Gymatic (a.k.a VimoFit) is the first and only app to automatically identify your exercises, count your repetitions, and log your workouts. What is more, it auto tracks many stats no human can track. Bring science to your workout!

Our mind-blowing technology has been featured on AOL, Mashable, TechCrunch, Huffington Post, and more…

- Gymatic not only auto log exercises and count reps, it also collect many advanced stats for each set, such as
* Heart rate (average and max) (only when using Apple Watch)
* Rest and work time (work time only starts when you move, rest time starts as soon as movement ends. No need to mess with timer when you need to rest after a set, it is all automatic.)
* Velocity
* Power
* Tempo
* Rep speed
* Form consistency
* Range consistency
* Speed consistency

- Connect with Apple Health app to read heart rate and contribute to activity rings.

- Get more accurate calories burned feedback then with typical fitness trackers because Gymatic knows EXACTLY which exercises you’re performing!

- It takes just 3 seconds to train any new exercise so there’s no limit to how many exercises Gymatic can track.

- Gymatic tracks your Crossfit, bodybuilding, weightlifting, strength training, HIIT workouts, TRX training, kettlebell training, calisthenics, machine exercises, and much much more!

- Stay motivated with remarkable progress tracking including 1 rep max estimates, calories burned and all advanced stats.

- Support both FreeForm mode, where you can perform any exercises, and Guided mode, where Watch/Phone guides you through a pre-programmed workout.

- Many workouts are included + unlimited workouts shared by the community.

- Track your indoor cardio and accurately count calories for running, cycling, rowing, elliptical, and stair stepper.

- Track your swim and count your strokes.

Tips:
- Wear your watch just a little higher on your wrist than usual. (above the bone)
- Tighten the watch on your wrist. (just snug, not a death grip)
- Want to track Leg Press? Strap phone to your leg. Or keep hands on your leg to move along.

Developer Note:
This is a new technology and you’re one of the first to try it out! We know it’s not perfect yet. Please help us improve the app for everyone by reporting bugs to [email protected]

Gymatic Workout Tracker App Comments & Reviews

Gymatic Workout Tracker Positive Reviews

Works, Great Concept, a bit Quirky SometimesGymnastic works surprising well. Most exercises track automatically and I love the logs it creates. I especially enjoy the watch app. No bulky phone needed. Its a bit like having a trainer on your wrist. I’d rate this 5 stars but the watch version isn’t as intuitive as it could be. It gets confusing when you try to edit existing sets— do you tap? press and hold then tap? swipe? am I editing the current exercise or a future exercise? Also, the haptic feedback is hit-or-miss. If the screen is off, you don’t always feel or hear the rest stopwatch. Despite the quirks, it’s an impressive product and I look forward to future improvements..Version: 4.6.3

Best Workout App- End of DiscussionUpdate 2: one bug was fixed and replaced with another. Now when I start a freeform workout from my Apple Watch, I can’t stop it once I’m done. The only option to pause. I can’t to power my watch down to stop the program from running. And of course the entire workout was recorded, so frustrating! Update: I originally ranked this 5 stars but for the past few weeks I keep getting the same error that my logs weren't saved. Even after resetting the app, the same result occurs. I do not see an effective way to seek tech support and therefore must lower this app to 3 starts until this problem is fixed. This is the Best Workout App for me; End of Discussion. I've been using this app since I got my Apple Watch about a month ago. I've used it twice a day everyday. It has learned my routine and has become more accurate with the rep count. I just open the app on my Apple Watch, start a season and it recognizes the exercise I'm doing and records the reps. It's that easy. You can't go wrong with this app. I tried the other apps but this app beat them by a mile and offered everything I needed for my workouts..Version: 4.3.9

Amazing motion tracking...but that’s it.This is a good app for tracking your motion and recognition of exercises. It’s so nice to not have to keep logging info during a workout but unfortunately the convenience stops there. Unfortunately it’s not 100% accurate and usually misses a rep in the beginning and at the end. Unfortunately there is room for improvement for editing exercises from the watch, it is cumbersome to keep fixing the auto log and there’s no way to bulk update or go back a set. The way the app works it’s very easy to accidentally log a set and you have to go back and delete them and re-add them. If this could get cleaned up it would be easier to use the auto log feature The worst part of the app is the guided workouts. They have no guide without using the internet to go to a website that explains them but it would be easier to google it at that point. No instructions transfer to the app or the watch and it really makes the app harder to use for an entire workout. They seem to have ignored a lot of the guidance so you already need to know what you’re doing before getting into this app..Version: 4.4.0

It does a great job but some work has to be done.First of all its a great app period and deserves five star. Update: just did jump rope. Its put me in rest even if i stop for a second or two. Its really frustrating. Update 2: Sorry i have to cancel subscription its not working. I was thrilled at first. But it needs some work. Suggestion infuse some manual readings with machine learning instead of whole machine learning. But it needs some work. Guided voice commands dont work with music playback thats a must. Cardio data is little different then any other strenght exercises. Eg. When i run i need to know how many miles i ran. With which speed i ran. What was my intensity chart during this run. Rep count can be made more accurate but i am still happy what its doing right now.. The problem happens if i stopped in between. Cure is just count rest period in background. Dont show it on apple watch and keep the rep count where i stopped or i will go mannually to next set and if i started rep should be counted as i exercise for that particular set. Syncing data with activity app when i am running or doing elliptical. Data should be synced as a running or elliptical not stregnth training. I am not using cardio option on watch i add cardio in workout routine. Like warm up and cool down and normal cardio day. Ui:- it can be make better and data can be shown in beautiful and understandable way it collects..Version: 4.7.3

The best workout tracker hands downI’ve been using this app since day one and still do so every day even years later. I’ve even tried others over the years and nothing else is even close. My only complaint is that it hasn’t improved much over the years. Although that’s just a testament as to how good this app really is. With that in mind, I’d like to make some suggestions for improvement: - Combine pre-existing workouts so I can, for example, alternate between parts of an ab workout with a chest workout and not have to sort through all of my exercises as I would in a “free form” workout. - The ability to superset multiple exercises from a workout on the fly. - Either / or options for workouts. That way I can have several choices within a workout especially in a busy gym where preferred equipment may be unavailable. - Multiple levels of categorizing for exercises. - Metadata support for custom exercises - Support for external / multiple BLE accelerometers to better identify and track exercises. These devices are cheap and easy to obtain, plus they could even sell them. - the ability for watch and phone to work together while a workout is in progress. In spite of these suggestions don’t get me wrong this is hands down the best workout tracking app on any platform..Version: 4.6.3

Good days and bad daysThis app has the potential to be the greatest thing to happen the gym!!!! Most of my exercises are tracked nearly perfectly when I use the app on my watch. However, once in a blue moon, the app will have a bad day. It will jump to the next exercise 3 reps into a set. This is frustrating during some exercises like squats. The app will let “undo” if it moves ahead on its own. But you only have 3 seconds to tap that little button. That is not happening weighted out under the bar. If you do not catch it in time. There is no going back or fixing it live in then app. If you go to hit undo, and you are just a hair late, you have now just hit the finished exercise area on the watch. So you just skipped two sets. The second mistake can be “undone”. But the first is now uneditable. You can select to move ahead with a different exercise, but you can not select which set #. So if it skips set two of a particular lift, or thinks it detects a different exercise, and you try to go back to the original lift, but you cannot tell it which set you want to do. It will automatically start you at set 3. Until the AI of the program is better I think the user should have an option to let the use manually Mark when each exercise is finished. And can we get a permanent undo button located away from the finished set area?.Version: 4.7.1

The app is just okThe app has roughly 20 pre installed workout routines. You can create a routine yourself, but it’s a bit of a pain. There was once instructional videos that showed you how to perform each exercise, but the website the app link to is now requiring a membership to see those videos that were once free to watch. The watch app does an ok job and keeping track of your reps and will occasionally switch sets without user input once you have completed your reps. Normally you have to tap the watch to switch sets. The watches count is also off a little. If I’m doing 20 reps I usually hit 21 or 22 before it lets me know that I hit 20, and that’s with exercises that it has “learned” my movements for. So, is this the best weightlifting app... probably not. There is definitely room for improvement..Version: 4.7.3

Great Strength Training App!Overall my experience on this app has been pretty great. I got it because I wanted a way to track my gym progress without carrying around a notepad in the gym. I also downloaded it because I only use my Apple Watch in the gym (no phone). Being able to sync workouts that you’ve created to your watch is clutch! My only qualm with the on phone app is the social features. If they expanded that more to allow better connection to people nearby, that would be fun. Also a feature to workout WITH someone (who also has the app) would be cool as well but that would take software changes lol. All in all, I’d give this app a 9 out of 10.Version: 4.6.3

This is a great app to optimize and track workoutsI'm by no means an expert, I took the gamble and spent $40 downloading several workout apps. Gymatic has definitely come to the table for being the best that I have tried, even so to a point where I signed up for the premium package after a few days on the exercises. My workouts are consistently dynamic and the app allows me not to think about the weights. It tracks them for me as I gain strength. I'm very impressed with the workout sets, adding, deleting or changing certain exercises, and the workout timer that is included between each set as you log it. I personally love this app!.Version: 4.3.1

Latest update fixed a lot! (Updated review)Update: The latest update really fixed a lot of crashes and bugs. The app is looking very promising again! If activity notifications is on and you complete a goal during a workout, it can still crash the app. So that's worth turning off beforehand. But unlike the last build where it crashed all the time, this version is WAY more stable. Great job on the fixes! Original 5 star review below: This app does everything I want it to. It keeps track of my movements, and I can easily log reps and weight. The auto detection learns quickly and is very accurate so far! And the heart rate tracker seems accurate too. I also mostly use the Apple Watch app to log everything. No crashes so far, AND it updates my activity rings when I finish a workout. I also love the automatic "rest time" feature! That way I don't have to start a manual timer in between sets. Great app! Worth going to premium!.Version: 4.3.7

This is one of the coolest workout apps for weight training i have ever used!I tried this at the gym for the first time yesterday and after training it for a motion it was was pretty good at remembering and identifying the workout each following set. I have also been looking for a good app to record calories burnt during weight training and this works better than the open workout i was using with the watch’s built in workout app. I have only used this one time, I’m not sure how it will work with legs but either way manually logging was also simple. So in my opinion a pretty solid app..Version: 4.3.9

Like having a personal trainer!I've been using this free app for about 6 weeks, and have seen a change in my body. I'm definitely leaner. I've been working out my whole life and have always been in good shape, but I really had no goal; just a routine. I love how this app prepares my workouts, guides me through it, and auto tracks reps and weight. I don't get bored, and this app has re-motivated me to hit the gym. I look forward to workouts with my online trainer!! I even bought the premium. Plus all the workouts are in my Apple Watch so it's even easier to lift. Thanks!!.Version: 4.3.1

Watch app has been buggy since updateI’ve been the app for about a year now, and have been loving it. The watch app works great in general, but I’ve noticed that it has been buggy lately. Each time I open it or finish a workout, I see an error message at the top (which I’ve never seen before) that there are logged workouts that need to be saved. Even when tapping to save, it seems to get stuck in a loop. When checking the app on the phone, it seems to double or triple log some of the workouts. Other than the new bug, I love it!!.Version: 4.4.3

Terrible appIn theory, this is a great app, but in practice it is terrible. It counts reps while I’m running, instead of just looking at the time. Sometimes it just doesn’t start counting reps. Other times it starts me off on a different machine while I am walking to my next machine. I just upgraded my Apple Watch, and thought it would get better., But it is much much worse. Everything lags so much, that it is unusable. And the only thing worse than the app is the customer service. I sent two emails, with no response. Do not get this app. Maybe it works with other devices, but not with an Apple Watch..Version: 4.9

Still needs work on watch interface.I have used this off and on the last 3-4 years. There has been some considerable improvements. But I still feel there is a lack of available workout exercises in it’s library and at times it doesn’t synch well. I would like to have more control in how I can share my info on social media. And I wish it can partner with food tracking apps like My fitness so I can really focus on my overall health..Version: 4.8.5

Best workout tracking app I've seen so far.Using the free version, but seriously considering upgrading to premium. The UI is excellent and the Watch app is one of the most useful companion apps I've seen for the watch (let's you log the set just like on the phone, and times the workout so you can put the phone away, count the reps, tracks cardio workout.).The workout selection is excellent, and I've used the videos on multiple occasions to see if I'm doing an exercise correctly.A solid 5 stars..Version: 4.3.1

The best app for workout log!I tried a lot of workout tracking apps and this one has the most clean, awesome design and easy to use interface from all of them. Easy to type your sets and reps and it shows your last workout numbers as you do workout so you can keep track of your progress. The only thing I would do to make it perfect is a calendar where you can log your workouts by color (ex: leg day = red and that shows a monthly view of your routine..Version: 4.3.3

Great app! Update again.Been using the app for about 6 months now and love it. However after the last update, it has been glitching on my apple watch gen 2. It doesnt track right sometimes or loads a different workout that is loaded on my phone. Reatarting the apps on both normally syncs them back up but never had this before the last update. Please look into the new bugs. Thanks because this app is the best workout tracking app..Version: 4.3.1

The bestHonestly where has this been my whole life? I usually just use the build in Apple Watch for tracking work outs and just use the “indoor walk” for tracking weightlifting because there was no better alternative until now. The fact that this tracks reps and you can teach is new exercises is unparalleled. The community challenges are honestly really fun and cute too. And everything is free! I can’t believe it honestly. Easily my favorite app..Version: 4.6.3

So-soIt does some things very well. Amazingly accurate counting of reps…. But a couple of super annoying issues. It switches to the next set sometimes in what feels randomly. I would love to turn this off and rely on a tap from me but can’t seem to find a way to do this. Also, need the option when it does this to scroll back to the set I’m still on. A little more work would make this app awesome. In the meantime, I’m still looking. Hope the developers will add a few features..Version: 4.10

Good for tracking Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Pull-UpsI do simple exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups throughout the day. It is nice to have a quick way to record them and track my total workout for the day. I deduct one star because they are requiring me to sign up for a monthly subscription just to compare my workouts day to day over through a month. If it was a single purchase I would consider it, but a monthly plan seems like a money grab..Version: 4.5

Love itI absolutely love this app great way to log my workouts. Its great you can use either a pre programed workout or creat your own. Syncs to my apple watch perfectly. I would have given 5 stars but it does have a glitch. It will just shut down sometimes especially if you go back and forth between the app and other features on the phone. If this gets resolved would definitely give it 5 stars..Version: 4.6.3

Perfect Gym companionBeen using it over past two days for upper body workouts, around 12 different exercises over the two days. Quite pleased. The first time you do an exercise (from the extensive database list), it will learn and store your motions, so it’s gets more accurate in its rep counts based on your moves. I have now configured it exactly how I want to and I find the rep count highly accurate..Version: 4.8.5

Best workout app out there.I have been using this app for nearly 1 1/2 years, it’s a great app to have for any fitness activity, very pleased with it. At first I used the built in app features for my workouts, now I custom build my workouts. There are a few little bugs, on occasion that creep in, but nothing you can’t deal with or isn’t easily fixed with a reboot of the watch..Version: 4.4.6

Fake sets! Please fix!!!!!!!!!!!I’m having a problem where my Apple Watch will give me an error from the app saying that logs cannot be transferred to the cloud because of server issues. In addition, the app on my phone is creating extra sets that I never did and I had to manually delete them. Please look into this I am a paying customer thank you..Version: 4.4.0

Hard find, great way to get startedI'm one of those guys who've for the most part neglected going to the gym. The nice thing about this app is that it will allow you create your workout, track it, along with a great exercise database, It has been highly helpful as a broke college student, getting into lifting, without wanting to pay $70-90/ session for a trainer!.Version: 4.3.1

New Registration Req'dI've been using this app for years, and I've really been liking it. Today, I open it up and can't use it without registering for an account, which does collect data according to the terms of service and privacy policy. Both documents also state that registration is *optional*, but the registration screen cannot be bypassed, so the app is no longer usable. All of my old workouts are now inaccessible..Version: 4.9

Changing livesIt seems a bit dramatic to say a workout tracking app is changing lives but I started using it and told my wife about it. For a woman who never lifts and has always been intimidated by the gym, it has made a world of difference for her. For me, it auto tracks workout to keep me from getting bored and focus on my form. Love it!.Version: 4.3.1

Excellent workout logsBefore the app I used to log my workouts on a notebook ie. name of workout, sets & reps. Gymatic uses the accelerometer on the watch to recognize the workout you’re doing and the # of reps you did. You can either do a Guided workout which you prep before hand and then follow or FreeForm. Say you just wanna do some random pushups & sit-ups then you’d choose FreeForm..Version: 4.6.3

Option to buyI’ve found the free version of the Gymatic app very useful. In fact it is my number one app when I use the total gym. And it does justify a monthly subscription for me, and maybe many others. If there was a option to buy without a subscription then I would be the first in line..Version: 4.8.5

Great app for tracking your workoutsI’ve been using Gymatic for years and it is the only app that I would recommend for tracking your weight workouts. It allows you to teach the app what exercise you are doing and even learns some on it’s own. Very happy with this app..Version: 4.15

Awesome app!Takes the guesswork out of your workout. I love this app as it auto tracks my workout based on my goals and experience level. It even knows what amount of reps and log the weight I used for a previous work out, and adjusts the intensity accordingly without my influence the next time the same workout comes up..Version: 4.3.1

Update: Fixed! Paid for Yearly Subscription but not recognized in appUpdate: the latest app update fixed the subscription issues! The app is great! I’ve tried support tickets, emails, but I’m still waiting for some help. Problem started a week ago. No matter what I do, I can get it to work. Someone please help. The app is great!.Version: 4.8.2

The Best Workout TrackerI try many apps and find this app. I used this app for six months every day and it's the best.A little problem still exist and it is suddenly closed the app when using and must reopen for restarting the workout. But many positive features cause run the app continually. Hope the bug is fixed..Version: 4.3.1

Seems promisingHaven’t used it in the gym yet, today will be my first. One thing I can’t figure out is how to get voice feedback to play through bt headphones while music is playing. As soon as I start music the voice plays through my watch. This would be a great feature to have. Will update my review after first workout.Version: 4.7.3

App statusDo you have any plans to fix or update the app to make it compatible with iOS 16.5. My issue is the same as the most recent posts (I attached a screenshot to the work order). I've contacted you via email (with a work order) and the phone number listed on your website that goes to Juan's voicemail (I've left messages). No response to any message. Please advise..Version: 4.10

Dead endWork like a charm until trial end. Then “subscribe to premium” pop up and whatever you do, you can’t get rid of it. Subscribed for premium for one month, then for a whole year and it make no difference. They took the money, but still want me to subscribe and wont allowed to continue. Customer support do not exist. Call to apple and request refund is only option left. Clever idea, terrible implementation..Version: 4.8.1

Great App for Weight TrainingFinally, an app tailored for weight training that is easy to use and syncs seamlessly between IPhone and Apple Watch. I’ve tried half a dozen other apps which left a lot to be desired. Customizing workouts with Gymatic is easy and fast. My hat is off to the builders who obviously know what they’re doing..Version: 4.6.3

ImpressiveI’m a numbers guy and I really love the accuracy of the watch counting reps for you. I enjoy making a workout using this app and the ease of implementation. The process of creating a workout could be a little better. For example a drag and drop sort instead of the up arrow thing..Version: 4.6.3

Almost works, but watch app is far too automatedThe guiding is very nice, but there needs to be a bit more manual control. The motion tracking simply doesn't work well enough and it's too easy to get the workout off track (it adds an extra set or thinks I'm done before I actually am done) and I can't figure out how to go back. It also would be nice to have the ability to take notes.Version: 4.5.1

UsefulWell organized app. I only wish it allowed you to use the Apple Watch’s keyboard to enter weights. If I’m doing a super set, I’m switching often between weights and using the sequential scrolling is frustrating. Just give me a keypad please..Version: 4.10

Excellent Gym AppI have been using this App on my Nike Apple Watch & AirPods for 3 months. I started with the trial then bought a 1 year premium. With the Nike watch face I have the Nike Run App, Gymatics and Music icons on the main screen. I have a custom warm up routine starting with 6 sets of stretching then 5 reps of 12 for each machine. I then using the Nike run app for the Treadmill then return to Gymatics for my cool down routine. The Gymatics App counts the reps perfectly and signals me via voice at 10 reps (which is adjustable). Very happy & would recommend..Version: 4.3.9

Great but....- You can’t set the MaxHR, it pretends to let you, but then it doesn’t stick - the Apple Watch advances to the next set/workout automatically even if you turn off that option - the voice for HR on the watch doesn’t work half the time.Version: 4.4.5

Good appI’ve been using a few different ones to try and get the right mix Things I like Accurate tracker Fast syncing with phone for exercise update Let’s you know the training zones you are in for heart rate. Some of the suggested workouts Things I don’t like (have contacted support ) Settings for weight (Kg or lbs) doesn’t stick. Birthdate doesn’t stick. Wish list Way to import csv of workouts.Version: 4.3.1

Good could be betterGood app, needs improvement like being able to export your workout numbers and send to someone or compare yourself. Picks up all motion on the Apple Watch which is annoying. Can be super sensitive takes a bit to figure out..Version: 4.6.3

UI Sucks.You literally have another app with a great UI, the “Personal Trainer” one. It’s been years; can we get an update on that front? Seriously, you guys have such great tech on your hands. Don’t you guys ever wonder how why you’ve never been the “Editor’s Pick,” while these other, near featureless apps get all the front page glory? Sure, you’re always in the top lists, but you’re never number one, and really, I’ve literally tried every pro app there is, it’s not like there’s a ton of competition. IT’S YOUR UI. It’s underwhelming, and looks like a first-draft, or proof-of-concept. Apple Watch UI is fine, but seriously, if you guys want to be taken seriously as a force to be reckoned, then please, for the love of God, give this thing a well-deserved facelift..Version: 4.6.3

Really greatThis app is great. I have been wanting something like this for a long time. Please keep updating. This app, coupled with the Apple Watch is priceless. I am really surprised that this app has not gotten more attention. I'm a total gym noobie. I love the little videos that show me how to do everything..Version: 3.3

Works really wellBest weight training tracker I've tried. Works great with Apple Watch and health app..Version: 3.3

Ground breaking appThis is a ground breaking app, as the title suggests; this meaning that it is not only innovative and very very needed but also brand new. The app has more than a few bugs and the interface could use some work but that doesn't take away from the fact that it changes the way you workout. The app charges 10$ American (14 Canadian for me) to get the full benefits. So don't be fooled by the "get" symbol. Is it worth it? Yes!! By a long shot. I trust that the app creators will continually improve the app until it is not only a viable option but the standard. This is the first app of it's kind so I wouldn't be surprised to see other apps pop up that might have the same capabilities. Of course since this one has a head start it would be reasonable to expect this one to be more accurate. From somebody who has used every single damn workout app in the App Store, I can say one thing for certain: simplicity is king. And this app is about as usable at the others that I've tried and the rep counting capabilities are obviously unparalleled in the app market as of January 2017. The app is buggy so I've made a habit of writing them down and emailing them to the company. I just want the best workout app possible because I've been through too many garbage ones and I've got a feeling that this one will eventually mature into just that. Get this app, try it out, if you don't like the interface or think it isn't accurate enough yet come back later, the updates are rolling out with a good frequency. After using the app for about 2 weeks as my only workout app I can safely say that this app was worth it, and the new update is a big improvement. This app was the reason I bought an Apple Watch because of a YouTube video I saw about the rep counting. Get this app👍🏼.Version: 2.0.3

Love this App it's the gym app to have !!!This is a must have app for weight training, very smart technology keep up the good work!!!.Version: 2.0.2
