Cardly AI: Sports Card Scanner Positive Reviews

30 card a day limit?I was just getting started scanning my old baseball and sports card collection and I paid for the subscription and it only lets me do 30 cards a day. The app itself is cool, but the limit thing is kind of frustrating..Version: 1.2.9

Identify cards variationsI have a few issues that I found not good. When it identifies cards it doesn’t tell you the year of cards . Doesnt recognize the different variations of cards to value them correctly. This is what I see after doing 20 or more scans. Also would number some of the cards that wasn’t even numbered. I’m sure it can and will be fixed which leads to time it takes to identify cards which impacts a lot of us with many cards to scan. It’s slow process I guess you say per cards. When I know others will allow you to take numerous picks of cards as it searches for cards which are a lot faster is all I’m saying and I think this will to be the same one day hopefully. Wish I didn’t have to say these things but think it only fair to let others know so they can be fixed or others can make decisions on paying for this app as I have and hope you least send me my money back in this. Think it will be a good one one day just not there yet in my opinion this is..Version: 1.2.9

Good at some things not so much with othersI’ve now scanned 62 cards with this app. Things it does well: 1. card recognition 9/10. It struggles with variants and reading foil numbers. But does allow for manual input so that’s good. 2. Custom collections/folders are a nice touch. 3. Photo cropping is nice too. Things that are not so good: 1. Of 62 cards I have received 60 8s, one 9, and one 7. Of the 60 8s all but two were sub graded 9,8,8,8,9. In short this is nearly useless as a pregrading tool. 2. Card values are a hot mess. I’m not sure how it aggregates value but just linking to eBay comps would be better. Leagues better. If you like having a digital catalogue for cards this is great. If you’re hoping for a real grading app I would avoid the $40 a year and go buy another card instead..Version: 1.4.5

Cool, but not always accurateIt’s nice to have for a quick scan, but to build an accurate collection, you need to make the fields editable. If I have a 1/1 and it lists is /100 that is not accurate. Or if it’s a dual auto and it only recognizes one side of the card per input, not helpful. Should be able to include front and back for more detail and edit the details to make it more accurate and build your collection. It would make it much harder for me to cancel if I had an accurate account of my collection in here..Version: 1.2.1

Good Concept, Decent ScanningSo first off- no app scans well. I’m just glad this app actually captures the correct card so far 12/12 times. I think the price estimates are a huge range, some accurate, some not at all. Scanned one card twice and it gave me $140 (almost right for an 8 but it gave it a 7) and $66 (maybe for raw). Need to scan back of the card, give confidence levels based on actual, PSA, eBay, Card Ladder, 130 point data and let the user see the data..Version: 1.3.3

Trustworthy, but buggyThe app is trustworthy and gives good honest estimates for what cards are worth, but it can be buggy at times and not scan the card correctly, or it will buffer and never scan. Also, why do you pay for the app and still have a limit for how many you can scan? It’s only fast if you have 3 cards to scan, after that it becomes quite tedious and slows down significantly..Version: 1.5.0

InconsistentI scanned the same card on two different occasions and got two totally different grades. A perfect 10 the first time the second time I received an eight and the card has not been touched since the first grading..Version: 1.4.3

Scan limit???If I’ve paid for plus/pro/premium or whatever… you’d think I’d be able to scan as many cards as I want. I think the daily limit should be for basic version not for the paid version. Other than that I like the ease of the app..Version: 1.3.5

Cardly:TCG Card Value ScannerBelieve with time this will be sought after app. Provided they develop the software to recognize and process the card borders and backgrounds. I find it frustrating the app incorrectly identify cards. Confusing them do to its inability to discern between an actual autograph and a print signature under a players name. Or it confuses and image that Topps used for multiple years..Version: 1.2.4

Predictive Grading OffI was concerned about the predictive quality of the app. It seemed off based on the photos I was taking. To test it, I took photos of two cards and cropped out the grades. It predicted a 7 on a card already graded PSA 9, and an 8 on a PSA 10. I asked why, then realized I was talking to AI. I gave you a 3, but I should have given you a 1 since we’re deducting two points..Version: 1.3.3

Extremely helpfulCardly is great, have noticed that it sometimes prices the same card differently. But otherwise great tool..Version: 1.3.1

Great idea needs edit featureThis is a great idea for an app but I find it doesn’t accurately identify parallel cards. If they would allow edits to show a card 99/99 it would help a lot. For now I would say 3&1/2-4 stars bc of this limitation. Hopefully this will be fixed in the near future..Version: 1.2.8

Has potentialThe only glaring problems is that there’s no way to delete cards from the app and there’s no actual method to reach support for the app. If these issues are addressed, then maybe it would be 4 stars. But, it’s kinda clunky to navigate and add cards/comics and it would be nice to be able to add jerseys, helmets…etc…..Version: 1.1.7

Nice setupI like the way you can organize your cards and show what your card grading is. I do wish you can scan more than 100 cards a day cause I have hundreds of more cards to do it’s going to take me forever..Version: 1.3.3

Missing functionalityI like the concept and have generally been having a blast pricing/grading/categorizing my cards…. HOWEVER I do have a few gripes. 1- if I scan a card 3 times I get 3 different values. 2-if I scan a blue Prizm, silver Prizm and regular version of a card it gives me the saw feeeback as it can’t differentiate what Prizm/hologram/etc that I am actually asking about. 3. The info the scan provides tells me nothing about what kind of card it is or what set it came from or even a card # Are these going to be address s in the near future? Thank you.Version: 1.4.1

HelpEverything I put into this app disappeared. It won’t let me chat with you. Spending $40 for the year. I can’t even make it through a couple of days somebody wanna help me tell me what’s going on..Version: 1.2.9

The app falls short. The app does a POOR job of identifying when a card is a rookie card. It also doesn’t allow you to edit and add that distinction after it scans the card. It would also be nice if it could identify the subcategory of non-base cards..Version: 1.4.3

Different prices every day whyWhy is it that I use Cardly AI one price one day the next day is lower when using the same lighting.Version: 1.3.5

Glad I saved some cardsI didn't know what l was doing when I saw your ad for rating cards. I'm glad that I checked it out!.Version: 1.2.9

TonyExcellent work by all involved in creating this amazing project with great team members. Thank you for your hard work in this matter..Version: 1.4.8

Not accurate almost of the timeIt fails to analyze and return correct information about 30% of the time, and the app crashes frequently. You can use Chatgpt to do the same thing...Version: 1.2.4

Great appBest cards app.Version: 1.2.2

Card scan limitEven with the pro subscription the app has a card scan limit. I have reached it, and it only took me a few hours. I have hundreds of cards to scan..Version: 1.3.0

MehOther then paying it’s alright I guess.Version: 1.1.8

Limit$.99 a week is all right, but what’s disappointing is you can only scan 20 cards a day.Version: 1.2.1
