, mind you i am signed in and I even tried to delete and download again but the same thing keeps popping up..Geekd831Version: 2.0.6

AI Audio Dubbing BugSome songs are playing in German instead of the original language. It seems to be happening with specific videos that have Y**Tube's AI auto-dubbing enabled — the app is picking up the dubbed audio track instead of the original. It would be great if Demus could add audio track selection so users can choose the original language. It makes certain songs unlistenable right now. Great appI downloaded because my friend recommended it and it’s similar to Musi which recently got taken down from the App Store. Nevertheless, I’ve fallen in love with this app, there’s no ads and the audio is high quality. I also like their organization with artists, as you can find every release of any artist you can think of, which helps make playlists easier. Its GUI is friendly and easy to understand. Good app, just has lag issuesI started using this app a few months ago thanks to a friend recommending it to me, and I think it’s really good. I use it almost daily. My only real problem is that it tends to lag my devices very badly if I have the app open for more than a few minutes. Great substitute for Musi!I immediately bought the premium for this app because I knew I would love it. Sound quality is great, finding music is way easier and much more appealing than Musi ever was, plus it lets you look at specific artists or albums. Been using Demus since the start, here’s what I thinkI’ve been using Demus since shortly after it released, and it’s by far the best music app I’ve used. Many things have changed since it released, but all of them are improvements and now, it has nearly everything I like in a music app for free. I’d recommend premium though, not because it’s needed to have a good experience but because it supports the continued existence of this app, and the premium adds some nice, non-necessary, features that I haven’t seen before. The pros: It’s free with no adds, and has everything you need for free, simple as. But here’s one niche upsides: do to it using YouTube for the library it has nearly every song including ones that are hard to find/nonexistent on platforms like Spotify (I know because I listen to a lot of artists that don’t have well preserved early years, and on the major platforms those songs are mostly not there). With the current state of Demus, there is very little for the cons since with each update the app is improved. However, there are still a few: sometimes it’ll have the wrong artist credited for a song, but this has only happened to me a couple times, and usually happens with songs that are very similar (eg overlap with the name of the song and the artist(s) who made the song). sometimes it’ll have the wrong lyrics/none. it’ll occasionally have semi unreliable streaming, but it usually fixes itself in at most a couple minutes. the playlist sharing is a bit cumbersome, you get a file you need to download then share to your Demus, but this really isn’t much of a problem just a bit annoying. Although, I should add the needing to download the file also serves as an archive of the playlist. What I’d like to see: a rudimentary account feature would be nice just to make it easier to have your playlists on multiple devices, and track progress for wrapped (personally neither of these affect me, but I can see them being a problem for some). And I would have put: “it would be nice if there was a wrapped” but in the 1.6.7 update that small thing was added, and it’ll now be here for 2025 (and presumably the following years). My New Fav Music AppI listen to music all the time, whether i’m hanging out with friends or in general chilling at home, but there are always annoying advertisements while i’m listening to my songs, until i found out about Demus. Unlike many music apps such as Spotify and Apple Music, Demus has everything you want, FOR FREE! I can shuffle my music, no ads, i can even loop playlists and even songs endlessly. Great! Mostly.The app does work great, fantastic replacement for Musi now that it doesn’t exist anymore. Sure it has its flaws; it’ll sometimes skip a second on the song, sometimes it just pauses it for no reason like a ghost is touching my phone which is a little annoying especially when I’m listening to music while busy, sometimes it’ll play the music video version of a song when I’m trying to listen to an album. More recently, I opened the app to see the message that I now have premium, the free trial it keeps showing me most likely, I did not sign up for or agree to premium and cannot afford to be using premium, so I’m a little upset and panic-y because I don’t know how to cancel that or how it even happened in the first place. Loving the app! Just one little issue…Hey! I’m really loving this app, the layout is nice, it’s easy to navigate, and it has a lot of songs thanks to comparability with YouTube! I’m glad you can import playlists from Musi too since that app disappeared recently. The one thing that really irritates tea me though is the “auto add to queue” thing. Sometimes when I’m hopping around songs in a playlist, the next song won’t be in order. It’ll play the last song I selected before switching to another, and it’s quite annoying. I’ve done some research and it seems to be because when you tap a song, it adds the previous one to a queue? Something like that. SOMEHOW my playlist reverted to my old ones from a year ago (it DELETED ALL newer playlists & songs)For some reason all my recent playlists deleted and somehow my playlist reverted to my old playlists from a year again and im so upset because I had so much songs and the way i organized them took me so long, I create playlists for my favorite songs of each month and iv been doing it since September 2025 till April 2026 and im so upset that I don’t get that back. Another thing is— sometimes the songs dont play and it said that the song is play but for some reason I don’t hear anything and I have to close the app multiple times and then it just skips the song because there a “issue” or sometimes it doesn’t play at all and just skips to the next song. And sometimes when you wanna look at the lyrics it’s either delayed or the wrong lyrics. And you know I don’t really have an issue with that, because I can look it up myself and it rarely happens. But the main thing I didn’t like was somehow all my playlist were GONE! And reverted to the old playlists I had from a year again, and mine you i didnt have many songs or playlists on them. I loved this app so much, but with that glitch or whatever that was. UPDATE: It's all gone.This app was incredible, I gave it 5 stars, and it generally did every single last thing I could have asked for it to. Unfortunately, even though I did not switch my Apple account or anything of the sort, it deleted all of my playlists containing at least 10,000 songs after an update during which it somehow deleted itself. I have backups of some of the playlists, but not all of them. Even though I can see the data is saved to iCloud and should be able to be accessed, Demus just refuses on its own behalf to load all my playlists.
