LeagueApps PlayThe app laid out in an orderly way, and is easy to use. Being able to access my team schedule as well as being notified of any upcoming tournaments all in one spot allows for a much simpler way of keeping up with my team and signing up for extra games that I want to play. Good, getting betterBeen using LA for about a year now. It’s good, but there are still a few—if not critical, at least VERY helpful (and simple)—things that need to be fixed. 1. PLEASE stop including managers and coaches in the RSVP count. I’m trying to count the number of PLAYERS I have available, and having to scroll through and see if my coach or another manager “RSVP’d” and therefor I have a false count is a waste. Alternatively, give both counts, players and total. 2. Allow managers/coaches to edit players’ RSVPs. Sometimes I get a verbal RSVP, sometimes a game gets deleted and re-added, sometimes a million other things. As a manager, let me edit a player’s RSVP. The count is mostly for the manager and/or coach anyway, so give the person who is using it control of it. 3. Allow me to filter the calendar by event type. Sometimes I just want to just see the game RSVPs for the upcoming weeks…I don’t need to see every practice. Again, it’s a good app, and it’s clear it’s being worked on for improvement. Just okGet a lot of errors when creating new events. The worst thing as a manager about the app/platform - I hate that I can’t add my player’s family members myself. It would be so much easier if I could add them like I can with sport’s engine. The parents/guardians have to add each other including grandparents who usually have trouble with technology then it becomes a mess of extra accounts or accounts that aren’t linked. It’s a nightmare for our registrar that has to deal with all these family/parent account issues. If we had the ability to do it instead of the families it would be so much smoother. Good recent updates: I am happy to see that now you can update the locations and opponents yourself. Disliked Recent Updates: Now you have to click on the home and away teams with games. Id rather just be able to type it in the event it’s much easier and faster. Seriously needs improvements in the app when creating events. Calendar features need improvementThe app lacks features that are present in the website but there are a few critical ones missing from the calendar that force me to use the site instead: 1) No calendar filters - my son is on a team that has 125+ calendar events in a 6 month span. Inability to sort by type (practice, game, tournament, etc) is a big miss. Instead I need to scroll through a long list, which is made worse by… 2) Calendar event types are not color coded to quickly identify them (green = practice, blue = game, etc). This makes the calendar difficult to scan - which is exacerbated by the app’s limited, eye straining color palette (neon green and white on a black background).DrHockeyVersion: 5.1.4

Favorite communication app for kid’s Club sports so farUsing it as a parent so I’m on the user end. Love that you can’t “like” comments in threads so you can stick with the point. Scheduled event and and general announcement on the landing page are useful. Getting logged in initially was a real hassle though, and I’m not sure why. It either didn’t recognize my email or kept trying to log me in as an admin. Extraordinary!Coaching in leagues for 10 years I was always hoping for a better way to communicate with parents of athletes and schedule practices and games. Others are betterThis app offers a way for an organization and team coach to easily contact players, however there are little issues with it that I find annoying. Primarily messages can’t be deleted and they add up. It always seems like there is a new notification (or 30), but in reality they are old messages that have already been opened. For my organization, it does not connect to our Sports Engine accounts for payments. This is a big feature and since we do not utilize it, I’d much prefer a different app..AD inW.PaVersion: 3.14.1

Kickball play leagueThis league was very helpful because not only did it help me keep track of who we were playing during the season. It also help me see what the score was what are standing is and how many wins or losses loose we had on our standing. The only downfall is not being able to send pictures/videos though the app. That’s a key part when communicating with parents through the app. There’s so many stuff that needs to be sent out (flyers/ads/gear pictures) but we can’t because that option isn’t there. Not getting notificationsI used to get notifications when my son’s coach sent the team a message within our group. After a recent update, I am no longer receiving notifications when coach messages. Notifications don’t workLike the title says, notifications do not work. I have all my iPhone settings set up to receive notifications in this app but it doesn’t work. Underwhelming functionalityGot League Apps to manage our club and it feeds into League Apps Play. The RSVPs never go off your screen, messages disappear out of the chats, only primary parents are on the app. Apparently only one parent in the know is a okay. My divorced parents love this feature!! The notification badges show 20+ messages, but you only have one. The calendar only shows team events. Your other registrations for camps, clinics, tryouts, etc don’t show on your calendar. Confusing, right? Did you or didn’t you register? No picture sharing on this app or the ability to send an email instead. Extremely unimpressed with the layout and functionality for an app that is supposed to be a comprehensive communication tool..ImpactSAVersion: 3.2.2

Much better apps availableThis app covers most of the basics, but is nowhere as complete as other free apps like TeamSnap and GameChanger. One of the biggest gaps I’ve seen is that there is no way to receive a prompt or notification from the app when there’s a post to the group chat. The only way to see any of those posts is to go into the chat section of the app to see if anyone has posted or responded to a previous post. Constant issuesI don’t know what it is about this app, but I have never had an app fail as often as this one. I’m on an iPhone 15 Pro and at least once a week I have to delete and reinstall the app, just to get messages to show.
