TeamReach – Your Team App Positive Reviews

Great team app! This app is great for letting team members know when group play is scheduled and when using the calendar function, everyone can see who will be there. Adding “events” to the calendar is quick and easy. Our pickleball group used to message each other on their phones all day trying to see who was playing that day, and it was aggravating getting all those text messages all the time. This app has made it so much more organized and everyone can see for themselves who will be playing. An additional feature that would be helpful is a way for administrators to access emergency contact information, address, phone, health issues, etc. should the need arise. Playing with different age groups (some in their 80’s) creates a need for this information- just in case- and would be great to have handy within the app instead of having to keep up with a separate document or database/app. Thanks for developing this helpful app!.Version: 5.8

Possible areas for improvementI have been using this app for over a year now as a manager for a boys U15 travel soccer team. Conceptually the app is ok, but like everything else their is room for improvement. Firstly the notifications does not always come through. I’ve sent messages to the group and not everyone will get it. First I thought they didn’t have their notifications turned on, but that was not the case. Notifications are not consistent. I sent a group message and my wife who was sitting next to me on the couch did not get a notification that something was posted to the group. Secondly, I recommend their be a way to disable or remove the “maybe” from the RSVP options. When people answer maybe it makes it difficult to know if you will have enough players for events. Thirdly, I suggest you implement a read receipt for messages (like Heja) so the sender can see who have seen the messages especially when we already know the notifications are not reliable. This will let the sender know to contact players directly by other means (text) if an answer is needed immediately..Version: 5.9

Great app for coaches and playersThe calendar is the best part of the app. Coaches can load all dates, addresses, and other details. Members can indicate their availability. The text part is good and you can even do a survey on things like uniforms or places to eat. This app saves so much time. Members can click on an event, click on the address and it goes straight to maps. Coaches can post set events, but they can also propose considered events, like practices. Then, coaches can check which date/time work best before deciding when to meet. I agreed to take on coaching my 50+ tennis team because I thought I could manage without too much hassle using this app. Even our 70-85 year old ladies were all easily able to sign in and use the app. We love it! Two suggestions: allow posts in the text to be edited. Allow an opt in to share team contact info (like phone numbers or emails.).Version: 6.1

Good, But Needs WorkIt’s simple and easy to use, however it could use some work. There is a serious lag or glitch that needs to be addressed firstly. It could unintentionally cause misclicks and you are more likely to sign up for the wrong dates because of it. This has caused many issues and frustration in the very large recreational group I’m in. Secondly, there needs to be a tab that shows everything you are signed up for. This would make it easy to see what is upcoming, and also a good way to check for accidental sign ups due to the lag. Thirdly, it would be great if there were alerts. I’m in a large group that includes a waitlist but when you move up from the waitlist to the “yes I’m going,” you are not alerted about your new change in status. This has also led to much frustration in our group and causes people to be no-shows when they don’t know they are moved up. The only way to know currently is to constantly check. Lastly, the messaging should be in a separate location from the main posts to avoid confusion. It is currently all mixed together and feels disorganized and confusing. I do appreciate that it is a simple app without excessive bells and whistles. Easy to sign up for stuff apart from the lag. And you can set limits to how many people can sign up and don’t have to invite people individually. I also like that there are not advertisements; that does count for a lot. With a few interface tweaks this app could be perfect..Version: 5.9

I tried them all...this was the best!My 12-year-old daughter plays on three travel/club teams and they each utilize a combination of group texts, email, and Facebook. Functionally, it’s a mess as not everyone is accessing information in the same way. I assist her basketball coach with admin tasks and he asked me to find an app that could replace these other methods of communication. I tried out TeamSnap, TeamApp, InstaTeam, Sportzly, and Remind. I also explored paid services like Thapos, Coach Hippo, Pronto, and RosterBot. This one was the best to fit our needs, which were: 1) Group messaging or “chat” page 2) Scheduling with iCal or google calendar export 3) RSVP/availability function 4) Direct messages 5) Surveys 6) Photo upload 7) Sharing contact info The message board function was most important to this team. I also wanted something that was easy to use and intuitively designed. Coach and some parents are not tech-saavy, and I don’t want/need a million functions available to parents. This one fit the bill and was totally free. No banner ads, no hidden functions that are “subscription-only”. There is no reason to pay $150+ in annual fees for the extras. It just stresses everyone out. I also like that the banner and icon are totally customizable. Cannot recommend this app enough, will be suggesting the other teams use it too!.Version: 2.8

The best app for organizing formal and informal sports groupsMy wife found this app a couple of years ago as we were brainstorming about how to handle an adult soccer group that I got saddled with helping to keep organized. The group was just a pick-up game group, but we had a lot of “regulars,” and we all loved playing together. I knew we needed something more than the clunky email list we were using, but it had to be simple and low to no cost. The app has been phenomenally helpful, and has helped us get through COVID (so far), which has required a whole new level coordination and communication. It has been so successful (eliminating about 90% of my manual organization activities) that it got referred to another sports group: old guys doing Pickle Ball. Highly recommended!.Version: 5.8

Could use some upgradesOverall this app has been very useful for our team. I would suggest improving on a few things though. Messages get posted but there’s no way to tell which messages you have read. It should be more like email…maybe a change of color for read and unread messages. There’s also not a way to react to comments of messages posted. It would also be nice to be able to post more than 5 pictures at a time. I’ve had several parents say they aren’t getting notifications even though they have them turned on. I know I’ve had this happen a time or 2 myself. We love the calendar and how easy it is to edit it and all the info that is entailed with it. This app was good but it has potential to be better and I hope that it is by next football season because we would love to continue using it..Version: 5.9

Great AppWe use this app to communicate with our Parents/ Caregivers and Special needs players. Love the ease of the calendar for making any changes to our schedule and to alert to cancellations, etc. would love to be able to add documents into the calendar, such as every week we have scores and averages, it would be nice to be able to attach that to have a reference .Billy at Support suggested save it as a PDF or attach it as a spread sheet for now, but would pass along the suggestion. Also would like more of an online help section that would address common issues or step by step directions . This app is very self explanatory for the most part, but feel I may be missing out on its full potential..Version: 5.9

Easy to use, missing a couple of features. As a very basic meet-up scheduler and sign-up tool, TeamReach is excellent: intuitive, easy to use, has most of the needed basic features such as public and private messaging, attendance limits, very easy calendar management. A couple things are missing: one cannot register for more than one place, although one can leave a comment that one is bringing more people. For an attendanc- limited venue, not being able to show the actual number of attendees, including guests, is a drawback. Also, it would be nice to be able to search for all of one’s sign-ups, rather than having to fumble through all of the possible ones..Version: 6.1

Problem with Direct MessagesOverall a good app. I’ve used it for my teams for the last 5 years and are currently on 7 different groups. Than you so much for the app. It has made communicating with my teams so much easier. A couple of suggestions that would make this app perfect for me. The main problem I have is with direct messaging, you cannot see who you are messaging without having to first go into the message then tap the top again. It is such a headache when you have multiple direct messages going on at once. I need to check all of them to find the correct thread. I often just start a new message because it’s such a headache. Please make it so I can see who I'm messaging without going into each individual message. I don’t need to see my name when replying, believe me I already know I’m on the direct message. Maybe create a setting for the leader to choose to allow everyone to see the results of a poll without having to answer it. I now include a extra option just so parents can see if their child has answered the poll without screwing with my count. Allowing more than 5 photos to be uploaded at once would also be great..Version: 5.9

Fantastic app - one requestThis is a fantastic app. I am curious as to how you monetize since you have no fee and no ads? I have one request. It would be great if people could scroll through all of the scheduled events and easily see which ones they signed up for. Currently, you have to drill down into each event to see whether you signed up or not. It seems like it would be pretty trivial for you to indicate on the schedule summary, if somebody is signed up, like show a different color or an icon or some thing and then they would not need to drill down to see whether they had signed up. Is there any way to get in touch with your tech-support? Thank you for the great app..Version: 5.9.4

TeamReach is a fantastic app!We use TeamReach to organize our regional Pickleball community, and even though it wasn’t specifically designed for this purpose, it works great. We’re able to post events and communicate with each other efficiently and effectively, avoiding text threads and other information silos that breakdown the group into parts. Furthermore, and amazingly enough, the two times we had an issue with our TeamReach group (which was entirely our own fault) we were able to call the TeamReach help line and speak to someone who fixed our problem immediately! Just fantastic! I highly recommend TeamReach to anyone needing group organizing..Version: 6.1

Great App, used for various soccer teamsMy soccer club and I have been using this app for a few years now and it’s been very functional and easy to use. Works on various mobile platforms, is reliable and is great for organizing and coordinating events. Some features within allow for additional fields when planning events, the attendance feature is great too (you can keep track of who actually showed up). If you have several teams, TeamReach makes it easy to separate them so that they are individual groups but you can still communicate with all of them if needed. Overall great reliable and functional app, helps my daily life tremendously..Version: 5.7

Needs an additional categoryThe App is great but needs some improvement. 1). Our small 200 member group has a Committee that the members come to provide suggestions, register complaints etc. but they have to search to find committee members to do this. Yes we have the comments indicate these people are on the committee but if there was a level below Leader without admin rights would work. Say Committee, Board Member etc. 2) Make the first letter of a members first & last name Capitilized automatic. This will solve the problem were if a member puts his name is lower case it goes to the bottom of the member list. I hope this info helps improve the experience for all users of the app. Jay Dibley.Version: 5.9.4

Amazing team resource for coaches and parents!Hi, I love your app and truly appreciate you making this available for free for kids teams to use! I tell all of my kids coaches to use it and they all quickly love it. I have one request, it would be great if on the member side of a group the user could create a “nickname” for the group. Something like “Billy’s basketball team”. I have five kids that are playing the same sport and their teams are on the app, but when I look at the list…it’s hard to decipher which group goes with which kid. So it would be super helpful if I could create nicknames on my side to distinguish. Anyways thanks for such a great app!.Version: 5.9.3

Great app for team communicationI love the app. It’s easy to use and is a great tool for scheduling and keeping my team up to date. There is only one real issue I have and I hope the developers see this comment. I have uploaded images and some can’t be removed. Since I coach several teams, i have images and files from basketball displaying in my other group (volleyball) and can’t be removed. But it only seems to be in my “app”, not other’s. Also some images that I never uploaded from my phone have made it to the group, but are only visible to some users; while others can’t see those. Overall, I couldn’t do without this app..Version: 5.7

Need a feature to communicate a message to someone requesting approvalWe have the feature on to require approval before you can join the group but there is no way to communicate with the at person to determine if they have fill out the required membership forms and is actually in our community. It would be great if either a one time message could be added that alerts the person that they will not be approved until the paperwork is completed and dues paid. (Paperwork at amenity center). Or to be able to direct message the person “that we are waiting for the required paperwork (available at clubhouse) before they will be added..Version: 5.9.8

Great app, needs modificationsAs the leader of my group, it’s super easy to post practices and get a participant count. I can go in and change dates, cancel or modify single practices with no problem. The people in my group would love a few modifications from their end. When they are moved from the waitlist, the notification doesn’t give the date that has occurred. And the calendar view also doesn’t give a quick view to see what practices they signed up for as well. As a result of both of these, they have to go in to each practice individually to look. But otherwise this app has really streamlined my schedule and it’s much easier for my clients..Version: 6.1

LOVE THIS APP!!Great app to organize players. Cons-I would move the view option away from the YES/NO/MAYBE buttons. I have accidentally hit those when trying to view participants and end up moving my status to no or maybe. Not fun to have to go into edit because of it-especially if there is s waitlist. Direct messages/posts need an instruction (button) in the message to make sure people reply to the direct message and not the whole group. Posts need a reply button in the first screen to reply in that post and not create a new whole new post. It can get really cluttered when people reply creating a whole new post. If there is a reply to a post, a green update ribbon in the corner on the original post would be a great flag to indicate that someone replied. A paid button would also help to flag to the organizer who has paid. I have to write down all the participants and flag this separately now. It would be a huge benefit to have this feature. A separate place to pin articles, announcements- that are not pictures too..Version: 5.9.4

Cool app and useful! This app is a great alternative to using unruly group texts. Pretty simple to use and has event dates for practices, play times, etc. You can vote Yes or No if you are attending and can also see the list of confirmed attendees. One improvement I would suggest is to have the attending Yes/No buttons on the calendar event overview. Some people don’t even realize those are there, because they are on the details page which you have to click to get to. I think they would be used more if people knew they existed and would reduce sending messages wanting to know if anyone is coming out..Version: 5.9.1

Exactly What I Was Looking For!!If you/your family are involved in multiple activities or clubs (being a member or a coordinator), this is the app for you! Create different calendars for different activities and simply share the calendar through the app or through text. No one can change anything unless you invite someone to be a leader of the individual calendar with you. AND your invitees can choose to mark if they are going to attend the event or not. My only desire would be to be able to see a whole calendar view rather then just a list. Either way, this was exactly what I was looking for!!.Version: 4.1

USTA TENNISI am the captain of three USTA tennis teams. This app helps me communicate more efficiently with each team by keeping each team’s communications separated into their respective groups. Many of our players are on more than one of my teams and this app allows us to keep it straight on which team each message applies to. This is much more effective than having multiple texts buried in your phone and having to search every text in your message app. With TeamReach, just open the app then choose the team name and all the communications are all there in one place and in chronological order..Version: 4.6

Love the app. So much potential. A few recommendationsI really wish the direct messages acted more like text messages, email, messenger, etc. where it’s in a completely different section in the app & you can easily see previous messages with different people. That would be a huge upgrade. The other big update I’d love it for the message board to be easier to organize/sort through. Collapsible threads, clearer messages so that it’s clear where one message ends & another begins, searchable messages, the ability to pins messages to the top. If you’re prioritizing updates, these would elevate this app to another level..Version: 5.9.1

Was a 5 star until the influx of ADsI have used this app and have always shared with other coaches on how great this app is. In fact I use it for the 5 teams I coach. Issue now is the new part of the app of Ads. I have been asked by parents why I would post stuff about weight loss to my players. That was when I realized team reach is now using ads. I know there is an option to pay per year for no ads. My question is… if I pay for that, does it remove the ads on all my. Groups or does it just remove it for me. Tried to look it up, but couldn’t find the answer anywhere..Version: 6.6

Great App could be even Greater if….This is a solid, solid app with numerous useful features. We use it for our entire pickleball program. Things that would take it into the stratosphere? 1. The ability to post your own picture headers for events. 2. The ability to create a true Admin account without it having to be your own player account. Currently you need a second phone if you want your player account to be separate from your role as admin. 3. Waitlist notification system so players on a waitlist get a text when they get moved into an event because of a dropout Also players on the waitlist get a customizable message when they go on that list or get a popup that says eg. please don’t show up to play until you get a player spot. 4. A court booking system with payment processing facility ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ integrated into TeamReach 1000% would pay for this service as a club. 5. A picture walll for your TeamReachers 6. More interactive chat with better functionality..Version: 6.1

Easy to Use and Good for Group SchedulingI have been using the App for scheduling pickleball play at various locations. It is easy to use and has helpful features for setting attendance limits, viewing who is participating, creating repeating events and duplicating events. I would love to see the list of names always alphabetized. It’s very time consuming updating the attendance for those that are no shows or come but haven’t responded YES. I would also like the option to ONLY delete or change a future occurrence of a repeating event. Having attendance history is important to me. Any chance of a future enhancement for exporting this data for record keeping purposes?.Version: 5.7

Love this App!I’ve been a coach for several decades now and the TeamReach app is by far the best one yet for staying in contact with players, parents, and admin. As a new assistant athletic director for female sports, I’m encouraging our entire coaching staff to use this platform. It’s user friendly, easy to set up, and an extremely effective communication tool. Attaching schedules, team documents, and highlight photos is a breeze. Support feedback has been immediate. I sent an email question and got an actual phone call from a live support team member. The customer service is top-notch. Five big shiny stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for TeamReach..Version: 4.4

Awesome app, and FREE!I don't write reviews. However, this app has made my life as a soccer team manager so much easier. The attendance feature is just amazing, so much better than trying to use e-mail or google docs. Some of the parents who also have the free team snap actually like this program better. I did have an isolated issue and contacted teamreach. They were quick to respond with an email AND and phone call. One of the parents liked this app so much, she starting using this in an elementary classroom. As a free app, two thumbs up!.Version: 2.6

Pretty good appSo far so good. I have been managing my kids’ soccer and baseball teams for years and this works really well. I do wish there was web based access to use from a computer as trying to input all the calendar info and contact info was cumbersome. Also the ability to download the calendar as a whole vs having to download each date separately is cumbersome. Update: the develop responded that I can subscribe to the events calendar. Thank you. Except that so far, the calendar is over 7 pages long, so how are we supposed to readily find the subscribe button? It should be at the top of the page..Version: 4.8

Good App!I really do like the app a lot! It really does do the job it makes coaching sooooo much easier that trying to get everyone’s number and texting in a group chat so it is super nice I think! It would be nice if u could delete groups if your the coach of them, I know that parents can delete but me as a coach I can’t because I’m the manager or something like that. 😂 You guys really did a very good job making the app tho it really does help coaching a lotttttt! I do recommend it!.Version: 5.9.4

Helpful but one big missThis app is helpful for managing communications and schedules for our team. One big miss is the ability to expose parent contact info. We end up creating a separate document for that but it would be more efficient if you could see the email and phone number by clicking on a name. Seeing “on record” for the phone and “submitted” for the email is worthless. As with any personal info these days, you could have an opt out check box for those that don’t want that info exposed..Version: 5.9.8

Great App, great customer service!!I use this app for my kids teams and with some social circles, it is easy and a big help when communicating with large teams. I was one of the leaders in one of the groups, which had over 200 members, when the season was over I accidentally deleted the entire group, I found out when the main leader sent me a text asking if I deleted it, and that he had no way of contacting the team. I quickly emailed support and the immediately restored the group!.Version: 4.8

Awesome supportI am a school teacher and use this app for my students to contact me when they need help while at home. I had a situation with someone entering the app that should not have been there. The support team walked me through how to prevent this from happening and made the app even more user friendly for me. The support team sent their phone number and when I called they answered right away with politeness and sincerity in helping resolve problem I had. I highly recommend this app..Version: 4.2

Great app…butThe app is great. It’s user friendly and has allowed us to communicate more effectively with our members. However…the app doesn’t allow leaders to message people who are requesting to join unless they have already been approved. There are instances when leaders are unfamiliar with the people requesting approval. The leaders on the app need the ability to message those requesting to join to confirm their identity before approving them. We are hoping this type of enhancement is possible in the future! Thanks!.Version: 5.9.8

Lacking some featuresThe app is fine for sending communication out to the team and setting up a calendar but isn’t great for sharing pictures/videos and collaboration. One of the most frustrating things is app orders posts by most recently commented instead of most recently posted, resulting in people missing posts. You can’t tag people on the app, you can’t share videos, and the photos shared are terrible quality. I do like the “also known as” feature so parents can add their kids name, making it easier to associate people..Version: 5.9

Communication on steroidsTeamreach connected us to all the other Pickleball players, and now the smaller groups are merging into bigger and bigger communities. Our pickleball group has 785 members and more add on every day . It’s a little slow loading. Sometimes I have to turn off the phone to get it to stop spinning. It tends to crash if there’s no Internet nearby and I had a malware virus but it looks like Teamreach took care of it when I wrote to them.Version: 6.1

A very humane interfaceThe developers have put a lot of thought behind how this app is used by real people. The interface is consistent across each feature, making it more intuitive and easier to learn by non-technical users. I’m using this app to organize a group of volunteers that provide comfort dog and therapy dog visits to many different communities. I look forward to seeing features that provide additional ways to authorize, organize and filter calendar entries..Version: 3.9

Luv it!This app is very easy to use. Even my older friends are using it and not having difficulty. I use it for gatherings like volleyball and billiards and soon to use for pickleball. It is much easier than emails and me signing folks up folks for the varies activities I run. They can sign up themselves once I send a quick message and add the calendar date. I highly recommend! Try it and you will see how great this app is..Version: 6.1

Great appWe use this app for schedule practice time, communications, and notifications during competitions trips. I wish there is an EVENT feature (with event location for time zone) that parents/coaches/athletes can opt-in an event communications, post detail schedules (meal time, bus time, meet time, official practice time..), volunteer schedule, sign up for volunteer, also send out notifications only to event participants; and able to collapse the event communications after it’s done..Version: 5.9.4

Very Useful App OverallOverall this app is very useful and I use it to communicate with my Little League team as well as a Group Outing with a bunch of golfers. I love the ability to schedule events via the built in calendar and subscribe to said calendar from Apple or Google. I would personally like to have the ability as a manager or coach to see which members have read a post in the message board. Additionally, I would love the ability to post messages using my MacBook or PC..Version: 5.9.4

Makes life easierOur whole school thanks to our new AD has started using this for all athletic programs and since I am involved with all of them in one way or another being a cheer and dance coach it make everything so much easier for changes and keeping up to date on everything. I recently had a glitch happen and within a couple hours they helped me out and everything was back to normal - glad TeamReach is available!!.Version: 4.3

Coordinate & CommunicateTR has allowed Jackson North Park Pickleball to coordinate and communicate efficiently and effectively. We are nearing 100 members, and have several sub groups like Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, EDIS (Every Day is Saturday) and Indoor. I also use it to coordinate and communicate with our two travel Teams that play against other communities. We have had lots of positive comments about the APP. One suggestion would be to have a place for the Players/Members rating. Thank you!.Version: 6.1

Mostly greatThis app has really helped a large group of friends who play Pickleball get organized. The biggest problem some of us have is that sometimes we'll tap on something and the app will not respond. For example, I often tap on the event then the date of a specific session...... it SHOULD bring me to the next screen where I can RSVP but it often simply doesn't respond. Very frustrating. Happens to not just me. Is there any solution for this?.Version: 6.6

5-star appChange from my last review. It's now a 5-star app without question. Bugs were fixed. What makes this better than others is the ability for team members to rsvp to games. One thing I would suggest is to notify the administrator(s) when somebody changes their RSVP Another note...they are very good at responding to suggestions on how to improve the app. I've spread the word about this app to a couple of other managers in my softball league.Version: 3.6

Great AppI was looking for an app to organize our school sports. I tired a couple apps that I was not impressed with before finding TeamReach. We have over 12 sport teams and organizing the games and being able to communicate with parents and coaches is very important. The TeamReach app has made communicating games/practices as well as any updates very easy. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for a way to organize all your teams information..Version: 3.8

Gets the job done, almost perfectWould love to see direct messages similar to iMessage or Instagram messages. The app doesn’t put direct messages in a separate tab, all messages are blended into the main feed. So if you want to continue a previous conversation with someone, you have to scroll through to find it. If you start drafting a message to them, it’s starts a new blank message and your history doesn’t carry over..Version: 5.9.3

Great customer serviceI needed some specific information on number of Pickleball players playing in my county and they got back to me immediately with the info. I needed. We have so many groups using this app to set up pickleball games. Everyone seems to love it! So happy we found this app.! It has made finding games and communicating very easy. No more dozen of emails or text message chains. Everything can be done on team reach!👍👍👍👏👏👏.Version: 5.7

Great, but one problemThis app is super helpful and definitely a 5star app. My only complaint is that I can’t delete a group that is no longer needed. The FAQs state that you can delete a group in the settings for that group but there is only the option to close a group. No option to completely remove it. EDIT: I got a quick reply from the developer with instructions to delete a closed group. Thanks!.Version: 5.6

Good app but has some bugs....This is a good app to keep everyone on a team in the loop with schedules, and other events. This app would be great if videos could be added. It has a video feature but it crashes and can’t be used. And there is no video option to upload videos from your library, only photos. Other than that, the calendar works, and it has all the important options when adding events, including reminders..Version: 4.6

Great appMakes running a team easier, wish admins have access to a little more info but overall sleek!.Version: 6.6

Times gone after updateAfter your update yesterday, all the times are gone from the calendar and even when I re-enter them, they don’t save. Tried to recreate the event and it’s the same thing. No times. Also can’t put in a location without turning on my phones location..Version: 4.5

TeamReach tech supportWhat a deal!!! A free app that works great for my initiation Hockey team. I had a hard time with figuring out how to activate the attendance. They activated for my and show me how. Thanks TeamReach..Version: 2.9
