Good as is, but I have one suggestionThe app functions exactly as intended, with little to no bugs or glitches that I could find, and overall I think it’s a great supplement to the game and improves the overall experience of the show to be able to purchase and open packs, as well as see news, and access the community market, all when you’re away from your console. The only thing that held me back from a 5 star rating is the fact that as far as I can tell, there’s no way to view or manage your squads. I think that’s the only place where the app misses the mark. You can view your inventory, but that leaves a bit to be desired as it only shows cards you own, not the ones you currently use. The simplest solution I can think of is to have a “squads” or “squad management” tab where you can swap cards in and out, as well as check their attributes, and their stats. In total, I think the companion app in its current form is very convenient and definitely a plus, there’s just one or two quality of life improvements that could be made to ensure a more user friendly experience.Zacjay0Version: 1.2.0

Great Usability - Performance Could Use ImprovementFrom a usability perspective this app is great! I can much more easily play the market than I can in my console. In fact when I’m playing the game and I earn packs instead of opening them in the console I pick up my phone and open them in the app because I can much more easily see the market value and sell my dupes on the spot with the app interface. I only gave 4 stars because of a few (but tolerable) performance issues. The app loads and processes actions slowly in general which isn’t a huge deal, but it seems to freeze up for a few minutes every so often with a perpetual loading screen, especially when I’m in the middle of placing a lot of buy/sell orders. I have to wait a few minutes and relaunch the app and it loads, but I lost my place and need to find it again. I sure hope SDS fixes this issue soon..Beethoven89Version: 1.2.0

It is good overall but could use some thingsThe app provides easy access towards you being able to buy shop items and sell items. It also gives you lineup changes from the 2021 season if anyone has moved. But the problem is that you can view your lineup from the app. There should be a tab that has your players and their stats. Really good app and a few things to make it even betterI love it you open packs anywhere. You can manage your squad and rotation. You can buy and sell cards and more stuff like that, but I have a few things me and my friend would love to see in the future 1. See your players stats ( that would be cool if you sleep over at your friends house you can brag about your Luis Castillo going 5-0 in 5 starts and his going 0-5 now that would be cool) 2. Be able to play MLB the show on the company app (if you can do it on Nintendo then you should be able to do it on your app in the future) 3. Great when it worksSince downloading the app, I have really liked how useful it is when away from the console. Being able to buy and sell players, open packs and see flash sale offers is great. I would like it if there was someplace where you could see your collections and progress in acquiring them. Currently my frustration is that I am unable to log in. For well over a day or more now I continue to get an error message while trying, saying there is an issue connecting to servers. Great AppThis is the perfect MLBTheShow app. This works as best as it’s intended to be. It allows you to check the marketplace, manage your inventory, open and buy packs and much more. Sure there is a little buffering here and there but I mean the benefits of being able to play the game when you are not near your console make up for this. Very good, one suggestionI think it would be very helpful for the players to add the “Ownership” filter that is used in the My Inventory tab that lets us filter by owned/dupe to the Community Market tab. This is amazingI was able to log in first try in about 5 seconds, I bought a pack and it was legit, going screen to screen it is very fast, took less then a second to load to look for a card “manny Machado” on the market, and you can go through every past roster update through the year. Great app, but one thing…I love this app! Makes it very easy to buy and sell cards, and to open packs without having to turn on the game. It’s a startApp works like it’s supposed too but need a squad tab. Being able to see the market away from the system but not your squad to see what’s available to upgrade your squad doesn’t help much. It ok if you only have one squad and know who you have. Worked for a long time. stopped recently.I’ve used the companion app since mlb 21. I’ve had zero issues in the past and as someone who plays the marketplace using trends and predictions it’s very disappointing. The app is usually great and works well. BrokenWorked for a couple weeks then last Friday whenever I go to long in it says “an error has occurred”. (Play station) I have the newest version of the app and also have tried it on wifi and also not on wifi and doesn’t seem to work. Definitely needs workIt’s definitely easier to do stuff with the market but the app is super slow glitchy there’s a glitch if you place a ton of orders the app will glitch out and keeps saying fetching data it’s annoying you have to wait a few minutes and restart the app, it’s also very annoying that they won’t let you do collections and exchanges on the app personally I’d still recommend getting the app if you’re someone who trying to get stubs but if not there’s really no purpose and the app is super glitchy at the same time. Oh yes please stop logging me out and just keep me logged into the app I get it’s easy to get back in its kinda just like why is it logging me out anyways. Borderline Unusable CurrentlyThis app has NEVER been a model of bug-free efficiency, frequently requiring you to re-authenticate via your PS/Xbox/Nintendo account (several times an hour)… but it was always serviceable, and super useful for using the marketplace. Since the last update, though, it slows to a laggy mess before freezing up entirely within literally 3-5 minutes of use. It acts like an old computer trying to run too many processes on too little of memory. Then you have to force close the app and re-launch it (once again having to re-authenticate again), only to be gifted another 3 minutes max of use time before it all happens again. And if you lock your phone while the app is open, it will be frozen and require a force close again upon unlocking. Every single time. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. It’s easier to use the website on a computer and re-type the captcha for every order now..TSells31Version: 2.1.6

Unprepared for 23Logon to play The Show 23 and the app won’t load. They encourage you to do a “face scan” in the companion app but it doesn’t even have a section for The Show 23. Feels like they did not prepare the app to be ready for the game launch which feels wrong. I am also annoyed because knowing that I can do a face scan, I want to but am at the mercy of this app which has been “processing data” for 2.5 hours after login. Notifications not coming through for anything on new version for 2023This app was very useful for me last year when it came to flipping cards on the market, however it is difficult for the newest version of the game because notifications aren’t coming through and many others are having the same issue.
