Après la mort de Segond, la Société biblique britannique et étrangère révise la traduction, en 1910, en choisissant d'autres termes doctrinaux plus conformes à la pensée protestante orthodoxe (par exemple : « sacrificateurs » à la place de « prêtres », « foi » à la place de « fidélité »)6. Cette version 1910 deviendra la traduction protestante la plus lue au cours du xxe siècle.
Jusqu'au 19ème siècle, le protestantisme francophone a pour l'essentiel utilisé la traduction de la Bible réalisée par Olivétan, un cousin de Jean Calvin.
La Compagnie des pasteurs de Genève demande au docteur en théologie Louis Segond de réaliser une nouvelle traduction. Celui-ci traduit les textes à partir de l'hébreu, de l'araméen et du grec, langues "originelles", et non plus d'après la Vulgate latine, comme cela se faisait jusqu'alors. L'Ancien Testament ne comprend pas les textes appelés deutérocanoniques par la tradition catholique.
La version Segond paraît en 1880. Elle connaîtra une très grande diffusion et sera adoptée par l'ensemble du protestantisme francophone. En 1910 parait le texte de la 3ème édition, remanié et révisé. Il laisse mieux apparaître la divinité de Jésus Christ, selon les textes originaux.

Copy and search featuresI give this app a 4 star review because it miss some qualities: one of the most important quality is the search feature : the search cannot correspond to the exactitude of information needed. Secondly, the copy feature is no longer able to work as it used to. For example, it is much difficult now to copy more than one verses together. However highlighting is very easy ! I suggest they enhance the copy feature more efficiently. Also, the search should be enhance as well. The result of search is very poor..Version: 4.5
Don’t buy the New Added FeaturesI was very Happy with this App until I bought this new feature they were advertising in the App. (English Bible - Audio). The reason❓ I paid my money, I downloaded the New Feature, (large file!), and that’s it ‼️ There is no way whatsoever to access or open the file. I complain to Support, I complain to the App Store, I was very patient waiting for an update that would correct the situation but I have to admit now, there is no hope. Access to table of contentsI love and enjoy this app. Only downside is accessing the table of contents with ease. Each time I have to go back and scroll down to find the book or scripture, vs being able to be taken back to where I was on already. Hope this helps. Thank you..Version: 5.3

Selon moi , la bible qui n’est modifiée d’aucune manière , que seule la traduction pour fin de compréhension des différentes langues de se monde , réfléchit l’aspect véridique de l’enseignement de Dieu de son fils Jésus , je crois que sincèrement , l’importance du message divin , se fait à travers l’Esprit Saint , par qui elle est révélée à celui qui cherche ( chercher et vous trouverez )..mentionne Jésus , à plusieurs reprises., (cherchez moi et vous me trouverez )..
