ToneStack GO App Comments & Reviews

ToneStack GO Positive Reviews

Favorite guitar app yetThis app is the is, to me, the most realistic modeling app out there. Amps behave like they have real tubes, sounds are great, decent price, and let’s you get nerdy, without over doing it like in bias. My two criticism are I wish there would be more updates and new amps and effects, and I do get a fair amount of buzz through my irig2 hd. The noise suppressor effect worked great, but can kill sustain on quieter notes.Version: 3.3

Flexible, powerful...*Edit: 2023* Dude, you are killing me with these “new version upgrades”. I spent a ton of money on this app, (much more than I normally would). And now I discover that to stay current, I have to buy a new version and likely repurchase all the add-ons that I purchased for THIS one? That feels really wrong to me. I own much of the stuff you produce going back a very long time and as you can see below I have been a strong supporter, but after buying expensive updated versions of Galileo, and Magellan (I was mostly glad to support them even if they were costly) I now discover I need to move to new versions of Steel Guitar and ToneStack and I see no way to move my IAPs for either. Yeah, I’m sorry but I think I’m gonna have to let these go and focus my resources elsewhere. I can't really speak to the quality of the simulations, I will leave that to people who have spent more time with guitar amps and pedals. I will say that from my perspective as a long time producer of experimental music, this set of tools seems much better than most of the others like it for building original/odd/unique effects chains. That made it worth buying the full collection for me. There is some very neat stuff in here like the octiver, space echo, and rotary speaker. I feel like I have just scratched the surface, but I can tell it's going to be a well used tool in my arsenal..Version: 3.3

Would be 5 stars but IAA not workingFirst, the good... This app sounds great, the live features are awesome, and the fact that you can buy individual effects instead of spending a ton on a bunch you don't need (like in BIAS FX) makes this one of the best. Now the bad, which is why it gets 3 instead of 5 stars... I have a lot of IAA effects, so I spent the 9.99 on the starter bundle to activate that feature, and I can't get it to work at all with my irig Duo, and when I just use the phone with no interface, the one IAA effect works, but none of the Tonestack ones do. It said something about sample rates... All of the effects I have would run at 44 or 48k, but there's no way to adjust.a sample rate in this app. Another problem I've had is when switching to a preset that has a lot of effects, it makes a loud noise that kind of sounds like what a noise would sound like if it went through that whole preset, effectively making changing presets during a performance impossible. I sent Yonac an email on their website over two weeks ago about both of these problems and still haven't heard back. If they weren't going to at least offer some support, I would have at least liked a refund for the starter pack. If these two problems didn't exist, this app would be almost perfect..Version: 3.3

Recording freezesI love this app, it’s got a great range of sounds and pedals, I love that you can use Tonebridge with it, the only issue I’m having is when recording I will be laying down a second track and it will just freeze up. It will freeze while I’m trying to lay down a second guitar or at any random time. That’s very frustrating because I lose great recordings which renders this app useless to anyone experiencing this problem. I did spend money on it but that’s not even the point, I would love to use this app. Other than that it’s a great app. I’d love it if you guys could maybe update it with a fix or let me know if there’s anything I can do in settings. Thanks.Version: 3.3

Great, but one suggestionIt would be better if by default files recorded within tapedeck feature retained the bpm and last amps/fx which the file was last played or saved Is there a setting for this?.Version: 3.3

Hands down the bestI have been buying multi effects pedals and amp modeling software for years and Tonestack really is the best I’ve ever used. The AB/Y capability opens so many doors. The tube amp models are incredibly convincing, and you can dial in a great breakup. Works great with GarageBand. The expansions offer tons and tons of effects, I’m enjoying playing with all the combinations..Version: 3.3

This has such a nice sound and flow but no auv3Any hope of a port? I’ve bought a few modules over the years. And magellan is a cool synth the whammy and pitch shifter in here are some of my favorites would love to use them more..Version: 3.3

Still in business?Last update 3 years ago. Is there any update in the near future that could bring a background run feature?.Version: 3.3

One of if Not The BestSolid as a rock, updates don’t break the app (like some other sim apps). Great variety of amps, cabinets, effects, and mics. Should go down in history as a benchmark for iOS guitar amp sims..Version: 3.3

QuestionWhat is the difference between Tonestack Go and Tonestack?.Version: 3.3

Great for giggingTube breakup is more real sounding than others IMO. Midi learn gives live gig options with BlueBoard and midi control knobs. I like it..Version: 3.3

Pretty darn impressiveI was actually thinking this was gonna be like the old school amp sims iOS had back when these things were showing up. The Plexi sim that you get free is quite Hendrixian. I actually like it better than all the other variants of the particular amp, that includes Bias'. That's not easy to do, because bias is arguably the best sim overall, but it's not fully self contained, there's just way too many things going on, and honestly, as good as it is..it's hardly worth it when both GuitarTone and Tone Stack both sound every bit as good and are cheaper overall. Bias is just a really nice interface at this point. I think Ampkit is the best looking though. That said, I think I'm switching from bias to this and calling it a day.Version: 1.2

Ios 17.4.1Sound is not coming out properly on iOS 17.4.1.Version: 3.3

So coolGreat sounding pedals on iOS... {8.Version: 3.3

Best iOS amp simulatorI have JamUp, Bias, Amplitube, and ToneStack simply has the best amp simulation and sound. I went for the mother load with the recent sale and it is well worth it. It also has great features. I mainly look for great glassy strat clean and blues tones so my interest is not in hardcore metal tones. It's the first program I plug in and actually feel like I'm playing through an amp and hearing a real amp. It has dual amp features, a solid recorder and practice tool. I didn't buy BiasFx because from all the demos, the tones seem harsh and no better than JamUp or Bias. I haven't tried using any program live yet because I have been waiting for a program with this quality of tone and features and pedal that would work seamlessly live - few coming out this summer that may work. And you can get the free version with one a,p and a few effects and demo it before you buy the load..Version: 1.2

Great app, even for prosA lot of people write app reviews based on first impressions which is annoying. I have tested this app for over a year including using it in a professional studio setting. The tones sound completely believable alongside real instruments properly recorded. Settings can be customized to an amazing degree yet the interface is simple. This means you can spend hours geeking out or simply plug in and play. The basic sounds are as good or better than all competitors and some of the proprietary effects are unbelievably cool, as they are modeled after coveted pieces of gear that you will likely never have access to. The designers have excellent taste and don't push the user toward any particular style of music production. A++.Version: 2.3

Best amp modeler on iTunesI've tried every amp modeler on iTunes. This is the best one. The feel and reaction of the amps is more realistic than others. There are more than enough fx to make any sound you want. Get a stereo amp rig going and experiment with cabs and mic placement making a huge difference in tone. I play thru high quality monitoring headphones or speakers. Not sure how it sounds for a live rig bypassing power amp emulation..Version: 3.1

Exceptional! Really!Having this be available as a demo was a wise move on the developer's part. I was surprised at how natural the sound is. I thought I might buy things gradually, but I broke down and bought the motherlode. I am glad I did! As a jazz player, I found the clean amps really came close to what I try to get live from my real amp. What really impressed me was the plate reverb. It came really close to the plate I heard and got to record with in 1979 at a studio in Pittsburgh. If you get this app, do the motherlode deal while it lasts. I am also happy with just the effects without the amps. So flexible! I still use JamUp, Amplitube, and Stompbox, but this app is probably going to be a real "go to" for me!.Version: 1.0

So much tone, so little money.I downloaded the free version and fell in love. It happened to be during the holiday time and the bundles were all on sale so I took the risk and bought the motherload for $32. I was shocked and amazed by how great this app works. There are so many tonal options, and that's before even getting into the modulation, filter and delay effects. I use it with a iris blueboard and it's like having thousands of dollars worth of gear at the control of my foot. Fantastic product all around..Version: 1.1

Tonestack Rules period! This is my favorite guitar app! I use it more then any other guitar app! Great tuner too! This app appears to be highly under rated but I'm telling you it's excellent. It has its benefits over Jamup and even bias & bias fx. Still Loving it! Get the mother load! PositiveGrid just can't match the tones of this app no matter how hard they try and they pretty much copied the splitter and dual amps from Tonestack! still the best!.Version: 1.5

Best rig simulation on IOSFar and away the most fun in a full rig simulation on an iPhone. The dual signal paths are a gas to play with and no issues with running out of CPU on an iPhone 6. Didn't care for the models of the echoplex and elec mistress. A couple things I would like to see in a future release. A ping pong echo option and a simulation of a Dimension D chorus..Version: 3.1

The best.Out of all the amp sims I have ever used this one sounds and functions the best. Hardly ever bugs out, super reliable, amazing control and best of all the range of tones and fx available are the best I've ever seen. From warm rich tones to super mean gritty to totally out there stuff I've never heard. It's all here. And the support is amazing too..Version: 2.3

Tone Junkie - Buy This AppI waited a month after owning this app before I wrote a review. I've used it under different circumstances and has preformed excellent. If you have the means I would buy the bundle and just save your money because you'll want it all in the end!! A++.Version: 2.1

Finally excellent toneNever got the right sound with Amplitube or Jamup. bought this with the full motherload and even the preset sounds are amazing. still discovering all the possibilities but this app and the effects pedals are in a different league...thanks so much for all the careful attention to detail!.Version: 1.0

Please updateI tried uploading my recording to Soundcloud & the track length said 0:00. Tried emailing to to someone, they said it played no audio & had no track length. PLEAS FIX THIS..Version: 2.3

Incredible... Just incredibleI have been looking for an app to sound this good. Even spent a lot for in app content in BiasFX and STILL wasn't satisfied. I loved this in the first 5 minutes. I use an Irig HD with great results. Just sounds more natural and amp like to me.Version: 2.1

I've tried a lot of appsI've tried a lot of apps most of the major players all around I think this is the best so far !.Version: 2.1

👍🏻Definitely one of the best sounding FREE amp setups for iOS. I still have a 4s and the initial amps n pedals sound great, even with my 8 string..Version: 1.4

Nice app.Very clear sound. I probably why I keep going back to use it..Version: 1.2

Top of the heapI've tried them all and this is by far the best sounding and versatile of the top 3: 1. ToneStack 2. Jammup (Bias) 3. Mobile Pod.Version: 3.0

Yesss!!!!Dude (that developer )nailed it!!! 😎😎🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎼🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶 if you don't get this-then you're missing out!.Version: 1.0

This is great. This is a great ap. I have the full bundle, and I am very pleased..Version: 1.1

ToneStack GOHi People, I wish each and every one of you a happy and fulfilling life!! Sincerely, CaptainSPACE P.S. ToneStack is great!.Version: 2.2

Best of the bunch!Fantastic sounds, excellent interface, easy to record and mix your tracks. Uploading tracks to 8 track recorder is simple using wifi. Recommend! ( in app purchases offer tremendous selection and can be purchased in bundles and go on sale often).Version: 2.3
