Must-have app for your visit!I am so glad I heard about this app before taking a family trip to Yosemite! This app is absolutely perfect - it works flawlessly (even without cell service), the narrator is well-spoken and pleasant to listen to, and it is full of great facts and recommendations. We just started the tour, put the phone down, and listened to all the great info as we navigated the park. You don’t need to ever touch your phone. All of the information is automatically triggered by your GPS location. It warns you of upcoming points of interest, where to turn off, and gives hints about best parking options. This frees you up to just enjoy the views! It’s really like having a tour guide with you in your car. Absolutely worth the money! Really greatThis app was surprisingly good. I just spent two days in Yosemite, and this app worked beautifully. This is an audio guide. You start the app while you’re driving and it gives you information as you drive, based on knowing your location and which direction you’re traveling. The script is quite rich, and the person who recorded the audio was quite skilled at it. It was like having a tour guide riding in the car with us. In addition to information about stops and scenery, it also give navigation information that is very well timed to help you get into the right lane at the right time for wherever you want to go. It was absolutely worth the several dollars I paid for it. Keep in mind, though, that this is just an audio guide, and while it was great, I was initially surprised that it didn’t have any text-based info in it. That is, it doesn’t have anything in it that you can read in advance of your trip, to research what sites to see or to plan your itinerary. Just get a different app for that and plan on launching this one as you approach the entrance to Yosemite National Park, and keep it running whenever you’re in the car..Jim 91206Version: 2.1.6

Amazing technology!Whoa! This app absolutely made the trip to Yosemite perfect for us! We named him Papa and he guided us through every part of this national treasure. Plenty of advance notice when there was a decision on a turn to take or a picture opportunity...without him we would have been lost both geographically and educationally! Although they give you a map when you enter, just save that for when you get back home! Papa gave us so much history and information on each feature that we may not have taken the time to research...real time and real eyes on the park feature as he described it. Use this app ...period! The PERFECT App!We have been to Yosemite a number of times but this guide completely changed our experience. It helps point you towards things you must see and others that you may not have realized existed. It gives you real time approach (through GPS) to parking so that you don't miss a parking lot and gives you direct pointers on where to spot iconic landmarks. Great for pictures! It also gives you amazing hiking tips including what to expect for experience levels. In between guided points, he provides fillers with Yosemite history tidbits. Don’t go on a trip without it!!While planning our trip to Yosemite National Park, I read about this app somewhere and thought ok, I’d risk the few bucks!! I am sooooo glad I did! We didn’t miss a thing while riding through Yosemite, and decided to ride to Hetch Hetchy as well! It’s like having your own personal tour guide! I happened to have bought a portable battery charger for this trip, so I never had a problem with a dying battery. If you’re planning on spending money to go on vacation, then spend the extra on this app and the battery charger. You won’t regret it! AMAZING!!This app brought me to the most breathtaking scenic locations in Yosemite that were not described, or even mentioned, in my guide book! (Two are Taft Point/The Fissures and Washburn Point, both on the road to Glacier Point.) The narration is educational, and delivered in a friendly, congenial manner. Gypsy Made The Trip So Much Better!My wife and I learned about the app on the Yosemite Facebook page and also saw it in a Yosemite magazine. We decided to try it and were so glad that we did! Great GPS Guided Tour of YosemiteI've been to Yosemite several times, but my husband of 72 years had last been here with his family when he was a child. I found this app to give him an audible experience along with our drive through. It's wonderful! Many helpful directives some of the iconic places in the park and entertaining historic tidbits between stops. Fabulous app!We have purchased this for seven different parks and it is awesome! Bryce & Zion, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons, Rocky Mtn, and Yosemite National Parks. The narrator is fabulous! He alerts you along the way with must-do stops and prioritizes others. In between, he gives short anecdotes about the geology or history of the area. His voice is energetic without being childish and the stories he tells are interesting. Ended up having a friend in the carResearching, I ran across the Gypsy Guide for Yosemite National Park. For $5+ what’s to loose. We were so pleased at the points he pointed out that we would have missed. Also he helps navigate at turns and major routes. Love this app!Yosemite is the 2nd tour I've taken using Gypsy and it's amazing. I also used it for Yellowstone. Not only are you assured of being given every option you need, but the tours are also peppered with humorous antidotes and additional background and history. The $4.95 cost replaces a $200 per person ticket on a tour bus, and allowed us to do everything casually at our own pace. Both places I used this app, there was no cell service, but since the app is GPS activated, it was not the least bit of an issue.
