Screenshot problem resolved! Thanks, Sony!I’m not sure what happened to cause it, but the automatic uploading of screenshots has been restored as of today! I didn’t have to update the app to get it back. The auto upload of screenshots is the primary reason I use this app, and it works wonderfully. I love how easy it is to open this app, download a screenshot or 15 second clip, and upload to Discord or Bluesky to share with my friends. The only thing I don’t like is when my video clips are stuck “processing”, which makes sense if they’re a few minutes long but not when they’re 15 seconds or less. Sometimes it’ll gum up the works and make it impossible for me to download my screenshots too, but that’s nothing waiting 15 minutes won’t solve. All in all, great (but not perfect) app for sharing my game pictures with friends. Old review: Suddenly, last week, the primary functionality that I downloaded this app for has disappeared. Why can’t I download my screenshots anymore? What is the purpose of this app now? It’s not as if I can upload them through Twitter now, so what am I supposed to do, buy a USB stick and take them off my PS5 to transfer to a laptop, then email them to my phone? Finally landscape for iPadI’m going to give a bump in my rating for the addition of landscape support. UI is still wonky with weird swipes and close menu buttons. The store is fine if you know what you want to buy before opening the app. But browsing games and looking for deals is still an awful experience. Different editions of the same game are not clearly listed and differences between editions are not clearly listed in the product description. Steam does a good job of clearly listing all the included dlc, bonuses, etc. that are included in different editions but the ps store does not. It’s also easy to miss a sale because the ps store sales often have a single version of the game on sale like the base game while the “definitive” version is not (or vice versa). An example of how bad the store is: I know that The Outer Wilds has a new piece of DLC that was just released. I forgot what it’s called but I do a search in within the ps app for “outer wilds”. I see an “archealogical” edition listed 2nd which I’ve never heard of but the pricing looks like it includes the base game and the dlc; but this is not clear within the product description. But I already have the base game and just want to buy the dlc. The search results are poorly ordered and after having to google what the name of the dlc is because the ps app search is awful, i find that it is the 11th entry in the search results and it’s listed as an “episode” which is weird. It says nothing about needing to own the base game. Do I need to redownload the game or is this a standalone episode? Guess i’ll find out..GiulianiVersion: 21.9.0

Love the app but one suggestionHi, I’m kind of new to gaming but I love your app so much, it’s easy to message people back instead of in game with the controller, easy to filter invite spamming to just your phone instead of popping up on the screen repeatedly while you’re in the middle of a game, but why I’m writing this review.. one of the first I’ve ever written without ever being prompted nor asked how I’m enjoying the app (kudos for that too!) is the capture gallery! I love how it saves the clips for a certain amount of time and you can easily just download them to your phone camera roll or send them as a message on play station! I make a lot of random gaming videos to post and the only issue I’ve come across is that they sometimes take days to actually load on the app and be ‘ready’, also (so I guess two things), I can only find the clips from the most recent game I played until I reclip in another game again and then those will pop up. It could be because I clip a lot, but there is an ‘other’ folder at the top now, but it doesn’t lead me anywhere. New update could be better..I love the new update, It looks great! But there are so many things from the older version that i believe makes it better than the newer version. Being able to customize your profiles look by changing your cover image, profile color, and more was a huge deal for me. Customizing group chats was another cool thing. You can do it in the new version, but it has to be with more than two people. In the new version you can’t do as much as the older version. profiles just look so dull to me now. When you start the app you can see what your recently played games are. When you go to your profile, you can also see what your recently games played are. I think that’s unnecessary and boring. I preferred the old layout. Being able to see your friends, who you’re following, and followers was a lot better. Same goes with seeing friends profile. I really don’t want to see just mutual friends. The what’s new page was also removed. I thought that was a great way to see what your friends are up to. what games they started playing and trophies they’re achieving. Wonderful update, but having an issue...After just recently switching to the ps4 after a long time of my buggy ps3, i’m still new to not only ps4 but also the ps app. the app is useful don’t get me wrong and the update was really nice but as a gamer who’s always on/in a voice chat the update is kind of annoying. i’ve seen a couple other people have the same problem and i really suggest you fix this for people who like to use wireless gear. my problem is that i don’t own any wired headsets, and in order to do my voice chatting from my phone it needs that. i know, i can just go to my nearest store and get a decent wired headset but it’s a waste of money if i spend all this money on wireless gear just for it not to be compatible with playstation. on a good note, the UI is way easier. i used to have a lot of trouble on the older version and often some features wouldn’t even work. (such as buying games) luckily this update is better. and now since we can link our consoles it’s 10x as easier for me to get games since at times of the year i’m across the country from my ps4..Itz_DogzforlifeVersion: 20.9.4

Update glitches invites on PS4This new update is pretty bad, has added a number of issues in the PS4 system, as well as not being able to add people to your friends list from the invites you receive. It’s extremely annoying, and I’m almost wondering if it would be easier to switch to XBOX. I’ve been an avid ps fan since the ps1, have had every system available. Now it seems like they don’t care about the people playing anymore, or people who stream. Why can’t we use remote play to play from our PS4 and stream the gameplay as a secondary screen to a PC or Mac, to then use things like OBS. Instead you have to connect your controller to the pc, yet be under the same network. Why have the lag when you could just have the controller connected directly to the PS4 pro and stream from the computer without the lag? What’s up with these issues? I’ve contacted Sony support for the PS4 and have gotten the messaging system ended as soon as I ask any question. It’s seeming extremely dishonorable what SONY has done in the past 6-7 years. I’ve even offered to buy the M.A.G. Great; I have some suggestions tho - please read :)Here are some suggestions to improve the app to talk to your app developer team: • For users who only have hotspot at home: - We need suggested offline games with low download needed (like one GB or less) - Some games say if they need internet but sometimes the PS games talk about the internet and the plan and one is required for gameplay and one isn’t required and both are in black letters so it gets really confusing looking at just black letters. “Required” needs to be colored in red, or for the color blind, have a setting for them to see “required” in bold or unline the letters. • Other app suggestions: - Add hyperlinks: I would like to be able to look at a game and after favoriting the game, I want to be able to tap on the game developer name and the game genre but it’s not a hyperlink so I can’t (even though I’m trying to every time I use the app in case the next update gets me this specific feature that other game store apps have - like Nintendo for example). - I’m sure all of us had the problem: Went to a website and was able to compare both products side-by-side and loved it but only to find out that the other shopping site didn’t have that and now have to find paper and pen instead. Xbox beginning to be a better platform for gaming!I have been a PlayStation fan since the first console. The PlayStation community is really good. The price of playing is increasing but paystation has garnered that name because it doesn’t seem to care anymore about its players. I’ve been seriously considering buying an Xbox because of gamepass. PayStation plus is extremely lackluster compared to gamepass. In every way it’s sad that the physical console is better as well. But I hold out actual hope for PlayStation to get with the program and give us the reason why you are still able to make consoles the player the best possible experience for gaming. One suggestion is to have a multiplayer only subscription. Where you don’t get access to any of PSplus’s content just access to online multiplayer. And make it the cheapest option available. Photo GalleryI really love the newly designed look and UI of the PS App, a great leap in my opinion, but still lacks behind the Xbox/Game Pass Apps. They have the Photo Gallery right there in the bottom of the interface that lets you see your captures, photos or videos. Just like Stadia. Theirs is right at the bottom of under the games you have. I realize how much work it might take to implement this into an all new designed app, and how much space it could take up to build servers or cloud service to store all photos from the PlayStation family; but your app is behind. 5 stars once it’s added as a feature but it’s just great for now. I only use it rarely because of this lacking (important mind you) feature. Because having to upload to Twitter then save tends to degrade not only the video but wastes time when I could just open the app and save or download the video/photo. Then I’d use this religiously. Wonderful toolSo, I’ve had my ps5 for over 6 months now, and I must say that this app is extremely useful in many different ways. Sure, you kind of need this app to log into your PlayStation for the first time, but after that it’s still useful in so, so many ways. For example, you can use this app to check to see which of your friends is online before your console is fully on. You can also use it to chat via the built in messaging system on your PlayStation from literally anywhere with data, you can check your console’s storage, you can purchase games, you can check the news feed to find out what’s the latest big thing, you can add and remove apps from your wishlist, search for your friends accounts, etc. This is what a free app should be like. PlayStation doesn’t value its membersSo I had to choose 5 star because they have terrible customer service and want to con others into making purchases while they don’t do anything to fix issues or address concerns from players. I wasn’t going to write this but I’ve had to deal with issues nonstop for last two weeks because of PlayStation network “issues” and now a massive network Outage? What even is that? And no responses from Sony. I have had a PlayStation for many years and been on different versions of the console only recently to get a PlayStation five finally and not only has it been interfering with me connecting to gameplay, but now there is an outage that PlayStation refuses to acknowledge and give us deadlines as to when the problem will be fixed. Pretty great, occasionally buggyReal solid app especially if you have a PS5, everything integrates smoothly and cleanly, remote starting downloads on ps5 works great, it’s hit and miss on ps4 sometimes. Biggest issues I have are clicking links or notifications often sends me to an error page instead of the page it should have. Also the search engine for games on the store is pretty weird with how it finds things, will often bring up every add on first and then the actual game. But these things seem to be improving over time. Party chat through the app works great and does searching your library. Only thing I wish I could see easier was the sale price of games I already own to tell friends what the cost is so they can join me. Also sometimes it can be a little finicky with which console is linked and will get confused but for most people this will not be an issue I think.MyPerfectOpinionVersion: 22.11.1

Please fixThe app is amazing and I like it very much and I use it but there’s one thing and It’s exactly what everyone else is saying, it happened to me, while I was using the app it just logged me out for no reason I restarted my phone I updated the app and it still wouldn’t log me back in and the thing is it’s not under my email so I don’t know the password therefore I can’t get into the app it’s kind of frustrating because I was using the app three minutes ago and now I’m logged out I really hope that they fix it to where it won’t randomly log me and other people out and some people have been saying that they can’t get back in and I really hope that I can get back in but if I can’t well then I guess I’m not going to be able to use the app but I really liked the app it had a great design and it was easy to control its overall a great app though.Goated_1224Version: 25.7.1

Needs WorkI would have given this a 4 star at least, but it definitely loses one as a result of how SLOW AND LAGGY the app itself is. It’s so frustrating to be in party chat when you have to click the mute icon about 3 times in order for it to register. Moreover, the share screens take a year to flip when turning your phone horizontally, and the screen remains black on the share screen for a good 5 or so seconds before it decides to display the stream. When pulling up the volume slider for an individual party mate, the tab goes so high up it overlaps with other on screen icons like the battery icon on the iphone. In this state it struggles to minimize whenever you hit the ‘x’ icon to cancel the window. There’s a slew of other functions that need to be refined. The idea of everything they have on here is great, and I’m in chat with friends every night while at work. Fixing the latency would allow for a pleasant experience as everything allowed on the app so far is very useful..GodSmitVersion: 23.11.0

Very ConvenientThe app is very useful. Owning a ps5 is great and all, but there are things that the app just happens to do better. Being able to access my clips are great, and the fact that's it does it automatically for me is even better. Although, I wish it was not limited to only short clips and captures. I would love if I could download one of my larger video clips and I also wish there was an option to have the downloads stay permanently on the app rather than them disappearing after a certain amount of time. The message feature is also great. Typing using a keyboard on the PS5 that you have to navigate with a controller joystick is a hassle at times, so being able to send a text message to my friends that they get on their own PS5 while I play my games and don't have to be interrupted by a giant keyboard is such a great feature..RbrtdxnVersion: 23.10.0

I want to love it but it’s frustrating because it’s not working right no matter what I doI really hope updates improve it. I love what it’s supposed to do but it’s not working for me. I’m away from my system and wanted to watch Fortnite captures I took just 2 days ago (well within the 14 days it claims) but it’s only showing from Disney Dreamlight. I’ve only played the two games recently. And it’s only showing a weeks worth of Disney. Bear in mind I’ve only had that game for a week on PS. Been playing Fortnite for years on PS. Second frustration is the “option” to choose what game news you get. I went through and turned off all but the games I want news from. Only to find it reset to 130 random AGAIN. Every time. It’s not the end of the world but it defeats the purposes it claims and is so frustrating. Sign-in screen?It’s not a bad app overall. I’m glad they put messaging back into the main app. But it’s been…how many years since Touch ID and Face ID were invented? Yet, Sony still hasn’t figured out a way to have the app connect to either one, and worse, it doesn’t even connect to Apple’s password system. You still have to exit the app, log into whatever password app you’re using, copy and paste the password, go back to the Sony app, etc. PLEASE just make it so that there’s a fingerprint or Face ID scanner within the app’s login field. For a tech company like Sony, it’s been more than enough time for you to figure out how to do this already! Or better yet…maybe stop logging us out constantly on our own phones? This isn’t a banking app; it’s gaming! On an approved device, give us the option to stay logged in. 1 step forward 2 steps back...The app has potential, but now it’s missing so much. The ability to post things from your phone to the What’s New section and the fact that the What’s New section is completely gone (no bueno) being able to comment and like your friends achievements or posts is what made the PS app stand out on top of any other gaming app that’s out there. Messages being intergrated into the app and the fact that you can actually buy things off the PSN are both welcomed changes, but all the accessibility that was in the original app needs to return. Profile customization, themes, I personally enjoyed the fact that close friends or family could see your actual picture with the Avatar made it so much more personal. If those changes are to occur I would not just recommend this app, but if you have a PlayStation, you NEED this app. As of now though the app is just...meh*...hope to see these changes in the future, but this is a decent start..Susanoo83Version: 20.9.4

Needs updateHi, I really like this app it makes a little bit easier for when I am not near my PlayStation to play my games but when I’m using the app I get very low FPS/quality and it makes it really hard to play the game and it also lags like a lot I was wondering if there would be any updates that could fix that issue for this app? If so, that would be really great and make this app a five star instead of a four star and also sometimes it will crash the app or my PlayStation will just lose connection to the app. It’d be great if there was an update that will fix that issue, in the near future this app does come in handy. Great and easy to use.I personally always use this app when I'm on the go, or when I'm unavailable and my friends want to know where I am. Overall, I haven't experienced any flaws in usage and have had an extremely smooth experience. This issue is still related to PlayStation matters, but this is about the website. I have had a recurring problem of when I attempt to add funds to my PS5 account, about 90% of the time it will state that something went wrong, try again later, so on and so forth. I spend a good thirty minutes trying to get the website to actually add the funds. Apparently from research this is just a PS5 problem? Good UI but voice chat annoys meTo start this review I love the UI and features the new update has, and I think it was a lot better compared to the one one. my problem comes when I try to join a voice chat on my phone. I have tried multiple times to use a wireless headset connected to my phone in order to use the voice chat feature but the app doesn't seem to support that function so I'm forced to use earbuds or my speaker in order to talk to someone on the voice chat. I find this incredibly annoying that the app, which is made for phones in order to be easy to use, does not let me use the audio device of my choice to communicate via voice chat. I don't think I should have to be forced to use specifically earbuds on the app when I prefer to use my Bluetooth headphones which have better audio quality. It would be nice for the voice chat feature to be more accessible when it comes to what audio devices you can use with it..Forsanain 45Version: 20.9.4

Not a bad app but needs improvementsThis app is good but it needs improvements like if someone invites you to a party, and you don’t have a mic to connect to your controller. This is a repeating problem, but with my suggestion. It’s to add a function of joining your friends party or heck even having a function even having a mic setting and yet you can’t use it. Here’s another improvement that I suggest, Make sure that if you get an invite to the party, you can actually join the party and chat not giving us the option to get a mic. No doing that., just makes it a waste of time. Do the most good thing and do it. Don’t leave the people without mics. Make sure that they get the best gift from you Sony. Do these improvements and you won’t have a BAD rating. That’s why I’m giving Sony and the PlayStation app, a 3.5 stars. Messages (Copy Paste)I have a problem when it comes to messaging people on psn. My problem is that I’m unable to copy and paste. It really is a problem because my friend was trying to send me a link to a warzone stunt and I was unable to click it because it said the url was hidden. I assume he had to type in the link and he shouldn’t have to do that. And I was trying to send him a link to one of my exclusive videos and the link didn’t work for him either. It’s really annoying when you’re unable to send links and copy paste. I’m sure a lot of other people are having the same problem. Needs some work.I would have started at 4 stars and then given you 5, but I felt like you wouldn’t fix what I’m asking for. I think the UI is pretty good and works fine on iPhone X and I have few issues with it. BUT, there are 2 things I REALLY want changed and I don’t know if I’m alone here, but I think they would make the experience a lot better. 1.) On the PSN feature of the app, it is confusing to navigate. The part that is confusing is the back button. It is too hard to find and the X button kicks you out of PSN leaving you to start all over. This is annoying esp if you are shopping. 2.) I use the PS Communities app ALOT and I like to post photos. Offline! It would be nice if I could access my photo gallery from my phone, even if it meant being hooked up to WiFi and being in the vicinity of my PS4. Now, is that asking too much? Used to love it butSince sony gears new technology/gaming devices catered to only ps5, I decided to leave sony and go to Microsoft. I will spread my voice wherever I can until I can persuade many more people to switch over since sony doesn't care about its existing customers and Caters only to New customers while focusing on kids 7-12year olds by making games made for kindergartners. With that said. The new high prices of ps plus membership with lack of quality or horrible b-listed free monthly games that aren't even worth my time downloading is worthless while raising the monthly plan? You used to get the 12 Month membership for $59 since ps4 has been out but since they released the ps5, they raised the prices and made 3 tiers of membership , all worthless and I'm here to educate you that you don't need that monthly plan just to play games online. Most games are free to play online such as fortnite and U don't need a membership. Also; you can buy the 12 month membership somewhere else for $30-40 for 12 months and now sony offers it's for $80 for 12 months but it's still a SCAM!!! With this said, I've had a PlayStation 1,2,3,4 and I just purchased the Xbox series X because the game pass is unbeatable !!!!! Make the switch and don't give sony another cent since their games cost $80 just for a game and the quality of the game is garbage because it's low fps and they release games that are unfinished and all they do is REMASTER GAMES ANYWAYS AND THEY CANT THINK OF ANYTHING NEW, too MAKE.AYo_BLacK_Version: 23.11.0

From great to AWFULIf this was six months ago before the big update I would've give five stars... Coming from someone who very heavily use this app for a long time. I have very many groups that I talk with daily some are just chat groups about certain topics and others are for games to schedule sessions to play with friends. My biggest issue is that It's now so frustrating to type and message people. If u make a mistake during your message using the app its near impossible to go back and edit your message. It jumps straight to the top of the paragraph or the bottom not allowing u to edit any mistakes in your message. So I have resorted to writing my message in the notes section of my phone then copy and paste it to the app.. now isnt that ridiculous? That I literally cannot use your messaging app to message people? I've had to resort to this extra step just to be able to use your app but it used to be perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever. And that's just my first complaint but that's the major one that is stopping me from using your app at all. I went from someone who heavily use the app daily and now all my friends wonder what happened to me because I've lost all communication contact with all my dearest friends because you change the app. I'm not gonna go into the many other things that used to be so great and perfect about the app that you have now completely taken away or ruined because I just really want you to focus on the messaging part so that I could communicate with my friends again and not have to resort to using the notes section of my phone and then copy and pasting it to the app....JoeyTyoVersion: 21.4.0

Not a review of the app it self but more of the PSN network as a wholeThe PlayStation app works quite well, as I’ve encountered few glitches or bugs, though it can be hard to navigate compared to the old way. However there are some issues that I have with the PlayStation Network that apply to this app. First, you can no longer change your cover image from the app, or the website for that matter. I have no idea why they removed this feature as now it’s much more difficult to change the cover image, and it often looks worse because you’re having to take a screenshot of something rather than download the image. Second, Playstation does not allow you to delete shared media so if you post anything, it stays on your profile. This is another feature that seems so obvious to have, as sometimes you post something and later don’t want to see it. Third, when you become friends with someone, you automatically follow them and they follow you back. But if you unfriend them they will still be following you, and you can’t make them unfollow you unless you block them. Once again, it seems only logical to have the ability to control who follows you and who doesn’t but Playstation does not allow you that. PS Video ReviewApparently the PS Video app is no longer available because Sony does not care about its customers. I have been a life long PlayStation user and began building a library of movies through their store only to have Sony stop selling movies and television in their PlayStation store. Now viewing my purchased movies is a nightmare. Not only am I unable to download my films to my console but even viewing my films through the trash ps video app is terrible. I downloaded some movies to my phone and the film still has issues loading and will frequently restart my movies rather than picking up where I left off. Sonys handling of videos purchased through PS is hot garbage and leaves loyal customers out to dry. This conduct is a huge middle finger to anyone who has purchased tv and film in their store. The more time that passes the harder it gets to view purchased content. Sadly many of the movies I love were purchased through Sony and PS and I will have to buy them again (definitely not through Sony or any extension of Sony). PlayStation Is a ScamIf I knew my first amendment rights were going to be violated without a hearing of either side, having robots that are the “best” at looking at detail while a report is in, and it doesn’t matter if one is reported first after also the other sending links to hack my account and also acts like he is a minor. Needs workThis app is definitely better than the old PlayStation app now that it combines everything, although it does not do this very well. The UI is decent but it’s not as fluid as the original UI and has some pointless screens especially in the messages/parties/friends tabs. The overall PlayStation search a user system is broken and annoying now too. You used to be able to search a player’s gamer tag and see the 1 and only result of their name, but now searching a gamer tag often shows a list of unrelated users and friends who share key words with the name you searched and lists the one person you searched somewhere in the middle of all of that and if you’re lucky they’ll appear as the very last result. Sometimes the user won’t even appear at all and you have to go through the same process on the console to get what you want. Also I miss the feature to turn on the PlayStation from the app if both were on the same network. Predatory behavior towards customersAfter being a loyal customer, that has bought multiple copies of some games to play with friend, sometimes for days/weeks, I had bought “DayZ” to try out but it was faulty, the controls felt off. Only played for a minute since it wasn’t playable, I contacted PlayStation support only to be question repeatedly like I was being interrogated after giving the same answer multiple times. I felt coerced/ pressured by the CSR like they wanted to hear a different answer so they wouldn’t help me, he was trying to gaslight me into thinking it was my PS5 that was . I wasn’t going to stop being a customer just over a refund but the CSR and their supervisor were just dismissing me trying to end the help with no attempt to help or compromise. Incompetent & CarelessWith all the resources Sony has, they’re utterly incompetent & honestly, I think they intentionally try NOT to make good applications. This is across the board. Be careful when buying!Unless you enjoy jumping through burning hoops to try and get your Pre-order or Unplayed games refund, then make sure what you’re buying is exactly what you want. Because your money is as good as gone once you hit X on that purchase. Instead of a simple button somewhere on the purchase screen or in the settings, you can expect to go talk in a chat to a robot for 15 minutes. After you provide the robot with all your details (already exhausting), you can expect to wait 30 minutes in the chat window for a “Live” agent. Once you get to that part he will ask for all of the same information you already provided the robot. About 15 minutes into that, he will then tell you that he has wonderful news for you and you will be getting your refund! Not as good as it used to be!The app itself has grown as far as U.I. For example, the Playstation Store is now easier to navigate and find, such as most everything in the app, but I give it such a low rating because, for me, the past version of this app had two really important features that kept me using this app often. Looks great but missing key featuresThe new UI is great. Navigation is smooth, and it’s fairly easy to get around. However, I just skipped the PS Store Black Friday sale because of this app. Why? Like the redesign, but some hiccupsThe redesign is generally pretty nice. It looks good, and it’s useful to have more features in a single app vs several. But messages and notifications need attention: 1. Pics/attachments in messages need to be higher resolution and zoomable/flippable. As it is now, a pic sent in a message comes through in low quality. You also can’t flip to view landscape pictures (which is obviously how screenshots from a PS machine come through) or zoom without downloading the pic and opening it separately. That makes pic sharing a nightmare and should all change. 2. Notifications take too much time and specific actions to clear. Opening a message group and viewing new messages should clear notifications about that thread. Having to click through individual notifications just to clear them is annoying, especially since it takes two or three times to actually clear in some cases. 3. Notification icon count is way off lately. It comes and goes, but sometimes a new notification displays a count on the iPhone Home Screen that is far and away more than the actual unread notifications. Sometimes a single new notification sends the count from nothing to 70+. 4. There needs to be a better way to determine if/when notifications go to the app vs the PlayStation. I understand limiting them so it does not constantly duplicate. Convenient but slow and buggyIt’s nice being able to check messages, see trophies, manage points and collectibles, see what friends are up to, and look at stats like the amount time a game has been played for. But the app is crazy slow and buggy compared to modern apps. It takes one to three minutes to load. This is absurd. Abysmal. Embarrassing. Trying to message someone real quick? 30 seconds for it to stop bugging out enough for you to tap the messages button (longer if it gives you an in app notification first). 30-60 seconds to scroll down and open the message. 15s for the keyboard to come up. 15-30s for the message to send. And don’t you dare try to click back to the main menu, because that’s at least another minute. Sure, these times are not technically very long. 🤔The PlayStation app has lots of good features and helps me know when to play on PC or PlayStation. The big problem is that for user that doesn’t use the PlayStation app very often I often find myself signed out of the PlayStation app every update! Captures aren’t workingI’d love to use the features on this app for sharing content from my games with friends, but, honestly, it’s in a sorry state. It is incredibly inconsistent with uploading screen caps and video clips, even under 20 seconds long. Trying to save or download media sent even by myself through the PlayStation Messages feature proves pointless, as the only option that exists is to delete said screen cap/video clip. No option on the PlayStation 5 itself to directly upload to the app. The only sure-fire way is spending several minutes using a USB-drive to import to computer, and then to phone. Not the worst task in the world to accomplish by any means, but having the app function seamlessly with game captures would make the all around experience much easier and less of a hassle. EmbarrassingIt’s unfathomable how bad this app is- scaling is off, it’s set up so autofill passwords cannot work even if you have them saved in iCloud, it won’t let you past the login screen if there is an issue with your account, but also will not tell you there is an issue (such as pending account verification or mistyped password). Region villianI created my account in US when I lived there and when I moved back to Canada i realized that all my purchases and account are locked eternally.
