They changed me for a whole order for a cancellation feeI don’t really right reviews, but Uber eats charged me a whole order for canceling my order right away, I placed the order and didn’t realize I had my Work address in there, I tried to find anything I said change address up there there was nothing, so I clicked on help and the only thing that came up was cancel, so I clicked on it, so I can put my home address in there, then I got an email saying I was charged the whole order for canceling, and the restaurant charged me for it, so I contacted the restaurant, and they said they never charged me for anything, they said they never even made the order, they said Uber charged me, Uber said once the merchant accepts the order they charge you, and you can’t get a refund, I canceled that order immediately, I’m not gonna have the food delivered to my job when I’m at home it defeats the purpose, so they stole my money, so I don’t have my money back and I don’t have the food I ordered, every time you request to speak to a manager or supervisor nobody somebody’s always gonna call you back. I’ve been waiting two hours for a manager to call me back. You charge extra for the food. More than a restaurant you’ll charge delivery fees, and tips, then you’ll charge a whole order for cancellation it’s outrageous, for that mess in trouble I might as well go and get my own food, or go through DoorDash that gives you an option to change your address Uber eats don’t have to worry about me ever again..Version: 6.259.10000

Worst Customer Experience of My LifeDue to work circumstances I was at a hotel with no food options nearby. I am in a foreign country, with nothing in walking distance, no money for both food and a taxi. I dont have enough food packed in my lunchbox for the whole trip, so I have no other options but to Uber Eats. I put an order in for the cheapest food I can find (Churches). My card was not accepted. I tried several times before realizing it was my bank putting a fraud alert because they havent changed my status to always traveling. I called and got that sorted. Then tried to add my payment method back. The app not said there was an error multiple times. I reached out to customer support who told me that their policy has a daily verification limit that if reached you cannot add payment methods. My apple pay and Paypal options were not being allowed to connect to the app either… at this point I have been dealing with this for hours, painfully starving, nauseated, and it was about to affect the work trip I was on because I was getting very ill from having no food. The customer service rep proceeded to say sorry but there is nothing they can do. No exceptions. This is a big flaw in Uber Eats policy that they have no way to verify users for instances like this. I deleted the app and will never use it again because even if I am gracious about this one extreme circumstance that they failed me on, I will never forget how they didn’t help me when I needed the help most..Version: 6.118.10002

Tried to fixed my own problem, but instead got punished for it - thieves.So I used to use Postmates and Door Dash until I noticed how they didn’t care for customer service, and if anything happened with you’re experience with them then you’re SOL. I used UberEats and I do love how if the restaurant makes a mistake they’re willing to help you out, but I had the worst experience just because I made a mistake and tried to fix the issue myself. If I would’ve been able to cancel my order within the 5 seconds that I placed it, the the restaurant would have never made it and I could’ve re-ordered; however, I like several others have had to deal with waiting on the line just to get horrendous customer service from representatives that transfer you without consent and have to explain to the next unhelpful person. I’ve never had to deal with something like this and feel like I shouldn’t have to especially if I tried to fix my own mistake without needing my money back. If your company is going to allow this type of behavior and service over a petty few dollars, then I’m willing to scoop down to your level and actually dispute the charges and be done with your app because when someone doesn’t give you your money you cancel their accounts so I heard. This app is utterly garbage.I’m only giving this app 5 stars so people can read my review. For starters I use this app a lot while at work and it seems like there is always a problem ordering food. I ordered food at 7:45, it’s 8:57 now and i still don’t even have a driver assigned to my order. I can’t cancel because I’ll get charged $20. I wish I could post the screenshots of the chat. I stopped using door dash because every delivery driver just takes your food. For example I ordered an All-In bundle from Wingstop, it included 20 boneless wings, 6 tenders and a large fry. I didn’t get my large fry and when I tried to get a refund the “Uber Eats support team” (if that’s what you want to call them) told me I wasn’t eligible for a refund. It was $7 for the fries but the fact I can’t get a refund for something I didn’t even get is beyond ridiculous. Don’t let me get started on the actual people that you can talk to. They give you the wrap around for something, when at the start of the conversation they could solve the problem right then and there. At this point I’m going back to picking my food up. Between delivery drivers stealing my food, my food being an hour late and being cold ( you also can’t get a refund if your food is cold because they have “insulated bags”), and not getting refunds for items I never received in the first place. Don’t waste your time on an app that doesn’t even have an actual person in the United States to talk to. Something has to give with these food apps. Use anything but this appOnly gave these stars on the off chance this review is seen. I’ve been using Uber for YEARS, and UberEats for a few years as well too. Hands down the WORST support out of most delivery services. Support agents will just straight up disconnect when they don’t know how to do their job OR they’ll just bump you to email support so you have to wait. It claims the wait will be 6 to 12 hours, but we all know/have experienced the reality that its normally the next day if your lucky before you hear back. When you do hear back the response isn’t very surprising just another incompetent flop sitting on their couch who isn’t going to help you. I have decided I’ll be canceling my subscription before the next pay date because today I was missing not only a drink but my meal was wrong, told support and got their generic “we aren’t gonna fix OUR mistake or give your money back” screen so i contacted support. Let them know i have proof of the missing items and meal mess up and was told they wont refund it. I reconnected to a new agent and asked if disputing the purchase when i had proof of their mess up would affect my account and got sent to the email support as I FIGURED😂🤡 Went ahead and disputed it anyway i couldn’t care any less about my account with Uber. Refund when using a store (not a restaurant)I recently ordered from a store, not a restaurant, and had to cancel my order immediately bc I had made an error. It was literally two seconds when I realized my error. Uber Eats would not refund me “out of fairness to the STORE.” I understand if it was a restaurant who was cooking and preparing food (even though it was again…two seconds later. If it was a restaurant, they definitely didn’t start cooking anything two seconds in but I won’t go into that 🙄) There should be an allotted amount of time where the customer is allowed to cancel and not get penalized…ESPECIALLY for a store where the merchant can just put it back on the shelf. Also, when I contacted the help chat, I asked if they can put the original order through beings I am now paying for it. I was told that I have to reorder it through the app and pay for it twice. With all this technology today, there isn’t a way to fix this issue? And the chat is not helpful at all bc it’s easy to just blow off the customer. Maybe having a customer service phone number and speaking to a representative would be better to take care of these problems? This is the second bad experience I’ve had with the chat. Well, I contacted the merchant and they were so helpful. They are holding what I ordered for when I can go and pick it up. They told me that they were trying to cancel my order on Uber Eats as well and they couldn’t do it on their end either. So they helped me out and I appreciate them to the fullest. Complaint sent to UbereatsMy problem with this is two-fold. First: I tried to order during the allotted 2 minute window to get the free delivery because someone was ordering at the same time I was. I had difficulty finding an item on the menu and my time ran out so I had to pay the delivery fee. Two minutes is not enough time. Second: Once my order was complete the driver who accepted the delivery was just dropping off a previous delivery at my apartment complex. The place I ordered from is right up the street from where I live and is less than a mile away. So I’m thinking well I missed the free delivery window but at least it will get here quick. To my surprise I watched the driver on the Ubereats app leave my complex and pick up my order. He then proceeded to 2 other restaurants heading away from my direction. He then dropped off the other two orders before coming back to drop off my order which was closest to his origin point. He was approximately 30 minutes late from the original delivery time. When I received my food it was just barely warm. I had to take the food out of the Styrofoam containers and reheat it in the microwave. I will not be using your app again. This is the second bad experience I have had using the service. I did not issue a complaint the first time and I learned my lesson (don’t be lazy). Wow wow wow wowI cannot believe what just happened, Uber eats randomly charged me a 30$ “authorization fee” (this” fee” was only labeled after hours trying to get someone to help me), right as I was placing my order- so when I agreed to it I was under the impression I was saying okay to my order being placed. I was placing an order around the same price, slightly higher than this “fee”, which at the time I assumed it was the discount being applied like the button I clicked on, said would be applied. It goes through, and when I go to check my orders eta- no such record of the order has been placed but the money sure has been taken out of my account! Customer service pretended to check on my order then claimed they were transferring me to someone with more resources than they currently had, and ended the chat with me. No transfer was made, no contact was attempted. So I go through the process again- this time I am told to check my email. All the while I am out the amount of my order and no order has been placed and no one is offering me any type of solution. I check my email and about an hour later I get the explanation that this is an authorization fee that will be released in 3-10 days. It would have been better if they just said, “we’re sorry we messed up”, vs. the ridiculous explanation I was given. DONE WITH UBER EATSI will never order from Uber eats again, nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. It’s a waste of money. They lack customer service skills and the drivers aren’t credible. I experienced theft twice in one night. The first driver said they delivered the food when they didn’t. The second driver only delivered one out of two of my orders. All Uber eats offers to do is refund your money in 3 business days. In the end, you’re left to pay a booking fee, dying of starvation and frustrated. They think refunding the money is simply satisfactory and it’s just not. There is no reprimanding of the driver outside of potentially a lowered driver/delivery rating. We don’t get to choose who delivers the food, so ratings really don’t matter. So every time you order from Uber, there will be a risk to have stolen food and money. Honestly, if you’re hungry, just sign up to drive Uber eats, accept an order, steal the food and eat it. That’s what Uber allows. It’s really unfortunate. I would recommend GRUB HUB or ordering straight from the restaurant you’re ordering from. PLEASE pick it up yourself or use the restaurant’s delivery driver. Uber eats is unprofessional, not credible, and a waste of time and money. I don’t care if I have to starve, I don’t use their service again. They offer nothing for your inconvenience. Worst service everI order food from a restaurant that I love and order from all the time my delivery time was 30-40 mins I ordered exactly 40 mins before my lunch since that is when I went on to check delivery time my original delivery time was 5 mins before my actual lunch which I thought ok cool the worst it’ll be a little late go on lunch and am waiting for my food when all of a sudden I receive a text from Uber saying they were having trouble finding a driver so my order is slightly delayed I think ok no problem wait another 5 minutes and look at the app which is telling me that my new delivery time is an entire hour later And climbing ever 2 minutes since I am already on my lunch I am now forced to go eat somewhere else I call member services to cancel my order and am told I don’t know what I’m saying as I am well into my delivery time and if I cancel I have to pay I ask for a supervisor wait 10 minutes and the rep comes back and tells me I can’t speak to a supervisor as there is no one there, but still asked me if I wanted to cancel the order and still be charged. I cancelled it because I work and I can’t just leave to go get food I’m not gonna eat if Uber does not refund my money I am filing a complaint again the company and filing fraud with my bank this is wrong and it is unfair that I have to sit here and waste time writing a review when it could have been a simple resolve. Worst ExperienceYesterday, I placed an order at 11:55pm and did not receive it until 1:15 am. I continuously tracked the order and there was no movement. I could not call my driver so I called customer service. When I made my first call I was told the first driver never picked up the order and a new driver was given the order. By the time my food arrived it was ice cold and basically inedible. I called and was told that I was only entitled to $5 credit and that there was not a single person I could escalate my complaint to. I waited over an hour for inedible food. I think I am entitled to a full refund of the $24 and change. I do a lot of business with Uber (both in cars and Uber eats). I am likely going to cancel both accounts if there is not a further resolution to this issue. I don’t think it makes sense for a company to lose thousands of dollars in business over a $24 refund which I am even willing to take as a credit to Uber eats. If there is no further resolution I will use only Lyft and yellow cabs and use the other delivery services available to me here in New York City. It seems silly for your company to throw away a loyal customer over $19 and a mistake made by one of your drivers. I also feel that the fact everyone I spoke to told me the company was only able to other a $5 credit as opposed to a credit for my full order and that there was no other person to speak to cannot possibly be true. Horrible customer service beware no accountability !!Horrible experience tried to cancel order after almost an hour of showing no change in status while communicating order to restaurant (order processing) called restaurant they advised that my order had been sitting on counter for nearly 40 minutes I then advised where I am located which is another 20 min away. -Restaurant advised to call Uber and cancel order. Subject to calling Uber eats they refused up and down for nearly an hour to cancel order. They first advised that u can’t complain about the food until the food arrives then they Advised that when the food arrived to call back and complain. Then after food arrives they say too late u should have cancelled order but if you did you were still going to be billed for the food. So in short they make no effort to rectify the situation and wish to absolve themselves of any liability regardless of your cruddy experience even though they are in the fault. Restaurant advised on the phone that their software shows that they were waiting for a driver to be assigned. Then the driver who delivered advised that there was no one In the area. Be warned peeps. Also I’m in located in the Portland Metro market which is foodie central if you can’t get it right here then u shouldn’t be in the biz. I enjoyThe app has really gone back to improving! There’s soooo many places to try out just like when I first started using it! Now the only issue is I noticed like 2 updates ago you had it do the prices reflect distance so things close were free or 1.99 and now those options are up either to 4.99 or 3.99 and I wish you could go back to fixing that however I love allll the great options! (old version) I had to edit my review I use to love this app especially on Fridays or when no one wanted to cook but now all of my favorite restaurants are gone and I only have slim pickings and there's nothing I see to order smh you lost a customer with a large family who was spending money .... the point was to be able to access restaurants you normally couldn't and now there is nothing good in my area to order ... The worst of the worstYou know something is really bad when you can’t get any help. multiple times on this platform I have been disappointed. Orders taking multiple multiple hours to be delivered. You can try to talk to an agent or a customer service rep and there’s nothing they can do to help. Multiple times I’ve had family members hungry, waiting for their food and their only solution was to offer an order cancellation with a five dollar coupon. This is unacceptable. Multiple times my driver had multiple stops and took hours to move from one location to another. when you speak to a customer service rep. And ask them to contact the driver and ask them if everything‘s OK what is going on and see if they can switch the driver. They respond, there is nothing that they can do. For me this is a serious concern to my health, my life and my families life, if a person I don’t know who has my food is taking multiple hours to arrive at location I feel like it should be Uber eats’ priority to figure out what is going on with that food. It has not been. There has been multiple times with my food had never arrived after hours, and hours of waiting to the point where the driver had picked up my food and canceled the order himself.. What was Uber eats a solution a five dollar coupon after four hours of no food item. I explain to them. I am an Uber one member and that this is unacceptable customer service, and they said that there was nothing they can do so I canceled my service. Going back to door dashIt all started when I ordered two things from Starbucks and I waited for my driver to come to my house and when they did, they told me that they didn’t have my order even though it was the exact location and that they gave me a gift card with four dollars on it I reported the issue on the app and I ended up getting my money back from the Starbucks order and they put it in Uber cash. After that I wanted to use the Uber cash on McDonald’s I’ll put my order in and went through four different drivers. The last driver contacted me and told me that the McDonald’s worker said that the food that I ordered was discontinued and that I should cancel. I looked up how to cancel the order and they said that I would still have to pay a fee so since I didn’t want that, I’ll try to reach out to one of the agents. The agent said that it’s part of the policy and that since the McDonald’s already excepted the order I wouldn’t be able to get my money back. I should be able to get my money back when they messed up on my order, and the drivers should have told me before hand before leaving and switching to another driver. Trash AppUber has tried me for the last time. Last night I order from the horrible Taco Bell first I waited 1hr and 30min and every time I’m 5min closer to the time it’s suppose to come they add 5 more. I order 2 deluxe boxes and 12 pack cinnamon delights didn’t receive any of it the only thing I received is the drinks and the chips and cheese and an incorrect nachos Doritos taco with nothing but cheese !!!! NO MEAT !!!!!!! And 2 soft tacos with meat and a over load of sour cream. I contacted Uber support first of all they will not let you call they have these robots with names contact you they told me I can’t get a refund because I’ve requested refunds already UMMMM yeah because y’all never get nothing right so we have a limit of refunds ? I’ve been using this app since 2017 I have spent over $600 on UBER EATS !!! They claim the work on contacting restaurants but actually don’t because why am I experiencing the same thing over and over but this time it’s an Taco Bell in Georgia not Florida so I am traveling and using the app I feel I should get a free meal or a refund or something or I’m have y’all band me because I’m keep reporting this my foot was 42$ and I had to order something else which came up to $38 so some has to give. Hit or missAlot of my issues here arent the drivers. For the most part they are pretty good. Or what they are delivering is closed up in a bag and they cant verify its all there. My issues are mostly app related. Like constantly telling me if i added notes to my address it would be easier for drivers to find me. Literally am that one person that has detailed landmark instructions on how to find me. Maybe look at those notes and dont consider me having a conversation with the driver about literally anything else as they are lost. Maybe i want to make sure they actually did my drink iced this time cause for some reason the coffee place near me it does not see it as iced on thier end even though the app has it listed as iced. Today its decided i must speak spanish and changed all of my notifications to spanish. I know i order ALOT of mexican food but cmon. We like burritos at work, its a thing. And my fave thing EVER is that time i accidently typed in the wrong tip amount and since i was at work did not notice tiljust past an hour after it was ordered, and instead of dude getting 2$ (he was rude) he got 200$ and even being a platinum member couldnt fix that. I mean i can tip drivers within i think 24 hours, but eats nope. So in conclusion, i like my drivers, its the app that needs improvement. Quickly decreasing in quality of service, especially for the cost of a premium membership.I have been using Uber Eats for 3 years now, and in the past I had nothing but good things to say. Uber Eats used to be a quick and convenient way to get food delivered, but as time went on the quality of the app and service decreased exponentially. Delivery times have increased, the quality of my food has decreased, and the customer support is abysmal. I have paid for the premium Uber Eats service Uber One on and off for the 3 years I’ve used the app, and it used to be very worth the price for how often I ordered food. Now I rarely save on my orders due to minimum costs needing to be met. My orders consistently take longer than in the past, and are more often than not incorrect, which leads to me attempting to use Uber Eats’ customer service features. To save on number of requests, the customer service will often automatically issue a partial refund if requested due to an incorrect order. The problem with this is the partial refund often doesn’t cover the cost of the missing item, and with delivery fees and tips provides even less of a benefit. For example, if you order a large sandwich and receive a small, the partial refund may cover the cost to upgrade to a large, but the amount of missing sandwich is worth more than the upgrade charge. The refund ends up being 5% of the order when 50% of my food is missing or inedible. SupportI had selected a “previously ordered” item with all my saved modifications which included no bacon, which I don’t eat pork so this was important and added it to my cart. I have done this many times even from this specific restaurant and it always adds/saves my modifications… which is the point of that feature? Unless I’m stupid. I received my food with tons of bacon crumbles in it making it inedible. I reviewed my order and saw that it wiped my modifications and I went through the steps as though I was adding the previously ordered item again, and looked and the modifications were removed. EVEN THOUGH IT SHOWS THEM IN THE PREVIOUSLY ORDERED ITEM BOX. I reached out to support as I waited 40 minutes for food that I now couldn’t eat. Oswaldo, from support, blamed me and said that I should always call the store to ensure they can do my modifications… which they clearly have before? Coupon would not applyUpdate - I did receive coupon amount so have raised my rating to 3. Would give a higher rating but the app and process still has problems. The latest response that gave me a credit (thanks) told me call next time I have a problem. That is exactly what caused my problem. If you try to cancel because there is a problem with the order it give you another screen with option to cancel or call support. If you call support and they cannot help (as I indicated below) then you are too late to cancel because the order is in process. I saw that I am not the only person who has complained about this problem. Between the programming “help” glitch and “help” not being able to help, the system still needs improvement. Wish Support Were More HelpfulI use Uber Eats a lot. Normally my experience is overall good, but every now and then there’s a problem, usually with delivery drivers not following my instructions. Often when I order something it’s because I’m too busy to cook. And I’m those cases I’m usually too busy to be looking at my phone to track my order or answering it when someone calls or texts. So I leave the delivery drivers instructions to knock on my door when they arrive so I know my food is there and it doesn’t sit outside for a long time. Often they miss that part. Sometimes, though, there’s an issue with how long the order takes, even when I have paid a little extra for priority delivery. And if the delivery driver makes it just barely within the “latest delivery” window, even if they’re cutting it close, support won’t do anything, not even refund the priority delivery fee. For example, I had a recent order that with standard delivery would take 35-45 minutes, but I paid for priority delivery so the delivery time changed to 25-35 minutes instead. It actually took almost an hour, but since that was just a couple minutes within the “latest delivery” time, Support wouldn’t do anything. If that kind of thing happens when I’m at work where I only get an hour break to eat lunch and can only eat on my break in the break room, I may not get to eat. Never order delivery for a specific time!I’ve ordered through UberEats before and have not had any major issues with deliveries. However, the two times that I’ve ordered with specific delivery times requested, there has always been an issue. No exceptions. Very unprofessional serviceI have ordered many times using Uber Eats and most of the time there was both wrong but the times I have made orders that were wrong were horribly wrong. My orders were delivered to whoever they went to without verifying that the person who received the order was the correct person. The order was for over $100 and I was given excuses that the delivery person said they delivered my order. This went on for almost an hour before I was finally offered a refund. This was after being told that they would not give me a refund because the order had been delivered. I am not sure what nonsense Uber Eats is trying to pull but if you have a customer saying that they did not receive their order and you continue to tell them that is was even if it was delivered to the wrong person then there is a problem. I asked to just have the order re-delivered but was told that was not possible because it had already been delivered. I about came unglued. This is absolutely the worst place to order from. The last time something went wrong I had one of their drivers calling me names because he got lost and wouldn’t calm down so I could find him and he decided to leave my food on the stairs of a busy hospital. Be careful ordering from them and try and meet your drivers instead of having them come to you. If they deliver your food to the wrong person you may not get your money back or your order. They tell you to reorder but you will have to pay again. I deleted the app and will never use them again. Neither will anybody that I work with in this busy hospital. I had a simple email come about getting $25 free Uber credits to use on an order. So I used it, and it went through. Some time later the credits were still on my account and I assumed okay Maybe there’s a glitch, maybe I got more. But I had credits, used them for another order, it went through. The next day my card was charged full amount for the first order ($30). I didn’t even have money on my card at the time so my account when negative -$30. I spent DAYS reaching out to customer support being told so many different things, some even tried telling me I didn’t reach out soon enough so they can’t do anything or my friends/family might’ve used my account. Finally after 6 days a girl explained that Uber credits don’t update until some time after order is delivered. No one said that, I didn’t know, and that’s honestly such a terrible system to have. I tried so hard to just get my $30 back because I shouldn’t have been charged if I didn’t have credits to use anymore and I didn’t have money on my card. I asked for a refund or at least some credits to compensate for my negative account. They said it’s out of their policy and can’t do anything and ended the chat. So I have to pay $30 to set my account back to 0 before I get fined and i’m never using Uber eats again. If you have ANY problem using Doordash, they refund you immediately, and you don’t even talk to a real agent for support you just fill out a few preselected questions with answers and in an hour or so you’ll have credits or a full refund. Poor Customer ServiceThere is food missing from my orders as often as there is not and sometimes the food is SUPER late, with no real apology. If I was ordering for myself, I would be annoyed but it would be fine. However, I have 2 small children and it’s really hard to tell a child that they’re not getting the cookie that they wanted or their food is going to be over an hour late and have them be very understanding. If it had happened once I wouldn’t be writing this review. This is an ongoing issue with this service and I’ve never had this problem with another delivery company. UPDATE: While I appreciate that the developer took time to respond, I feel like they kind of missed the point. I got refunded each time something was missing. It’s the fact that it happens so often and all they do is give you back the $1.50 or bring the food SUPER late or whatever it is without making any real changes to prevent it from happening again. The $1.50 doesn’t make my kids feel any better about not having their cookie twice in a row, or their juice like 4 times. Even my kids know Uber Eats is unreliable... which means they need to be doing more to work on making changes. Looks like I’ve been one of the lucky onesI rarely ever write reviews for anything. I’ve been using UberEats for about 8 months now and have been happy with it for the most part. I recently moved to a different city and luckily service has continued to be the same. I’ve ordered well over a dozen times in the past 8 months and today’s order was the first time anything was incorrect and it was something simple. In the special instructions I asked for no avocado on top of my daughters omelette, but it was still put on. Luckily it was super easy to fix and wasn’t a big deal. All the other special instructions were followed correctly. All the drivers have been very friendly and professional. Also only had one time when the delivery took way longer than it should have, initial estimated delivery time was 40minutes but it took nearly and hour and a half cause it took forever for a driver to pick it up. I think having only those 2 minor complaints when I’ve used it at least 2x a month for 8 months now is actually pretty good. Where they lost a star is that for some reason no matter what day of the week or time of day or restaurant I order from it always says that it’s extra busy and so they charge more for the delivery fee and they don’t even bring it to my door, I (my husband actually) has to go outside and get it from the drivers car. If I’m gonna pay extra for delivery then it should be delivered to my door. After reading so many of the other reviews I see that we’ve managed to be very lucky and I’m really surprised at the amount of negative reviews and bad experiences. Do Not DownloadI have order several times on Ubereats but this incident that just occurred made me completely drop that app and switch to DoorDash. Once I placed an order for Wendy’s which I had simply order a salad and a potato. Said it would be ready at 11:50pm. It’s passed 12:20 now with my order still being “prepared” and latest 1:20 mind you I ordered this at 11pm. The app was lagging and had stated that my order was “finishing up” with no delivery driver on site. I went to contact customer service through the app because that’s what options the app gives me. So as I go to chat a system first appears before a human customer service rep can “text” not call but “text” you to help. Anyways, as I was going through the questions the answer options the system gives me then asks if I would like to cancel. The problem was that the options to cancel or not to cancel were so close together that my finger accidentally pressed the “cancel” option. I panicked as I tried to someone tell the machine to cancel that cancel🥲. Working 5 seconds the system canceled my order that was looking forward. I tried to talk to two customer service representatives to help me with that as I wasn’t trying to cancel in the first place. I simply just wanted to know if there was an Uber driver nearby as it was stating. I was charged for it with no refund and just a nice warning. Unsatisfied with Customer Service and DriversUsed app since 2021, never unsatisfied before. My first and last use was in NYC. Driver with name Ahmet was supposed to deliver two orders one from a restaurant and one from a convenience store. The driver only personally delivered first one with restaurant items and never gave us the second order. When we return to the hotel room he texts that I forgot the second order as if he delivered it. I asked him to leave with lobby personnel and when I get to the lobby he never left it. So I immediately texted again and he never answered. I started a refund process but the driver said he gave me everything and that I didn’t pickup or answer. So Customer Service without checking with me decided to believe him and didn’t refund. Not even the tip. My only option was to rate poorly the driver which I had already completed. I was very disappointed because they chose to believe without proof of delivery just his word and who knows a false picture at any other hotel lobby. They should confirm with customer before paying drivers for the product delivery and tips. I lost my money and will never use again. Nice when it worksThe tracking system and the variety of restaurants is very good. The issues arise when you experience a problem. Customer service is NEVER helpful and always blames you for an issue. I got charged double when my app crashed and the order disappeared. I called customer service and was told to replace the order as it never appeared. Well this advice was totally incorrect. The app upon crashing had automatically canceled the order. I found out right before receiving the new order I was advised to place that I had been charged for both. The agent at ubereats said she could not handle this issue and that I had to talk to a supervisor or send an email within the app. She refused to transfer me to a supervisor. I called back and got another rep who also could not help but told me a supervisor would call. That never happened. The first few times I emailed, a stock answer indicating my email was not read was sent back. I called the credit card company who stepped in and agreed I was not at fault. They refunded the money and Uber froze my app for non payment. I sent a pdf copy of the credit card letter to Uber and again it was not read and a stock answer applied. Now Months later, my girlfriend paid the 26$ charge without my knowledge so she could use the app again. The sad thing is that the next order she placed was never delivered. The driver claimed to have called yet phone records show no call. She called Uber immediately and they apologized for the inconvenience but refused to help and charged her anyway. Once & Awhile - A bad customerI have liked Uber Eats thus far in both my experience with them driving customers deliveries to them, dealing with the restaurants and companies involved. Sometimes the AI is the issue causing bad navigation through all processes involved, and is typically on a constant upgrade and R&D which helps maintain satisfacción for all parties involved. But on this case I had a customer report that his food was never delivered. He made an order through Uber Eats App and then text me over the Uber Eats Customer-Drover portal. He said can you please cancel the order I’m going to pick it up myself. I told him I still needed to verify the order was picked up from the restaurant that I would be happy to meet him there or he could cancel the order himself from his app because I wasn’t allowed to do that without being marked for it. He chose to remain respóndeles to me while driving so I maintained route to restaurant, verified order had been picked up by customer and then proceeded to the drop of spot where I hoped to obtain the customers PIN, he continued to ignore my messages and calls. In respect of customer privacy I sat in wait at the location for the 8 minutes that is deemed allowed by Uber for customer non-responders. At the end of 8 minutes we are allowed to cancel the order with regard to our efforts without being docked or marked. In this case I just lead to hope that customers will respect the humans that working behind the apps they are using and that drivers will remain with regard to customer service in their interactions for sake of my job. Borderline scam artistsI have been an Uber customer for 7-8 years now. Am an Uber one member for years now also. Am always grateful and appreciative and share the same. Until a couple weeks ago when my order was processed without proper promo. So I cancelled the order right away and then processed a 2nd order with the exact same items just with promo also being included properly. Uber then allowed the restaurant to charge me for 2 orders, stating they had started my first and had lost the food from it which was totally nonsense from the beginning. I figured given my thousands of Uber trips and maybe close to 1000 Uber eats orders that I have placed and never once had complained for no reason and this case is even clearer seeing as I ordered exact same items maybe 2-3 mins later and had no problem paying for them. Terrible experience over the last 2 yearsI have been a Uber one member for a year and Uber eats free for a year. And I can say that they just let anyone become drivers without looking through things first. When I would get a order they always manage to give me the worst drivers that give me some other persons food or they just don’t know to review with the restaurant to make sure everything is in the bag. And not only that I have had reasonable complaints where support has given me my refunds and other customer support. But if you make too many reasonable complaints the company will open up multiple accounts/tabs under your one account blacklisting you from ever getting a refund again. I am still waiting to hear back cause I have multiple refunds on hold because of my account freeze. Nothing but issues and they refuse to further help out to resolve the issue in the best way, they won’t even give out credit to help out with the situation that has occurred. DisappointedI had ordered for Uber eats because I’m a chemo nurse and it’s hard for me to get off the floor, to order my food. I ordered from Uber eats and it said that my food was to arrive in approximately 30 to 20 minutes which was fine with me as I said before I’m on the floor so I didn’t mind working while I’m waiting on my order got dropped off. I got dropped off to the wrong place. And the person who had picked up my order, refused to answer the phone so I had to keep calling approximately eight times to get a hold of someone. Finally she answers and she tells me that the food was dropped off at the house and I tell her I don’t work at a house I work at a clinic which is where I gave her the address to so I spent about 15 minutes looking she had drop the food off to. After arguing with her for seven minutes, I finally decided to hang up because she told me it wasn’t her had already done two orders after mine, which was insane She had literally just dropped off my food. Personally, I went knocking on door to door to figure out if anyone had had my order thank goodness the person was walking back out of their house with my order, and I asked if it had my name on it, and she replied.
