Finally, an app from Instagram that’s not trying to be TikTok… oh waitOkay Instagram, I see what you did here — you looked at CapCut, whispered “me too please”, and dropped Edits like a surprise party no one asked for but kinda needed. To be fair, it’s actually… good. Surprisingly smooth, no crash (yet), and the tools are way better than I expected. The green screen works, the AI cutouts don’t butcher my face (mostly), and I managed to make a reel that didn’t look like it was edited in 2009. Would I say it’s a game-changer? Not yet. But would I keep using it instead of juggling 3 other apps just to post one video? Absolutely. Just one small request: dear developers, please keep it simple. Don’t bury the good stuff under 12 taps like you do in Instagram proper. Let this one breathe, okay? P.S. The “Made with Edits” tag is cute, but let’s not turn it into another clout metric. Great, but needs more.I’ve been playing with the app for the last few days and posted many videos. So far I love it! But there’s a few things that are missing that I hope get added in the future. Firstly, I would love to save my projects in the cloud! Sometimes I edit footage on more than one device and being able to pick up my edits on my iPad to do detail work and then come back to my phone to finish the project would be great! It would also be nice to have object tracking, i.e. pinning stickers or text to an object on the screen and have it track with that object. These things are already possible in other apps like Apple’s Clips app or CapCut. Having these features within Edits would make this the killer app for me..ShauntasticVersion: 378.0.0

Surprisingly Good for initial releaseTo start with the pros. Edits has probably the smoothest free timeline editor I’ve tried. It feels pretty precise. Like instagram its filters and video are great. Every other feature seems very polished for what is there. Now for the critiques. Right now it feels like a very limited but smooth version of CapCut (that finally has dark mode!) MY BIGGEST GRIPE is definitely the lack of keyframes. I believe that just adding this simple feature would take Edits from a pretty good timeline editor to a HEAVY HITTER against a CapCut. I wish you could upload your own fonts as you can only use provided fonts. While the feature set seems pretty good, I feel it lacks any unique features. It kinda just “gets the job done” I feel that if they were to add features that set it apart from any other editor that could definitely encourage people to ditch their old editors to jump to this new one. Overall I feel that Edits has a LOT of great potential. If they act quick and decisive adding key features like keyframes, custom fonts, and more unique features that set it apart from any other editor, Edits could be an INCEDIBLE and preferred editor for any phone editor. Good app as a startAt the beginning first release it’s a good app for editing with almost all basic features. It need to add many other features that I think it’s a must be in the next updates: 1- add templates feature ( same from Instagram or create templates) 2- as a video creator we need to search bar to see ideas about something, now scrolling show random trending video with trending sounds ( if you combine search with trending audio and reels will be great) 3- collaborations projects still not available 4- add key frame for videos 5- overlay videos with modes like darken.. 6- ability to design a custom intro for a reel that can be used in the future 7- texts movement and hiding behind subjects 8- more sound effects must be added 9- ability to export directly to Instagram as a story not only a reel 10- in ideas add progress, like still thinking, in progress, finished so we can know which ideas remaining 11- AI tool to help you write a reel description with the trending hashtags related to video I hope that you can read my suggestions, there is more maybe in the future And thanks for let us use Instagram with a professional way like this.Hamzoun1988Version: 377.2.2

Nice app but needs updatesI really like the app especially coming from CapCut which is paid and full of ads. Of course CapCut has a ton more options than Edits, but for this app being free it’s pretty good! Now I know Edits is new so it’s to be expected that there are some glitches and bugs in the beginning. But it’s bugging out nonstop. I can’t even finish editing my video because the app shuts down every time I try to make an edit. It also sometimes doesn’t play the audio on what I’m editing, or simply freezes the video being edited. Fantastic Editing Experience, Minor Export IssueI’ve used the New Edits app several times now and overall, I’m impressed with its potential. The editing interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to put together great-looking videos. However, recently I’ve run into an issue where exporting a video gets stuck at 7% and doesn’t progress. I’ve tried a variety of troubleshooting steps, but so far, nothing has resolved it. I understand new apps often have some kinks to work out, and I’m hopeful this will be addressed soon. Everything I wanted in an editorI post exclusively to instagram and their built in editor was always buggy and didn’t have all the features I wanted. This app solved that! It’s everything you could have wanted all in one place to make professional reels. Great transitions and effects. Text overlays don’t upload rightHi! Garden_ig__ here! I love what the Edits App has to offer so far, but I recently uploaded a reel through Edits and the text overlay is… not good 😬 I can’t see the words or emojis properly. When I edited through the app it looked fine and exactly what I wanted (I customized it myself) but after I uploaded the reel, the overlay became way lighter than it appeared and I can barely see the text, much less the emojis! I couldn’t find a review or feedback tab within the app, but will be happy to change my rating when this is fixed! So far so good!Having the ability to edit and choose trending sounds from Instagram is actually really cool. What makes this stand out over its competitors is that if youre an influencer on IG you get direct analytics from your videos right on edits. Its still new and while its far better than editing directly through IG it's still lacking a few features that others have. Needs more features, fantastic designIt’s a very nice app and it works great. It feels like it’s a clone of CapCut. Theres a lot of features not there but at the same time lots of paid features on CapCut is there for free. The integration with Instagram and Facebook works seamlessly, but if you upload a 16:9 video it will change it to a 9:16 video if you wanna upload it to Instagram or Facebook. The inspiration reels are fantastic because I could just click on the three dots at the top and they will take me to the same video on Instagram. Love it but the voice delayedThe app is very easy to use, and I love uploading to my Instagram account. However, there are a couple of issues: 1. When you download or export the video, the audio is delayed, which makes it inconsistent with the lip movement in the video. 2. I wish there was an option to select which Instagram account you want to upload to, similar to how it works with Facebook. 3. Sleek and EfficientThis is a great easy to use, love-able interface, and efficient editing app. This app works like CapCut, but it has a sleeker interface. Way sleeker. The other great thing about Edits is that it is connected straight to your Instagram, so you can see insights on all of your reels. The reason I put a four star is because one of the projects I was working on glitched. Even after I put edits in the project, I’ll press the play button and nothing will happen. Ehhh it’s okay, but there are better free editing appsI originally downloaded this app hoping it would help prevent my videos from glitching when uploading to Insta. I haven’t uploaded anything to it yet, so I can’t speak on how well it performs there. As for the editing tools, they’re pretty basic—there aren’t many adjustment options. I’d love to see more flexibility, like being able to change the speed of specific parts of a video instead of the whole clip. Absolutely love this app/Its a great pair for instagram ✅I used the Edits app for the first time yesterday and for someone who uses CapCut(which you have to pay for👀). I can comfortably say that this app is one of the best video editing apps I’ve used, it’s very smooth and user friendly. Decent app to edit on the flyI usually use premiere pro on my pc to edit my videos to post to instagram. However, I was a bit lazy this time to transfer my videos to my pc to edit. Initially, I used capcut but I didn’t like the fact that it has a watermark for the free version. I downloaded this app because someone I followed on Instagram mentioned it. Great app so farApp is great so far love it but the only thing I would change is, the way you have to shorten clips is a little annoying if you have to cut a lot out although if the clips are short it’s not a problem. Would be nice to have the same concept as making your reel on instagram where it just shortens as you hold it. Not as good as other apps, not much newI was expecting a great app like CapCut or premier with many new features, but this is little more than was offered in Instagram ( woeful). Every time you edit you has to export so you end up with many copies of your video and have to delete them all the time;, no way to increase or amplify recorded audio above 100 if it was quiet, no way to smooth faces, and so many effects that other apps have. Right now, if you make cuts and say you forget to turn off the volume or adjust settings beforehand, you have to go back and edit each clip individually. Great app, but needs workThe fluidity of the app is great and has some awesome features, but I have been running into glitches with playback. If you use the animate feature and try to edit the length of a clip, it won’t play at all. I would also like to be able to import audio from my files. It’s great, but…The fact that I cannot change, the aspect ratio extremely bothers me. And I do not like how if I have a photo or video that is more than 9:16 inches it cross it and doesn’t let me restore the uncropped parts. What Edits needs.I really think this app has potential, however it is very limited currently. I know it’s in the “invite only” faze until the 30th, but I would like to see: more effects added Allow me to add multiple effects to video add in new effects to the app (make more diverse and more creativity options) Add in “reverse” to put a clip in “rewind” essentially. Fix the music not transferring official audio to IG when posting. I do really like the green screen! It is the best green screen competitor to Tik Tok that I’ve seen!
