Very well designed game so far.Very satisfied with how well the devs respond to surveys and reviews so far. I noticed that world chat has been changing over the last few days. It’s really annoying that words get censored out that shouldn’t be censored at all. I understand this isn’t necessarily an adults game. But the majority of people playing this game are adults from my experience. It would be great to have two separate world chats. One for kids under the age of 18 and one for adults that has to verify your age because we talk about a lot of stuff and joke around a lot. My entire guild and all the guilds we talk to are full of adults. Majority of us dont want the chat to be censored so much and we have issues with that. We dont want this game to be so hard to communicate freely because words aren’t being understood. That is my one issue so far. So please think about it, that would be a great feature for the grown ups and adults who put so much time and money into the game. Another thing. Would also be great to see more ship ascensions into bigger longer naval ships such as ones the military uses to give it a more realistic feel as well as being able to add more weapons and perks than what is currently allowed so that maximum damage output can be achieved as well as looking awesome while taking down enemies. Super addicting and fun!I recently downloaded High Seas Hero and began playing immediately. The game starts with minimal explanation, which made it a bit challenging to understand initially. However, once I familiarized myself with the mechanics, I found it to be quite straightforward and enjoyable. Additionally, the music enhances the overall experience. The music is awesome and adds to the experience! I love that there are no random ads popping up, and it doesn’t feel pay-to-win, which is a huge plus. There are tons of things to collect, which can get a little confusing, but it keeps the gameplay interesting. Just when you think you’ve figured it all out, there’s more to discover! The only thing I’m not a big fan of is the live chat being right there while I play—it’s a little distracting. Huge need of info on this game works.I’ve been playing this game since July. I’ve only missed logging again two days in the entire time. I’ve spent more money than I care to admit on upgrades and packages. But the developers of this game refused to give information on how all the different options we have as far as weapons and equipment and boat attributes truly affect the gameplay. Literally everyone guesses at what they think is gonna work best. It’s trial and era and then when the next update comes everything gets Nerf that was working. Then comes the payroll. It’s SimpleIt’s simple. This is a simple game, you build your boat from this fledgling dingy to a star destroyer. Slaying all manner of mechanical kaju to proceed further and gain even greater strength. So why is it that I can’t use the auto farming feature? All because I have a too many Arena tickets? TOO ADDICTINGYou have been warned!! I don’t usually play games on my phone, except when I’m doing something with the military. Seems like almost every game now requires service so they can throw ads in your face and it’s pay to play. This game is graphically appealing, and fast paced. I love how the developers give you the option of watching ads, yet I constantly find myself unlocking free rewards to where I don’t even need to watch an ad. Deceptively deep gameTo start, I have played 288 days consecutive on this game. Most aspects of this game are great. Visuals are nice, upgrading feels good and worth while. Had many hours just trying to improve on my most recent fights. Server battles are fun with very little matchmaking. Which I like to see where I stand against other players. Now to gripes, once you hit a certain stage in the game you have a hard time advancing, Especially in PvP. Fight a lot of players that have better gear than me bc trans and immortal gear has been removed? No amount of spending can catch me up to what these players have. Games gotten better with each updateWhen this game first came out a lot of people tried it out but it got old real fast for players. People left and complained that there was no end goal. No guild battles and no real connection between guilds and people. Well the people have spoken and the creators have been updating the game a lot recently. Guild battles are officially a thing now. Good game butI have been playing for almost 4 months and I love the game however, every update affects battle outcome then you have to deal with it for the next week waiting on a update. Great gameI started this game to pass the time needed something to entertain myself with. It’s become a bit more than just a game some cool people a lot of tasks. The guilds are fun to be part of. And it’s similar but better than ROK, 1st it doesn’t take 48 hours just on your 2nd upgrade, 2nd you have the cabin which you can maintain and upgrade, and lastly, there’s an auto forge, it’s amazing but I wish there was a filter on which you could put it to where if it has lower than 3 higher attributes than the equipment you have sell it. Exceptional GameI don’t normally write reviews, but this one absolutely deserves 5 stars. Century Games are the only people who are able to create a mobile game experience that I thoroughly enjoy. High Seas Hero and Whiteout Survival are definitely some of the best games they’ve ever made. A great game, ruined by P2WIt pains me to give this game a bad review, but it’s gone downhill. This was once an amazing game, it was fun, made a lot of great friends, and never felt pressured to spend money on anything. Then the devs did what most do, and ignored their player community. Every update sets the game back, it’s driven servers to wastelands with no one left, and everything costs money. You used to be able to compete and stay at the top without spending any money, this is impossible now, and there’s not even a little difference in power, there’s a lot to where you have zero chance to play PvP or advance in the campaign. Strategy and builds are so unbalanced now, stats make no sense, and what works for someone else may not work for you….even if you have all the same stuff. My advice to any new player, just don’t play it. They continue to update the game, and make it worse, and everything they change makes everything you have built seemingly useless unless you spend more money. I don’t even mean a little money, I mean a paychecks worth of items you need to rebuild your fleet, even then, you’ll still be way behind. BUT if you want an unbalanced game and endless cash to invest, you’ll still may just have a good time, just be prepared to eventually be in an empty server with no one to play with, leaving you alone with your $20,000 fleet and more updates for you to flush your investment down the drain..SnappyFergusonVersion: 1.0.67

Buggy Game + Money Focused Goals from a spender POVVery fun game when you are in the number 1 guild in your server. I’m top 5 in my server and the top 20-50 are in the same guild. The reason being is that spenders are rewarded more by being in the same guild. Guild member interactions are fun and the main thing keeping me hooked in the game, along with the discord community. However this leads to the top guild destroying the server, because you have the best players in 1 guild and even then the balancing of pvp allows a higher leved player decimate a whole guild aka 1v80. For example a lvl 25 base is capable of fighting off 80 players that have lvl 21 bases. The cons are mainly the bugs, there are so many you can write a book. I recommend joining the discord, just to scratch the surface on how many. The dev team have made a good effort in correcting bugs recently, but there is just so many that it is hard to catch with the pace of fixing bugs and releasing new content. Management needs to have devs focus on fixing a lot of bugs, but currently are very clearly focused on prioritizing money over a quality game. Also the dev team is facing waves of chargebacks from spenders and lose the claims, because they are essentially selling you an apple, then when you receive the apple, it’s spoiled. Extremely p2w. These types of games are so predatoryAt first the game seems fun and its nice to get stronger and see numbers go up. However once you get to a certain point in the server it ultimately comes down to who ever paid the most wins and can do anything they want to anyone without any repercussions. The server I played in was constantly being attacked by people who have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars and most people ended up quitting the game because no one could defend themselves and their bases were constantly being burned to the ground. There is no way anyone can defend themselves if they are being attacked by pay to win players. This type of game is just extremely predatory and the developers know what they are doing. Like most mobile games, they only cater to those that give them the most money. In addition there are plenty of bugs and exploits that have not been addressed by the developers but honestly that isn’t my biggest gripe with the game, Its the pay to win factor. I am tired of falling for the trap of these types of games and I highly recommend looking into a game with these sort of elements before you drop any sort time or money on it. Latest update ruined the gameThis game had been pretty fun and interesting up until the latest update. They introduced a new mechanic where in order to upgrade your forge you need specific engine level upgrades. This has entirely destroyed the pace of the game for me and I am about to quit alongside many in my guild. The engine requirements are insane, I currently cannot upgrade until my engine is at level 18, it is currently at 15. Every individual upgrade will take over 48 hours to complete, before I can even start that I have to upgrade other ship components multiple times that will add up to about a days worth of time. This has to happen between every engine level upgrade, now - instead of working towards earning money which has basically been made useless - it will take me over a week of literally waiting and not being able to play the game before I can marginally increase my forge performance by .5% This decision is actually insane and gives the impression that the developers genuinely dont like you if you dont spend money on the game to bypass this new obstacle. Double charges, constant rework of purchased itemsThis game was decent when I began playing 4-5 months ago, before I knew how bad it actually was. Firstly, when you purchase any item, beware of possible double charges. And because the charges are grouped together and have such vague names without dates, it’s hard to notice at first. The developers bank on players not noticing & dealing with grouped purchase notifications. Secondly, you can spend however much money you’d like on this game, it won’t matter in 2 months when they rework the entire thing & refuse to give you compensation for useless items. Thirdly, this game is predatory with how they offer items for purchase. They have items RIGHT NEXT TO EACHOTHER with different pricepoints, making it look like you’re getting a larger quantity for more money, when in reality you’re getting the same quantity. Time-consuming dailies and p2w, just avoidBeginning parts are fun because you’re constantly progressing. Within a week, though, you get to a point where you upgrades easily take over a day. Improved gear becomes sparse unless you start paying money, so your ability to progress in the PvE part of things really slows down a LOT. The daily stuff takes way too much active time while also being just repetitive. To even roll for gear you have to have the game open, and rolling for gear is the mechanic for gaining experience too. There’s PvP on a map, and P2W really hurts everything here. On top of that, you need to get into an established or large guild or you can just get bullied. Even on a new server, guilds full of players who sink money into the game will steamroll over you — you have literally no chance unless you are ALSO in a guild of people dumping money into the game. A few months ago they literally revoked items that cost over $100 to buy, and gave a garbage compensation. They constantly change the strength of in game content to make you feel weak so you feel compelled to buy more. Additionally they revoked access to the strongest tier of weapons after they had released them making it impossible to upgrade them. And guess what… since different servers have had access to different content it’s ridiculously imbalanced. It seems like a ship vs boss game, then it’s a ship building sim, then it’s a guild-based raiding game with resource gathering. To make resources easier to get, you’re offered to buy packs. Buying packs starts off easy and fun, eventually the addicts get sorted out and identified. Those are the target players the game is built for. The reason there are different servers is that the sweet spot is about 5-15 people competing over being the biggest and eventually spending thousands per month on packs compete with the others. Everyone else on the server feeds their ego and keeps them addicted. You make more servers to make sure that the pool of players is small on each server, to keep the top spot on the server within reach. These games should be banned. Greediest mobile mmorpg to dateThey milked the game dry in the first week of release. Despite multiple beta runs there’s still severely broken parts of the game that just don’t make sense outside of baiting you to spend money. Century Games made 1 billion ($1,000,000,000) off of Whiteout Survival in 17 months. There is no excuse to be so greedy off a title you bought from another publisher. They’ll reply saying they gave rewards for rate change hotfix on supplies, but they gutted the rate gain on multiple resources by more than 50%. Giving players resources they burn in minutes does not suffice for that. Especially for other players who put money into the game (thankfully not me.) Half of these bot reviews have advertisement names for their other games. I’d say it’s laughable but it’s near scary and most definitely degenerate. They changed rewards for week long events at the last minute to slow down progress. They increase values of regular processes during events to encourage spending money. They continue to tighten the hose sort-to-speak on the flow of the game for F2P. FixI really enjoy this game and I’ve put a lot of time into it, but there are several issues that need attention. Upgrading takes way too long, especially in later stages. On top of that, the constant switch up of how upgrades work is frustrating. Putting in the time and resources to max something out, only for the next update to reset it and force you into a completely new upgrade system where you have to start from zero, gets old fast. Most servers only have one active guild, and mine is the only active one on my entire server. Guild wars also happen so often that there’s barely any time to rebuild your ships before getting wiped again by higher level guilds. Features like being able to see where your guild members are on the map when they aren’t in your immediate cluster would help teamwork a lot. Guild chat also gets buried in constant notification messages, which makes actual communication harder. And like someone else said in one of the other reviews, once your server is dead, all your work is for nothing. Pink chips were the best you could get and cost over $100 on new servers and over $200 on older servers. Some players received barely 1/10 of what they purchased in reimbursements for the new chip system. If you decide to get a refund, they will ban your account from being able to play. This game also had treasures which you could slowly unlock by completing missions. I had all of them unlocked and now treasures have to be bought with real money to unlock.
