Identify cards variationsI have a few issues that I found not good. When it identifies cards it doesn’t tell you the year of cards . Doesnt recognize the different variations of cards to value them correctly. This is what I see after doing 20 or more scans. Also would number some of the cards that wasn’t even numbered. I’m sure it can and will be fixed which leads to time it takes to identify cards which impacts a lot of us with many cards to scan. It’s slow process I guess you say per cards. When I know others will allow you to take numerous picks of cards as it searches for cards which are a lot faster is all I’m saying and I think this will to be the same one day hopefully. Good at some things not so much with othersI’ve now scanned 62 cards with this app. Things it does well: 1. card recognition 9/10. It struggles with variants and reading foil numbers. But does allow for manual input so that’s good. 2. Custom collections/folders are a nice touch. 3. Photo cropping is nice too. Things that are not so good: 1. Of 62 cards I have received 60 8s, one 9, and one 7. Of the 60 8s all but two were sub graded 9,8,8,8,9. In short this is nearly useless as a pregrading tool. 2. Card values are a hot mess. I’m not sure how it aggregates value but just linking to eBay comps would be better. Leagues better. If you like having a digital catalogue for cards this is great. Cool, but not always accurateIt’s nice to have for a quick scan, but to build an accurate collection, you need to make the fields editable. If I have a 1/1 and it lists is /100 that is not accurate. Or if it’s a dual auto and it only recognizes one side of the card per input, not helpful. Should be able to include front and back for more detail and edit the details to make it more accurate and build your collection. Good Concept, Decent ScanningSo first off- no app scans well. I’m just glad this app actually captures the correct card so far 12/12 times. I think the price estimates are a huge range, some accurate, some not at all. Scanned one card twice and it gave me $140 (almost right for an 8 but it gave it a 7) and $66 (maybe for raw). Predictive Grading OffI was concerned about the predictive quality of the app. It seemed off based on the photos I was taking. To test it, I took photos of two cards and cropped out the grades. It predicted a 7 on a card already graded PSA 9, and an 8 on a PSA 10. I asked why, then realized I was talking to AI. Inconsistent and bad AIOf the three apps I looked at, this was the only app that had grading estimates. I tested two cards, both scanned twice, all had literally fresh out-of-the-pack sharp corners. Both cards supposedly graded low because the AI saw “rounding on the corners”. No rounding, flaking, surface fluctuations were on either card. Pricing on one was all over the place. One card I scanned twice, Jaylen Brown Donruss RC. First scan said its value was $56, a range of $1-$200, a COMMON card, estimated grade a 6. Second scan of the same Donruss rookie card said the value was approximately $4, ranging between $1-$15, a RARE card and would grade a 7. So the app said my common 6 was valued at $56 but my rare 7 was $4. BOTH scans were labelled as having “rounding corners”. My Drake Maye RC had closely the same fate. First scan valued at $17 with a range of $1-$40 and a grade estimate of 7, second scan said the card valued at $13, range of $1-$15 but now graded a 7. BOTH scans were labelled as having “rounding corners”. INCREDIBLY inconsistent. This app could have you wasting HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of dollars on faulty, incorrect analysis. I want my $40 back. So many issues.I’m 30 days in, and I’ve run into several frustrating issues. First, the service limits me to 30 card scans per day, and unused scans don’t roll over. If I miss a day, those scans are simply lost. Second, completing those 30 scans takes over an hour and a half because the system is so slow. Third, the organization options are extremely limited—you can’t reorder your collections in any way. They stay permanently in the order you created them, meaning you can’t sort them alphabetically, by value, or by anything else. You can sort within a collection, but you can’t reorganize the collections themselves. Since I create a collection for each team, not being able to alphabetize 32 teams is incredibly frustrating. And finally, on days like today, I can’t scan anything at all because it continually throws errors no matter how many times I try. Multiple scans of 1 card several different resultsI tried with multiple cards and I scanned the same card multiple times and each time this app came up with different names of players, different serial numbers, different valuations and different grades for the same exact card. Then I scanned cards that I had previously graded as PSA 10s and this app said they were sevens. There wasn’t a card that graded higher than an eight. I also tried different light settings as well as a light box and still poor results. I figured the app would utilize some sort of functionality similar to facial recognition where you would rotate the camera of the phone around the outside of the card allowing the tool to actually see the card at different angels as well as the cards corners and edges. However, this tool only utilizes one photograph of the front of the card only. Great concept, but extremely poor execution not even worth the $6 to trial it for a week. Looks can be deceivingI had high hopes for this app. You scan a card and BAM it gives you what you need, just like that! But it didn’t, several times when it couldn’t find my exact card it would pull something close and give me the value for that. I didn’t read carefully enough and when I went to a store saying I had a vintage rookie card worth X - no you don’t. This isn’t the rookie card, I pulled up what I had from the site and then I saw that it gave me the value for the rookie card and lost in the long paragraph was the fact that this was NOT the card pictured. Same thing with variant & parallels - it wasn’t always talking about the picture I sent. I’ve found that Price Charting (which is FREE) was more accurate. App no goodPaid for the year subscription and have done ai grading on hundreds of cards. None of them have been tens. Over 90 percent it says is 8 and they all have soft corners it says the corners are all nice and sharp. AwfulWasted $5 to try this out. Scanned a few cards to check for accuracy and almost all of the cards had errors. Some common errors were thinking the serial number is the card number, wrong set, wrong year, etc. The values were WILDLY incorrect. I scanned a card that sells regularly for $4 on eBay and Cardly estimated the value to be $150. Do not recommend. Not accurateI paid for a one-year membership thinking this would be a fantastic program. Within the first hour of using it, I realized it does not work as advertised. Many cards graded extremely low, and when grading the same card multiple times, I received different results each time. As a test, I scanned a PSA 10 card and Cardly gave it a 10 — but only because it scanned the barcode. When I covered the barcode and re-scanned the exact same card, it graded it as an 8. I attempted to contact Cardly three times over the past week and received absolutely no response. Thankfully, I was able to get a full refund through Apple. Not great at identifying cards.I did a one week purchase and have found some inaccuracies with the app. The last one I tested was a 92 Fleer Citgo Mattingly. It was identified as an 84. The pictures on the cards are not even remotely close. And the card even says Fleer’92 on the front. I could understand not being able to identify a 1953 Yogi Berra Red Man. Two sides of the cardThere is not an option to scan two sides of the card. I get different results from one side of the card to the other. I scanned a numbered card. It tells me it’s an insert. But it’s not the insert that I have. And there’s not an option to scan both sides and use the information that it gathers from both sides. That’s terrible. Poor AI ScannerI uploaded 25 cards all at once and had them graded with the AI scanner. Each card grades the exact same. The scanner categorizes different scores for different key points, and all 25 cards had the same overall score as well as the same individual scores for each key point. Valuation WorthlessI tried the app by scanning my kids jr soccer and baseball cards. It estimated the value of my son’s baseball card at $64 and my daughter soccer card at $19.
