Jack in the Box® Order App App Comments & Reviews

Jack in the Box® Order App Positive Reviews

Pleasantly SuprisedJack-In-The-Box to me has always been mediocre. I honestly believe almost every other fast food burger joint is better, especially in terms of the quality of the product. However, I will say they are doing a good job with their app. The interface is fluid and simple. I like that they integrated delivery as well. The feature helps a lot in regards to situations where there aren’t freelance delivery drivers(Doordash, Grub Hub, PostMates, UberEats) around. However, here are some things I would recommend, but didn’t feel were critical enough to cost the review a start from the 5/5. The app automatically removes your card information if something goes wrong with the payment or if you type something in wrong. This gets annoying after awhile. Secondly, the app will prevent you from placing an order if you made too many errors in too short of a time period which has literally prevented me from buying food here just because I typed in some incorrect details. Lastly, I don’t understand why they want a tip for delivery with the service fee being so high. I ordered a $10 meal and paid $4 for delivery and $7 for a service fee. I’m not sure what I’d be tipping for..Version: 3.0.1

May these 2 suggestions be helpful. As Jack in the Box needs no introduction, this review is solely about options missing in the current version of the app. Otherwise, it’s a decent app, navigation is great. Not all options are intuitive, but it is not hard to figure out either. I also like that Jack in the Box provides several discounted items and sometimes even free items in the app. With notification on, I was able to take advantage of these offers. However, I cut down 2 stars because I feel 2 very useful and easily implementable options are missing. 1. A way to favorite all my customized foods. Currently, one can have only one favorite and that will be the entire order you placed. Not just a particular item. I customize many of my items, for example, I like Swiss cheese and tomatoes in my chicken sandwich. For now, I have to do the customization every single time I order. I wish I could save the item in favorites and order through click of a button. 2. There is no way to have multiple payment options. You can store only one card at a time. If the app doesn’t want to give the option of adding multiple sources of payment, there should at least be an Apple Pay option, where customers can choose their preferred card. Hopefully, in the next version the developers have incorporated these. I think these could be very helpful and make life a bit easier, than having to customize every time nor to punch in a different card numbers at times..Version: 2.8.1

App doesn't function at allAs of October 2022, the app doesn't function at all. When I open it, all that comes up is a blank white screen. The one time I did get something to open I couldn't search a location and turning on location services did nothing either. Since the app updated about two or more weeks ago it's been totally unusable. Jack in the Box went from having one of the smoothest user friendly apps to the absolute worst. They also used to have new offers and online exclusives every month but they already stopped providing those for the past several months before updating the app which was disappointing but at least I could still order online and earn points. Now I can't do anything. Hopefully they update their app or go back to the one they had before. Whoever decided this new app was a good idea should be fired and whoever designed it should provide JBOX a refund instantly unless they are intentionally trying to deter people from mobile orders..Version: 5.0.1

ComplaintYour company does not enough employees to help driver thru oders mobile app orders curb side orders and door dash an Uber let alone you put a kiosk in the store but that is making people not get any help whatsoever ever you walk in and you are greeted but that’s about it you have all these people in the store line waiting for there order order meanwhile a mobile order will walk in and get there order fast why because every single employee working behind the counter are doing door dash orders uber orders mobile app and driver through and not to mention mention people in the store waiting for there orders ridiculous!!!!You don’t have enough employees to serve all these services and the employees you have working are like Slaves having to hear all the complaints because Jack In the box you cannot all and complaint I am complaining about Jack in the Box company not there employees. Shame on you for putting these employees in the position that your company needs to resolve not Them!!!!!!!.Version: 2026.3

Disappointed.I live in Waco, Texas. I’m not sure if this problem exists in other parts of the state or States, but when I try ordering from two locations near campus via the app, I receive this message: “Dang it! An error occurred while processing your request! Please try again. We’ll cross our fingers this time.” I’ve gone to their website to fill out the “Contact Jack” form to provide information on previous issues, but I feel like as if I’ve never been acknowledged and heard. This time wasn’t any different, I even reached out to JITB’s Twitter direct message option, but I was never answered. Overall, I had issues with the app, couldn’t talk to anybody, and never was responded to to talk about and try resolving said problems, and I just didn’t think that was cool. I like JITB and my loyalty holds strong, but it’d be a lot cooler if they actually cared, for lack of a better term, and I could actually reap the benefits of using the app..Version: 2.7.0

Bang for your buck!Seriously, EVERYONE loves J in the B even if it’s a “guilty pleasure” you’ve had to have indulged at some point. Like everything else in our lives, things change. Prices have increased for everything (I don’t care about your politics) across the board. You might go by JItB’s and be like “dang, that’s crazy, it used to be only (insert old price here)!!” Well, good news, this app is a time warp and if you just go with the righteous deals they allow and offer, you’ll be coming back to drink from this fountain of youth. Plus, the food is even better nowadays (in my opinion of course), core faves are alive and well. But if you’re still down with Jack as always, like me and aren’t using this app, learn from your mistakes and correct what you can, there’s still time to change the road you’re on. Love this app. In large part cause I love food..Version: 4.3.6

Needs some convenience improvementsLet me say I’m not trying to be negative in this review. The app works fine if you’re ordering for you and you only. The “just for you” picks can be a little weird sometimes but I’ve picked them many times. My biggest complaint is that I order for myself and family, and the most convenient thing for us to do is to have both credit cards on whichever fast food place we go to. Jack has always replaced one card for another though, which means we have to re input the card details every time we switch off who’s paying. More than a little bit inconvenient for something that’s supposed to be faster than going to the window to order. I’ve looked at the account settings and tried adding a card “on file”, but it still just replaces every time, and there’s even a warning saying the previous card will be replaced, along with a message that says “you have no card on file” when you go to add a new one. I’ve tried to add a card, Jack, stop looking at me like that!!.Version: 2.7.0

No more rewards or offersSince they’ve updated the up, the whole thing is glitchy! Sometimes you get to see your points and offers but most times you don’t. Also, if you try logging in to the website, it won’t let you. I’ve changed my password multiple times and it still won’t let me log in. Furthermore, when you contact their customer support “hey jack”, you get a generic “clear your cache, uninstall, reinstall, shebil and it’s always by some person named Mendi. I’ve complained x3 saying that iOS doesn’t give you the option to clear cache, that I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing. You know what they said? “Sorry, we cannot help you”. WHAT?!!! Utter nonsense B.S.! Moreover, I wrote a review awhile back and it never got posted, hmmmm🤔. Used to love the app before all the updates, now it stinks!.Version: 6.0.2

I’ve never rated an app I thinkThis deserves it though, I use ALL food apps.. the design and smoothness for this jack app just blows my mind. I’m not sure anyone else has done as such a great job when creating their food app as well as Jack has. The app creation meeting must’ve been lit.. the buffering/loading design alone is just amazing. I eat at jacks maybe 6-10 times a year.. but that’s because I do go to other places and always have a million options to satisfy my cravings.. but this is one place that never fails to satisfy my cravings. Whether it’s for lunch.. or 3AM drunk as anyone could ever get… the tacos are IT…just IT.. the price is just a bonus, because I’d pay more .. those weird ingredients that I couldn’t careless to know what they are.. I love them 😂 oh and the poppers are the GOAT of poppers from fast food. They’re expensive but that’s why.. Quality is definitely a standard at jacks.. The fact they have some of the best egg rolls you’d ever eaten, says a lot.. this is a burger joint in Murica’ 🇺🇸 and does egg rolls better than any Chinese fast food.. which I also love Chinese food but it doesn’t compare. Congrats on getting my first review Jack, hope someone at HQ sees this and appreciates it the way I appreciate the service I’m always provided at Jacks. Mmmm mmmm mmmmmm! 🤌🏾.Version: 4.7.8

Horrible rewards systemIf you plan on using the app to either have your food delivered or picked up , don’t waste your time getting the app , every Jack-in-the-Box locations in Texas is shortstaffed with employees, getting the app will just make it more difficult for your order , if you use the app alot and collect points or rewards … they will never be valid for you to use , and when you do use your points , 9/10 they forget your food that you spent your points on , And majority of the time I request for the rewarded food back they say it never comes on their screen , so now i have to remind the employees not forget my rewards order every time I want to use my points so be prepared for your food to not be in the bag or your rewards to not valid.Version: 5.0.28

Good app, but....This is definitely my favorite fast food app. HOWEVER, there is one problem. If you order from the one tap screen, I think it automatically uses the last location you used for that order. Because most mobile order apps use the closest store, I didn’t even think about it when I ordered far away from the last time. So I checked again after already ordering, and realized it was the wrong store, 30 miles away. Not even a “this store is far away” warning. So I just did the same order today, expecting it to go to the store I originally ordered from. It ordered to a RANDOM store I had never been to, which is also pretty far away. On top of all this, there is no way to cancel your order! So basically I’ve spent money for nothing TWICE because the app isn’t smart about locations. Please change it so it chooses a closer location, or at least add a warning if it’s far away. And a cancel order option would be nice..Version: 2.2.0

It’s about time!I know for a fact I’ve emailed Jack in the Box website asking when are they going to finally join the rest of the fast food world and create an app because they’re probably losing business now just because people like ordering from restaurants that did have apps for pure simplicity of it! And the fact that there is no excuse for a mistaken order anymore as they now have it in your own words or pictures- this is what I want! Looks like I am solely responsible for Jack in the Box finally creating an app as I’m sure no one else ever said anything about it! (J/k) However, that being said, two little problems I noticed were 1) when you order a fountain drink it doesn’t ask you which one just puts fountain drink on the order and 2) some of the customize food icons are not easily recognizable for blind people like me. Maybe write down underneath them what they are as well! Good job!.Version: 2.1.3

My life with Jack n the boxI’ve grown up with the Jack and I’m now 74. The day they stopped the secret sauce on the little burgers, it broke my heart. It just became a normal burger. When it was a special treat when you could only afford the little burger, oh well I hated you Jack. When I was a young teen my memories were of my little sisters my Mom and I on Moms payday getting a bag of all our favorites and heading for the beach. Where we filled up and the girls would get out and play. Of course Mom and I sat in the car talking girl talk. I remember the bobbing Jack head over the restaurants when my youngest sister Jackie was little, as soon as soon as she spotted that bobbing head “I’m hungry Mom I’m hungry “ She could have just ate, it didn’t matter ole Jack s head was enough to trigger hunger pains. Then the tacos. Now everyone will agree, we have no idea what’s in there or really don’t want to know. Over 6 decades that I can remember there’s been rumors BUT it’s never really stop us die hard Jack taco eaters. As we’ve grown older we may have cut back But we still every so often get that craving And nothing will do but that infamous crispy Tortilla and crispy lettuce and whatever it is Jack Taco. 2 for 1 $ Yes and it’s glorious You out there that don’t like shut up We that do more than likely have been eating them since we were kids When we turned 21 and got drunk we ate Jack Tacos When we were poor Jack Tacos Also it’s whatever that sauce is ? I still like Jack and they can still come up with new things And when I wanted a burger for breakfast Jack was there Thanks for the memories Jack you’ve been like a thread running my life and continue to do so Childhood Adulthood Raised my kids Now even in my twilight years Bring back the secret sauce please Thank you again Jack n the Box.Version: 3.0.1

Removing food item from app is frustrating! When I started using the app, all food items at my locations could be ordered on the app! Now, I can’t order the Chicken Strips combo for my son on the app because it’s not on the app menu! My workaround is to order everything else on the app to take advantage of any Offers and Deals and speed up getting my food … and then order the Chicken Strips combo in the drive-thru and WAIT for it to be made! — It used to be on your app (it even still shows up on a Previous Order!), so please bring it back. This would give you a higher Star rating. You might also work on ways to “substitute” things on the app (like a soft bun instead of hard grilled sourdough bread), not just “remove” or “add” things. Another thing you can do at the restaurant, but not on the app! Other restaurant apps allow me to do this, so it’s possible for the Jack in the Box app!.Version: 4.1.8

I mean, it’s fine.I preferred the layout in the version prior to the makeover. But it’s ok. Fairly easy to navigate and use but I felt the previous version was easier. I’m glad they added a way to add sauces but it’s in an odd place and easy to overlook. These places always have a “death grip” on the sauces for whatever reason. But that’s besides the point. The reason it only gets 3 stars is you are unable to order on the app the variety of drinks actually offered. For example you cannot order Cherry Coke in the app but you can order in person. You can still add points from your receipt but if they don’t give you a receipt, which seems par for the course, and you forget to ask them you miss out on your points. That just happened to me. Not happy. Also there’s no Apple Pay or even PayPal option. That would make things much more convenient. But overall it’s ok..Version: 5.0.10

Needs Improvements but overall great appLet me start with what needs to improve immediately! All ingredients need to be an option when customizing a burger/ sandwich,m. For example, I wanted to order a spicy chicken sandwich and it did not give me the option for white American cheese, the picture was yellow American cheese and I didn’t want to risk getting yellow cheese rather than white on my sandwich. Also, when ordering a combo you can only get that once size straight across, we need to be able to order medium fries and a large drink if I wish. Let me justa include that coupons should be scannable at the counter or drive thru rather than only being a le to redeem thru a mobile order; like Del Taco allows. Great app! GREAT coupons, free stuff and percentage off your order, you never see that thru your mailed coupons. Please make the updates I have mentioned, thank you!.Version: 2.4.2

Best food app But!I love this app because it’s the only one to make my food when I want and have it ready when we get there other apps make the food when you get there but I rather not wait isn’t that the point... but anyways the locations don’t check where you are it automatically leaves you at the last place you ordered food and then you can’t change it you have to call jack in the box place a request wait for the response then call the number they give you in the response and wait on hold for 20 minutes so they can find your card and you wait 3-5 days to get it back. They should really have the locator to check the location every time. And you can’t pick your drink. Also you can only add on what they give you onthe side which is not always what your looking for... ( ex. Sourdough bun, Swiss cheese).Version: 2.4.0

App is good, Contacting Customer Service is terribleI do like the app. It’s gives great deals and convenience without waiting. My only problem is trying to get a hold of Customer Service. I’ve had already 3 orders that I was not able to get a refund from because the location was closed, even though the app allowed me to order. I’m down about $50 and haven’t been able to contact or receive contact about getting a refund. There are other apps that allow me to make a complaint and get a refund email within an hour. This app doesn’t give you that option, other than going on their website and leave a feedback or comment. Nothing really about trying to get a refund on an order……So this is just FYI for people that may want to use the app, just be careful, if you think you are okay with losing some money…..Version: 4.1.8

Good but can be better.Overall, my experience with using this app has been good, but I believe this app has potential and can be even better. There is a few issues I have about this app and hope that my feedback will be noticed and put into action. First, I hope that they can add a feature in this that allows you to add a new credit/debit card. All I’m able to do is change my current debit card which is slightly time consuming when I switch to a different card. Second, I would like it if they can let us customize and choose our drink when we order meals such as the late night meal. Finally (similar to the previous), I would like it if they let us to select our fountain drinks when we select that option. Otherwise, this app has been good, and I’ll continue using it..Version: 3.0.0

Jack in the box appI like the theory of this app : Order your food 5-7 minutes ahead of arrival time and pick up your order at the counter cuz it’s ready when you get there! At some locations that’s true - but not the one on Marina Drive in San Leandro. First of all, no one ever greets you st the counter there - they’re busy bagging up window orders or making shakes or whatever . . . There is no designated spot for picking up mobile app orders (as there is at the Lewelling stir in San Leandro) What’s the point in ordering ahead of time, then getting in a line of people to place orders?) Then, by the time I get in the front of the line and I tell them that I’ve made a mobile order - the cashier looks on a screen that is obviously not monitored very often, and tells me it’s being prepared. 5-7 minutes later I get my order. That’s a sorry process. Maybe I’ll just get my orders in at the Lewelling St. store. It’s a little further drive for me but much less time in the store to pick up my order. They have a designated sign for mobile app order pick up and the food actually gets cooked when I press the button “Prepare My Order”! Hope you can make some changes at the Marina Drive store! Tim Z..Version: 2.4.2

Jack glowed upThe new app is great, but it has a few weird and unnecessary design issues that make it way more complex, and complicated than it needs to be. 1- It has “What’s New” and “Deals and Digital Exclusives” sections. Both sections list very few items to be separate sections. Consider combining them into one section and using badges to denote them. “New Items” could just have a green badge that lets users know these items are new. 2- Please Please Please remove the “Burger Combos” and “Chicken Combos” sections. You already have “Burgers” and “Chicken” sections that already have a “Make it a Combo” button that turns the items into meals. 3- Remove the ™️ and ®️ from all items. The users are not browsing to steal your cool items names. 4- The “Late Night” section houses ONE item. It’s so unnecessary as well, consider adding it to the “Game Day Munchies” section and rename the section to “Boxes” or something similar. 5- Consider allowing the user to change their email. 6- Consider baking-in the feedback section into the app instead of opening up a webpage. 7- “KISS”: Keep It Stupid Simple. Thanks for the great new app, it’s so much better than the previous one..Version: 2024.7

Jack In The Box on N NavarroI love this jack in the box there the best compared to the other location times 100, I always mobile order and my food is always fresh and ready to go, N it’s a lady that’s always there when I go, I wish I knew her name but I don’t but she always seems to be my server she’s a kinda older color lady, she reminds me of my aunt so much the way she talks, but she so sweet and she never has not forgotten anything I ordered along with all my condiments. I love there egg rolls and she never forgets my sweet and sour sauce which I also love and my kids. I would recommend this location to anyone any day especially when she’s there. Next time I’m a get her name to recommend her spectacular customer service….Version: 4.0.1

Great deals, wishes they were available in storeI like the deals and point system Jack-in-the-Box has. I hate that you can only utilize these points through mobile/online orders. It would be nice to be able to use them in store or in the drive-through like most other fast food apps. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong but from what I have experienced, it is extremely difficult to try and do something quick. I have. In the drive-through line and got to the front and have received nothing but attitude at a level of discussed because I have “not given them enough time” to complete my order. Whereas it would be no different if I ordered in the drive-through line and used these points. But oh well that is the process now, hopefully it changes later..Version: 2025.16
