A must-have despite some flawsDespite some flaws, OptumPerks often finds — and the pharmacy accepts — by far the lowest price. And I check LOTS of drug discount apps and cards. This alone earns it five stars despite some flaws. Another Plus: There is a symbol on saved coupons that alerts you if the price has gone up since you saved it. Also, the app is easy to use, and doesn’t try to lure you into for-a-fee additional-benefits programs. Cons: I’ve had a couple instances where the pharmacy wouldn’t accept the stated price. Also, for some of the stores, often with the best prices, they give you a corporate name instead of the pharmacy’s public name, and don’t point out if the pharmacy has a restricted clientele. (A little Googling, and sometimes a phone call, solve those issues pretty quickly, and again it’s worth it because these places often have really good prices.) Another downside is that they don’t seem to include any Kroger or Kroger owned pharmacy. On a related note, sometimes the lowest costs are at Albertsons-owned stores, which will likely be merged into Kroger given that the Trump administration isn’t likely to continue the Biden FTC’s opposition to the merger as bad for consumers .).Version: 2.3.0
Great PricesI just downloaded the app and started entering my meditation and Everyone of them are much lower that I’ve ever paid. It’s so easy to use. I entered my medicine information, the milligrams, and quantity. It’s shows me all the stores in the area and the prices for each store as well as the distribution. Use this more than I anticipated - GREAT!I got this app after being on and off user of the discount coupons. I was using the website, which worked, but once I saw the app was out I went ahead and downloaded. I'm shocked at just how user friendly and slick the design is. Best prices!I have checked many prescription discount programs/cards and Optum offers the lowest prices by far! I spent quite a bit of time comparing prices for my medications on just about every prescription discount website I could find and when I saw Optum’s prices were significantly lower for all 3 of my prescriptions… I downloaded the app and have been using it since! The app is ok, the competition always has better prices/couponsI can only save individual coupons instead of saving which medicine I take which I don't think is the most user friendly nor helpful thing. But after wanting there to be other companies in this sphere of medicine coupons to give us consumers the best prices, I proceeded to look up all of my medicines and ones I don't take anymore in the different zip codes I've lived in order to just find ANY where Optum beats the widely known competition, and I can't find a single case of a better price. SpectacularI get to find cheap drugs. Thank you optum. So cool. A few points. Sometimes I only have the option for generic. Also why so dark? Meds should be happy and bright. Also before I had my coupons the interface with the grey boxes and the cash symbol was slightly confusing. All in all this will be very helpful. I can see which pharmacies are best. Competitive prescription pricingI wish the Optum Rx price for my United Health Care prescriptions was at least as competitive as the pricing on you Optum app. If your company has an explanation why I pay Optum Rx, the provider for my UHC part D insurance three times the price for one of my maintenance prescription that I can purchase at my local pharmacy with Optum perks, same quantity and strength, I’d like to hear it.
