My husband and I started the app right when it launched. It’s awesome to not have to thumb through a book of hundreds of pages and thousands of names to remember which names you like. The syncing between partners is a great feature, you can swipe individually and then it pairs your matches! Everything in kept in your likes/dislikes and then a separate list for the names that match. For the names I was iffy on, I would swipe right, as you can always remove them at a later date! Would recommend to any friend picking out a baby name!

I have been using this app for a week and found issues loading it. It will say it’s having issues loading and even after closing/reopening it’ll continue. Sometimes I can get it to work and when it does I love it. The simple features and connectivity to a partner make it easy to use. It’s a like, don’t like, and favorite, which you can always change later. Some suggestions to improve the app: I wish it had an option to have someone pronounce the name because sometimes you aren’t sure how it’s said. The other thing is being able to search a name as well, there’s a name I like and haven’t come across yet and would like to have on my list. I really do want to continue using the app, but the loading issue putting a damper on it.

Has a decent range of names. I have a few suggestions for improvements. 1. There should be a general search button. The only way I can search a name is if I search it up under “favorites” but I think it should be a general feature. 2. Organizing all spelling variations. “Alaina”, “Alayna” and “Elena” are all the same name, different spellings. Instead of having to “like” each spelling choice individually, I suggest collecting all spelling variations and putting them on the same name card together. This makes people aware of the different spelling alternatives but reduces repeats and keeps the name lists more organized. 3. I would like to see more unique names. Names that are outside of the top 1,000.

This app has been really helpful in choosing a name for our baby! I do wish it had some additional features, like a place to add notes to names saved on your favorites list, such as meaning (the meaning isn’t always listed in the app), or comments such as “would make a good middle name.” It would also be nice if there was a way to save name combinations to pair first and middle names together. I have several names on my favorite list that I only like as either a first or a middle name, and some of them I only like as a middle name with a particular first name. All in all it’s a great app though! If the added those features I would give it 5 stars.

This became our Saturday morning routine, to spend an hour going through names. Then when we had enough matches we went through them together to pick a name. It was the more joyful option for an otherwise tedious process. We tried two other apps before this one. It gives normal names and the algorithm picks up on what you like / patterns.

This is a fun and easy way for my husband and I to compare names we like! I just wish you could search for specific names, but I love how easy it is to say yes or no to every name and then look at the ones you’ve liked later. I connected the app with my husband to see which names we both liked, which was a great feature!

This app is SUPER helpful. If is easy, fun and functional. It is super easy and FREE! It gives you a variety of names and their meanings. It is also very convenient with the eas6 to swipe flash cards. I also love how you can see what names your partner likes too. My only complaint would be that some names don’t have meanings on the cards. Though overall, it is a GREAT game, especially if yo7 need to find a baby name 😉😉. So I highly recommend you get it!

Waste of time. No editing likes once liked. Not productive at all. Needs a few more features to be workable. The last ten male names I’ve scrolled through include “Aria, Ella, and other clearly female names. Not a big deal, just a waste of time if you’re actually trying to name a child. Not recommended, just use Google.

My husband and I both downloaded it and it’s even awesome to help us match some names where it was a challenge before. Only 2 complaints - 1. Regularly it tells me it can’t connect and I need to retry 2. It is recommending names that I’ve never heard or seen of that appear to be people just inputting random letters sometimes. I think we’ll be using names from the list though! Great job.

Good app with decent amount of names to choose from. I wish it grouped names with similar spellings together as I’ve seen about a billion “addelyn”, “addalyn,” “adalynn”, etc. The app is insanely glitchy for how simple it is, constantly saying it can’t load the names and you have to press retry over and over. Worth having for a free app if you don’t mind spending 1/3 of the time on the app with bugs and glitches.

I have 11 kids Aurora Zander Riley Ryan Arianna Clara Sophie Nora Noelle Ranger Harper that I name from here and it is the best app ever I had a hard time naming all of them this app help me so much I did not have any name going to the hospital but pull out my phone downloaded this app and found the perfect name I love this app sooo much 🥰🥰😊

Even when I have great cell service and WiFi, the app cuts out and says connection issue. It comes right back, but does it constantly. As far as the names go, I swear I see the same names over and over again. I know there are different spellings, but still. There are plenty of common names I haven’t seen at all!

Love how easily I was able to develop a list of names that I like... wish that I could search for names and that there was more information on names like there is in babycenter website - id love to have one place where I can make a list and also see the history and popularity

So my mom is pregnant and she is having her baby in 3 weeks and we still don’t have a name but now we do I love looking for baby names because we are looking for French ones this is my moms 7th baby

My wife and I loved the way this app is set up and how we could see each other’s matches. However, it would freeze and crash a lot, which would be frustrating at times. Overall, it was a helpful and fun app to use.

It’s okay, very easy to use. Ads aren’t too bad. But seriously, can you lump together all variant spellings of the same name? I get alternate spelling repeats WAY too often. Also, it would be nice to narrow the search; such as “no names ending in -an”

Very easy to use! There is a pretty good variety of names and it tells you the meaning of each if known. A couple repeat names and some really weird alternative names. You CAN add names of your own to your lists. The only real changes or complaints I have about the app are; 1) There is no way to change a “like” to a “nope” or vice versa. You can “favorite” or unfavorite the like list. But other than that no changing once you’ve decided. 2) You are not able to go back and look at the meaning of the names after you put them in one of the lists. 3) I wish there was a feature that you could type in a name you saw outside the app and it would bring up the meaning. ***UPDATE*** you can now look back at your name’s meaning AND change the rate! It also gives the ability to look at names’ meanings you’ve added (I’ve only tried this with more common names). Which is great! I’m only bumping it up to 4 stars though because it did not remove a matched name once I “noped” it. It only makes the changes to your personal list.

The app works well and it’s fun to swipe the names left and right to get a list going. It’s also great to be able to connect with a partner to see what names you have in common. With that said, the app needs a lot of work and polish to add some really basic features. It’s a little crazy that you can go back and correct a mistake or move a name from dislike to like or vice versa. It’s also kind of a no-brainer to allow people to look at their lists and click on a name to revisit the name’s meaning. Currently, you can only see the meaning of the name when swiping. If you swipe the name, you can never look up the meaning again since the names aren’t interactive any longer. The same names also keep coming up for some reason while swiping (same and different spellings). Lastly, there needs to be some kind of filter for culture as well as other kinds of intelligence in the app. The overwhelming majority of names of English/Irish origin. There is very little ethnic diversity. These small tweaks would make the app five stars.

So far, this is the only baby name app that I’ve tried and kept. Even so, I think some improvements could be made, mostly regarding alternative spellings of names. I keep feeling like I see the same names over and over, but it is just alternate spellings. It would help streamline things if each “name card” already contained or was associated with common alternate spellings. So maybe if I “like” a name, I can automatically look at the alternate spellings and filter through those at the same time. I also feel like I see repeats of the same name sometimes, not an alternate spelling, which feels like a waste of time. I can’t prove that though.

Great idea, but not yet a home run. There’s no way to undo a mistake of disliking a name. You’re looking at so many names at once. Mistakes are bound to happen. Also, if you’re going to mix in made up names, you should allow folks to filter those out. Most of them are alternative spellings or just ridiculous. The various spellings for a name should be on one card. I don’t want to waste time saying no twenty times to the same name just because the letters have been tinkered with. I’m a little embarrassed I sent this to my husband now. It can be hard to find a way for couples to connect on names, so sending a mediocre app as a way of conjuring interest might backfire if your partner feels like they’re wasting their time trudging through card upon card of nonsense.

Decent app although like others have complained, I wish it didn’t suggest different spellings of names I’ve already put on the nope list. Also, I’ve noticed a bug of some sort. Three times now I’ve accidentally put a name on the nope list and went to change it to the like list, but the name was nowhere to be found on the nope list. Each name was different. My only other complaint is the laziest thing ever but I wish the close button for the ads was closer to the nope/like buttons instead of at the top of the screen.

I’ve been looking for hours upon hours and all of the names are either from the Bible or are oldies basic. I’m not talking cute oldies like Pearl or Opal, I’m talking oldies like Lincoln and Martha. If the app were to have categories and filters, I believe it could thrive. It has a lot of potential, but it needs more of a unique/modern touch. Not all of us are the same, we all don’t seek the same name. There are old traditional names we may like and others we will not. Please keep that in mind.

I was very excited to use this app, but it’s constantly freezing and it will repeat the same 10 names in a row every few that I go through. It repeats Carter, Ava, Olivia, Oliver, etc. Extremely frustrating. I have to restart the app every time. Also, my husband is linked to my profile on the app & most times it’s frozen and won’t show our choices we have in common, same with the names I have chosen already. If there’s another baby names app out there I will try it.

This app is great in concept because it allows you to create a common list with your partner, it I have two major complaints. 1) There are like 20 of the same names, but with different spellings so you have to swipe away every version of that name. For example if you don’t like the name Madalyn you will also have to swipe away Madeleine, Madelyn, Madeline etc. 2) This app quits after every 5 names. It just says “lost connection” no matter if it’s from my data plan or WiFi. It’s not just me because I’ve read other reviews saying the same thing. Super annoying.

I really love everything this app has to offer and the idea of it! When it works, it’s fantastic. Unfortunately, it continuously shuts down on me and tells me it’s lost connection. It does not matter what WiFi I’m on or even if I’m only using data. It definitely appears to be an app problem. If this were fixed, I would give it five stars! But if it can’t even stay open, I’m getting limited use out of it. I am continually restarting the app.

This app is a crappier version of another baby name app where you swipe and can also link up with your partner. 90% of the names sound made up or are “YouNeek” spellings of regular names. It also repeats names you’ve said no too many times, usually within a few swipes! I said no to Olivia and Ava 3 times in less than 5 minutes. Not loving the name suggestions or variety. The app itself works well. No crashing and it saves my like/dislike lists, although it doesn’t seem to base suggestions off of them.

I really enjoy the abundance of names on this app and the ease with which you can go through them. You can get through hundreds of names really quickly, but if you make a mistake there is no way to go back and change it on your list. This is frustrating because you can’t add of delete a name from your list once it’s on there. Other than that, it’s pretty useful and easy to use.

It was good at first and I like that you can link with your partner to choose names and match up. For the past few weeks the app keeps proposing the same 6 names repeatedly even though I say no every time. And I mean over and over like 5 times within 10-15 min. Also the choices it gives me now are pretty out there as far as names go. Maybe because I’ve been through most of the more common ones already, I’m not certain

Nice way to discover new names, but I do have one huge complaint! The app lets you “like” names, then saves your likes to a list. You can even star some as “favorites”. The problem is that now that I want to narrow down my list and have changed my mind on a few names, the app won’t let me delete any names from my list!! I want them OFF the list, but there is literally no way to delete once they have been added. :( please update this and add as a new feature!

This app is fun and keeps picking a name interesting. But less than 2000 names in they start repeating. There are a ton of names that are the same pronunciation that have different spellings as well. If you don’t like Kaden, you will also have to swipe left on Caden, kayden, kadyn, cadyn, Caedan... the list goes on. If the makers could figure out how to put one name and all of it spellings on one screen it would be less frustrating. Overall there are just not enough names in their system to make the app worth while.

Love the idea, but it keeps telling me there’s an error and freezing between each name suggestion. I have to close out the app and re-open, and then it works for a while before doing the same thing again. Annoying! Also, there should be more filters for the names that pop up... for example, certain backgrounds/ethnicities, certain popularity (for that matter, I’d love if they listed the popularity ranking of each name), etc.

I love the fact that it provides the first name with your last name so you can see how it sounds and it has a lot of names to go through. The only issue I have with the app is that when you’re going through the names it keeps popping up as “unavailable” like every few names where you have to refresh it. It’s pretty annoying and sometimes doesn’t even work after refreshing.

It’s fun. It’s like a tinder swipe. I LOVE the connectability between partners. HOWEVER, I wish there were filter options as there are on baby center’s website. I see mostly common/popular names. I much prefer a unique name, so I filter out top 100, 500, 1000... One of my children’s names was ranked over 10k in popularity. I don’t think I’ll ever see names with that kind of rank in this app. I just see William, David, Rhett, Colton, Anne, Emily, Rose, and Grace...

I’ve been having issues with the app loading every time I go into it. It may load up when I open it but after swiping through like ten or so names it says it’s having trouble loading and then from there I can’t do anything. From the looks of other reviews this has been an issue for a while and no effort has been put in to fix it.

Better than other apps but it’s so slow to load. Takes minutes to pull up your list of favorites. At this speed your better off buying a book. Many of the names are the same but a different spelling. Why can’t they provide all spelling variations bundled together and let you select the spellings you prefer? Wish the list of favorites included the name meaning.

I would like the app to have filters such as the culture of names, names that end in, or names that start with... I would also like to have available how common that name is. Meaning is very important but sometimes it is not included in all the version of a name, and I would have liked to have it in all the versions of name.

Its good to find names and try to match your significant others. But other times i wish i could put filters like no Italian names. I'm the furthest thing from Italian and people would look at me like i was nuts if i name my kid giaovanni. Also, I keep getting the same names over and over. And maybe three times in a row but different spellings. I don't want Rashad no matter how many times it comes up or how its spelled.

I really love using this app and the huge selection of baby names, but it glitches SO FREQUENTLY. It constantly has to reload and when I try to look at my list of favorited names, it’s taken up to 5 minutes to load that list for me. It’s extremely frustrating and I wish they would fix it!

Love this app when it’s working. It will show me a few names and then tells me “trouble loading, tap to retry” over and over until I give up. It doesn’t say it needs to be updated or anything so I’m not sure why it’s not working. I hope it gets fixed because I’ve tried to replace with different apps and I can’t find anything like it.

Few names in the app that shouldn’t be names, like “pregnancy” and “name” shouldn’t show up. Also, app only works for a few minutes before it encounters a service interruption and every swipe asks you to reconnect. This happens on both cellular and wifi data. Other than that frustration, the app has some good ideas and features

I’ve been using this app for about a month now and the frequent load issues are very annoying. The other big negative I see is that if you’re looking for both girl and boy names, 85% of the names that come up are girl names and the boy names that do come up are not good. They’re either very traditional like Luke, redneck names like Butch, or lots of Indian and Arabic names.

It has crashed and closed out on me at least ten times in the past day. I love how it’s set up so I keep trying to use it, I’ve even reset my phone. But it’s extremely frustrating that it just won’t work for more than 2-5 minutes at a time and theres no way for me to fix it. It won’t stay open.. I’d give it five stars if it functioned properly enough to use :(

First of all, the app always has “trouble loading” even if my connection is fine and all other apps are working. Second, the algorithm really isn’t smart. I get repeated names (of the same spelling variation) and it keeps showing me names I don’t like, especially with weird spellings that would give Starbucks baristas major headaches!

After you get through so many names, it just shows the same name but with worse spelling of it. Also, after almost every swipe now, it says trouble loading and I have to click and hope it shows me a name. It did give my husband and I some ideas at first but it’s not worth it now to look for any new name ideas.

In my opinion, some of these name suggestions are just a little too creative or off the wall. No one should be naming their child “Little” or “Whisper”. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few that were brought up My husband and I hadn’t thought of that we liked. But many of them seem to be inspired by a can of alphabet soup.

I wish you could move a name that you accidentally “liked” or changed your mind on (or vice versa). It also doesn’t suggest names based on what you have liked in the past. Why does it need to keep sending names of different spellings? Especially when I say no to the untraditional spelling every time

Like the swiping to make list and that there is some info when scrolling through the names while creating the list. But once the list is made your limited to with adding or subtracting from favorites list. Can’t click on name to get more info or delete it from the list all together.

My husband and I are using this app and we like it. Really we do... but it’s annoying cause we’ve both favorited things or liked things the we now have decided nah too and can’t find a way to REMOVE it from our lists. Maybe we are just dumb and are missing the obvious but there’s no tap and hold. No swipe to the left. No edit and then hit a minus. Nothing. I want a delete!

I liked the idea of the app but it’s not as good as I thought it would be. If you decline a name it will suggest the same name with different spelling over and over again. My other biggest complaint, if you download the app, they automatically sign you up for all kinds of spam emails and they email several times a day. Every day. If someone told me those two things prior to downloading, I would have skipped the download.

Although the app could be a good one, it constantly fails after every few names. Also, as others have mentioned, they use many spellings for the same name which you already gave a thumbs down to. Wish they would fix those issues.
