Good app BUT…I like the calendar feature on this app and the daily cards are cute too, but I don’t like how sometimes the app cards will feature Japan exclusive content and events when we don’t have access to those things in countries like America for example. I get that Nintendo is a Japanese company but it would be nice to get content specific to the region you’re in. I also think that while the cards are cute having just a few more on there or even some more interactive cards would be nice. Overall I do like the app and the cards remind me of how the Nintendo website was when I was a kid but with the added functionality of a daily calendar. Hopefully more themes can be added soon like maybe a tomodachi life theme or even a fire emblem theme would be nice!.E4moeVersion: 3.1.1

Barebones in its current stateI love Nintendo and their games, so Miyamoto showing up at the end of today’s Direct made me ecstatic… only for it to be a reveal for Nintendo’s third Switch-tied app. Downloaded it out of curiosity, and at the moment that’s all it is. A curio for Nintendo fans. At least in my opinion, real life events and holidays should have been mixed in with Nintendo game events, to make the calendar actually useful to check in your day to day, with the added benefit of cute Nintendo characters showing up on it. Instead, unless your whole life revolves around new SNES games coming to NSO, it’s not practical at all. Notifications are nice, but if you have them on for multiple things I could see it getting annoying with sound on. It would be like getting buzzed from 10 different apps except they’re all actually one app. The activities in your feed are fine but why they take up the vertical calendar widget space is beyond me, oh boy a new Mario render I’ve seen before, how newsworthy. So as of the day it was announced, this is almost entirely useless, and if the Switch Online app is anything to go by, I doubt Nintendo will be in a hurry to improve it. Great app because I love learning about Mario, Kirby, and Zelda games.This app is super cool because there’s so much Mario, Zelda, and Kirby stuff. It has never glitched for me. I do have 2 ideas for your next 2 free to play mobile games. My first game idea is a yarn Yoshi one that is in the same style of Yoshi’s Wooly world and it being a regular platformer that is not auto run but with some features similar to ones in Mario run like a kingdom editor, fun secrets, and easier gameplay than other yarn Yoshi games but still has lots of replayability. You could also get different colors and patterns of Yoshis. It could be called Yoshi’s Crocheted World. My second one is a Mario Maker game for mobile, which could be called Super Mario Maker Mobile. It should have eight playable characters (because in Super Mario Maker 2, I thought 4 was too little), each with different abilities; Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Yoshi, Peach, Daisy, and my favorite character, Rosalina. It should have seven game styles; Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Land, Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario 3D world, and Super Mario Galaxy. This game should also have a story mode, this time with a up to 4 player multiplayer mode, with Wario as the one who took over Daisy’s castle and captured Daisy, and Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Rosalina getting the coins needed to restore the castle by doing tasks, finding Wario and saving Daisy, and by saving Daisy, unlocking her as a playable character (she would be the only unlockable character). Toad and Toadette will have the same roles as they did in Super Mario Maker 2’s story mode. Thanks for reading my review and game ideas! Please make at least one into a mobile game! Something to look forward to in the morningOne of my favorite things about the is that it has a theme you could choose so if you’re a hard-core Zelda fan like me, you could get special animations off of different characters in the morning with special animations for that character with tons of useful information like all the games that came out on that day. This is always something for me to look forward to in the morning and if you just want a calendar based off your favorite game, then you can use that too. It always allows you to get reminders on certain events. I think this would be perfect for certain users it’s super fun and I suggested to all fans of Nintendo classic games.My favorite  calendarVersion: 3.2.0

Lots of Nintendo charm, but lack of practical useConceptually I think this app is very cool, getting news and concept material is great for any hardcore Nintendo fan. The animations are flashy and very entertaining. In a personal sense I’m glad it exists, but for the casual audience there is very little incentive to get this app. Most of the major news is inevitably going to get posted to other social media platforms like Twitter/X and everything else is pretty inconsequential to the average person. Overall I’m happy with the app but needs improvement. Good app and good priceGood app. But y’all the switch 2 is at a good price it’s got 120 fps and a 1080p screen and a dock that can make it better (depending on your tv) the games with switch two editions cost more because they give you more stuff, but Zelda’s is bad, the only thing I will use it for is voice memory’s, but it’s included in Nintendo Switch online + expansion…which I have so I don’t really care. Plus this isn’t the place to complain about it, do it somewhere else. Super cool and feels necessaryThis app does good at what it sets out to do, marking all of the dates where a Nintendo related event should happen, such as game releases and Nintendo Directs, and it’s definitely useful and should be downloaded by any active Nintendo fan. It’s also able to notify you when an in-game event happens in certain games, such as game event in Super Mario Run, and even notifies you of limited time Nintendo Switch Online icons. That could’ve been it, but they also decided to offer custom themes, wallpapers, widgets, and overall they took a good idea and maximized its potential. They just don't use it enoughI used to adore the app and happily open it every day, was so happy seeing little tidbits and fun of Fire Emblem and Mario and Kirby and Xenoblade and more But they just don't use it for news anymore. There's never any updates on upcoming games like Fortune's Weave or Splatoon Raiders, they did the Tomodachi Life direct but never followed up with extra screenshots and info on the app, and then worst of all they had an app icon and announcement for a "Nintendo Direct", only for it to just.. be a really bad partners showcase with no Nintendo news. Fantastic app but pls include certain thingsI would really like a widescreen player mode for videos. I know I’m not the only one but having to watch a video with my phone upright instead of moving it horizontally for a wider picture is brutal. This is an easy fix. Another UI thing, I know it’s probably a lot but c’mon we need some music in this app. Just a standard Nintendo-like jingle on the main page would really do wonders for the presentation. Hmm… Nintendo a little help here?I’m gonna cut to the chase, I logged into my Nintendo account (or at least tried) I had put the email and password in and everything!but it said “an error accrued try again later” like uhm- what?And I was able to only log in on my IPAD which isn’t ideal For me because I use my phone more. So it’s obviously not the account it’s got something to do with my device maybe? Great app but a few suggestionsI love this app but I have a few notes u could work on to make it even better. 1. There’s no sound for the apps videos if your phone is on silent mode. You could put a toggle in the settings for sound so people who want to listen to the wonderful music can and there phone is still in silent mode. 2. This one is not as major but I was fairly dissappointed when I didnt see some of your major games like Pokemon or Xenoblade as one of the choices to be in the background. When are we getting the iPad app?I think this is an interesting app that is useful sometimes but also gimmicky. I really don’t know why Nintendo apps are only compatible with iPhone (Except the Switch App), and it’s really stupid that a fix isn’t added. The iPad came out forever ago, and even I know it would be easy just make an app that works with it. I think this app was a cool idea, but there isn’t enough to keep me opening it every day. Need some accessibility workI downloaded this app last night and I understand it’s a brand new app so I can’t fault Nintendo for this. However, I had to label the buttons at the bottom of the page or should I say the app because I didn’t know what they were. My speech was trying to read them and I had to do some labeling for the buttons so that my speech would read them. I use VoiceOver on an iPhone SE three. I’m really hoping that Nintendo will at least go in and make some adjustments for those of us who use either magnification, braille, or speech output such as voiceover. FantasticI’m a huge Nintendo nerd, but I avoid social media because it’s just alot. This app is literally the perfect solution for me. I love getting to see announcements on my favorite games, and little interviews they share all the time are so much fun. Fun and interactive little news app. New update fixes issues.I love how interactive the app is and how good the feel is. Upon entering it, Mario pops up from below to serve as a little jumpscare, and you get to choose how you customize your calendar preferences. Ever since I joined Twitter last year, I only saw Nintendo post there or through Instagram. They share what new announcements they had to offer, but the lack of diversity for Twitter today is minimal and really small. Nintendo only posts on most social media outlets, but they never made an app so that they can keep it all in one place. Now that Nintendo Today is here, basically all the Nintendo news is directly at the palm of your hand and finger tips! The app is simple, it’s expressive and intuitive, it’s also iconic let’s not forget. Very amazing appThis app is really amazing. Great app!I have a few problems with the app. Recently Apple has added new restrictions, and I am under a restricted device. Could you change the age rating to 10+ or something? Amazing, but…I love this concept of delivering new and all games-related content. My only complaint is that you’re not showing a list (or tab) of released games marked on a calendar, even for indie or third-party titles, even if it’s a very small game. Shuffling themesI love that you can choose a theme to go with your Nintendo calendar, but I’ve got some pretty cool improvements such as. shuffling through the game themes every time you open that app. How there is an option “display randomly without selecting” and I think it changes every day but I want to see every game and it’s own animation and going though the setting and choosing the game each time is just kinda annoying. It's a good app, but it's newThe app is still relatively new and needs fine tuning, but it's incredibly useful. It allows me to view in-game events and activities as well as dares for things such as smaller nintendo directs. The main things keeping my rating down are the facts that there isn't a system that allows you to view smaller things such as concept arts from previous dates, and that for some reason, the ausio won't play unless I have headphones in (and for apple phones, that can be a pain)..I play flute and tuba.Version: 1.0.4

Love the app!I started using the Nintendo Today! app as soon as it released on Switch 2 direct day, and immediately loved it. The different themes look great, and the calendar animations look amazing. Information inaccuracyThe Nintendo today app recently published an article about fire emblem awakening. The problem is, for a decade every official Nintendo media called Chrom the protons and Robin “Chrom’s ally” or “a secondary character” Today, the article came out and refers to Robin as the protagonist. This is inconsistent marketing, and is false marketing. Robin does not have the role of the protagonist, if you buy the game for that it is going to let down. Chrom is the protagonist and every official Nintendo media is consistent. The website, the awakening box and guide, even the super smash brothers articles about Chrom and Robin. Nintendo magazines in America, Japan, and Mexico. Even fire emblem heroes and fire emblem cipher as well as fire emblem engage. All Nintendo media has called Chrom the protagonist after 12 years of consistency only Nintendo today has ever been wrong f. Nintendo today is here to provide information but we now know you can not trust whoever writes these articles, or that they are false generated. They are either written by someone who never played the games or an AI. You can not trust the news from Nintendo today. It is worse when running a store, because they always tell you to promote the way they do, if they are inconsistent it is a bigger problem, risking us making mistakes due to their inconsistency, and our customers questioning us because initial release said one thing and they randomly got it wrong on their own app. It isn’t safe, and whoever wrote the article needs to be retrained..WhispisInVersion: 1.0.3

Missed Opportunity and Anti-ConsumerismNintendo Today is a great concept, but only remains that way as Nintendo fails to represent any meaningful content in their app as of the time I am writing this review. For example, information as simple as the pre-order date of Switch 2 and the price are completely omitted and in there place are some funny pictures of Nintendo characters in upcoming games. Furthermore, Nintendo hasn’t revealed much information about Mario Kart World justifying its extreme price jump to $80, leaving Nintendo fans in the dust about their games. That isn’t even going into the questionable UI where you have to continuously scroll down to get the information you want rather than organizing what you want to read by type. Waste of Time & SpaceWas really hoping this app would keep me up to date on all the latest Nintendo news, and not require I find things out from twitter. Unfortunately that’s not the case.
