I thank god for Always Hope since the day i’ve joined not only am i a member but my two older daughters are and when i tell you from the receptionist to the psychiatrist EVERYBODY there is so loving and welcoming no judgements. Before Always Hope i felt alone but now i feel like i have family. I was actually on the edge of giving up until my referral went through and i tried it out ever since then every day im getting better my daughter was diagnosed with adhd they saw the signs and so did i .before Always Hope i didn’t know how to handle it but to shorten this novel up Always Hope is the answer guys you can feel the love the care warmth on top of getting whatever else you may need in their field they’re already two steps ahead to get it done. It’s not about money with them it’s about approaching mental illness and shutting it down in a beautiful way to insure we are not being ignored we matter to them .Turn to Always Hope guys i promise you you won’t regret it. sorry for the novel but it’s my testimony
I’m a clinician and just tried using the application for clients to get acquainted so that I can recommend it. I’m impressed with the ease of use and did not find any of the problems mentioned in the reviews about slowness or messages not going through and I was able to request an appointment and also cancel it easily. And on my clinician side I saw things come through quickly and now that I’ve tested it myself I will recommend it and give it five stars! I’ve been using SimplePractice for about five years for my notes and scheduling and Medicare billing. I can get personal help when I have difficulties with billing or anything else from simple practice staff. I don’t use it for any other billing because I don’t take any other insurance and I handle my cash payments through QuickBooks.
My favorite part is after the appointment and a new appointment is made before I hang up that information is in the app, so I can reference it at any time. I can leave a MESSAGE ONLY by text For my provider at any time of the night or day 24 seven, not for emergencies, but only so the information is there, the next time you provider accesses my file they can respond at that time. PLEASE NOTE: IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY… DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE!!! It is so nice that if an appointment needs to be changed or canceled it can be done right there on the app. It is so nice that any forms, mood, charts, or any review of what’s been happening since your last visit is there and waiting, and better yet it reminds you prior to your appointment there forms to be completed. DID I MENTION I LOVE THIS APP?
This app is easy to navigate, the layout makes it quite easy to see all information you need to see. I am easily able to view my upcoming appointments, and if I need to make changes, it’s an extremely simple process to do so. I love how there is also a private message channel between your psychiatrist/ therapist for you to communicate any questions/ concerns/ comments you may have. Dr. Patel has always done an excellent job getting back to me the same day when I message her privately. Even with such a busy schedule, she still dedicates time to answer any questions I may have. I think communication is essential in almost every aspect of life, especially within the medical field. Having that ability to communicate so easily is so helpful. I have never had to worry about my meds, because if there’s a shortage or any issue outside her direct control, she will use her dominion to keep you safe and not without medication. Thank you Dr. Patel for how kind and understanding you are, for seeing me as a person not just a patient. She’s truly a diamond in the rough ❤️
I have greatly appreciated this app. When I went to use the website to fill out the extensive amount of paperwork for a new therapist I couldn’t easily sit down and do it all at once but the website wouldn’t save any of what I entered. Thankfully I found this app for the website and I could fill out the paperwork on the app and it saved what I wrote making it so much easier to get it all done. It also makes it extremely easy to pay invoices and connect with the therapist directly. I only wish it had an easy way to see old invoices that were already paid in case I need to refer back. Regardless I love this app.

This app was extremely helpful and getting all of my information in to my new therapist and I’m so grateful that this app exist and that I was able to use it in order to all of my paperwork and and answer any questions that needed to be answered prior to my first therapy appointment. To whoever made this app thank you so much!!! it is already extremely stressful to start with a new therapist and you get all of the paperwork filled out and turned in promptly and this made it extremely easy and way less stressful than anything I’ve had to do in order to get all of my paperwork and information in prior to my first appointment so again thank you so so much :)
Oh my goodness i love this app. I’m a client of a therapist so i’m not sure what it’s like from the other end, but as a client it’s a lovely experience. you get to select which clinician you’re seeing if there are multiple within the business, you get to pick which location you want to see them at (telehealth or their physical office), & you also get to do choose whether you’re doing an initial consultation or a full session, depending on what options the clinician has made available. it’s versatile and super easy for a client to work through and learn how to use!
I happened upon this app while using my iPhone and was able to sign in without issue. But when moving over to my iPad and attempting to sign in, I got “Link Expired-enter email again to receive new link” error message. I then logged out of the app from my phone and tried again from iPad—same thing. So I tried logging back in from my phone, but it now started displaying error message too… I attempted 5 times (back to back) and got the same result. I then waited about 15 minutes and retried with success in logging into both iPad and phone. While ultimately the issue was resolved, it was significant enough to share with developers.
Since day one the staff (Samantha, Kim & others) have been sooo amazing and personal with my mental health care!! They always make me feel like I’m talking with a friend instead of “doctors “ or “psychiatrist “. They are extremely professional but even more so they are caring about what I really have to say or any issues I might be having!?! I truly cannot say enough about the way they care for their patients here❤️❤️❤️❤️I’d highly recommend them to anyone seeking help with mental illness or for a loved one who has mental health issues!!! God Bless!!
I’ve always been met with honesty. No matter where I was in my treatment. I’d like to say the clinic and its providers and owners are kind and caring. When you are not doing great they will call you on it too. Accountability is a big thing here which helps in your daily lives as you recover. I would recommend them to anyone who is struggling & needs help. <3 have long standing relationships with Kevin and Val. They have even fought a pharmacy on my behalf when discrimination was happening. <3 can’t recommend enough!
Adrian has helped me so much in getting my footing in my journey. Adrian has done additional research on specific areas of medications and therapy needs. Adrian stays on top of my journey always remembering where we have left off from our last session. Adrian always listens and makes a recommendation and makes sure I am okay with it. I also want to give a shout out to Leigh! Thank you for all your behind the scenes support. I can not say enough of the help and support I have been receiving from Saje Psychiatry!
My husband and I have been going to counseling with Maggie. She is the best counselor we have ever had, she really cares and talks sense into both of us, she is very understanding and supportive and does not pick sides, she makes us feel comfortable to talk about anything, she has the knowledge to address where the problem is, our marriage was in the edge of falling apart, I would have to say Miss Maggie opened our eyes and helped us see where the issues are in our marriage, with her spiritual guidance and the help of God. Thank you Maggie. 😊
I really appreciate that my therapist uses the SimplePractice Client Portal app. It lists all of my upcoming appointments’ dates & times. She can share guided meditations with me & any other helpful information or documents. She can assign periodic assessments to me and a message is sent to my phone as well as an email alerting me to the need to complete the questionnaires. There is also a billing information section if there are any issues that require my attention. It really is everything all in one place.
Tara has been my therapist for over a year. When I started working with her I was suicidal and dealing with severe grief over the death of my daughter. She has been my saving grace and helped me deal with my severe depression and anxiety and grief. She also helped me deal with depression regarding the loss of my husband and the fact that I spent 52 years with a man who never loved me. That was really hurt me and I had a very difficult time dealing with those feelings. I’m so much happier and healthier mentally since working with her.
Super great way to communicate back and forth with my therapist! :) But when he attaches a message with a document, I can only see the message in the email notification I get from Simple Practice and not in the app or on the website. Also, after I open a document, the (1) notification in a bubble doesn’t go away. It disappears from the app on the inside and says I don’t have notifications, but the bubble won’t go away unless I delete and redownload the app- which I’m about to have to do for the third time lol.
This app is a must have for everyone to have in their phone it is a hope for a better you and to analyze one life to overcome whatever obstacles you have in life also help in personal subjects. overall if you need help I recommend everyone to download the app. Personally it help me in many subjects that I never thought of Even delicate subjects one is afraid to talk about. I wish i can give more then 5stars so I will give it the 5 stars and two thumbs up 👍👍
I absolutely love Simple Practice! I can easily access documents, appointment times, fill out forms, and contact my clinicians in one convenient app. I have ADHD, so I forget appointments, and misplace documents with ease lol I have some anxiety around phone calls, so I love being able to just message my psychiatrist/therapist. It also makes me feel better to know that it’s not a personal number for clinicians, so I never feel like I’m bothering them on during their personal time.
This app is very helpful with keeping track of appointments and any documents needed. However, logging in can be a huge pain, as you need a special link from your email each time to get to your account. Sometimes the email comes quickly but other times it takes forever. Otherwise this app is very useful and easy to manage as long as you are using it frequently enough to where you don’t need to get sent an email link every time.
I love this app! It keeps my appointments in one area & it’s super way to reschedule or cancel if & when needed. The thing I love MOST about this app is the chat feature with my therapist!!! It makes it so convenient to be able to reschedule them when I need to without having to deal with going through calling the office & being rerouted or leave a message for them to call me back! They can just text me back! & the best part is it is convenient & confidential!
Very easy to navigate, track appointments/payments/paper work for each provider who uses this service. The messaging feature is also extremely convenient. The appointment reminders, list of all future appointments, and “time until appointment starts” options available at the Home Screen, make time management much less anxiety provoking for those of us who struggle with keeping a schedule/time management. Thank you!
I have experienced many different platforms to interact and track time with providers but this one is amazing. I like that I can schedule appointments, see and pay invoices and even securely message my clinician all from a user friendly application. This is so much more efficient than leaving messages or scheduling with a front of office person. Everything I need from a patient standpoint is in one place and easy to use.
This app is wonderful for what it’s purpose is. I definitely see places it can improve like video chats for appointments get dropped or have connectivity issues. Moreover, the developers for this app have created a great app in providing a structure for billing, appointments, reminders, and general information. If I was a professional practitioner I would use this interface for my use with clients! Some work to done as with most things, but overall I’m pleased with what I’m getting out of it.
The user interface the application is convenient in regards to uploading documents, scheduling appointments and contacting my therapist. I think the app could improve it’s ability to allow clients to communicate with their therapist. Sometimes I have a lot on my mind, so when making scheduling requests sometimes I process those things on my mind while scheduling the appointment. I feel it would help the therapist distinguish appointment requests and therapy notes if there was a separate inbox for each. Another possible improvement includes the ability to bolden, highlight and underline text to illustrate psychological associations between memories and the main point we want to communicate to our therapists, after processing them. Thank you for considering my feedback💙
I had a great experience with this weight loss clinic. The doctor and staff were very professional, supportive, and truly listened to my concerns. They created a personalized plan that was realistic and easy to follow. I never felt judged, and every visit was encouraging and informative. I’ve already seen positive results not only with weight loss but also with my energy and confidence. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable weight loss doctor.”
I have had a great experience with this app so far. It’s been easy to use and effective at scheduling different people across different providers. Only complaint is that I have an older phone and sometimes it doesn’t interface well when doing documents, but like I said, I have an older phone and everything works fine when I go to the computer.
This app makes it extremely easy for patient to fill out necessary forms, give practical and pertinent information in a fast fashion. It’s super simple, very easy. It has the ability to allow clients to get information from other sources and cut and paste it into the app. This makes it easy to fill out information about medications, about other doctors, and their contact information.
The app is extremely user-friendly, it walks you through the steps, and it allows me to be in charge of my personal schedule while working with my clinician schedule. I also very much like getting an email confirmation that the date was requested so I know that everything has processed properly. I highly recommend this app.
Great app that makes scheduling my therapy appointments very easy. One small critique is that while scheduling my appointments, the day select will refresh itself a few seconds after the page loads, even if you already selected a different day. It’s not a big deal, just means you sometimes have to reselect a day. Other than that the app works great!
I have been with this company for a while now. I have a few mental health disorders. I was reluctant to start therapy after not using a therapist for many years. I just could not find one that fit me. I am grateful my social worker turned me onto resurgence. Specifically Devon Bowling. She has been a Godsend. She listen AND hears. I honestly am glad I am doing it again. It’s a relief to speak to someone outside of my circle.
I use this app more than I use the website. It’s so much easier and the dashboard looks great. Face ID works great and often have no general issues. Two things I would like to see improvements on are 1. Able to customize notifications. I often get a lot of email notifications I would like to disable. 2. Able to remove old cards saved in the app. They pile up and I can only add but can’t remove.
When the app works, it works perfectly fine but every time I’m on the call I unfortunately run into technical issues or the app kicks me out at random times and if somebody calls me the whole thing freezes and then it’s hard to get back to it but outside of that, the app works fine when it’s working
I absolutely recommend Miss Davis. She highly skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy. She has helped navigate the death of my Mother, childhood trauma and so more. If she cannot help you then I believe no one can. She is simply amazing. She is always kind, and she always takes her time with you never rushed. She is attentive. I think she is bar none one of the best therapist I have ever had. You can’t go wrong either Miss Davis!
The FaceID settings has a setting to wait 30 seconds before requiring authentication. This setting apparently doesn’t work with FaceID. Coming back to the app after turning on this setting requires a new login at which point the app has disabled FaceID and passcode. Works fine when set to require immediate reauthentication, but there’s no indication to the user that this combination of settings is required. Otherwise it’s a very nice app.
Updated review. Thank you for fixing the problem with not being able to see new and pending appointments! I can see them in the app again. This fix makes it much easier to keep track of future appts. I appreciate that you listen and reply to the reviews. Again, thank you for fixing this very frustrating problem.
Tired of all these portals. I swear my phone is all portals and more portals and more portals. I’ve come to a point where I don’t accept anymore because they take up too much space. STOP THE PORTAL CRAZE! It was never like this. We communicated. In any case, this one is one of the vey good ones; it’s easy to use and very user friendly. Also includes the address!! Thanks for using this Anette!
I’m grateful that the app is simple and easy to use. As this is made for clients who could potentially have issue with filling out documents like this, this app makes the process seamless. It autosaves every answer, so there are no issues with taking a break to check info or take a breather, then pick right back where you left off!
I am a patient and I think the app is great. This is my first time doing therapy online and I really have no complaints. There are you occasional glitches when my therapist is sharing her screen to show me something, but there are more pros than cons. I love how they can upload documents, you can pay your fees, and you can message your therapist personally.
So many apps for medical providers are so awful. Most drive me crazy, but SimplePractice works for me. Easy to switch between providers, easy to see multiple offices, simple and easy to figure out. My only complaint is that it will log you out from one device if you log in on another. Not sure if it’s for safety reasons but just a tad annoying. Otherwise no complaints.
I loved this app immediately. Not only am I able to easily find free times, select and request appointments and navigate appointment bookings (past and present) I’m able to check all details of my appointment on the go and my favorite part is it puts the appointment directly into my calendar so I don’t have to go in and book it separately ❤️
SimplePractice Client Portal Negative Reviews and Ratings
I want to echo all of the previous requests for an iPad version of the app. The current iPad UI is weak, particularly (and ironically) for the screen one must use to attempt to submit feedback about the app. That screen is basically unusable on the iPad because one cannot view the message while one is typing it. And editing that message is nearly impossible. Also, there are 2 aspects of the login process that are inconvenient for the client. First, the fact that an email link must be sent, used, and then deleted over and over again seems a waste of time for the end user. Second, when one has to enter an email address to even get access to the app, the coding is apparently not appropriate to allow use of the iOS auto-complete feature of iOS. And it does not remember the email address that one has entered last time, and the time before that, etc. That means the email address must be typed manually, which represents another unnecessary additional effort for your customers. Some simple coding improvements and a more standardized login process would make the app much more convenient and enjoyable to use.
It’s an “okay” app. I can see all upcoming appointments. Great. But as far as anything else, it needs major updates. I cannot be logged in on more than one device at a time and that is extremely annoying. I want to seamlessly go from my iPad to iPhone but I cannot. I have to continuously login each time. What on earth?! I want to stay signed in on every device and not need a link emailed to me. The messaging…there are absolutely zero features to this. I cannot format text or even attach a photo. This is a THERAPY app…I need to be able to express myself in bold and italics. I need to be able to send screenshots and photos. Also, when my clinician sends me a link I cannot just click it, I have to copy and paste. I cannot delete documents I upload. Why? There are things that need not be there after my clinician reads it and I should be able to have control over that. The upcoming appointment timer is way off. At 10:00am this morning it said my next upcoming session was in 1 hour. Um. No. It’s at 12:30. That’s two and a half hours. (It’s 11am now and it still says 1 hour.) The notifications are hit and miss. Sometimes I get an email telling me I have a new message, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I will get a push notification and it goes to my Apple Watch, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the badge app icon shows I have a notification, sometimes it doesn’t. See where I am going? There is no consistency. For an app that is used regularly that is frustrating.
I like that the text features are similar to my phone. You can use emojis and text slide. It allows you to send links, but not photos (probably best). I get notifications when there’s a reply. I don’t like that sometimes if I am typing a lot, the text disappears below the keyboard and can’t be seen. Sometimes I have to cut the message down and send a bunch of short ones just so I know if I spelled everything right and it makes any kind of sense. I wish we could set up a password instead of two-factor identification through email. It’s unusable to me on my iPad because of that, since my email doesn’t sync well, if ever, on it. A password in app would be better safety for anyone who has people in their lives that might be able to access your phone.
Having just set up my patient portal and using SimplePractice for the first time, I’m happy to offer a user’s perspective as I get to know this app. My background is in IT, specifically testing/interfacing with user applications and writing the supporting documentation for its use. I’ll dial in to offer feedback from time to time so that you can consider improving this application for ease of use and functionality! For starters, I would request that the application icon (using an iPhone, and iPad) says SimplePractice. The current application name is Client Portal, and makes no sense at all. Branding is everything, so time to change it to your branded name. Look forward to seeing your name on the icon in the coming weeks! Thank you :-
I like the easiness of use to schedule appointments and communicate with my therapist. Its features for communication and appointments and paperwork and anything required by and with my therapist is awesome. However, I see individual and family therapists, and it’s really frustrating to not be able to communicate with multiple therapists within my own portal. I have to create an individual email per therapist and they both use the same app to communicate with me. So I have to sign in and out of the portal to access my appointments and communication with them. It would be nice if this app had an option like the group me app, where only members of a certain group can see messages to and from each other, and it only requires one log in, and a special invitation to view and receive communication from certain individuals. It would be nice to have the feature of a one time sign in and access all content in an organized way.
When trying to open documents, they need to be clicked on sometimes 30+ times before they finally open. Additionally, after receiving a notification that the provider sent a message, very often the message won’t load requiring me to exit the app and reenter it before it loads the new message. This is an issue that me and others I know experience with this app. I have attempted to reinstall the app, update my phone and the app, and these issues persist. Has been this way for over about 4 months I believe. Overall the app feels slow and clunky. Gave 2 stars for the security features and ease of logging in.
First, this software is buggy and has resulted in me losing hundreds of dollars to providers because of their billing errors. Second, with this software providers are getting rid of all their staff. That means no one to call when there are issues. Can’t find the office? So sorry. Billing error? Nope. Need to reschedule? Text your provider and hope they get back. Not sure you’re even at the right office because you just walked into a building and there’s no one to be found anywhere? Too bad. If you want to see what the race to the bottom in American healthcare looks like, this is it. This software and the dystopian system it creates is so awful that I’m not going to go to any more providers that use this software.
Unfortunately, my counselor send me some information through the chat but there is no way I could find the chat. I’m not sure if is a glitch or is be I’m using my cellphone or is only for a website feature but I just can’t use the chat. Update** After developer reached out to me asking me to go through “The help center to navigate the app from the menu” I’m pretty sure they did NOT understand that the “Chat Box” doesn’t appear anywhere… I’ve tried several times to located it, I even turned off and on the chat option on the configuration and still nothing.
With all the issues with the old app, I was very hopeful with this new one. It worked for awhile, but not anymore. My clinician sends me a link via text, I copy and paste into the app, and the link expires immediately. If I click on the link, it goes to my browser, and the browser sends me to the App Store to download the old app. I tried the old app, and it doesn't remember me. I try to find help online, and there's no help for clients, and my clinician has already worked through all options. I hate leaving bad reviews, but you have left me with no other options. This is a helpful solution, if it would work, but it doesn't.
Sign in is often glitchy. Email verification sometimes crashes the app. Can’t delete past due invoices that were actually paid. When I tried to pay them my account said I had a balance (paid too much). My clinician hasn’t been able to delete them either. Twice I the past two days I’ve had messages fail to send. So, I end up emailing my clinician. PLEASE add a feature to the messaging so pictures and documents can easily be put in the message stream.
I actually think the App is stellar; I am rating one star in the hopes to game the system and get this comment in front of the right eyes. We need an iPad native version of the app. I’m not trying to be selfish; but the iPad does offer superior video quality to those that have it for video conferencing twitch their mental health providers. Center Stage being the most advantageous feature. Please, develop an iPadOS native version of the app, even if to start we’re just expanding the the UI to fill in the iPad’s wider resolution. You will have helped many people by doing so. Sorry to have rated a one star; the iOS app is awesome.
In my opinion, the app is fine; nothing special, but if you ever have a problem with it… beware! Customer service is an absolute nightmare. IF they actually answer the phone, they are worthless. The level of incompetence from the five or so employees that I had to deal with on the phone and in emails was astounding. My issue wasn’t resolved either. I wasted about two hours between multiple calls and emails for nothing to happen… and my personal information is still out there even though I wasn’t using the app in the first place (innocent bystander)… a pathetic company.
