Ocean Water Temperature Customer Service

Great little app. It’s easy to read with good accurate information. It would be nice if they also showed temperature is below the surface. This would help divers prepare for dives.

I think the layer water sea surface temp is very accurate and matches with the off shore buoys, and I do ocean swimming surfing, and long distance paddle boarding from Cayucos to Cambria and notice warm spots as paddling along, the coast I can tell if we are going to get rain after paddling long distance by the warm ocean spots, and when I look at the SST they are showing an EL Nino eventually coming this year but hard to say all I know is the water should be down to low fifties to high forties but it’s for this time of year.

I bought this to check the surface water temperature at my home beach. No matter what I do I can’t get the app to give me the temperature for my beach. I can get near-by beaches, but not mine. The description should make it clear that this only offers some areas, not all.

Simple to use app, find the buoy near you get your data. You can get it for the waves or the weather. Click on the i on the buoy and it will bring up the data super simple.

I track the temps to try and guess when the stripers run up and down the Atlantic coast. Seems pretty bug-free as well. Good job 👍

I’ve used this app all summer and fall to plan my trips to the beach according to high and low tide. Always works. Always gives me the info I need.

Needed a buoy added when I downloaded the app, it was added 1 hour later after I emailed them. Awesome app too!!! Great for fisherman.

Fantastic app , I check ocean temperature before I go out . I know it’s surface temperature, but it gives a good idea of how the fish should be acting…

Great app. Wish list would be to see what fish are expected to be present according to the water temp at a location.

I love this app! I live 3 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and this helps so much. We use it several times a day!

The app is simple to use, offer very powerful visuals & can easily be loaded to numerous beach locations. Wow!

In my opinion, the indemnity clause creates an unreasonable risk of financial ruin for a user. According to the terms, as a user I would be obligated to pay a judgment entered against the app developer and all cost and attorneys fees if a suit is brought by someone else who alleges their damages arise out if my use of the app even if the app developer was negligent and I in fact did not have anything to do with the incident I would be a sucker to risk financial ruin just to use this app for information about the sea state when that information is available in so many other sources that are safe to use. Aggravating. Don’t need it.

Sea temps are display in color. You have to try and figure out where that color fits among the painfully small temperature scale at the bottom of the map. Would have liked it if we could just place crosshairs or a pin on a spot and it would tell you the sea temp. Would like the ocean floor map to have more details and not get hidden under the layer.

Overall, good app. Functional. Needs more User-Friendly features Needs a search feature where you can type in either the city, state, country of whereabouts you’re looking for ; or type in the name of the body of water you’re looking for. This exact same app with the “layer” of the Google maps app would be ideal. Thank you!

Slow, no full earth map view, no flat earth map, wave height map (my main interest along with ocean surface temp) only shows some areas. A far better app is MeteoEarth for much of this

You click on a buoy and nothing happens. Furthermore, the map does not show the Wilmette buoy I have a phone number and buoy number for that give me the current water temp so I can decide whether to swim laps in the lake that day and time. This app is a bummer.

Pretty sure they just take the information from the nearest noaa/ndbc buoy and apply it across large areas which dilutes its accuracy. You can get same info from nbdc for free. If you are looking for temp breaks you won’t find them here.

No legend to tell you what the water temperature is. Plus it basically is saying the water temperature is the same around the world. Rip off.

App has went down hill steady since it first came out. Useless now

I would like a refund. I only downloaded this app because I want to know Ventura water temp and they don’t have it 🙄

This app is useless if you live in MA. There is one buoy in the Boston area so there is no way it can be used for any specific Massachusetts beach.

I bought this cause it was a wAter temp app but it’s more for fisherman not to find out temp of water for swimming

There are no temperature losing for the mid Atlantic states. (NJ, NY ETC)

Not helpful

You cannot place a curser on a specific location and get a temperature for that particular location. You cannot change the map temperature scale range. You cannot change units. Temperature scale size is too small. The FAQ section is generic and doesn’t provide helpful advice, probably because there is no way to interact with this app. It’s basically a pretty picture of temperature. And you’re on your own after that. Will be requesting a refund.

Thought I would try this before purchasing a different app. Not good enough info to go for tuna offshore.

I have a new iPhone pro and the App simply does not open or load properly
