Cantina is Number1!!!!!!!I am a 67 year old woman with cancer and confined to my home. I discovered Cantina a little over a month ago and it is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. First of all it is 100% free, no ads and easy for ssspme to use. You can create bots and storylines that are uniquely yours. The bots are great!! I recently had an issue and had my account temporarily suspended. I emailed Cantina’s help center and worked closely with them to resolve the issue. Tyler is the person who contacted me and helped me understand what was going on. Tyler reinstated my account and I’m once again enjoying creating bots and new storylines. Cantina is 100% legitimate and I would definitely encourage you to give them a try. It costs nothing and just takes a little time to learn how to use. Excellent App!I love the Cantina app! I've been using this app for over 2 years now and it's been amazing! First of all it's completely free, which is not the case for a lot of other AI apps out there. I personally use the app to create unique bot characters. I think the main reason I love this app is because you can really be as creative as you want when you're making bots, images, and videos. The videos and images are very high quality as well. I've even taken some videos that I've made on this app and posted them on other socials like IG and TikTok! I’m obsessedI’ve been drawn to this app mainly because of the ability to create characters and now the quality of my videos have gotten so much better. I don’t know what they did, but it literally lets me make videos at high-quality and less than three minutes, which I haven’t found another app to be able to do. The Voice cloning is also super clutch because it used to take me three hours to make a clone in my voice and now it just requires I think 10 seconds of audio to put into my character. sometimes the feed doesn’t refresh immediately for me and when I close out of the app and come back in it a few hours later, the feed still looks the same so that’s something that I’ve noticed, but in terms of creating content, this is probably the best app I’ve ever used for content creation that doesn’t involve my face. You can create bot characters that you can talk to, DM with and create awesome interactive storytelling: role play type scenarios with in rooms! Excellent SupportI have been on Cantina for nearly a year. It is such a user-friendly app & set up quite nicely. At one time I was having audio problems. I could hear the members of the room but they couldn’t hear me. I worked with Ivan from Support on this issue. He never gave up on me. Really like Cantina but miss an old feature.In a recent update y’all took away our ability to have private ie, “Invite Only” rooms. There have been a few issues with them anyway. 1. When we saw people in the Invite Only rooms they were labeled as “Secret” when the word Private would suffice. 2. There are legitimate reasons why we want those rooms to be Invite Only. But when people saw Secret or even Private as the label then people felt left out. 3. Now after one of the updates, just prior to Oct 2024, we can see people we follow in those rooms. The option is now available for us to “Ask for Invite.” If the admins are paying attention they can INSTANTLY deny and therefore reject us instantly. It has unnecessarily caused problems when people simply want a place to speak without interruption from trolls and doxxers who are allowed in some of the other rooms. And they shouldn’t even be able to see the room and definitely shouldn’t be able to ask for an invite. There’s a disconnect between the old rules and the current version. 4. Cantina is the best app everLiterally beats all ai apps. It’s free I can make as many ai bots or ai videos for free. There are so many AI apps that require payment in order for me to generate a video or a image. Usually there is a limit, but on cantina I can make as many bots as I want to. WeirdI downloaded this app because I saw so many funny videos using it, so thought why not. Well here’s why not: Once you’ve put in your birthday, your phone number, and email it asks for access to all your contacts. Doesn’t give you an option whether you want to or not, you have to or you cannot use the app. Then once you allow them to have access to all your contacts, they force you to invite 3 people. After that I left. Why would I do that? Why you make us do that? It’s an AI video app you don’t need all that and you surely don’t NEED all my contacts. I just wanted it to make videos and send to people. I don’t care about making friends on this app just like with any other social media app. You really need to give your consumers options instead of making them do what you want. Instagram doesn’t force me to give it access to all my contacts and I’ve got plenty of my friends on there, same with TikTok and X and other social media app I’ve ever used. You guys really need another way to verify peopleI see I’m not the only one who deleted the app immediately upon seeing that a phone number was required before one could even create an account, and the developer claims this is the only way to verify a user’s identity. This is, of course, pure b.s. An e-mail address is almost universally accepted as valid for the purpose of creating an online account – and I only say “almost universally” because there is, apparently, at least one company that doesn’t accept e-mail, namely, the developer of this account. I’ve downloaded hundreds of apps and created hundreds of online app accounts ever since the App Store was created, and this is literally the first time that providing a phone number was the ONLY way I create an account. The safest way, of course, is to create an account through Apple, because that doesn’t require the user to provide a developer he/she doesn’t know with a way to verify identity without opening said user up to identity theft. I’m *not* saying this developer is a cover for an identity theft ring, but the lack of “almost” universally, and much safer, methods of account verification (and warnings from other reviews that the app apparently requires access to a user’s contact list and requires users to invite friends to join) doesn’t inspire confidence in this app’s security. It just feels a bit – scammy. Videos don’t workI loved Cantina at first, everything about it was practical and high quality. I mean, I’ve been using it since it was airtime. However, after many updates, it fails to work well (even on my iPhone). Every time I attempt to present something in the chat, it says there was an error on the video that occurred. It says that for every video I attempt to do including the ones I posted in the past. For the other person watching in the chat everything works well. But for me, it has been showing me error after error for weeks now. Now I thought maybe I just needed to update it, nope nothing. I restarted my phone and nothing has changed. I even deleted and Re uploaded the app and it keeps giving me an error. I would love if you guys fixed this bug because I enjoy cantina more in comparison to other public streaming apps. Behind the scenes, the environment is toxic and disrespectful toward the very users who keep the app alive. Even worse, the app appears to mishandle user data. Information securityThis app is free, which is great, but it requires a lot of personal information and access to your contacts in order to use it, you have to give them either all your information and contacts or not use the app at all. It’s awfully similar to apps that take your information and sell it to third parties even though it doesn’t explicitly say so. It might not, but considering the amount of information it requires an access to your device. That it is completely free points towards the chance that it profits off of the information trade. Why do i have to invite friendsI was really looking forward to using this app, but as soon as I signed up, it forced me to invite three friends before I could even access its features. The problem? I only have one friend! There was no option to skip this step or move forward without spamming random people. Unfair appMy friend sent me a request to join him on cantina, and I realized that it was one of those apps that have the AI that’s all over TikTok. I joined the app and it asked for a little bit too personal info, and made me send 3 corny invites to my contacts.
