I liked that app a lot, but it had one major flaw: when I was wearing my earphones and turned on the app at the same time, it often came on at top volume and nearly blew out my eardrums. This app is free of that problem, so apart from its annoying ads – which, fortunately, I don't have to look at since the benefit of this app is only its audio feature – it is just about perfect. Since I work at home, having something to cancel out conversations and TV sounds from other parts of the house is very important to me. One little thingI really was enjoying this app. I love all the options you can download and that it plays on the background. It also has the nice touch of fading the sound in and out. Real cool. However, a star was lost because just yesterday, it started turning off automatically and randomly. I don’t know if it’s a bug or what but that’s my biggest complaint. I can see how the ads could get annoying but I don’t mind them and they help keep the app free. This app is a lifesaver.I suffer from misophonia. Years of living next door and underneath noisy neighbors has completely upended my life and caused me to develop severe anxiety. I’ve tried ear plugs, actual white noise machines (although, the Lectrofan is great...it’s just my neighbors are a different breed), music, and cranking up the TV to no avail. I’ve been using the app for a few years now, and it’s the only white noise app that blocks out any and all sound. I can’t hear a peep. It’s like escaping to my own oasis without fear of hearing people talking loud, chewing, or stomping. Fantastic!!This app has a sleep sound for everyone. The quality and authenticity of the recordings make it easy to drift to distant lands and environments. There are many sounds to choose from. When I am having trouble falling asleep or getting back to sleep, I select the sound that works best, set the timer in the app and rarely am I still awake after the timed session ends. Stops when pop up comes upI would have given this 5 stars as the sounds are the BEST I’ve heard in a sleep app so far, HOWEVER- every time a pop up comes up advertising one of their other sleep noise apps it STOPS my sound dead. I have to click cancel on the pop up for the sound to come back. This is super annoying as I prefer to have sound all night long to help me stay asleep. It happens wether or not the internet is connected. I’m not going to wake up and keep turning off the add all night.. Great app!I usually sleep with a box fan at home, but have been traveling a TON lately for interviews, and despite spending so many nights in hotel rooms that are either too quiet or too noisy, I've gotten great, restful sleep thanks to this app. Someone complained that it was preventing their phone from locking/draining their battery, but I just manually lock my phone after setting my alarm, and haven't had any issues. The noise blocking mix enables me to completely tune out all household sounds so that I can read/study during the day and sleep at night. Restful sleepThis app doesn't have a ton of options as far as noises go, but I thought I would give it a try! I tried the white noise, and immediately felt like I was going to have a panic attack! Great to drown out snoring!I put in my noise canceling headphones and turn on the rain sounds. I cannot sleep when my husband starts snoring. Really liking this appThis is a great background noise app for blocking noise, creating a calm atmosphere, getting to sleep, or I suspect meditation. It's customizable. There are lots of available ambient noises to choose from as well as combinations for various uses. You can even combine ambient sounds into custom soundscapes that can be saved. What I also love is that it can play while I have my music on or while I'm using other apps with sound. I just thought of the possibility of it continuing to play while I place a call. Gonna need to test that asap. Would have rated it 5 but I feel the interface needs work as it doesn't seem to be user-centered. And the alerts prompting that you download other apps or whatever the others say make the app feel a tad spammy. Ads, more ads, all while draining your battery.The app comes with 4 prerecorded noise, all but the pink noise you can find on any ambient sound collection. It serves TONS of ads, ads by the developer each time you launch, add by the developer randomly why you have it open, and then a scrolling banner ad for everything else from soap to just about anything else. The app seems , so it can display its ads ?, also seems to keep your phone from locking and power down the screen for some time. I saw my screen start to go dim several times for a brief instant then go back to full brightness without me touching it. This went on for about 30 minutes...
