A lot of spare time playing this gameGreat game and many of the updates have been really fun and increased the challenge of playing! Just a few things I’d love to see: 1. Can you please move the boosters from the lower part of the screen? As a right-handed person, I keep pushing them on accident as I’m trying to move my character around the screen. My husband (a lefty) had the same problem when they were on the left part of the screen. Very, very frustrating! Move them some where in the upper half of the screen, please! (I’m begging you!🙏🏻) 2. Maybe there could be a special level available once in a while to help gamers collect the iron and red gems needed to upgrade the stronghold? 3. I love trying to achieve the various characters! If you’re ever looking for new characters ideas, might I suggest you turn to mythology and the plethora of gods there. You could use some thing from each of their personalities as their special gift (e.g. lighting for Zeus, a war hammer for Thor, sunburst for Apollo, etc.).NettieRomVersion: 2.14.0

Was a 5 star gameThe version before the update was actually more fun when it came to the missions of collecting gems, destroying spikes or killing spiders and bats. When you finished a mission, you would collect your coins and automatically move to the next mission. Now since the update, any missions you complete need to be saved at the checkpoint before you can get another mission. And if you get killed before you can find a checkpoint, you lose all the progress you just completed and have to redo the entire mission. Also the cost of continuing a play after you have been killed has increased to the point where it takes your collected coins instead of the tokens and now I don’t like continuing the play due to trying to save my coins. The update has been good for everything else. I’m teetering on the thought of uninstalling because it gets so frustrating when you play multiple games and finally completing the mission but just to get killed and not collecting the reward before finding a check point. This game has lost a lot of its fun since last update. If the developers can change that, I will come back and rate 5 stars..CuscoloverVersion: 2.6.0

Great game. Big I have kinda breaks it thoI love this game honestly. It’s great and I remember playing it WAAAAYY before all these updates that made you level up and use stars to progress instead of just coins. I rate 5 stars just because I love how they don’t ad spam players and they don’t force ads very often. Although, I am currently having an issue that completely makes it impossible to play the game. I recently finished building the portal as part of the story of the game. But the game froze and would not let me continue the cutscene directly after the portal’s completion. And upon restarting the game and even my phone, I open the game and it has me log in and I am immediately stuck on thesame screen. Could use some improvementsThis was one of the first games I ever downloaded on my phone and I still have it a year later. It is a great game and good to play when you are bored, but there is one problem. The recent updates have been excellent however there is something I don’t like: lives. You only have 3 LIVES to start out with! And I thought candy crush was bad! Has it ever occurred to you that some people aren’t very good at the game? 3 lives is way to little and I think that the whole concept of them is just to make money. Right now I probably would be complaining about the ads too if I hadn’t found a loophole. (Just put your device on airplane mode. Lol.) This game used to be a whole lot better but otherwise I think that the updates have been great. Please just increase the amount of lives. Edit: I also think the fact that the village has electricity and telephones is a little ridiculous. I thought this game took place in the Middle Ages or something. Missing a couple of thingsThis game has a very solid base, meaning the main gameplay aspects are fun when you first get the game. However, there’s very little to do outside of the occasional event, which all feel more like luck-based challenges over skill (Canon Defense, Science Experiments). An extra daily challenge or a high risk-reward mode would be much better. In terms of actual gameplay, the difficulty ramps up as you progress like many similar games, but the increase in pickaxe uses doesn’t seem like enough of a reward for progressing in the game, and it’s the only upgrade that truly changes how your game could end up. Adding a few extra skills for characters could be useful, and since their are already so many different characters to unlock (which take forever unless you got money to fork over), you might as well make them more unique. Stupid glitchThis could be a great game except for some very irritating features. Such as, every once in a while I hit a spot on the screen, I’m not even sure where it is, I will then be averted to the App Store for an app i don’t want and didn’t request to see. No matter how many times I hit done to get back to the game I cannot unless i close out the app losing an entire turn. New complaints. There is a bar on the very left hand side of the screen with three items that you can order to help you with the game. These obscure the very last set of blocks going down that side of the screen. You cannot see what is behind them and very often you end up getting killed because of something you can’t even see that there. It’s a stupid feature and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. This game is good but not THAT goodSo I love playing this game but I find myself wasting away 2 lives within a few seconds, every time I come back and try to get into the game. By the time I know how to play again, I only have 1 life left. Meh the lives are too less and cost waay too much. 10 gold for one life? Nah. I don’t have an exorbitant amount of money to refill 3 lives every time because I DIE A LOT and I would be paying a lot while playing. Some weird stuff...I used to play Dig Out a LOT back then. But there were a few problems that made it hard to keep playing. 1. I used to die SO, MANY, TIMES! So many rocks falling on to me. Maybe reduce the amount of rocks and monsters and other things for beginners, and it might be easier. 2. I always have to go and take my riches and send them to that green guy (I forgot his name) and when I have to take them to him and send the gems to the stronghold (IDK), that’s when I lose by losing pickaxe durability or by rocks and monsters. I then lose ALL OF MY GEMS! Because you have to go back to the stronghold, maybe make it salvage some of the stuff you took. Like 1/6 of the stuff that you got while digging. Besides that, really good. But there’s a bug that you need to fix. When I tried to play Dig Out on my IPad mini Apple or whatever, it just crashes. Please fix that bug! Fun game but...Extremely fun game. This is one of those games I play just to play, don’t really care about the story. But completing the story can also help you. However the overall design has it flaws. With so much on screen sometimes you can’t see dangers until it’s too late. There is no arrows or joystick on screen to move, it’s all in your thumbs, so sometimes when you want to go right, the character will move up or down which can get you killed. I also wish that the bigger the treasure chest, the more money you get. Regular chests typically only give you 100 gold and it only goes up 50 each chest. When continuing costs more than you would get from watching 5 ads, sometimes it’s not worth it. You’d have to do quite a lot to keep you gold stocked.Vsmith822Version: 2.16.0

I love the game, just ONE problemSo first of all I have to say, your game is really fun. I play it whenever I’m bored and need a quick game break. But there is one problem I have with your game. The lag. The lag is just, SO bad for me. I get ads at the bottom of my screen, which I can handle, but the problem is that whenever a new one pops up the lag gets horrible! And I love to do cool stuff like kill enemies, but if I make a mistake and have to escape the lag always ends up hitting me so I get caught! Great gameMy wife and I love this game! I wish that once you completed a challenge while you playing it could give you a new one and not have to wait until you die! That way you can get more keys. I love the chest but the chest to key ratio is ridiculous I think if you were able to complete more challenges it would be nice! Fun Game...... But.......The game is a great one. Addictive really, and really good to pass the time when you’ve got nothing to do. The only issue I have is that on the last update, when the side bar was added to the screen with the newest digging tools available, it’s placed in a difficult position. I tend to use both thumbs to guide my character down the way, my thumb always hits the side bar and activates a tool I didn’t want to use, or sometimes gets me killed as the screen changes over when I didn’t mean to touch the side bar. Awesome Game but...I love this game, it’s just a great game overall, but one things bugging me. The fact that when you lose all your pickaxe durability your character after 2 seconds just stops moving, and you lose. I’ve had this happen multiple times where I use up all my durability and there’s a refill right in front of me, so close to getting it, and then I just stop moving and either have to use up a life or pay tons of gold to continue. Fun & addictingI enjoy this game. It’s challenging but not to difficult where you lose interest. My only complaint is I wish your pickax would be somewhat restored/repaired when you reach a check point. You have to spend coins to repair it each time and the further down you go, it just burns through your coins until you run out and you have no other choice but to quit or die. I try to find all the power ups I can to restore it and I even use a character that restores his pickax when killing enemies, but you’re still being stopped out because you can’t restore your pickax at some point.Cms24748Version: 2.25.1

Great game, but...The game is amazing, except you need to wait till a lot later on in the game to actually get keys and they are hard to get when you get there. Newest update has issuesI really like the game but the latest update has introduced some inconsistencies. First, as was mentioned in another review, I’ve noticed that dropping stuff on skeletons only kills them about half the time. Also skeletons always moves into the space they were moving to (whether they die or not). As a result I’ve been killed several time in the fraction of a second that it takes for their death to take effect. My second issue is that ads have started displaying again. I’ve made purchases and in the previous versions I got no ads. Even on the ‘free chest’ after you die. But I am once again getting ads. I tried using the restore purchases, hoping that it was just a flag that got wiped by the update, but they are still displaying. I find that very disappointing. I’m hope these problems are corrected soon so I can once again raise my rating to a 5 star as this is a great game to play when you only have a short time and don’t want something too complicated..Mags1988Version: 2.10.1

Ad placementHello. I love playing this game. Its a great way to pass the time. With the latest update the new placement for some things are great! It’s more neat and organized. The ad placement however just gets in the way. It was nice off to the side before, despite being accidentally clicked occasionally, but the new placement at the top is very inconvenient. Ive died quite a few times already from rocks falling on me because I can’t see them coming anymore due to the ad. Fun but one major glitchThis game is pretty fun and addicting. The only problem I have though is kind of a big one...just about every other time I start a new round an ad pops up, which is fine on its own...a little annoying but I can deal with it. Lost Track of Time!I’ll admit, I’m in my early 40’s. It has been a LOOOOONG time since I’ve played a game for hours in one sitting. This game got me to do that! Wonderful game... I’m hoping there is more terrain under the tomb! And in regards to those reviews concerning ads; after a small purchase (totally worth it) the only ads you watch are those you inflict upon yourself. Ok game but glitches sometimesIt's cool game really and I like that the village is more interesting than before but there's two things that bug me first: there's a bug with the "Ad chests" more accurately the ad its self the ad doesn't play and it's just freezes on me and when its unfrozen the chests don't open and the sound and music is gone and I can't rewatches it because the app says it can't play it so please fix this. Why not 5 stars?This is a very fulfilling, challenging, & addicting game. I’ve been playing every day for a long time. It helps me to relax at night & I find myself looking forward to it! Lag is unbearableI’ve tried playing in airplane mode, and keeping all other apps off while playing, but the game lags while you’re playing and it makes movement undoable. I’ve had to restart multiple levels and it’s so frustrating because you do the same things you know are right, but the game lags and your guy will stop moving completely, and then you fail. Or he’ll be just a bit slower, making it impossible to do the levels. I have to delete, even though I’m only three layers in. I’m disappointed. It deserves 5 stars, if you can overlook the sketchy fact that the devs apparently added some cosmetic upgrades, then repackaged the whole thing as something entirely new; which is to say, Restore Purchases doesn’t work. The game is fundamentally the same as it was when it was released a year or two ago (which, again, was great). The “update” (although I hesitate to call it that, since a mere update would retain my many in-app purchases) adds only a “home base” that can be “rebuilt” via a perfectly functional new quest system. I got cheated in this new update!A new update came out today in the game removing the keys to open the chests, y’all gave us credit for the keys that we had and not the chests. I had over 40 normal chests and at least 2 Epic chests that I’ve been trying to open, since removing the keys I just lost out on A LOT of iron, character tokens, and lots of other things. I am very upset that you guys cheated us out of the credit of those chests. It took lots of hours of game play to achieve those chests and just like that you removed them from my inventory. If I don’t get credit for those chests, I will delete this game. I have shared this game with a number of friends including my Fiancé and they are all upset with this update as well. If this matter is not fixed or dealt with, we will all stop playing this game. It frustrates me because this was my favorite game but every time you do a new update I get cheated in a different way all the time. SoMerging needs to be done about this. You know what, I’m actually furious.I spent a metric BUTTLOAD of time playing this game back when it was in Ye Olden Days—you only had 3 lives, you regained one every 30 minutes, and your only objective was to find gems. You didn’t have to go to a goblin to cash in on your gems; if you died, they were still yours. Everything was perfect like that—I enjoyed the simplicity, so I worked my way up to level 176. I completed the tasks for rebuilding the village to the max and just kept the extra stars I had in hopes that one day there’d be more tasks to spend them on. My pickaxe had nearly THREE HUNDRED hits. I even unlocked ALL of the little characters. I was having a blast—and then I took a break to spend time with my family after my brother went off to college and we had a series of hiccups in the family. Things died down and so, I finally came back...only to find all of my self-described accomplishments blown to BITS. Stars lost! Pickaxe at 30 hits! No characters! I have to talk to a goblin every two minutes or I lose everything! And all I got in compensation was a bunch of gold coins that I don’t even know the purpose of. I understand the revamp and I’m happy YOU like it, but I’m just here to tell you that at LEAST one person absolutely hates it. Load screen crashes!!Side note: I couldn’t even leave this review on your “contact” page to even try and be discreet about the issue. This game WAS good back in the old days when you actually had “caves” instead of just mindlessly wandering down further and further until you opt to go “home” and lose a life even after defeating a king! Fun game if not for the bugs and adsThe game is fun, easy to learn and challenging enough to keep your attention for a while. The biggest problem isn't the colossal number of ads, it's that the game freezes about 1/2 the time after an ad runs. When the game freezes, you lose everything you gained on the last game and the time spent as well. Fix the ad-freeze bug and it'd be 5 stars for sure! UPDATE: I didn’t know it was possible to add more ads than they had before, but they did! It’s more frustrating now because it forces you to watch an ad before playing a level now, and the ad crashing is no better. Disappointing updateI have been playing this game for a few years now, and I have loved it from the beginning, one of the few games I considered a staple. When the game updated and included lives I accepted it because I loved the fact that I could now achieve multiple key goals in one game. I have always tried to see the positives in every update. Tedious and buggyI’ve only been playing this game for a short while, (I believe I got it a week or so before the latest update) but the game somehow managed to go from a fun time-waster to a buggy, unpolished, pay-to-win mess in that short a timeframe. Dig OutThe game is fun and enjoyable as a distraction but there is really no objective. You upgrade hammers or blades but it does not elaborate as to what you can do now before you spent the money. The game freezes often and some rocks etc that you remove are still ghosted so you are stuck. Adds cause game lag.This game is fun and interesting, unfortunately they are so busy pushing adds onscreen on the sidebar, that it frequently causes the game to lag resulting in you messing up or losing. Used to be 5 stars.I had a really good pickaxe and quite a bit of chests I was trying to open. Then my progress was all gone and my pickaxe. I’m quite disappointed how I have to go to a goblin just to cash out my gems. I remember not needing iron or anything to upgrade your pickaxe. Wonderful game, but ....This is a wonderful game. Well designed, attractive, tracks finger movement extremely well, interesting (iconic!) characters mixed into a clever, ongoing story. Plus it requires a great mix of strategy, fortune and speed to win a round — at least it was great until the unfortunate addition of a werewolf character at one of the higher levels. The werewolf reduces Dig Out to a mindless arcade game where speed is the only strategy. 04/09/2020 *minor fixes* update is an act of pure greedThis game is already extremely predatory with the amount and cost of in-apps purchases/ the limited amount of lives / the fact that you have to make a purchase to stop ads from randomly popping up / the extremely low amount of coins you get from watching an ad and being limited to watch 10 a days / The fact that you can’t untoggle enhance pickaxe power up / The daily missions rewards and hero cages found while digging can give you duplicate shard of heroes you already own which result in gaining nothing. As of September 4th 2020 they release a minor fix update that basically moved your power up icons from bottom right to bottom left which translate to people being left handed randomly hitting those icons, wasting their effect. They’re only trying to encourage people to buy more of them since they didn’t even implement ANY OPTION to revert the change back or to switch the icons to left/right at will. Trying to squeeze the extra $ wherever they can with each update.
