Very handy and easy to useI’ve been using this app for several years in conjunction with the PC version. I find it easier and faster to do the data entry on the PC and then back it up to my iPhone app. It’s very easy to add genera, species and hybrids to the database. Very handy to have at shows to avoid buying duplicates. I do not use the watering schedule because I have over 800 orchids and a full time job. Plus they are all watered the same so keeping track of this isn’t useful to me anyway. For easy access to your entire collection along with photographs, this app is well worth the very small investment..Orchid WifeVersion: 2.0

Not too goodI bought this app several months ago but haven’t really tried to use it until this past weekend. It’s been constantly crashing! I’m having to enter the data several times for each orchid! Disappointed after all these years usingDoes not sync from one device to another. I have been using this app for years. I was confused because I set up the sync for my iPad and iPhone and thought it was working. I finally realized it was not updating both devices. Now I have some in my phone that are not on my iPad and vise versa. What a pain. Also, it does not have a safety feature to edit. It is easy to accidentally delete or change orchid details. Addicted!I love this app! I’ve been using it for years! I run up hard against a few limitations, such as the fact that it only updates your account when you ADD an orchid, not when you subtract one from your collection. You also can’t keep track of a plant’s development, or sort by temperature ranges. When we’re having a cold snap, I want a quick list of everything that needs to come indoors when the temperature drops below 50* F. But I haven’t found anything better, and I’m so invested in this one, it would take eons to input all the data into a new app. I’m home..514westwoodlandVersion: 2.0

Needs a few tweaksFor those of us who own multiple of the same species, a swipe left or right duplicate entry would make the app more efficient and useful. Having to re-enter the same data is time-consuming. Also, it would be nice if the vendor/acquired from created a database wheel to reduce typing the same vendor name. Bob BergerA great phone app for the window hobbiest with a 1/2 dozen plants up to the serious grower with 100’s of orchids. Way too much detail to keep track of for every plant, but just use what features you like. My Orchid AlbumApp is good to go. Been using it since 2019 and have no problems. Only thing can an update be added to where this is linked to a calendar. Mostly good, one requestI like the majority of features of this app, but suggest simplifying the watering process. Up usability by providing an easier option to record and update when a variety of plants at one time have been watered, rather forcing the creation of a water schedule. You can do it now, but it requires a couple clicks instead of one single blanket feature. Superb!!I rarely write reviews but l had to take a moment to say that I really love this app! The learning curve is small and the ease of use and relevance is there. I love the ease of adding pictures as well. I just wish it could sync automatically across all of my devices. I have a lot of orchids and I started my log on my iPad but sometimes it would be easier to add information on my iPhone. Great app for orchid lovers who want to know their collectionAs with all orchid lovers and collectors. It is easy to grow out collections and loose track on our collection. This app solved that for me. I don't track watering and other functions. But I love the ability to shoot pictures and to place dates on my flowers. Good StartI finally decided to update my handwritten orchid records and this app does the trick. It's nice that you can try it out with the lite version. BEWARE!!! All Data Lost — Backup Doesn’t WorkOrchid Album is the only app on my iPad that has ever lost data. This indicates that it is a problem with the app. My iPad OS automatically updates, so any app problems that occur during a system update are not noticeable until it’s too late, and data is already gone. Apple does not provide customer service for third-party apps with data stored in iCloud. Considering the amount of information I stored in Orchid Album, I don’t find it reliable enough for an iPad that I use instead of a computer. For a permanent record, use Excel on a laptop — don’t waste time using this unreliable app. Orchid Album instructions should say ‘Do not use this app as your only record.
