Fantastic coverageThis is by far the greatest streaming coverage of all sorts of sports but my favorite is the auto racing. I’m almost 75 and female and can’t go to the tracks as much tho I went to Lincoln Speedway last Saturday. I watch usually 2 a night if it’s a division I’m interested in. I’m also learning of new tracks and different drivers. I have 2 TVs and 2 tablets and an iPhone. Your service just can’t be beat. I’m ready for the AllStars right now. Only mediocreWhen using iPad app to watch AHL Hockey games you can’t select between the “home”or “away” livestream. That stinks. However, when watching AHL games on the Apple TV app, you are able to select the “home” or “away” feed. Why isn’t this function available on the iPad app? Also when viewing on any device, I haven’t made it through a single game (about 7 played so far) that the livestream feed doesn’t experience a “technical issue” at least once if not twice during the game. Replays are delayedGood streaming quality overall but the replays are only available after the live games and some games have like 90 minute post games. I just want to be able to watch the full game replay directly after the game ends. Hit and miss game coverage and you pay for advertsSome games are great: quality coverage and commentary. Others have no sound or are the raw cut for channels to cut as needed. Unreliable TrashThe only positive thing I can say about this service is that they somehow manage to get the rights to some good games. The stream is unreliable and will stop for up to 10 minutes at a time. The strikes, balls, outs, and even inning are frequently incorrect. There is no pitch count or velocity on the screen, and they can’t even update their graphics to show the batters’ stats when they put their name graphic on the screen. Do not waste your money. Hopefully, enough people refusing this service will push their games to anything else. Update: They are now covering a basketball game, and it makes me wish they had at least the standard mentioned previously about baseball. The filming would be better quality if they used an iPhone or Samsung phone. It has frequently frozen, and they should have taken a higher seat to give a better view when it does work. It is very reminiscent of watching 90s home videos. They don’t even bother to display the score during play, and when they have flashed the score, both scores and the time were wrong. I am happy spending $50 on food and drinks at a sports bar to prevent these people from getting the $30 they want for the stream (which is another point of absurdity). ADS on PAID app!?! So many ads during gameplay :(I subscribed to FloSports so I could watch my child’s college games but instead I’m watching 1-3 ads every 3 minutes. Unbelievable! I’ve missed gameplay because of ADS on a PAID app? The scoreboard on the app stinks, too. So far the score has been posted incorrectly multiple times throughout the game, no indication of balls and strikes and the inning count lags behind what is actually happening on the field. Because there is only one camera behind home plate it is impossible to see the actual scoreboard on the field or the foul posts on the sides. All in all a disappointment. FloSports should be ashamed but they have a captive audience so why should they care, right? They could provide better scorekeeping, keep ads to the beginning or end of the broadcast (or totally do away with them on their paid app) so as not to interfere with gameplay. But they don’t. I was excited to be able to watch the games when I couldn’t make it to the field but now I’m just frustrated and wishing I hadn’t given them a single dime. I don’t believe they care about sports. App acts like it needs an update, but never doesLet me preface this by saying, I’ve written 1 review in the almost 15 years I’ve used the App Store. It also needs to be said that I love FloSports as a company, even more so with the way they support Dirt Track racing. This is a review on the app however , not of Flo in general. I got so tired of the buffering, and resetting the app as well as my phone, that I turned off my High-Limit stream to finally make this review. I thought DirtVision was bad, but every single race I try to stream has technical difficulties. Buffers for way more time than the video plays live, which results in huge portions of missed content. It doesn’t matter if I’m using WiFi or my unlimited high-speed data (At&T). They do a good job with replays, but I paid $160+ to watch the event live; not waiting for it to load even the event has ended. If they could fix the never-ending buffering, it would instantly be a 3.5-4.5 star review. Spoilers for replaysThis is generally fine in terms of streaming, but it would be nice to be able to split the screen on an iPad so you can multitask while streaming. The big problem with this app is the spoilers in the replay names. It’s very difficult to find the reply you want without seeing a headline that spoils the results of the replay you are looking for. Specifically for bike racing. Current example is the 2024 Vuelta coverage. If you click on vuelta it brings you right into a spoiler and auto plays the highlight. If you search through thumbnails for the full replay you will probably see a different thumbnail that spoils the replay. If you wait long enough you can possibly avoid a spoiler when the full replay comes up as a large thumbnail with no spoiler in it. Please correct this. AwfulIn my opinion, from my personal experience, this is an absolute waste of money with no legitimate customer support available. I purchased a full season to watch the AHL Bpt Islanders and gladly paid $159 in September for the convenience to watch home and away games when I am not able to attend as a season ticket holder. Ok… but glitchy. Pay service with commercialsThe USHL dropped hockey tv in favor of FloSports. This is an improvement as tge streams do appear to be more stable however there appear to be problems with dropped frames that make the service frustrating to use. As you watch a game you see and hear glitches lasting a fraction of a second to several seconds. In a chat dialogue with the service they blamed tge arena internet service for this. When I pressed them for details so I could check for accuracy tge chat session was disconnected. Needless to say I do not believe the explanation. Instead I believe FloSports has a capacity problem that could be solved with increased buffering. To their credit they appear to be trying to keep tge stream close to live, rather than producing the lags and outages of their predecessors. So I think it winds up being with the discounted price offered at tge front of the season. It is, however not worth the full price. Perhaps the service will improve. If this happens I will revise my review accordingly. One final point: you have no reason to interrupt the game with your own commercials. Really badI signed up for FloSports specifically to watch bike racing. Went for the yearly option due to the absolutely ridiculous monthly subscription fee. Anyway within hours I realized it’s not going to for us the way I wanted it to. Shut it down and requested a refund to which they told me that because we viewed a couple of hours of pro coverage I didn’t qualify for my money back. Several emails back and forth with them and after having cancelled the renewal in the app, I dispute the transaction with my cc company. Ultimately the cc company sided with them based on terms of service so now I am resigned to just use the app for the year and not renew only to find that they have inactivated my account with no refund or alerts to me. Terrible coverage for the priceFor $30 advertised as “PRO” access, basic features should be available. For example, we purchase so that we can watch softball. So the score and inning should be updated and accurate. This is almost NEVER the case. We have to keep the stats ourselves. During almost every broadcast there are technical issues and we lose some of the broadcast. When this happens, we cannot rewind back a few minutes to view what we missed. We just miss it. 3 years ago we couldn’t go to florida to watch our daughter play in person and FloSoftball was the only way to watch. We experienced all the issues I described and it was so frustrating. Our daughter graduated last year. So this year we purchased it and are watching and I am really disgusted to say that the only thing that’s changed is my daughter isn’t on the field. Marching Arts - Great if live; replays have no audioIf you are planning to watch a live, streaming performance, this app gives good flexibility to do so with high cam or multi-view perspectives and screen-sharing opportunities. However, if you want to watch a replay, be prepared for visual with no audio due to copyright. In this particular entertainment space you cannot make that kind of trade-off; the two go hand-in-hand. This is not like watching another sport that can be viewed without audio. The copyright issue surrounding marching arts audio needs to be made clear to people before they subscribe to your service. Horrible organization and streamingI was forced into getting a subscription to this app when Motocross moved mid season from MAVTV to Flo Racing. This may be the only app in history that is harder to find specific content on than RedBull TV. Holy crap. If you type motocross in the search box nothing comes up. You have to go to racing, events, replays and then scroll backwards through a few weeks worth of hillbilly racing to get to the last round of motocross. Then when you play it on a 1GB Wi-Fi connection that streams all day every day on every other service known to man…..it freezes. The only way to get it to work again it to force quit and start again. For now FloSports is a convoluted mess !!!I mainly bought this app to watch the big bicycle races that aren’t on Peacock or other platforms, in this particular case the “Tour de Suisse” which I should be able to watch live each day as well as full replays and/or highlights of previous stages. But if I want to watch a full reply of previous stages, that option is nowhere to be found. Spoilers up frontWhen WB/Discovery axed GCN+ there was little choice but to sign up for Flo Sports for cycling events. It’s three times the cost and you get commercials. Yay! Due to the time difference and out of convenience I usually watch the replays when they become available. Sadly, FloSports loves to spoil your party by announcing the winner before you get a chance to find the replay. The past three times now I’ve known the outcome before starting the replay. Also, when an event is in progress there should be an option to start from the beginning rather than trying to move the glitchy slider back to the beginning while the race is playing out. Disrespect for Athletes and CustomersIf you have the misfortune of “needing” to follow a team whose games are being shown on this trash service, be prepared for big disappointments: 1. The audio will probably be bad, often unlistenable. For example, you may get to hear another game’s commentary over top of that for the game you’re trying to watch, and all of that may only come out of your back surround speakers if you’re on an Apple TV connected to a real sound system. 2. The commentators will mispronounce every athlete name they can, demonstrating a consistent lack of preparation. 3. If watching softball, you may only do so from the outfield. 4. The score bug will never, ever be accurate. If by chance it is, that’s just the “broken clock” effect. 5. Even though you’re paying a ridiculously high and unwarranted subscription fee, you will be forced to watch long pre-roll ads before your content will play. And you’ll get to do that every time you switch between games. This service seems to go out of its way to disrespect the games its shows, the athletes playing them, and its paying customers. Glitchy and terrible with adsGiven how expensive this plan is, I can’t believe they have ads. Not only that, when the ads try to load every so many minutes, they often disrupt the stream afterwards causing issues with the event you are watching having to reload. A recent update broke streaming to my LG Smart TV so I can only watch on my little phone screen. I attempted tech support but it doesn’t seem to work either. Some of the events I want to watch are “not available in my region”. They should not advertise having those events to people that can’t watch them, false advertising of what the streaming service contains. Race spoilersThe app shows the winner’s interview prior to finding the selection for a race replay. Dirt track racing often runs late and we like to watch the replay the next day but it is usually spoiled because we see the winner before we can watch the race. Great coverage, the worse ad timingIt’s a great platform to watch sports and has great replays but the ads ruin everything. The ads pop up during live moments and replays and while the ball is in play, and the ad screen is twice the size of the sport your watching. In one case, it looked it was being filmed from an old phone from the sidelines.
