I never take the time to leave review for anything, but really saw the need to leave one for this game. Believe it or not, I actually bought this game for the switch a few years ago but never played it. Once I saw it for iOS I decided to finally take a dive, and boy what a good game. Interesting take on a game, when I was told it was a weird copy of classic Zelda titles. But that is not the case. Interesting mechanic to just explore until you die, and fun way to plan upgrades for yourself and weapon before each outing. Thought id just enjoy a little here and there, but here I am about 2 hours later unable to put the controller down!
The rogue like is very driven so I’m not sure how long the game is gonna last because everybody in the town takes 100 gems to upgrade and I’ve already gotten 100 gems and I’ve been playing less than an hour and there’s only like six people I think there’s stuff you can buy too. I buy stuff they’ll be replacement items more expensive anyhow it’s a really cute game, but you have a city that stays the same as floating in the air and then he just run around on the ground and then when you die, they pick you up ““to make it, nonviolent game
I know that most games on mobile don’t come with a premium, but this game is much more than worth it. The world is fun, controls are tight and engaging, music is good, and gameplay loop is some of the best that a roguelite has to offer. The world is procedurally generated but still extremely well done, and the rate of progress to failure is spot on. Whether on mobile or any other platform, I highly recommend this game.
I was hooked from the start when I saw the art style. Then I saw the devs were the same as MANY other games I LOVE. For one, Dead Cells. But THIS game is equally amazing. The art, the story, the mechanics, the style. Absolutely positively love it. Can’t praise it enough. As others have said: BUY IT. Now I’m going to go buy it on switch as well :) because that’s how good it is. EDIT: I bought it on Switch as well 🤙 get some
I’m still in the beginning, but so far the game has a solid story and a well designed world. However, the only criticism I have is about the lack of proper instructions, a tiny button appeared at the corner of the screen and I had to look for it for a while until I realized that’s what I had to do, in the beginning I had to switch the saves because I missed what the robot assistant said in the beginning and the instructions weren’t replayed. Besides, fun, interesting game!

I’ve run into an error with the audio, I can’t hear anything in the game no music and no sound effects I’ve tried working with the audio editor I’ve restarted my phone and deleted and reinstalled it and I still can’t hear anything I would hope that this gets fixed soon but otherwise it’s a great game
It’s been pretty fun so far I enjoy the visible changes to the environment when you upgrade. The combat part can be tricky but not complicated and overall enjoyable. My favorite part however is the fact that when you die while adventuring you don’t lose the resources you need to upgrade. Overall a great game and I’m looking forward to finishing it.
Very few games make me want to actually leave a review if the pop up for leaving a review comes out. This game is very underrated and well worth the money. The story is great and the mechanics are unique. My one gripe is that I couldn’t play while I was on an airplane because Game Center couldn’t connect. Aside from that it it in my top tier of mobile games along with the infinity blade trilogy and zombieville
Most mobile games are either loaded with terrible value in app purchases or just aren’t very good. Sparklite is neither. The graphics are retro and modern at the same time, the controls are tight, the audio fits perfectly and the whole thing comes together in one great package. Sparklite compromises on no front and is a great Zelda-esque roguelite. 10/10 Buy it now.
This game really feels like they gave Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past a roguelite feel to it and I absolutely love it. The music even has a very Zelda feel to it yet still feels original. I love how you have a little base you go back to to upgrade along with yourself. Definitely worth playing if you’re into any of the things I just mentioned.
Didn’t think it would be this good, but hope you guys keep updating it and adding more stuff. Maybe sometime let us customize our home base and upgrade items. Reminds me of terraria and I hope it takes off, keep adding stuff and levels and shiii.
The beginning can be a little rough at first in terms of knowing what to do and getting killed a lot but if you just keep trying and keep banking sparklite, it opens up pretty quickly and becomes and amazing game. So much fun! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys rogue lites and these SNES pixel type graphics. Such a blast!
Loved the game, art style, story with fun characters and interesting mobs. I chose to take my time and grind up to have lots of hearts and 2 gold wrench upgrades, but after trying to beat the final boss about a dozen times I’m giving up :(. I get to the third stage and just get pounded. Watching other’s vids it looks like the difficulty was amped up in this version vs. what I see in the videos.
Honestly when my freind recommended this to me I thought it was going to be boring like all the other open world style RPGs. Sparklite is a really thought out game, the controls are simple yet perfect, when exploring you get to meet some pretty cool people, and overall the story so far seems amazing. This game is phenomenal.
I love this game so much that I bought it on steam as well. I wish that they could come up with more games soon. The game controls are simple and the artwork is gorgeous. The plot is to the point and I love having a tiny companion. Would highly recommend on iOS.
You got the replay-able, randomized dungeon. There are the multiple stores to be rebuilt via the game’s currency. Also, your elders left you an item that will be the beginning of the unraveling of the mysteries of the game’s world. Mysteries you (and your pet) need to solve by delving into X amount of dungeons. However, i have never had slots on the weapon in a dungeon crawler.
Just about an hour in at the moment, but I am really enjoying the new (yet easy to understand) innovations in this game. The map is great, combat is fun (not super challenging yet but I’m sure a difficulty bump is coming), very pretty and engaging graphics. Gotta keep playing now. Great job!
Honestly, I’m impressed. I couldn’t get into this game right away after I purchased it, but once I got myself a game controller and connected it via Bluetooth, I couldn’t put this game down. Highly recommended & my bestest praises to the dev team! 👏
Love the game, perfect for a litle short play session, like dead cells or chrono trigger in bursts. Jsut wish it had more endgame :) or new content if the dev had any more visions for it. But as a paid product, the game is complete, as it should be. But new stuff would be dope :)
This game is pretty awesome! I’ve been playing for around 6 hours and it just keeps delivering with cool storylines, new gadgets and tools. The price might put you off, but it’s definitely worth it. 10/10 would recommend!
Follows the classic RPG style and contains all the elements fans love. Easy game play but there are some issues with the controls but luckily if there’s a glitch you only lose gear that is irrelevant to progress, & can start over as if playing a whole new level.
WELL worth $5. It’s part Zelda a link to the past, part dead cells, part enter the gungeon, part hyperlite drifter. It’s fun and light, console quality, and very enjoyable. I often find rogue lites tedious and quickly tire of them…this has kept my interest. Buy this game !
Got this in hopes I’d fine a game for my phone with substance that didn’t beg me for money or spam me with ads. So glad I found this, it scratches my roguelike itch and doesn’t hound me with ads by just playing. Wish more games were like this.
Easily the best Phone based rougelite game I’ve ever played, and that’s coming from a game designer myself! Fantastic work, and I look forward to every game you put out. If I could give a sixth star, I would have.
Game is super fun, well worth playing. If you like roguelites or games with deep progression, or any kind of old school Zelda game, you’ll love this one. Definitely going to become one of my main games on mobile!
Really amazing hidden gem, I love the look, the story, everything about it. The controls are a bit wonky however, I rly think it’s a game best played on controller, but either way it saddens me this game isn’t getting more attention. If you are on the fence don’t be, just grab it up.
Pretty great game so far! Not as challenging as I expected it to be but I’ve only beat the first boss so far but the controls work great for a phone game! I would for sure recommend playing this game!
Great game, but when I paid to unlock the full game it didn’t work. Pain twice and no game. Not sure if that’s a one off issue or not.
I was actually quite surprised by how well-made this game was! The control may take a little bit time to learn, but I love how well this game guides you. Definitely recommend it!
This game is fantastic. The exact right amount of difficulty, adventure, and story. The music is extremely well done and catchy. Massive kudos to the whole team!
It’s a fun game. So far the controls are fine. And the story is entertaining. Making progress and unlocking things is smooth.
Great replayability with a nice variety of enemies and mini dungeons early on. Ramping up difficulty even after the first few runthroughs is nice. Well made and fun!
I’d like to thank the developers for bringing real joy back into a genre I’ve grown tired of. You can literally feel the passion they had for this project. That’s a rare thing these days.
Just got thru first boss, game is amazing so far. Definitely would recommend using a controller, or at very least shutting off small ai. The music is great, and so far story is good. Recommend
I finished 1st boss and just want to give quick review, very well done game, we need more of this kind of style with a story line and good controls. Controller support is a must.
The game is amazing and all but it has issues with registering the ps5 dualsense controllers format ui , maybe in the next update dualsense ui will be dedicated when I link up my controller.
Excellent adventure roguelite. Good touch controls but I prefer playing with a controller. Thank you for including controller support. Just finished the first Titan. Off to destroy the other 4 and save the world!
I really enjoyed this game! I can't speak to touch controls, since I played with my Backbone controller, but I really had fun with my time with the game. Definitely recommend!
Hours upon hours of playability, a learning curve on how to play that makes you want to get better and a progression system that feels rewarding
Bought the whole game after five minutes of playing. The 8-bit style and action is nostalgic. Love the game 🤘🏼
I got a glitch in the blimp puzzle where my character was moved over water after my blimp blew up multiple times. I tried to jump onto land but I couldn’t died.
It has been a long while to play a game which doesn’t take a healer or team of unknowns except a little wit!
Man, I’m having a blast with this game. It felt similar to both Hyper Light Drifter and Dead Cells, but it’s more whimsical and more mechanical. Would recommend this game who enjoys randomized rougelike!
One amazing start to an awesome app, can’t wait to reach further to see what’s ahead.
This is hands down one of the best 2D games I’ve ever played. It’s beautiful. It’s fun. It keeps you coming back for more…. Absolutely check this thing out!
Interestingplot
Out of all the hundreds of mobile games I play this one I always go back too because it is awesome. It’s a little hard but I like a challenge . Good job on this one developer’s.
I got the game today and have been playing for roughly five hours and beat the first boss (I'm not great at these games). It's proving to be pretty fun, and forgiving when you die (particularly for a Roguelike). I'd recommend it for that, at least. No micro transactions in sight either.
Have a great amount of content in good details, kinda like a 3D Dead Cell with less action aspect. So far the only complaint I have is the inconvenience of opening the map and using the widgets. And btw Ada’s pose is so cute when getting new stuff, that motivates me to explore the map, just to see his (I believe is a he?) cunning smile.
An amazing game! Despite the amount of games Consoles provide, this kept me grinding for hours to get sparklites! Overall, it’s amazing!
Only an hour into it, but I can tell this was crafted with great care. Everything from the mechanics to the retro vibe is spot on! Big shout out to the devs, look forward to seeing more of this masterpiece!! 1000% worth the entry fee.
I like what I’ve seen so far! Looking forward to delving in further
Sparklite Negative Reviews and Ratings
I’ve been playing since last night, a couple hours with of gameplay, I guess, and so far…I’m still waiting for something to happen. All I’m doing is going down, battling monsters, coming back up and spending money on building workshops for the npcs (workshops that don’t really do a whole heck of a lot) then repeat. I mean, the land technically changes, but it feels like the same exact thing unless you memorize the exact layout each time you go down, then I guess you would be able to appreciate the “difference” more. I guess you’d know “hey, last time this area had a tree on the left and a lake in the center. Now it has a lake on the top and a rock on the left” I don’t know, hopefully this is still just some sort of reality long introduction? I’ll update if I find out that it is.
The game is a pretty limited Legend of Zelda remake (from when it was still an overhead view game). The monsters are ok. The upgrades are creative. The bosses - if you’ve played any of these games, you’ve seen them. The problem is the controls. They are so imprecise I end up dying not because I didn’t know what to do but because i pushed the button and the game did nothing or moved me in a different direction. Fix that and you have a nice 4-star adventure game. Right now it’s just frustration.
All you seem to do is drop into the world, collect money, and then return to base to get a few upgrades. The majority of gameplay consists of fighting monsters but it’s super simple combat and not very engaging. Very repetitive. The game runs well and looks good, and the story isn’t too bad either…but at the end of the day it just feels really boring to me.
Simple game and might be fun but using no “gamepad” the controls should be at the top rather than the bottom of the screen. Easy to move the joystick around but the action buttons are fixed in an uncomfortable spot for holding the phone.
Wait to get this game, it isn’t finished yet. The game crashes at least every thirty minutes or so, sometimes mid-run sometimes at the start screen (I use an iPhone 7). Hopefully they fix this problem quickly.
Either I am missing something BIG, or this game is ridiculously and needlessly grinding. You play the same, small part of the world over and over and over, trying to slowly accumulate currency to VERY SLOWLY upgrade things to not destroyed. Don’t waste your time.
Game looks nice but I couldn’t get past the first part since the “inspect” button would not activate. The other buttons all worked fine. I am on an iPhone 16 pro max. I tried changing the button sizes but it still didn’t work.
Great game but I can’t complete some parts as screen resolution doesn’t allow me to see the places I need or get to them to access, or shoot items at.
C’est juste pour le download, mais pas gratuit pour vrai. Il était payant avant et maintenant gratuit, mais payant maintenant
Love the game, but I can’t get the blitzer in the 4th area. No support after a week so my stars go down. Too bad as it’s a really great game.
