Sounds GreatThe app contains beautifully sampled Rhodes Mark 1 electric piano sounds. The variety of presets are wonderful. There almost isn’t a bad cord you can play because the tones are so beautiful and warm. It sounds very real, warm and authentic. You can also adjust the setting to create your own presets. I use the app by hooking my iPad up with a mid keyboard and cranking up the volume. If you select “play in background” in the app then I can even open other apps like Music notes to read the music that I’m playing. This app sounds 1000% better than the Rhodes electric piano presets in my expensive name brand electric piano. I haven’t tried it with a DAW yet, but in response to other reviews which discuss problems using the app with a DAW, I have had problems with iOS apps from various developers not working as expected with DAWs (Logic Pro X & Garage Band). It’s a trial and error process, but you can probably find a You Tube video to help walk you through your setup. The developer has a You Tube channel. In addition to the great authentic sounds this app produces, it is RIDICULOUSLY AFFORDABLE!!! $3.99 is an absolute steal. Plus, it benefits charity and helps to educate young musicians. Another Amazing App from AudiokitI have a lot of piano apps and some are bland and very unrealistic sounding, then I have others that have such an enormous amount of info and presets that you can’t store it on your iPad then you have this one . Super great sounding like the real deal and not too many presets and just the right amount of options for sound adjustment. Just wish I knew this was coming like 9 months ago .....I would have not bought like 4 other apps I don’t even use. Thanks guys . Great sound, but a few issues seriously cripple its usefulness.As many others have already attested to, this app is a beautifully well done Rhodes recreation. Sadly, when I use it with Cubasis as an AU3, it suffers from 2 major issues. The first is that when recording on a midi track, the built in keyboard does not send midi data to the DAW. This can be overcome by using the Cubasis keyboard or an external midi controller. It’s not a dealbreaker since there is a solution, but it is annoying as I prefer the velocity response on the app’s keyboard and it’s not always convenient to hook up a controller. The second problem basically renders the app useless. Once you go to the trouble to get your midi data recorded and your song sounding nice, you want to be able to export everything and share your music of course. So, you hit the mix down button but when you listen back, the Housemark track is completely missing! There’s no way to render your finished song, so why bother using the app at all? I don’t know if this is an issue with just Cubasis, or with other DAWs that load Housemark as an AU3, but I’ve never experienced these issues with their other apps, so it seems like it should hopefully be an easy fix. It’s just a single piano with a few effectsI’ve got nearly all the apps by audiokit and I think audiokit’s apps all sound so incredible. And this app is no exception to that, yes, this app sounds great. But upon stumbling upon this app, I wasn’t really aware what exactly it was. It looked like maybe another synth or something. The description did mention a piano, but I’m not sure if it was totally clear that this was going to be NOTHING but just one piano. So just to be clear: every single preset sounds like the exact same piano. The only thing about that sound that changes is the effects and stuff, but no matter what you change, it’s still gonna sound like the same wonky-tonk piano..NeedHymnVersion: 1.1

Like ButterI remember Henny hinting about this app a few months ago when he showed his iPad music apps in one of his videos. I’m honestly wowed by this app. It is not chock full of presets, but ALL of the ones included are butter smooth, eclectic and ultimately beautiful and useable. Definitely inspirational. I can’t wait to create my own. This app is definitely plug and play. I got lost in it yesterday. I’m all the way wid’ it, baby. That it’s roots are connected to an HBCU is the icing on the cake. If you can’t sit at a Rhodes, playing the House Mark 1 is very satisfying. Its Bluetooth function found my keyboard controller right a way! It from Henny tha biznessLike the title says, it from Henny tha bizness! It sounds great and the selected handful of presets are better than an app with 100 presets and only 5 of them sound decent. I like 80% of the included presets. The interface is clean and out of the way with minimal knobs so I concentrate on making music, it’s stand alone and auv3, and it’s for the kids!! UI scaling problems fixedUpdate: The latest update fixed the UI issues I was experiencing in AUM and GarageBand. I’m very grateful. I really like the simplicity and immediacy of this app. Sounds great! I plan to use this a lot in my music. Old review: It cuts off the bottom of the GUI when I bring it into GarageBand as an AU. When I bring it into AUM, it’s huge and can’t be rescaled. It’s not useable as an AU like this. “House Mark“ is not available on your iPadThe only AUV3’s I’ve ever had a problem with are the ones based on AudioKit. I opened an old file I hadn’t played in awhile and it said that “House Mark” is not available. I went to see if I could select it and, yup, no problem. I tried deleting and re-installing it and, still “House Mark” is not available. I’m glad I’ve already exported that song to an audio file as I remember choosing particular settings for House Mark such that just moving the notes to the NEW “House Mark” track doesn’t work to reproduce the sound. As exporting my music out of GarageBand is absolutely something I should be able to do and this prevents that, it gets one star. Be aware that if you use this, it may randomly indicate that it’s unavailable in the future. Fortunately for me, it’s only a critical part of that one sone..A. ToonguyVersion: 1.2

Inconsistent volume/velocity response and abrupt sample steppingVelocity response has very abrupt “stepping” between the rounder mellow “soft” notes and the classic growl of the “heavy” notes. What really ruins the experience for me is the growly notes are actually QUIETER than the softer ones! The samples catch some really interesting nuances from the tines and seem high fidelity but there can be a very distracting background hiss in some. I am using this with a MIDI keyboard that works great with every other well known keyboard synth for iOS..AlCapufVersion: 1.1.2

App Volume Way Too LowThis app is unusable when running with other apps in an AUV3 situation, as even with the master volume turned up full, it is way too low volume compared to every other VST I have on iOS, which numbers in dozens. Too much hassle to adjust volumes across all the other apps I sometimes have running in AUV3 projects, just to match House Mark 1. It will not be used until hopefully fixed, even in standalone, as I have other electric piano apps that function properly..BIGHOAGVersion: 1.1.2
