This is the BEST series of APP’s!I highly recommend this series of APPs of you are planning on visiting these parks! This was a marriage saver!! If you ever struggle on what and when to see sites, while planning multiple National Park visits during peak seasons, then this is the APP for you! It takes planning to the next level! I purchased The Yellowstone/Teton and after purchased Glacier as a separate APP. It will sync to your radio so that all can hear and includes a map. The narrator was amazing, he did not talk too much and the signal was NEVER lost even though our navigation and phone signals were weak. He provided interesting commentary on the National Parks, land marks and geography. You will not be disappointed and will not need to hire a tour guide!.HoffmannclVersion: 2.7.0

Indispensable for auto touringWow!! This is the second year we have used GypsyGuide, throughout the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park’s GoingToTheSun Highway. It worked flawlessly with smartphone connected by Bluetooth to car’s speaker system. Just like going on a guided tour in your private vehicle. It’s display on your phone gives your exact location and where the next audio point of interest is located. I highly recommend all versions that we used..AldahalVersion: 2.1.1

Liked but didn’t loveLiked: Tone of narrators voice Length of talks for each area of interest Automatic start at each point of interest Tracking the car along the route Disliked: Topics chosen (I’d prefer more talks about nature, the discussion was mostly about building the road, number of cars which came the first year, after the narrator said he wasn’t going into the details of the lake length, depth, etc. If you’re going to say you don’t like numbers, then don’t tell me about numbers: how much the workers were paid, # of years it took to build the road, how many cars visited the first year) Hokey tone the narrator took at times, self-deprecating has a time and place, but not on my audio tour. Just the facts ma’am. No info given on parking tips/tricks when that’s the worst part of the park, the Logan’s Pass parking lot was full so we missed it completely. Fact that he also narrates other tours. If this is the tone for all of the tours can I switch the voice like on my Garmin? 😂 English lady or Australian guy please. Tips/tricks on how to get a hotel room last-minute, where to go swimming, best food in the park, etc..GraceAndKayVersion: 2.7.0

Excellent guideJust used it today for a round trip from West Glacier. The commentary was easy to understand, informative and well said. The gps location use allows the app to know where exactly it is and the comments about views, turn offs, parking and hike access are precise and easy to use. Outstanding!If there is a Gypsy app for the place you are going to visit - get it! Don’t hesitate at all. This app guides you in and around an area unlike anything else. It knows where you are, which way you’re headed, and lets you know what’s coming next. Great value for money!We honestly enjoyed this narration far more than the tour we took of the going to the sun road and this was a fraction of the cost! Good mix of information shared, perfect timing based on gps locations as well. Would absolutely recommend downloading it before arriving at glacier due to poor cell service there. An absolute essential for self drivers thru the parkWe downloaded this guide and it actually felt like we had someone in our car with us. Really adds to the experience, even if you’ve been there beforeI found Gypsy Guides on my fifth or sixth trip to Glacier and even having been there several times it was a great addition. Loved having David along. So glad to see there are Gypsy Guides for upcoming trips and wish I had known about them on prior trips. Pro tip: Make sure the app is downloaded while you’re on good WiFi. Make sure it plays when your phone is in airplane mode before you get off the good internet service. Dave gives you lots of heads up for turns or sites you might want to see. Don’t take the trip without Gypsy GuideWe stumbled across the app and tried it out. Loved it. Gave lots of insight on the trip and it was convenient to use in the car. Great Info!Loaded and played with before trip, day of trip paired phone with vehicle, got to park...didn't work! No worries...turned off Blue Tooth and phone was plenty loud enough for two to listen to even with a LifeProof case on. Great info. Great app for a reasonable price (and I'm a cheapskate!) Been to the park several times before but it's been a while. There were several awesome places we would not have stopped if we had not been listening! The history lessons were wonderful! And there were a few we stopped that were pretty cool that the audio didn't tell us about. All in all a great trip and a great app. I will def be checking into more of your apps specifically the Yellowstone & Tetons app and The Big Island apps! Any chance you could get a Kauai app ready before early Dec.? Thanks! Things that would make me rate this app higher: 1. Add narration for the Many Glaciers Road 2. Maybe add that The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado is the hotel that actually inspired the book The Shining, that The Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite Ntl Park inspired the sets for the interior for the movie production and that Timberline Lodge is the lodge on "side of Mt. Hood" used for exterior shots during the filming. Sorry, nit picky I know, but I'm a history buff. 3. OMG: spectacular!We loved this app. It gave us so much more information than we would ever have known. We drive the road two round trips and listened all the time because we picked up things we missed. I felt sorry for the others passing us by because they didn't know to stop. Download Before Your Trip!This is the second Gypsy tour I downloaded. The first one was a Yellowstone tour which I paid for, but couldn’t download because of very poor internet service at the Yellowstone Canyon lodge by Xanterra. The files tend to be large, ie over 150 mb, so it is essential that you download these apps where you have fast internet service without file size restrictions. The app doesn’t work until you are near the park by GPS. Each section or story is activated by GPS. I downloaded the Glacier National/ Going to the sun road app at home. I couldn’t test it until I got to the park. I found the app a useful but limited guide as it only included going to the sun road, and didn’t include other sections, like Many Glacier Road. Great CompanyWe first used the Hawaii version of the app and found it added so much to driving around the islands. Then Yellowstone did not disappoint. The commentary and recommended stops are perfect for your road trip. Of course you could do without this app, but this just makes it so much better. I love the history, both human and evolutionary. If you want to hear about the road...There is so much natural beauty and interesting geology that makes up Glacier National Park, it is very sad that this audio tour spends so much time on the construction of the road and so little on explaining the geology, flora and fauna and history of the park.
