Amazing relief from tinnitusHaving suffered from tinnitus for 20 months, I was desperately looking for a way to hear nothing. I downloaded a few apps, and this one was the absolute winner. I found out that I could stop the ringing if I play a high frequency tone (somewhere between 10 and 11 kHz) and hold it close to my ear. I need to move my phone around a bit to find the right position where I don’t hear the tone from the app or the ringing in my ear. It’s amazing; experts say it is impossible to use anti-noise, because tinnitus isn’t a real sound, but this absolutely works for me. The ringing comes back after a minute or so, but at least there is the option to not hear it every now and then. Answer to prayer!!!Thank you so much for this app!!! I noticed that the pulsating, humming, low frequency noise that I’ve been hearing has become louder. I can’t believe it28 years of shooting and explosives in the military has given me the worst tinnitus This is the app. I mixed a sound that is a counter sound to my beeping, thrumming, screaming buzzing in my right ear I put the speaker by my left ear I can hear the sound. Perfect background noiseAs another reviewer mentioned, finally an app that provides pure white noise. No soundscapes of recorded sound like rain falling or crickets chirping. Just frequencies. So, if you want something that sounds like the old analog tv stations after they’d gone off the air, or static between radio stations, this is it. GoodHonestly, none of the sounds sound good. No matter how much I mess with it, they just aren’t pleasant. They do the job in a pinch, however. What I think would help my problem is to add a equalizer option. That way I can bring up the tones I like and diminish the tones I don’t like. It has a strict cut off, which is better than nothing but something which flows more like a modern eq does, would be very welcome. Straightforward noise generatorI chose the app knowing that I like a mix of brown/pink noise and don’t care about nature sounds or meditation or mood tracking, etc. So far, it’s just what I was looking for, except it doesn’t have an entry in settings. This is greatI suffer from tinnitus that occasionally gets worse for some reason. Today was one of those days so I decided to check if the app store perhaps had an app that would alleviate the symptoms. This app was free so I thought I will try it first before moving to any of the paid apps. It turned out that the sound frequencies that I got this app to make reduced the tinnitus noise rather quickly. Great Noise Gen, no background audio?I really love the control over the noise generation in this app. It's hard to find one like this that doesn't have a bunch of other sleep noise in it. However, it seems to be a pretty big oversight to not have the app continue to generate audio in the background. The snore fighterMy wife snores and this app does an excellent job of neutralizing it. I also play it through speakers to keep my dogs calm when there are workers in the house. Good appI like that you can mix the colour noises. I wish they made it where you can have pink, brown and white noises playing at the same time. Or as many colour noises you want. It is still very good though. A lot of sleep apps you have to play for to get most of the sounds. This app is 100% free there is some ads that is not a bad thing it a little annoying especially on a sleep app but it not that bad and I understand you need to make money somehow and is better than other sleep apps that want you to get a subscriptions and most sleep apps want you to do that. There is sliders. You can make mix and match the colour noises only if there beside each other. You could also change the frequency or whatever it’s called. New update is terribleI've been using this app for years every night as I need to block other sounds to sleep. This new update has been terrible. The sound bar no longer has the sound volume percent. I used to set it the same but don't know the percentage to set at and have to guess what works so it's different every night. Also it now randomly shuts off in the middle of the night waking me up and when I go to turn it back on it won't. I have to completely do a phone reboot to get the app to work again. Shuts Off RandomlyWe use this app for white noise to help my 8 month old sleep. It’s a great app and I love being able to customize the sound (we do a combination of white and pink). We use it on a tablet and then have the sound playing through a Bluetooth speaker in his room. The one downside I’ve noticed (and it’s a big deal) is that sometimes the app randomly shuts off. UnreliableI wanted to like this, but its proven to be more of a hinderance to my sleep than help. I use it to drown out the noise if my household, which goes to sleep a few hours after I do. Unfortunately, this app has two fatal problems. The fist is that the app will stop playing sound arbitrarily, even if my timer hasn’t run yet. As a result, i often wake up from household noise. The second issue is that sometimes a pattern if noise will develop within the white noise and then repeat itself like clockwork, according to some rhythm. This is distracting and negates the value and purpose of white noise. It is a shame, because the app has a great interface and the adjustments are appreciated.
