Captions: AI Edits Your Video Negative Reviews
150K Subs YouTuber OpinionI want to start this out by saying I am a YouTuber with over 150K subs, I wanted to try this out just to see if it was any good, so here’s my honest opinion.
Pros:

This app will generate relatively accurate captions that will appear in an engaging way
Cons:
- Cost
The cost is although low, much of the advertised edits can be done in a short time and can be done to a much better degree than this app can
- All non caption generated edits/effects
I tried out as many of the other features available, none of them worked well, the edits were sloppy and made no sense at times and I didn’t have much control over the edits either. Considering I edit my own videos, I am aware that many of these edits can be done with relative ease, and if not you can find free templates or presets online, whether you use something paid like premiere pro, or something free like davinci resolve
Overall:
If you are looking for captioning, this is not the worst option, however free options exist. Aside from captions this app offers nothing of value. Not worth it..WatkillVersion: 11.47.0

Really terrible app and not worth the priceI’ve been using this app for almost a year now, so I’ve tried with it a lot. When editing it lags so much, I often lose my work because even when I click “save”, it doesn’t save! Can’t unsubscribe via App Store after deleting the appI don’t like how the subscription is handled. When you delete the app, you can’t unsubscribe through the App Store like most apps. To cancel, you have to go inside the app first, and then it redirects you to their website to complete the cancellation. Fraudulent MisrepresentationIf I could give this app a -10 I would. It is false advertising and fraudulent misrepresentation at its finest. Their ads promise an AI twin based on a photo, but it’s impossible to upload anything other than videos. To top it off most languages that one would want a video translated into are not available. Save your moneyI spoke to tech-support before purchasing the pro subscription. I was very clear about what my needs were, which is I need it to edit all silent parts of the video, add captions and do zoom in Zoom out. I was told that the Captions pro was unlimited and could take care of that. I paid $13.49 for the monthly subscription and I used the edit features in the app that come with my plan apparently and editing one video took almost an hour, and when I went to export it, it said I had to upgrade my plan. Nickel & DimersI had this app a while back. I paused or cancelled it for a short while and when I renewed they never mentioned they took away some features on the paid version I had (Pro) then today I try to do an AI edit and it tells me I need to upgrade again to have that feature even though it used to be on Pro. AngryUnderstand AI tools cost money to run, but I’m not a casual user — I create multiple videos daily. That’s why I upgraded to the Max plan. Paying $34.99/month and still being limited by a usage cap was not clearly explained, and it completely slows down my workflow. You call it “full access,” but I’m already hitting limits just a few days in. If only a small percentage of users hit the cap, then this plan clearly wasn’t made for active creators — the ones using the platform properly. And honestly, if the prompt-to-video quality was on the level of Google Veo or Gigs AI, I might overlook the cap. But it’s not. The visuals are basic — not even close to cinematic — and the generation options are limited. If you were going to introduce a credit system, you should’ve at least sent out an email or in-app alert asking for user feedback first. Ads are deceivingThe ads make this app look so easy. Well the AI feature only allows one video at a time. And it can’t be longer than 2 minutes. Disappointing Experience with Premium PlanI opted for the premium plan, expecting faster video creation and more advanced features. Initially, the app worked great, and videos were created quickly. However, after a few videos, the process slowed down significantly—now it takes more than an hour to create a single video, which is frustrating.
Another issue is the inconsistency in video expressions. For example, when I used the word “amazing” in the first version of a script, the expression was spot on. But after making minor changes to the script, the same word had no expression at all. This inconsistency makes it hard to maintain quality.
Editing is also quite limited. If I want to make a small change to the script, I have to start from scratch, which is extremely time-consuming. Basic editing features like those in the VN app are missing.
The cutout feature also has glitches. After adding a background, the character’s movements often look unnatural—like the video jumps between the arms while speaking. The background should be on a separate layer to avoid this issue. Due to these problems, I often need to use other editing apps just to fix these flaws, which defeats the purpose of using this app in the first place.
Overall, the app lacks flexibility and essential editing options, especially for the price of the premium plan. It’s not worth the investment considering the slow processing and limited editing capabilities. I hope the developers address these issues soon..LuckylaxaVersion: 12.18.0

GlitchesSpend over 4 hours editing a video, after the first export (an hour in) it shuffled all of my overlays, background and caption. I tried fixing it which added the additional three hours of my time. After fixing the issue and getting ready to post the following day, I noticed it shuffled again at the end of my video.
