ThreadBook App Comments & Reviews

ThreadBook Positive Reviews

Color NameWould be helpful to have color name with numbers. Would love to be able to sort by name as well. I would also like to be able to add spools in the shopping list tab. I also purchase some spools in large only, small or sometimes both sizes so it would be helpful for me to size options. Good app, just needs updating with more user friendly updates.Version: 1.4.3

Updated: Amazing costumer serviceI'm updating my previous, three-star review to give five stars because of the developer's fantastic customer service. I'd commented that Coats and Clark Dual Duty thread was missing, and they responded quickly to my review. When I checked the thread options later in the day, they had added the missing thread and several others! This app is now everything I'd hoped because it allows me to catalog my ENTIRE collection of thread, both for embroidery and for regular sewing. I initially thought the price of the app was a bit high, but you get what you pay for ... A great product with wonderful customer service. I'm so happy with this app!! App makes it easy to catalog and keep track of your thread. Adding threads to your inventory is quick because of the option to search by number. My major complaint and the reason that I rated the app only three stars is that Coats and Clark polyester "regular" sewing thread isn't included. I had hoped to be able to organize my entire thread collection, not just my embroidery thread..Version: 1.1

Just What I NeededThreadbook provides a great way to keep track of all of my threads. I had used my own spreadsheet or a manufacturer provided list to keep track of each line, but now have them all in one place that I can carry with me. When I found that one of my most used brands was missing, I contacted the developer and it was added by the next day. I am able to add missing thread numbers and correct colors from within the app, and create a shopping list too. Customer service goes the extra mile..Version: 1.4.2

Works WellThread library is not complete, but growing. For people like me that do different types of sewing the app has a broad range of brands and products. This is important if you do machine embroidery as there are so many brands available. The features of the app offer the ability to build your current inventory as well as shopping lists. The developer is responsive to additions. So it is to our benefit when we submit thread additions for the app..Version: 2.0.1

Nifty tool but seemingly lacks export function.I find this app quite handy, and having so many different brands couldn’t have been a small effort. However, it lacks a basic function that would make it really useful— there’s no way I can see to export lists in some way. Being able to export a delimited text file of my shopping list would make shopping easier because I buy most of my thread online. It is still handy without that function, but I’ll have to keep looking for the perfect tool..Version: 2.3

Nothing short of AMAZINGI never leave reviews- period I never spend money on apps - period So for me to do so, I must really want what an app has to offer and have a lot of faith in that app. This app was that app for me and it has not disappointed. I am less than a year into doing machine embroidery and started with basic thread collecting but wanted to transition to higher quality brands, so being able to cross reference colors was very important. They have soooo many brands! Then I found one that I was interested in and wasn’t in “my library” I messaged and literally less than 24 hours later, all 118 colors were there! And I was able to cross reference/match with amazing accuracy. If you have any hesitation - don’t. This app is worth EVERY PENNY.Version: 2.0.4

Top notchI haven’t been using the app for very long, but it’s already been so useful for cataloguing my threads. If only for the convenience of having your catalog with you when you’re shopping, it’s worth every cent. The cost of duplicate colors add up, and if it saves you from doing that just a few times, it has paid for itself. If you are serious about sewing or embroidery, and you take your thread just as seriously, you need this app. I’m so happy I got it..Version: 1.3

Great, a few tweaks possibly?First of all there really isn’t another app with this functionality so if you want a solution for organizing your collection without ads and headaches this is the one. I would like a few improvements to the interface, such as maybe a “my brands” button to quickly select a manufacturer that I use and then add to my collection from there. It would save a couple taps and/or scrolling. Could the app be setup to scan barcodes from the spool to add to my library? Or could a notes field be added to each thread so I could make a note if I have additional quantities of a product or maybe what projects I used a particular color on? Overall I’m very happy with the app and I hope it continues to be supported for a very long time!.Version: 1.4.3

Colors Submitted Never UpdatedI get that there are many brands of threads and that colors may change or numbers reused for different colors by the same brand. But I have over ten missing colors I have submitted two times a month apart. They are current numbers and currently sold thread colors. Yet they have never been added to the data base. There should be a way to at least manually input the numbers on your own device. Not living up to the hype for me..Version: 1.3

Nifty tool and great developerI read the reviews and wavered on this purchase. It is more expensive than my average app purchase. However, I just inherited a massive thread supply to add to my collection. This app made it easy to complete my inventory and organize my threads by color family. It is also easy to convert from Madeira Rayon (the color palette used by my favorite machine embroidery designers) into my thread collection. In less than a week, this has become valuable to me. I had a question about something I wanted to do, emailed it to the developer, and got an answer that morning. Great service. I highly recommend this..Version: 1.4.3

What a great updateFor the serious embroiderer this is a must. It is easy to navigate, helpful with color and even includes your shopping list. I have used it for about 3 years now and kudos to those that worked so hard on the newest update..Version: 2.0.4

Amazing AppThese people are geniuses and so kind. I emailed a couple questions and within 3 hours had a response and answer! Also took my suggestion and making it happen. I will be telling my friends about this app for sure. It works like a charm and the support is awesome!.Version: 1.4

Thread not foundJim, I have Hemingworth Thread that I try to keep listed , so I know if I already have it. I have a spool of Color #1081 (Pacific Waters) and there is not a number listed, I have tried to find a way to add it but can’t seem to find a way.Version: 2.2.1

Great organizerI love the fact that this app crosses supply lines and organizes my threads for color shopping. To save time, I would love to see a barcode entry system using the camera..Version: 1.3

Very impressed! This app saves me so much time converting from one thread brand to another. I love having all my threads listed in one place.Version: 1.4.3

PerfectIt’s the best app out there for anyone who does embroidery. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!.Version: 1.3

Great customer serviceUpdate:: the app developers have reached out to me and corrected the issues I was having. Thanks for your amazing service —— Earlier: I am mad that I paid $14.99 for this app. Most the the time I get a message saying to wait for library to be updated and even when I can access it, the colors are labeled wrong for the thread I use. If I want to submit a correction, I need to do each color in the brand. I also get an error if I try to send feedback.Version: 1.4.1
