Word of the Day・English Vocab App Comments & Reviews

Word of the Day・English Vocab Positive Reviews

The new update removed the app’s best features…Edit 2: The issues I shared below have since been fixed. Thank you, WotD team! Edit: I updated my review to three stars on the fact that the developers were very helpful and kind in restoring my saved words and disabling the “gamification” for me. Still, I’m unable to search & save words (which was my favorite feature) but I saw a comment below that it’s returning in a later update, which will be wonderful… Original Review: I’m a writer and I originally downloaded this app for two reasons: to expand my vocabulary, and to “stash” words that I want to save for later. When I come across an interesting new word in a book, for example, I’d go to the app, search for it, and save it for future reference. I used to use the app almost every day, and looked forward to each day’s new word. The new update removed all of this. You can no longer search for words, and the daily word is hidden unless you visit the app. This is incredibly frustrating. The app has turned into some sort of subscription-based Duolingo-esque game, instead of a fun dictionary like it was before. Plus, on top of that, most of my saved words disappeared. Now, I do understand the developers need to make money, and I’d even be happy to purchase the app for a flat price — if the interface returned to the way it was before. I’m very disappointed, and I’m afraid I’ll have to search for a replacement…..Version: 8.3.5

App RedesignEDIT: Since the major redesign, most of my complaints below have been addressed. I’m much happier with the app now- the last thing I’d like to see is a way to quickly return to a specific calendar day, rather than having to swipe between each word. But this is a relatively small issue, given the ability to save words to lists, etc. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Lifetime subscription member here. While I like some of the features of the app redesign (the art for each word is fun and a good way to get a better sense of the word) I really dislike the fact that I have to wait several seconds upon opening the app in order to “reveal” what the new word is, and even then you have to wait for an animation to complete, then “flip” the card in order to even get a basic definition, let alone any etymology details. Pleas give us an option to turn the word “reveal” theatrics off. On top of that, it would be hugely useful to have a way to scroll through the daily words and not have to flip EACH of the word cards over to get a definition. This is not the way I want to have to interact with the app. Let me easily scroll through words and their definitions, with an option to look at the word art if I want to! Lastly, it doesn’t seem like there is an easy way to look into past days/months/etc. like there used to be. Scrolling through weeks and weeks worth of words having to swipe to love one word at a time is getting to get old fast- the old “calendar” view was helpful in this regard..Version: 8.3.5

Word of the DayMy senior year of high school (graduated in 1966), I had an English teacher the stressed the need of a good vocabulary. Each week she would give us 10 words that we were to familiarize ourselves and then record if saw the word used during the week. Sources could be newspapers, magazines, books, or any printed material. I can remember many of the words today and where I found it being used. My career choice as a nurse encouraged me to learn medical terminology. When I married, I faced a person who could challenge my knowledge. My husband was an auditor for the US Air Force and was responsible for writing reports to the Pentagon, to the Congress and the Senate, generals, etc. His reports were word perfect, written logically. I hate to play Scrabble or any word game with her. Even when writing a personal note to him, I am careful to be word perfect. This app is a godsend to me! Linda.Version: 8.4.12

Changed with new year*update* still don’t like the “chat” feature and the new look AND customer service was great. They explained why and respect my comments. I miss the old look and now will have to get used to the list. 5 stars customer service averages against the look. Glad to know customer service is available. My brain will take time and I will practice what customer service advised. Thank you. Getting some new “chat” with no explanation. Used to be able to review the week or months at any time and they are now gone. The other version was much more user friendly, accessible to review all of it any time. The previous version worked with my learning style. This does not. With a brain injury, Asperger’s, a PhD, and as a former professor I know how we need myriad learning methods and options. The previous app offered that and this one is limited, annoying in the way I have to battle to find information and zero customer service. I al so disappointed because it truly was a lovely app before. No longer worth the money. This iteration is boring, colorless, unaccessible, with too many changes. Why change what wasn’t broken?!?.Version: 9.0.1

Regarding the Aug 5th UpdateI was really enjoying this app until this new update. I liked the word searches, but I can do without them. What I miss is being able to look up a word and stash it, not just seeing the words that were selected for me. If I came across a new and interesting word “in the wild,” I was able to add it to my list! Not anymore. Plus, this update messed with the widget I had that showed me the word of the day without opening the app. I get that developers want people to open the app, but the thing is - seeing the word on my screen is what GOT me to open the app (to see the definition). I liked the visual incentive of being curious about the word, rather than having just another notification, which I’ll probably ignore. To be honest, I’m less likely to seek out and open the app now. The update has some promising features such as illustrations and having words tailored to the user’s vocabulary level and I’d like to see these features incorporated into a version of the app that addresses the problems listed above..Version: 8.0

Could use some improvementsSo far I love being able to see a daily word. As a writer, having words to get a situation across without something being too wordy, is crucial. This app has been a huge help! I like to write a small prompt with the word of the day if it inspires me. However, there can be some fixes. On the favorite word list, I would much rather be able to see the list of words with the definition. I don’t care to know have many people have saved the word. I just want to be able to access words and their definition on the fly, especially on writing streaks! Or, remembering one of the words and trying to see the definition on a whim. Also, the widget shows a different word than the daily word. When I click see example on the widget, I get the word of the day, not the word on the widget. Thus, I have to manually search it. I don’t care too much for the crossword game. However, I don’t get the notification for it so maybe it’s a glitch?.Version: 6.6

Lackluster updateI have been an ardent advocate and enthusiast of this application for approximately 6 years. As an educator, I utilized it daily to enhance not only my own lexicon but also that of my students. Transitioning from the educational sector to tech-consulting, I discovered its augmented utility in my interactions with colleagues, mentors, and clients, significantly enriching my conversational vocabulary. Recent updates, however, as echoed in other recent reviews, have regrettably oversimplified both the user interface and functionality. The word search feature less user-friendly, and the application seemingly evolving from a practical tool into a gamified entity. I earnestly implore the PM or the individual responsible for this update to reconsider and restore some of the original intuitive features, moving away from the current pared-down interface. The present iteration feels disappointingly inferior, reminiscent of a transition from a meticulously milled piece of aluminum to a mass-produced injection molded plastic..Version: 9.2.0

Word of the DayIt's wonderful to be able to find the correct spelling of a word. It's also nice to learn new words as well. You can also ask about a word you want to spell without going through nine shades of you know what! Great job guys! Don't stop creating easy to use programs! I’ve wanted an easy to use program that, once YOU start to use it, YOU just start printing and eventually it corrects the word. Now that’s why I’m getting into this program a lot!! This is a sweetie of an app!! YOU guys keep it going!!🙂. I still LOVE!, this app. I know that it will always give anyone, the ability too learn about ourselves, as too know and understand how to speak to others. I know, that this is a lot, too take in at one time, but the thought Theorem it takes too create such an awesome app, is astounding!!👏🏻👍🏻😉😃 DON’T STOP!!, upgrading this app. Well done, everyone!!.Version: 2.1

Great app!!This app does what says, it isn’t complicated. It does have neat features though. You can favorite words, and then access them later. You can see a list of the most popular favorited words, you can flip back to words at least year or two ago. The app gives a word and it’s definition, an example sentence and how to pronounce it. The word is often challenging. It is good app, especially for students. I would highly recommend the app. Suggestion: I don’t wish to sound like a know it all, but I am a prolific reader and I know most of the words. (certainly not all, some of them are really different) So, I want whoever decides what word for the day to choose harder ones, less known ones. Especially one geared towards more AP exams? It wouldn’t be hard..Version: 2.1

Really awesomeThis app is really awesome! It teaches me and my family members a ton of new words! There is really nothing wrong about it. One time, I gave this app to my sister and she would not give me my phone back for the next half hour! This is one of the apps I really love because THERE ARE NO ADS!!! That really is great and an app with no ads is really great for children, especially impatient ones who love to learn. Maybe in this app, you could include a space where you can make a list of all the words you like and want to use more often. That would be really cool and I would even update my phone for that! Also, you could even make a word challenge where if you told your assigned word to someone, you would get a coin. You can save up your coins to maybe look at the next day’s word. As I said before, this app is astonishing and I love how I can educate myself with it!.Version: 4.4

Exactly what I️ was looking forSo far, this is exactly what I wanted. Not only does it give you a new word everyday, you can go back and look at past days and what the words were. Even MORE fun and enticing for me is the search function. I am an avid reader, lots of times I come across words I can figure the meaning of just by the sentence it’s in. But this app has a function my phone lost last time ‘They’ made the new year and new phone....it will speak the words for you. That’s just invaluable to me; not only do I get to read dictionary definition, I can learn how to say the word too. Ultimately making it more likely the new words I learn will make it out into my conversation. Thank y’all for the great app and thank you for making it available without pay..Version: 1.9

A Useful AppThe words are at just the right level- there are some I know and some I don't. It is always good to be reminded of the concrete meaning of words you think you know, but learning new words is why I downloaded the app, and it has successfully delivered on that point as well. The definitions are direct and easy to understand. My only complaint is that the app does not use the words in a sentence. However, this isn't essential... Ever notice how as soon as you learn a word, you start seeing it everywhere? I am pleased with this app. It's teaching me knew words without the unnecessary muss and fuss some apps feel the need to include with their services. It's quick, easy, and the words build up over time so you can greatly expand your vocabulary..Version: 1.9

Love it.Idk, honestly it’s nothing groundbreaking or new. Or, maybe they do sincerely choose a good word for each day. I have a hard time believing that’s difficult to do, but perhaps that’s part of it, as well as the nice format. I enjoy the page turning (again, not new). As much as it sounds like I’m knocking it, it’s just me saying I don’t quite understand, but I love this app. The ad’s are a huge bummer, and I’d happily pay a small fee to own the app, but there’s no such thing to do! I say that being almost positive, because last I checked there wasn’t, but I can’t look now because I'm typing this unnecessarily long review. tl;dr: The app is somehow surprisingly super awesome and totally worth having notifications on to throw a “word of the day” at ya!.Version: 2.1

Superior app for the seeker of knowledge! This app is a work of art for today's world. Having matriculated over two decades ago it's quite refreshing to receive new words daily and incorporate them into my general conversation. I get trapped into using the same small words as I come into contact to and repeat; but thanks to this app and my busy lifestyle, once again go back to putting more thought into and having much more creative, interesting, and stimulating conversations. Download the app, listen to the words, write them down and incorporate them into your daily routine. Learning is exciting, remembering is monumental, rewiring your brain to think before you speak can save you in many many ways. Keep up the excellent work! ~Rico.Version: 2.0

The ART makes it 100% worth it!!!The transformation that this app has undergone is one of the best I’ve seen out of any app in a LONG time. Special shout-out to the art and design team- you guys create the most beautiful, expressive, descriptive, and accurate cards for each word of the day. And I’m so glad that us free users can go back and see previous days. Your art deserves to be visible to all for more than 24 hours. The art seriously makes this app!!!! And I won’t shut up about it! I love everything about the recent update. It’s so much more interactive and useful in learning new words and way more attractive overall. Bravo! It’s a widget on my Home Screen!.Version: 8.4.1

So-so and Good at the same time.First the so-so. The example sentences most often, are terrible. They continue the definition as opposed to using the word in a “real” relatable sentence. Then there are times when the syntax is off. I find myself reading the sentence multiple times to try to understand what’s really being said. As others have mentioned, a word retention system would be great, maybe mini daily games that train you to remember the word you’ve just learned. Now the good. I love that the words are very diverse, there are current language words as well as obscure words from the past. The app isn’t too obtrusive with notifications; I get just one a day, letting me know there’s a new word available. I really enjoy sharing the words with my kids and co-workers..Version: 2.1

Does What It's Supposed To DoWord of the Day. That's a pretty straightforward explanation of what this app is and it delivers. For those who are looking to advance their lexicon, this is one to consider. Words provided vary from "oh I've heard that word before" to "is that even English?" but the app always provides the necessary information to make even the most exotic of words accessible; use of the word in a sentence, phonetics, etc. Words can be favorited and referenced later. A word of advice; coming from someone who needs coffee in the morning to begin properly functioning, having the app provide you with a new word immediately after your alarm is a great way to kickstart your brain before the caffeine strikes..Version: 2.0

A Great DiscoveryAs a writer who strives to improve whenever the opportunity arises, and thus searching the Internet for ways to do just that. Having stumbled upon this app was a real blessing. Grammar is very important to me, along with being too repetitive. This app has helped me with both in their own way. Being able to favourite/bookmark words is a huge plus. As well as the freedom of not having to pay. If I may make a request for the developers, you can deny it of course! I’d love to see an app for grammar aid. I have no doubt in my mind that you can make one that will rival those websites out there. Just as you’ve done here. It’d be more work I’m sure and I could understand it being a paid app, but I have faith that it will be made right. Either way though, I thank you for making this for us. ps: advice for fellow writers; don’t overdo your story with complicated words. Doing so will turn your reader’s away real fast if they have to look up every word. I do however encourage using one now and then to be a form of teacher to those who read them..Version: 2.1

Decent app, entry-level vocabularyI downloaded this app thinking it would be a fun way to stay sharp and learn new words, and while it does function as advertised, it’s a little underwhelming. The daily words are usually pretty basic, and most of the ones I’ve encountered over the two-ish months I’ve had the app are already part of my vocabulary. That said, it provides a decent refresher for adults, and would be good for younger individuals or anyone who feels they need to master some basics before moving on to more obscure words. There is a dictionary portion as well, which I’ve found more helpful than the word-a-day function when it comes to discovering unrecognized words. Having to flip through the dictionary kind of defeats the purpose of the app, at least for me, but it’s nice to have it included..Version: 2.1

Never thought about expanding my vocabularyUntil now. English was always my worst subject. Im assuming my ADD was the fault. I can always read well and fast but nothing would stick. Especially words and their definitions. But overtime with all the nerdy games Ive played Ive slowly became more articulate than ever before. Games that involved lots of reading like Zelda, FF series, plus all kinds of other RPGs really helped a lot. Anyways theres only so many words in games that I can google up. But with this app. It gives you the definition and an example of the word being used in a sentence. That is what always helped me remember the word. I barely downloaded this app and am very excited so far.Version: 2.1

Premium doesn’t workI thoroughly like this app and would like it even more if I could get what I paid for. I have a Premium subscription, however, when I finish the deck of 10 AI generated words it tells me to get a premium subscription in order to see more words. When I click on “premium” it just takes me back to the same page. Also, when I try to watch the presentation for the very first “stop saying” word under “emotions” it says “loading presentation” without actually loading. I have waited for 5min at one point. I of course have open and closed the app many times to no avail. I will not be subscribing to Premium again, of course, if this isn’t fixed. I wanted Premium specifically for the “stop saying” aspect..Version: 9.1.0

Today WidgetLove this app. There are so many in the AppStore but this one stands out above the rest. I have had this app for quite awhile and loved everything about it, until recently. I miss having it located in Today's widget, it was always included on the iOS versions, then suddenly remove. It was a helpful reminder when checking the News to see your Word for the Day shown, instead of waiting for your selected time of notification to pop-up. It would be nice to have it back on all iOS levels and not just on the newer versions. Please consider adding it back to the lower ones again..Version: 8.3.2

Perfect for writersI’m a native English speaker, and a writer as well. I’ve been looking for a vocabulary app that would benefit me as a writer specifically, not as someone studying the language as a non-native, ESL student, which seems to be the majority of the vocabulary apps out there. I already have a good command of the English language, but wanted to learn more of the uncommon words that might benefit my prose. Word of the Day does just that. While it would definitely benefit ESL students, I’ve found it fits my use case perfectly. Highly recommended to both ESL learners and native English speakers looking to learn those ten-dollar words, as Hemingway called them..Version: 8.6.1

Frustrating but otherwise goodWhen I got this app I was hoping to expand my vocabulary. I already speak English and thought this would be a fun way to learn new words. The problem that frustrated me is that most of the words that were “word of the day” I knew, so it was not much of a vocabulary expansion. I did enjoy the set up of this app though. I liked how you could save words that you liked and also that there was a master list of words. I wish they used more ‘odd’ or ‘rare’ words as the word of the day. I did find a bunch of new words in the master list but it lacked the fun “learn one new word a day” aspect that I thought I was going to get. All in all this is a good app but I would not recommend it for people looking for a fun way to learn new words or expand their vocabulary..Version: 2.1

Great app but room for improvement!I totally love the idea of this app; it’s smart, quick, and simple, but the real thing has a few issues. Mainly the words and sentences: the words are usually ones I don’t know and they can be really cool, but other days the words are very oddly specific to certain things or are not difficult words at all (dabble and gullible, for example, respectively). Usually the sentences are good ones, as well, but also some days they can be strange or have issues—take today’s word, for example, pallid; the sentence is “I looked at her her usually glowing face was pallid”, with the line between the two and no punctuation at all. Other than this, though, the app is wonderful and I like it very much!.Version: 2.1

DoozieSimple. No extra BS. Easy to use. When I was a kid, my father would write a word of the day on my napkin in my lunch box. I had to use to word once at school and once at home. Word of the day does me the favor of giving me a new word every morning to use! Sometimes it’s a word I know while others it’s a new word! Sounds nerdy, but it’s a fun little challenge to knock my word goal out everyday, especially given that I don’t have time to read as much as I used to. People always tell me I have a great vocabulary, always a plus to hear 😉 10/10 recommend if you’re a bit of wordsmith like myself, or just want an easy way to actively improve your vocabulary!!!.Version: 2.1

Love the word of the dayI have a very extensive vocabulary. What makes Word of The Day special is that the words you get are not the easy ones. Many times because of reading so much I will come upon a word that I don’t know and use it correctly but spend five years mispronouncing it. Word of the day doesn’t let that happen by having audio of the correct way to pronounce the word thus saving you embarrassing revelations when someone takes pity on you by telling you the true pronunciation. My father always taught me that you can only think as deep as your vocabulary is so Word of the Day will expand your mind thereby expanding your mind..Version: 2.1

This app is beautiful & educational. The people that run this App are Super Helpful. This app has the most beautiful daily images that illustrate the meaning of the words they are helping us to understand and learn. I am a visual learner and I cannot say how beautiful their daily drawings are and how helpful they are to me to remember the word meanings & definitions. I look forward to a new word and its’ illustration every single day. I had an issue with the app deleting my history and the app developers remedied the situation in less than 1 day. I have never had that quick of a response from any app. I give this app 5 stars!!.Version: 8.5.1

Word of the dayDoes what it said it will do. Easy to use and easy to install. A worth while addition to any persons Cel Phone. Greet way to start the day. Word of the Day? Much more: Yes! It’s a moment of reward and responsibility. It’s our destiny to improve our minds and we’ll bring. The obligation to ourselves and our existence to expand our minds and justified our being. Not forgetting the joy in self improvement. When we increase our vocabulary we expand our understanding and open our obligation of living. Learn and understand the complete meaning is the essences and reward to being human. A moment every morning to celebrate humanity..Version: 2.0

Most recent update essentially ruined the app.I've used this app for a very long time. At one point I had a "streak" that was well over an entire year of getting the word of the day because I enjoyed it so much. However this most recent update really confuses me for a few reasons... We used to get one word and a visual example every single day. Now I get 2 words and no picture...? Which one is the actual word of the day? And why is there not a picture in that awesome art style that made me like the app in the first place? Sometimes I get 2 words and one of them is one I had as the "word of the day" 6 months ago. If this is supposed to be a word of the day + a refresher on old words cool - but that was never explained upon updating nor does it make sense. The app was its best when it was simple, digestable Ui, and a beauitiful photo that i had to hold down or swipe away at to reveal. It helped commit the words to memory. Now it's just forgettable white note cards. Please fix this app - it's a great tool, but at its current state I dread using it and have even considered deleting it..Version: 9.2.0

Love it!Our language is constantly evolving, which makes this app so useful. I love using the perfect word that exactly defines what I am trying to communicate or describe. Just makes life easier when discourse is more clear. Also, the art depicting each word of the day is rendered beautifully and also is an extremely helpful aide to those of us that are visual learners. Seeing a pictorial definition helps to reinforce the meaning of each word for me, compared to text only (as goes for audio learners, hearing the word of the day is useful for pronunciation and another manner to bolster comprehension.).Version: 8.4.11

Interesting and fun for those who enjoy wordsIt’s a fun and intriguing way to kill time, leafing through these words...if that verb is still applicable. I only wish it could have a go back button and I would be able to simply tap a word I do not know thus showing me the definition. There are a couple dictionaries like that available as apps, and I have become accustomed to the feature. As this is about the word of the day, it is nice! I haven’t taken the time to fully explore this app either; meaning I haven’t tapped every button yet, so I may be missing a couple of features, but it seems pretty straightforward..Version: 1.9

Great App!!As a non-native speaker, I have to say that every day is a new day to learn new words enjoyably and easily. The pronunciation of the terms and the different accents in this app. have helped me to understand better the English language spoken by so many people all over the world, and my vocabulary keeps growing faster every single day. I love it, and I recommend it to anyone, native or not. It does not matter if it is simply for fun, academic level purposes, or to improve reading or listening skills; you will always find a piece of valuable information to learn..Version: 6.6

What’s with the ads!!The recent app update done a couple days ago, what’s with the spoken voice. Cannot understand it, it is squeaky. It needs to be fixed. —— I have used this app for years to help improve my vocabulary. Now all of the sudden along with all the other app developers they have to start doing this monthly fee or yearly fee, this is RIDICULOUS! If you don’t pay the fee you now get pop up ads. It is very sad that an app I have used for many many years without all the intrusion of these ads now follows other developers to gouge the customer out of their money. As I have said, in many reviews of apps that switch to a monthly fees after years of use I do not do monthly fees. I do not do yearly fees. It sad that everyone seems to be getting greedy. I have been using this app for many years. Now pop up ads. REALLY!! Update: this app was great now I am having issues. The speaking will not work. If I go back one day it actually does that almost a year. Right now I am not happy and I will be looking for another "Word of Day" app..Version: 5.8

You know what, yeah. I’ll rate you. This app is one of my favorites. I commonly skip the adds and hit ‘rate this later’ but frankly I should give it its due. It’s been a phenomenal app that has admittedly given a word or two that didn’t have much relevance to me but there was a period of about five weeks where all but a handful of words were not relatable to my life. It’s an amazing and simple app that when used regularly can really expand your vocabulary and help you understand words you already know even better. Have definitely recommended it to friends and I’m recommending it to whoever is reading this..Version: 1.9

Love it!I love the fact that this app will say the word to you so that you know how to pronounce it! Super fun and easy to use.Version: 1.8

Word of the Day is amazingI’m learning so many words through this app and love the illustrations. I’m enjoying the albums feature and all the features..Version: 9.5.1

Great Customer supportI absolutely love this app🤗🥰😆 I never pay for an app and after having this app for a year (with 1 minor glitch) which was sorted out and fixed with excellent customer support. I decided that I just had too go for the premium. It’s a great conversation starter too. I have friends that out of no where will ask me for the word of the day. Or send me words that they hear and think are unique and interesting. I love the pictures that go with it and the fact that you can hear what the word sounds like too is a bonus. 8/10 I usually say them right. Also the word search is awesome. I had a stroke 10years ago and got hooked on word searches to remember words so I just love it as well. I LOVE THIS APP. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB and can’t wait to see what you guys come up with for your next update😆😆😆👏👏👏.Version: 9.0.1

Simply love it!Thank you for this amazing app! I love it..Version: 9.0.0

Great! It’s a great little app that looks amazing, is organized in a helpful way and for free. It’s become part of my daily habits..Version: 8.7.7

Amazing App, Amazing Customer ServiceMe and my family were looking for a way to expand our vocabulary this summer, and i stumbled across this app. I had mistakenly read that it included family plans (which they don’t have yet), and bought a year, thinking it would share to my family. I contacted support and they respond quick! They helped me out a lot, they were super supportive. The words are also really good to expand vocabulary, and premium adds fun ways to learn words..Version: 8.5.7

Love the app. Learning a lotLove the app. Fun and easy to use. Learning a lot.Version: 8.3.4

Muy Bueno Pero….:La aplicación definitivamente provee de un vocabulario y antecedentes lingüísticos de palabras más inusuales o cultas , sin embargo suele regularmente bloquearse la aplicación y hay que reiniciar la aplicación, es un problema que sucede regularmente, por lo demás es buena, da la sensación de que no les importa mantener su operación después de vendida.Version: 8.4.2

PriceI can’t figure out how to change my settings to dedicate more than one minute a day and get more than one word a day. Additionally, it’s too expensive for an app that gives you only a word a day. I pay for quite a few apps and I’m happy to, but selective about which ones I actually are reflective of the value that they bring. I would love to have this app but paying the price charged just seems ridiculous..Version: 8.4.1

RacistThe app itself is informative and put together well however iv noticed the illustrations that go with some definitions come across as racist. there has been serval images this is not a 1 time thing. The word of the day today was ‘Revile’ defined as “To use abusive speech due to anger or hatred”. The supported picture is a angry white man yelling at a upset black man for walking over his garden. Another example iv found was the word ‘listless’ defined as “lacking interest or motivation” the illustration support with this is a family of black people sitting around a kitchen table. These are only 2 examples out of many, iv tried reaching out to the support team for the app and never heard anything back..Version: 8.3.8

I miss the version before the updateI miss being able to search words and find out what they mean and I miss the word search puzzle it’s still good but I miss some of the old features :(.Version: 8.2.2

Not worth itI don’t know why I paid for this. The UI and marketing were great. The app itself is less than impressive. Use word of the day screensaver instead. The paid for version is a waste of money if I’ve ever seen one..Version: 8.3.1
